AVOID AT ALL COSTS- pay £5 more somewhere else then coming to EE.
Worst ever service from a broadband provider. The speed lets you down and the customer service fails you miserably.
Moved from Sky to EE with promises of best provider of broadband etc etc. I got Fibre broadband and the speed is worst then dial up.
Had terrible issues with set up first, delays in installation, sent faulty router, engineer did not turn up and no sympathy at all from customer services. EE took over from Sky and shut down my line without activiting the new phone and internet on the promised day, 2 weeks of delays without a single apology or refund/compensation. Didn't even provide me with a mobile data allowance to use in the interim even though I am on EE mobile.
Second part of misery came in when i moved home 10 months later, gave 2 weeks notice to EE and a confirmed date. Again they shut down the service at the old property without installing it at the new property and its been 2 weeks I am without phone or broadband with no resolution date in sight as EE customer service keeps on blaming BT for their failures.
I am regretting getting contract of 18 mnths from EE. -

Switched across to EE a year ago as I had my mobile with them.
Positives:
+ Price was good at the time
Negatives:
- Customer service is poor. I had to call twice for a mac code today. Second time took 25 mins mostly on hold and the cust retention team effectively told me I was lying about having called earlier in the year about broadband speed!
- Struggled to get 2mb speeds when TalkTalk were usually 5-6mb.
- The router was poor as well, couldn't get reception one room across unless the door was open.
Everyone makes mistakes, but don't call your customers a liar!

Switched from Plusnet, who of which where fantastic, to see what they where like and I have to say I should have seen some reviews prior to doing so. With Plusnet, whenever I did need to call them, I was greeted politely and felt like I was talking to someone who not only knew what they were doing, but someone who did everything they could to help. I've been with EE for nearly two weeks now and have had to phone many times. Only to find that their customer service are not only rude, but are un helpful aswell. When I phone them I'm expecting them to be able to give me help. Not to sit there mulling in words which slightly sound English. Not being racist or anything but it's awful. The broadband itself is absolutely terrible. I've been using my 4G on my phone whenever I can as it's actually faster and more reliable. EE as a phone proviDer are good but as for their Internet, it's a no no. Should be getting about 20Mgb and I'm just about getting (if lucky) 2-3. And every so often it will just drop out completely. The router they provide is terrible. The signal is very weak when it reaches my room and it's not like it's that far away. Don't even care about the cancellation fee, I'm going back to Plusnet or having a look at SKY or BT. Worst provider I've ever been with. -

EE has the worst customer service I have ever experienced first I ring up for a mobile contract only to be told I can't have one unless I also take out broadband I explain that I am already in a contract he replies saying that they buy out contracts and I don't need to do anything at all I ask if my you view box will still work (3 times I asked) his reply yes it will.. Next day I get an email from Talk Talk saying I owe them money so I ring back up only to be told I have to pay my contract off and they will reimburse me. I agree to stay with EE. My EE went live today only for my you view box not to work, I ring up again to be told the speed is too slow so no it won't work. I try to reinstate my Talk Talk only to have to do a new order which will actually cost me more than I was already paying and will be two weeks without Internet whilst I have exams and need to study!!! I ring EE back up the customer services are good and the guy was helpful I then look at my bill which has an outstanding charge on for 33.02 how can I have an outstanding charge on something I have never used?? And I see a 'deposit for service' of £50.00 has also been taken out of my account something I new nothing about! He never even told me how long the contract was for! This service is horrendous and has resulted in me spending time I should be spending studying re ordering a service I already had and was happy with. Absolutely disgusting! It annoys me I have to even give them one star! -

Worst, worst, worst, worst broadband I have ever used. Switched from Talk Talk thinking I was getting a better deal, but that was a huge mistake. First had it installed back in September, well they didn't connect in time so had no internet for a week. Then they said the fibre broadband doesn't work in my area AFTER I switched. At least once a week the internet stops working. Then goes back to the same rubbish speed it provides. Not enough to even download/stream content. Youtube is a no go area at times. For the past 3 weeks my internet has been the equivalent to the dial up internet from the past. Customer service staff has gone as far as to ask me to get a screw driver to unscrew my phone socket. As far as I'm concerned, you bring an engineer to my home and do what you think needs doing. After 4 awful months with EE, I'm switching back to Talk Talk. Your mobile network is just as bad by the way. -

I've been with my internet provider for a long time. Started out as Freeserve, then Wanadoo, then Orange. 18 years later I find myself with EE. OMG, what a shower! They turned off my land-line and broadband on New Year's Eve. Their mistake but despite repeated requests for an explanation, EE has yet to explain how it happened or apologize for causing major inconvenience. They promised to reconnect and restore within 72 hours and notify via text. However, after 72 hours, no text arrived and it was a pure accident that I discovered that we now had a new phone number! After repeated calls and six days, we finally got the broadband working. Irritatingly, it seems we may be on a new contract. A new router (yet to arrive at time of writing) must be used with new login / username and password. All very inconvenient and frustrating at a time of year when good communications are everything. After 18 years using the same email address, I am about to dump EE. New contract or not, it might be lawyer time - EE was in breach of contract by deleting my account. Words fail me!! -

WORST BROADBAND EVER.
Terrible, slow awful internet. Always cutting out and stopping altogether.
Patronising unhelpful technical assistants.
Wouldn't ever go back to these amateurs ever again.

Appalling: rang them to move house and was told that all was fine. Rang again after the day broadband was due to be set up and was told that I had no account with EE (despite having used them for some time previously), eventually found out that they had messed up the transfer and that they would have to start again (broadband would now be set up on jan 2, we moved on Dec 16, I initially rang on Dec 7). Then rang today and they have no record of my last conversation and the broadband order has not been set up. So we are starting again, and apparently will now be expedited... broadband now set to arrive on Jan 6. If not I will leave as they will have to waive the cancellation fee (only possible if they have taken more than 30 days to process the order - a length of time that speaks volumes for their own confidence in their abilities to work to a deadline).
Annoying since prior to this we had no issues (hence the speed and reliability scores). -

The worst broadband that I have ever had. Constant problem, and they were never very keen to solve my problem. I paid today to break the contract and be free of them. If you want to have headaches in your life, get EE. -

We can only get approx .5 download and upload. It says we should be getting.2.5 on ordinary copper lines and 3.5 on high speed copper lines. Others in the village is getting 3 to 4. Can you please look into this. Thanks. -

its a shame I have to give any stars at all. having been a mobile customer and happy with the service, I bought into home broadband, 4 weeks installation time. it worked fine for the first two weeks then speed has dropped to a max of 0.2mps when it actually works at all. after spending a total of 14 hours over the following 8 weeks on the phone switching the router on and off then holding while a line check is done. then being told they will call me back and they don't. being transferred from dept. to dept. Im amazed a company can still be in business with this kind of service. but after reading reviews from all isp's it would seem that there isn't a good internet provider. much like choosing who to vote for or which bank to use, gotta find the the one who will screw you over the least -

Signed up on 10th Dec, told earliest engineer could make it was 29th. Cancelled mobile broadband in readiness. 29th came, I waited in for engineer but no sign of one. Rang EE to see if one on way and was told that our order hadn't been put through!! Someone should have rung us, but they were too busy. It would be another 14 days before an engineer could come. Will cancel and go back to mobile broadband, I think. From reading the reviews on here, sounds like I had lucky escape. Terrible service. -

I should have had EE broadband installed on 12/12/2014 and here I am on 30/12/2014 without any internet connection despite over 4 hours of phone calls(including the 30min hold time to actually speak to someone) and a number of promises from EE members of staff saying that I will have internet in the next few days.
Originally I thought what a great deal at roughly £17.50 a month for broadband and weekend landline calls. But from reading other views when I do finally get broadband (on roughly Jan 6 so my account says)my connection will be poor. I think I am going to cut the cord while I still can.
I also have a mobile phone with EE as well and I've got to say the signal I receive is absolutley awful.
They advertise themselves as "No other network is bigger, faster and MORE RELIABLE", but infact the opposite is true.
Customers take some advice and pay that little extra to get BT broadband or something more reliable and avoid the disappointment of EE the network which is bigger, faster and more reliable than any other network at taking your money and wasting your time. -

I am giving one star so that my review will register here. They deserve no star. EE are the absolute worst company I have had the misfortune to deal with. Recently transferred from another broadband and landline operator. EE could not connect my broadband and hence I have been without for over one week. I have requested a MAC code to transfer away from EE. Their customer service centre is a joke. They have mis-sold the package based on false pricing information. And now to crown it all, I have discovered that they have switched my landline number with another person's so I can not use the landline. My advice: do not go near EE for broadband and landline package. -

Having recently (15 days) changing to EE for broadband provider i would advise to stay away at all costs! When enquiring about product we were advised that the signal strength would be reliable a stable enough for our requirements, having 2 teenagers in house we knew that xbox live would be a big must and ipad browsing is constant. Well, unfortunately the xbox is set up approximately 7 mtrs away from the router and the poor signal strength makes it impossible to contact, if 2 ipad on at the same time they start buffering when a search is requested from the opposite pad. I've contacted technical 4 times, advised to change settings on account which made no difference, asked how many obstructions between the router and the xbox ( we live in a bungalow so only 2 walls - can't imagine what it would be like if we did have upstairs) we then got advised to go and buy a the best router available - this is surprising as theirs are meant to be the best! And they would refund us the cost if it was any better! On another occasion on to technical we got disconnected after being on line for 15mins .... Nobody bothered to contact us back! Finally my latest attempt choose a different option on automated line "if your thinking of leaving" .. Here I was told that I would have to buy out of the 12month contract. I explained my how I had stressed my concerns at the time of purchase about signal and stability - highlighting all the items that would be running at the same time and that the sales person had assured us it would be sufficient to cover our requirements. I explained all dealings I had made with technical and that with the service being provided was insufficient I felt I had good reason to beable to cancel my contract without having to pay out. I was advised that all sales persons say things to make you purchase!!! Hence why I've given 2 stars for customer service because honesty has to be given reward!
I will be checking out with the ombudsman my rights!
AVOID THE HEADACHE ! And go else where! -

Been waiting over two weeks from promised connection date with no broadband. Cannot speak to customer support unless I call at 7am. Two hour wait at other times. Unable to tell me when I will be connected.
Comments:
initially broadband speed was on a par with what i was getting with talk talk.
However, a couple of months down the line my speed is down to a snails pace.
1.15mb download and a pitiful 0.12mb upload.
Never been in the best area for speed but that's approx 4 times slower than I had previously.
It's also pretty obvious they're throttling bandwidth p2p also just to make matters worse.
awful. Can't wait until my contract is up now. Only 10 months to go...
