Was with Vodafone for two years - they were OK. The router wasn't especially good and struggled to reach two rooms away. Customer service were relatively good if you got the right person, did offer bill credit that I could use for boosters.

Unreliable internet and billing, was down internet for at least 3 days, had to jump through hoops to speak to a human, hour later on the phone given 2 days to fix it, said id get the days I had no internet deducted from my next bill per day, thus reflected the following bill but then two months later added it back on, then when trying to fix that jump through hoops again to speak to a human and an over an hour phone call to be told you need to be out of internet over 2-3 days which I was to get anything off my bill, my missing of internet was a big disruption and the time taken to try and fix is your problem in vodaphones eyes and missing internet for 2-3 days should be expected and not seen as an issue even though your paying for a service they aren’t providing. On daily use it often won’t work for half an hour etc.
never again. Their billing department is a disgrace, plus the increase in charges each year is shocking.

Terrible service from Vodafone! I’ve been experiencing ongoing issues with my internet connection for months, and despite multiple complaints, nothing has been resolved. I'm supposed to be getting 900 Mbps, but I’m consistently stuck with speeds below 20 Mbps. This is completely unacceptable, and Vodafone has shown no urgency in fixing it.
If you’re considering their service, be prepared for slow speeds, poor customer support, and endless frustration. I’m tired of temporary fixes and excuses—I need a real solution. Absolutely do not recommend!

Terrible company. Internet fiber cable broken over 2 days ago! Reported to Vodafone who took pictures and told me next day 8am there will be an engineer from city fiber to fix it! It’s 2 days now and still no engineer and they keep asking me to wait at home and they are coming! 3 days no internet. If you have city fiber doing the cabling and Vodafone as the broadband provider then I suggest don’t use them as both the provider in this case Vodafone and city fiber don’t know what is going on in between them and you will spend a lot of days waiting and losing money. For your peace of mind and to stop being stuck without internet do not use Vodafone and city fiber.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced, it sounded like they were working from home with very poor signal. We signed up as new broadband customers, received a confirmation and welcome email. We waited in on the allocated installation day (taken a day off work to do so) and no engineer showed up. After calling the so called customer service, we were told that we failed their checks with zero explanation why. What's worse is we had no communication about this, only confirmation of the installation day. We are spending our money at Virgin and will not recommend Vodaphone to anyone.

I haven't been in touch to query reliability issue, but have never been in touch with any previous provider either and never any problems with broadband or fibre before.
I only ever change for a price deal.
Just realised this week that we are all (in the house) experiencing internet drop out both at peak and off peak times, this is the worst broadband reliability we've ever had and have lived in the area for 12 years and had perfect reliability and enough broadband to suit our needs even at the much lower speeds and non-fibre set up we had years ago.
My son is becoming frustrated that his games freeze while his chums continue the online games they are playing and I've noticed my files are flagged working offline at points throughout the day when I'm the only one in the house.
I can't see what difference customer service could make as I'm on the fastest fibre set up I've ever had so no value to getting an upgrade.

Bought Broadband fibre 2 years ago, its been very patchy with my signal quite dropping regularly,
My wifi just stopped for no reason despite i did all the checks the advisor said the checks had been made by Vodafone and its nothing to do with them and i need to contact openreach.
after 9 days without any service and been advised by openreach its a problem with vodafone, i really got angry on the phone.
This time it was a understanding women that told me their Engineer should have been instructed to examine the vodafone equipment and guess what , an hour later she called me back to tell me its the Router that is faulty so sent me a upgraded one and its fine,
now my contract is out and i asked to change to another cheaper deal but they insist i stay on the same or upgrade to more powerfull one i dont need.
they simply do not listen to my needs.apart from the openreach station being minutes from where its common for netflix to freeze or the screen to go blank.
My download is 8 or could be 30mb,its s unreliabe
my neighbours use plusnet and other providers and laugh at mine,so time to change

Absolute garbage and nothing worked. Bought a broadband plan and it took me 10 days to get things installed, but didn't work at all after another 5 days. I've talked to the service guys but even after telling them nothing worked and I needed an actual help, they always said the same things like resetting the routers and wouldn't listen to me at all. All of the asked me to wait for another 24 hours, and after 5 days I just gave up. I just wasted my time and energy on this trash. Avoid at any cost

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I called to cancel my broadband, they said that I had given them too much notice and that I had to call within 28 days of the date of change. So I called back, and they put in the wrong date. When trying to fix it, they then told me that it couldn't be changed within 28 days. They offered to extend the period by one week (which I wanted) but said that they would charge me for another month. I agreed, and then they didn't do this. So now me and my partner will have to make alternate arrangements because we both work from home and won't have any internet.
Every call involves extended periods of being put on hold, constantly passing security every time you are transferred to a new department (which will be a lot) and involves listening to the same two songs on repeat - by the sounds of it, being played on a broken, tinny speaker at the bottom of the ocean. I'm only giving one star because you won't allow me to give fewer. It's possible their customer service team is some kind of elaborate practical joke or special needs outreach program, either of which would explain why an internet provider cannot be contacted online. Speed is fine, service occasionally drops. Overall, bad value for money and zero support.

When connected via fibre to the Openreach network, speeds are good. However connection was inconsistent throughout an eight month period across two different properties, with the connection dropping out seemingly randomly several times per hour. Very unreliable connection to the network.
Customer service was extremely poor - solely script following and no real engagement to fix the problem. If you need to contact customer service on more than one occasion, be prepared to sit through the tedious same script and needing to repeat tasks for each contact you make.
Overall - not recommended, avoid and find another more reliable provider with better customer service.

Extremely frustrating service. I chose it because it still has an office on the high street, but my attempt to set a timely activation date failed, first it didn't go through while I was sure they set up everything. Internal system failure, apparently. When I tried to resolve the issue and to set it up again, to get a refund, to set up a direct debit, the only way to reach them is the outsourced customer service by chat - which is designed to frustrate customers. I spent over 10 hours chatting with extremely patient and useless agents. So, if you can, avoid getting into the same trap, but if you have no other choice, try to get everything they say in writing and good luck. Abysmal customer service, certainly the worst in my experience.

Open Reach network speeds are excellent. Vodafone CPE (router etc) and apps are unreliable. Customer service is appalling, with endless online menus before eventually being passed to unskilled faults teams which are outsourced overseas.
Faults teams do not listen to troubleshooting information, and instead blindly follow scripts that often lead to “not Vodafone’s problem”. They tried to tell me that all devices on my network must be faulty, and it could not possibly be a problem with their router, despite all evidence to the contrary (wired and wireless devices falling off network, or reporting that they were connected to router but were not connected to the Internet).
Avoid Vodafone. I have been with much better ISPs who also use Open Reach.

Vodafone Broadband speed upgrade. Abysmal service. Speed not provided and unstable. Often worse than prior to upgrade. Online chats terminated by agents. The online chats have taken between half an hour to an hour. You are already frustrated by now and terminating the chat without a resolution, just because it fell in the too difficult box is absolutely infuriating! Faulty Vodafone telephone menu making it impossible to make a requested callback. The telephone answering service does not recognise the digit '2'. As it was option 2 that I needed, to speak to the right people, I could not get through. AND the message I received had threatened to close my ticket (without resolution) unless I called back!!!! Worst service ever received. Vodafone are well deserving of the Title of worst Broadband provider.

Even though I signed a 2 year contract, they automatically put you on a 30 day rolling contract after the 2 year end date. Customer service do not tell you this when buying the contract, and they don't remind you of this. I went to Vodafone,due to their apparent good reviews. How wrong was I/them. Customer welcome pack supplies an invalid phone contact number! As to customer service, I contacted them 5 times and my analysis of them is, they do not listen to the customer, they ask for details which I couldn't access due to NO internet, even though this was why I was talking to them. No resolution from them , eventually had to ask to be put through to tech. dept. Again no resolution only a promise that he would phone me back within 2 hours. He never did. I have various mobility issues ans a visual impairment yet he still wanted me to carry out various tasks, despite me saying that I was unable to do these.Customer service said they were unable to
put me through to complaints,yet one lady was able and did so.
Complaints dept. again seem to have an issue in listening. Still no satisfactory resolution.

I swapped from BT to Vodafone as BT prices werea lot higher.
The swap over was seemless and initially I was quite happy.
Never once had z problem using BT upstairs on a chromecast using 5ghz. With this router the chromecast was for everloosing signal.i downloaded the app and found I could split router between 2.4ghz and 5ghz. So I set up 2.4ghz and it was better. I could also manually change channels using the app this helped then after an update I could no longer do that but could on the Internet. Now they have stopped you changing channels on the Internet. I tried running a firestick upstairs on 5ghz useless. I then tried running chromecast downstairs in same room as router 2.4ghz OK 5ghz useless.
I feel the broadband itself is fine its their router that is crap.
I see they have brought out a new router they must know the model they sent me is useless.
Can't wait for my contract to end then I can move to another isp

Counting days till my contract ends and I can drop this like a ton of bricks. There is no aspect of Vodafone broadband that I would recommend.
Speed - Depends on which day, hour and side of the bed you got up on. Some days you will get the speed promised, but on most it is well below the commitment. In fact, even Alexa cannot connect (can you believe that!)
Reliability - The lesser said, the better. If you ever have a teams or a zoom call, please make sure you start with a disclaimer - "my broadband sucks and I might get disconnected.". That way, you will at least get empathy - not the business though
Customer service - Does not exist. They close cases faster than you can tell them your problem. They will update your router software every time you call them, but never send out the Engineer.
Overall - The only feeling you are left with on this contract is - "Why, oh why did I sign up for this $h!T"

The worst I've ever had to deal with. Imagine, I applied for the engineers to install my broadband on the 1st of May 2024 and for some reason the incorrect information was given to them and they didn't contact me. After realizing their mistake and apologised saying that its their fault they told me they can't come again until May 17th. Absolutely ridiculous. They are the worst and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. I've had them before at a previous location however the Internet was OK I've never had to interact with them in such manner until I moved recently and applied for my broadband to be moved to my new address. The first manager I spoke with was trying to get me and early date since it wasn't my fault and it seem he had no power over the situation as whoever he spoke with told him they couldn't give me an earlier date. Vodafone needs better management. Its like everyone does their own thing. Now am gonna be without Internet until the 24th of May. I wish I could go on the news with this and how it has affected me. No one
should have to deal with this.

Broadband okay,but expensive. On 14 March I tried to take advantage of an offer for two year extension at £24 pm with no increase until April 2025. Previously i had paid £25+.In April 2024 I was charged £27.16 (a 7.9% increase was added). When queried by email I received a response saying phone them. After going through various hoops and security checks a chap said he would transfer me to get the matter sorted. A lady then put me through different security hoops and finally said I failed as I didn't know the contract date! Another call got a chap in India, who said the original 'update' request had been cancelled by Vodafone for a "technical issue", but couldn't say what. He put me through to a lady who arranged the update, but the start date was not backdated and my landline number could not be kept! This second call took over 40 minutes- and I still don't know my new number to advise all involved. Complete fiasco and customer service really does not exist.

Absolutely disgusted with vadaphone. I had there home broadband fitted and it was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I've had maybe a month in my 2 year contract where the line hasn't dropped out.
I've had over 12 visits from openreach and spent over 20 hours on the phone to them. They put me through the same checks every time and every time I waste an hour and resolve nothing. Today I called them yet again and the person I spoke to did the same tests again and broke the router and I have to wait 3 days for an engineer. He won't have a router with him so I'll have to wait for that after he's left. The entire help center / customer service department are extremely difficult to understand and just put you on hold for 10 minutes at a time.
Save your money / time / frustration and go with any other company. I can't wait till June when my contract ends.

I was late in my bill month, so fair enough service got cut off. It cut at 1am while I was working on something, tried to pay the bill through the app on my phone, didn't work. After going round in loops on the automated phone service, it hung up on me when it said it would take the payment.
I got through everything the first go but because I took 3 seconds to get the expiry date on my card, it just cancelled and hung up. Never thought it'd be so much hassle to pay a company.

I’ll do the positive bit first, compared to Virgin, who I was previously with, their broadband is reliable and fast. For 12 months it was perfect. It has dropped once and been a bit erratic occasionally, but nothing so serious where I needed to contact them. Just as well because now for the negative.
Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever encountered. They are also devious and dishonest. They left me without broadband for a month when I switched to them because they had a great deal (I’m a mobile customer) and I actually had to go to a shop and demand help because that useless chatbot TOBI is a waste of time and their call centre staff are incompetent. One idiot told
me the man was outside my house working on my full fibre installation (!) this was after they failed to show on the appointed date. Then they said that because my broadband hadn’t been installed during the deal offer I would be paying over twice as much as I thought I would. That wasn’t my fault and I signed up when the deal was still on. I resolved that after a lot of hassle, but then two months later they tried to double the amount again blaming someone for giving me the wrong information. I went as high as I could to resolve that one, succeeded but that was it for me. I vowed that when my contract ends, which is does next month, I will leave. Calling another provider tomorrow. I dread contacting them to give notice, but I’ll do it.
My advice, don’t even think about it. There are better ISPs out there. Vodafone do not deserve the custom.

Terrible customer service and very hard to get money back from when you leave. Customner service is in India, the online help bot is useless, and they're terrible at sorting things out if things go wrong. It took them over a week to sort things out when my broadband went down. They also didn't give me a credit for the week I was without broadband, that they're legally obliged to do. I had to make an official complaint to get the credit added. They also took money out of my account on the day I left them which they have yet to refund any of six weeks later. They generated a credit note after I complained online, but it was for less than half of what they owed me, so I had to lodge another complaint. A terrible company, I will never use them again.

I just left a 2-year contract for Vodafone 35 Mbps speed on full-fibre (FTTP, Openreach fibre network) broadband. Coming to the end of the 24 months period, Vodafone removed the “discount” from the monthly fee making my 35 Mbps broadband as expensive as current Vodafone 100 Mbps. A message started appearing In my online account inviting me to check the special offers Vodafone had for me, currently a client. The problem was that the link did not work: an error message stated that it was not actually possible to show me those offers right now and I had instead to call a Vodafone agent.
I instead filed a complaint for the website not working and I received a call back from the agent handling my complaint. They could not understand why I wasn’t shown the options within my account and could not fix it. They put me in contact with another agent for the renewal.
Before talking to the agent I checked what FTTP speeds were available from Vodafone: Full Fibre 100, Pro II Full Fibre 500, Pro II Full Fibre 900. Way above my requirements but open to consider 100 Mbps for the right price. The agent supposed to keep me as Vodafone customer didn’t know what the Vodafone Full Fibre options were. While on the line they went and asked but received the wrong information and were then convinced that “Full Fibre 100” was not compatible with my setup. They therefore proposed “Pro II Full Fibre 500”, an extremely expensive overkill for my needs.
I was left with no other option then to switch to another ISP, to a 100 Mbps contact by the way.
I wasn’t unhappy with Vodafone but the incompetence of their sale service made it impossible for me to stay with them. I’m annoyed by the fact that I have now to recycle a perfectly working THG3000, the Wi-Fi router Vodafone supplies, which is a superior device than the router provided by my current ISP.

Their call centre is in India the broadband customer service personnel are rude, disrespectful & very unhelpful. I have been experiencing problems with the broadband app & my router for the last week.
Called India several times to try & fix the issue all they did was reset the router three times, then they tell me to manually reset lol, did that guess what that did not work either, they promised call back after call back, never received a single call back.
The staff at the call centre just don't care no empathy for any problems your experiencing, they are abrupt, rude & they even put the phone down on me twice. Am totally done with Vodafone broadband have been charged £30 a month for 64-70Mbs, have now moved to Sky & I am getting 104Mbs for £24 per month... You work out the mathematics...
I even recommended several friends to Vodafone broadband over the years, I have told them all what I have experienced just incase they have problems. Today was the first time I got to speak with someone who I could understand without asking them to repeat what they said half a dozen times!
I actually spoke to someone in England today hurrah!!! But only to tell them I was leaving Vodafone because of the treatment I have experienced by their staff in India who don't care about anything or anyone!
Such a shame Vodafone broadband was reliable in 10yrs I only had three dropouts of my broadband, but when you do have a problem it's enough to make you want to leave. Days spent wasting your time talking to people on the other side of the planet that are just rude, make false promises then put the phone down on you.
I got sent text messages asking how I would rate the service I received from their India call centre, tried to reply several times guess what the messages would not even send lol, so no matter what you rate their staff at no one will find out as you can't send any feedback, sounds like a good scam to me!
Sorry Vodafone but you will keep losing longstanding customers like myself if you keep paying staff that don't care & have no interest in helping you beyond resetting your router. Thanks for the years of service the staff in England are impeccable, it's the other side of the world that lets you down.
Now with Sky (again) I left Sky to move to Vodafone 10yrs ago, but Sky are offering much faster broadband at a much cheaper price, at this point where every penny counts it's a no brainer for me!

I cancelled my broadband with the necessary 30 days notice and was given a disconnection date and told early termination would cost around £10. However, I got a confirmation email with a disconnection date a month later. I let it go. Then they made a “mistake” and actually disconnected two months later! But they kept charging me and I overpaid them until I got fed up and stopped the direct debit. I called them up and a rude and aggressive woman told me I’d need to pay early termination fees of £200 !!! I told her that was impossible as I only had a few months left on the contract - and she suddenly backed down. Unbelievable crookedness. They then got a debt collection company onto me (despite my firm belief it was they who actually owed me money) - for £18. I challenged them (took hours) and they admitted their mistake, deducted £12 from the final bill but still asked me to pay £6 “late payment charge”! When I asked them to waive this as a goodwill gesture because I did not have the time or energy to carry on the dispute for £6, they refused. So, enjoy my review Vodafone: I believe you to be a dishonest and rather nasty organisation.

Useless customer service as has been form any years now. had 40 pounds fraudulently taken from my paypal on monthly topups to a number that didnt belong to me over 4 months on their voxi service. i was also using their voxi service and had my topup coming out of the paypal automtically, but i noticed a second one coming out also. the number i was told was registered in my name so must be a inside/employee doing. vodafone fraud accepted it was fraud but couldnt refund me. told me to talk to voxi (online chat only). they were useless and told me they couldnot do anything unless i pass security on the account that didnt belong to me...?! they referred me to vodafone pay as you go who referred my back to fraud, and the crap circle carries on, again something they have been doing for years (i worked for vodafone for 5-6 years in retail and will tell you first hand its a useless customer service system. (I spent most of my days working thier, arguing with their customer service channels and head office to get right done by the customers as our sales systems instore didnt have access and authority to do everything) and even for a internal employee it was a nightmare to get things sorted out. they implemented a new system a few years back that left customer details and accounts in dissaray. wrong bills, wrong contract dates, lost numbers etc etc, an unbeleivable mess in a mass scale. i tried their social media chat as outlined in their responses to other negative review here... even more useless, you get a reply every 3-5mins and the person you talk to changes every other message. complete waste of time for a company that does not value its customers. there customer base has gone down drastically over the years and now they are looking to join with the 3 network to stay viable business wise (3 being one of the bottom networks of the big 4, and vodafone isnt far off in its current state). id say go bankrupt and go away, vodafone is a shamble. ok while it works, if you have a problem, forget it, in most cases it never gets sorted and you just waste time going around in circles. and vodafone... dont even bother leaving me a reply here to contact you on your socials.. and if you do it will just accertain that you dont care enough to even properly read this negative review. needless to say ive moved away from that last service i has with you (a poxy pay as you go) and i will never use any vodafone or vodafone related service ever again in my life time. good riddance, and good bye. this company has truly become the definition of an utter fail.

Signed up to full fibre 200, paying £30 a month. Logged an official complaint the day after my service was turned on. Worst internet I’ve had since I moved into my house 6 years ago. They claim they cannot guarantee a WiFi connection through any house, I live in a small 2 bedroom mid terrace not a mansion. Signal keeps dropping out on all my TVs and cannot connect at all on my phone unless I stand next to the router and according to Vodafone I just have to deal with it for the next 2 years, they did some work on my line and worked for a couple of weeks and now I’m outside the 2 weeks cancellation it’s stopped working again. Absolute nightmare, I’d give it 0 stars if I could, not fit for purpose.

After installation my home(voip) phone never worked luckily we hardly used it so it was unplugged. For 6 months my broadband worked perfectly although the wifi dropped out occasionally. After this my cameras and Smartplugs with certain phones stopped connecting! I had about 30 calls to the "help" desk and all they do is a factory reset on the router. They insisted they had checked the router and all was fine. I told them I had tested the router myself and the problem was the 2.4 ghz signal had ceased to operate. They refused to accept this and would not send an engineer out. After several months I gave up and bought a cheap £11 router off ebay I connected it to their faulty router and magically all my devices worked fine. My contract is just ending and I'm giving up on broadband I've just cancelled it and bought a 5G router which connects to the mast luckily I have a good signal. I've tested it for several days now and its brilliant 12 month contract for £10 a month unlimited data texts and phone. I'll not use the texts but may connect a phone to the 5g router. Even though I've had substandard service they are making me stay for a 30 day notice period even though my original contract will have ended. So one extra week to pay then the pain will be gone. Ps I gave 4 stars for the speed as the 5Ghz signal was ok.

They hiked the price by 18.9% 30 days after install, install took a week, home (voip) phone took nearly a year to start working correctly, wifi drops out continually. Router also has a physically loose wan port so broadband drops connection or cuts to half of what I am paying for. Had a bout a dozen interactions with the "help" desk all wanting your camera on, so basically an invasion of privacy and all they do is a factory reset on the router. After an engineer had visited and confirmed the router problem I have been dealing with the helpdesk for 2 weeks, who still refuse to believe the problem and want to reset the damn router again. I have just gave up, slower than my old telephone connection and router has worse features than my 5 yr old nowtv one. Add to that they wont give any details required for you to connect so cant even buy your own router to bypass this garbage.

I had copper broadband from Vodafone for a while and was never that impressed with it. Speeds were never brilliant, router dropped out every night and needed resetting once a week to reinstate full connectivity and the WiFi strength was poor. However the customer service I received at the (early) end of my contract was deplorable.
I ordered an upgrade from copper to fibre broadband from Vodafone but the pricing wasn't explained properly so on reviewing details I decided to cancel the upgrade. Vodafone did this, but didn't stop the planned end of the copper service. One of their team even spotted it, contacted me to check it was wrong, then assured me it wouldn't come to an end. Yet it still did, with no warning.
They refused to reinstate it saying they could only offer a new fibre contract, which would take weeks to install. They offered no mobile data assistance because I didn't have a phone contract to attach it to, and refused any compensation unless I took fibre out with them. I was still in contract which they ended early and have since tried to charge me an early termination charge also. It's been appauling treatment and my complaint with them is still ongoing, but they think it's resolved and are ignoring my escalation. Do not go near them.

Reading some reviews here I wonder if there are so many negative ones because people generally complain when something is bad, but if something is good they just accept it as normal. I moved from Virgin to Vodafone after new fibre cables were laid in my street. Virgin charged too much and prices were always going up without noticeable improvements. The Vodafone installation went smoothly and I basically got the speedy broadband that I had before, but cheaper. I'm working from home and know my broadband is good because if anyone in my team (all working from home) has speed problems, it's certainly not me. My 2 year contract ended recently, but I got the same good deal again for 2 years without quibbles. I have no complaints.

Great if you like buffering, you'll ge plenty of that.
Can't watch anything on any platform through a smart TV that is no further than 8 metres from the router.
Internet speed checks say the speed is fine so it's clearly the equipment. Bought a booster to try and help but even thar didn't improve matters.
Had a number of conversations with them and received empty promises.
Gathered all the evidence and they agreed to terminate the contract.

They are really good until it comes to moving homes been with them since 2019 decided to move in 2024. Booked the home move for 20th January, between then and 14 February the engineer, failed to attend, booked it again: the engineer showed up said he couldn’t fix the problem he needed a more “senior engineer” wrote on his report he couldn’t get access. Booked it a 3rd time slot was 8am/1pm engineer showed up at 3pm after I had already left to go to work. Absolutely useless.

I signed a contract and one day ahead of my broadband service going live with them I still hadn't received the promised router. I contacted them and was told my contract had been cancelled due to an issue with Openreach transferring my landline (that I don't use or want). To sign up again would be a two week wait. How bad does your customer service have to be for you not to contact the customer and update them!? Fortunately I was able to stop the cancellation with my current ISP and negotiate a longer term contract that was only marginally more. Vodafone you suck!

I upgraded to fibre on January 10th2024, the openreach engineer assured me it will be up and running by midnight that day. It never worked. I spent hours yes hours to the Vodafone call centre (which is in Egypt now) who passed me from department to department with every excuse you can imagine. After two weeks of false promises and lies I cancelled my contract. I cannot claim compensation due to me cancelling my contract, if I ran over my two week cooling off period I would have been charged £113.00. Terrible service, no one seems to care. My mobile phone contract ends in March and guess what, yep I’m moving that too. Avoid Vodafone broadband like the plague worst service ever.

Previous person at my property used Vodafone. They cancelled their service and I joined. It took over a month, 3 different contracts (that Vodafone repeatedly cancelled without warning), endless hours on the phone to people who had no record of the previous calls, until we eventually got our broadband live. Wish I'd never tried to stick with them in the first place. They reassured me it would be easier and quicker to stay with them. Over that terrible changeover period, where they kept cancelling our contracts, in which we had no internet and had to tether off our phones while working from home, we were promised compensation. That never came. Cue more phone calls to a hapless support team. Finally they said they would give a lesser amount of compensation than previously promised. It was to be taken off our future bills. 3 months later, we're still getting billed the same amount. And now we'll have to try a few more hours on the phone to their support team. It. Never. Ends.

Switched from Plusnet in August 2022 and had nothing but trouble. Speed is slower than previous systems which were not "full fibre", with frequent variations and drop outs. Have to reboot system frequently. "Customer Service" is abysmal with staff blaming customer for everything - say I should be using cables to connect to hub, which is only 8ft from my PC indirect line of sight!!!! Had problems getting voucher which was part of offer as staff apparently totally ignorant of terms of Sale of Goods Act and Consumer Rights Act. Will definitely be moveing when contract expires.

Kept having issues with our internet, kept dropping in and out. Called customer services start of December, they updated our router via some tweeks remotely. Still kept having issues. I work from home and couldn’t even participate in teams meetings. Called again and they said again they needed to do some updates and they hadn’t been done for so long. Dispite them claiming the week before when I called they had done some updates. Ended up signing up for fibre with them instead and the promise of a new router. Router never came. Outreach installed fibre. But Vodafone didn’t send an ethanet cable so had to dismantle our cameras so we could connect to the fibre. I have now cancelled. Terrible service. Do not use!!

Poor customer service. I have now been waiting two weeks for my broadband to be working at my new address. After engineers being sent out, confirming that I need a new router, I am still waiting om receiving this router. An engineer requested it to be sent to my address. However, he even told me he didn't trust vodafone to order it and he was correct. I then phoned up to confirm it had been sent, which it had not. I then requested the new router, and the router was sent to my old address. I am now currently on hold for 25 minutes asking for my issue to be solved. There's clearly no checking chain going on as I jabe had to explain my situation in full every time I speak to an agent. Very poor from vodafone. I have also been told I will recieve £5.88 for every day I have not been receiving Internet. So I will update shortly as to wether I receive that. Shocked at how bad vodafone have been.

I bought an internet dongle on a monthly pay as you go.
As they asked to sign a direct debit, I knew they will play this up and will try to overcharge me. On the day I received my device (29/10/23), I called and explained I need this line just for one month and no more. The advisor told me I need to wait to first direct debit goes throw so I can call and cancel. On the day of direct debit which was 14 days after I received my device (13/11/23), I called to ask for cancelation and they said the earliest they can cancel is 13/12/23 and they wanted to charge me extra 14 days. After nearly 2 hours on the line, I managed to spoke with a manager (Mr Mohammed). He went through my conversation on 29/10/23 and approved to my line to be disconnected on 29/11/23. Today again I received a bill to pay the whole month plus £5 extra which I don’t know why. Using their online chat and explained to the advisor, all I heard was “we are sorry but you need to pay”.
Do not use this company as they find million ways to take your money.

I can't even describe the Vodafone broadband it's awful you can use it only for 6 months and the bin it and look for a different provider as your speed from 70mbps drop to 1.7mbps and when you contact support your speed will go up to the right speed for a few minutes and the support team will say we test your speed and it's look alright then when you exit the chat your speed falls agan to 1mbps.

Agreed to switch my broadband to Vodafone through u switch.... From plusnet. This was a huge mistake.
The engineer came yesterday to connect the fibre line and was unable to complete the work as it needs a 2 man team. He said they would be with me within 2 days. This was a lie by the engineer (his name was Darko).
I chased this up with Vodafone and the truth is this account will only be reviewed for action after a week.
So, I have no broadband for at least a week with no firm date of when the work will be completed.
I have a Son needing to revise for his gcse's so this is a major inconvenience.
Speaking to customer services is a waste of time, sure they say sorry but are unable to actually take any action.
Do not use this provider.

I have Been with Vodafone home broadband for 18 months this is the 4 th time they have switched my broadband off saying due to missed payments which has never been the case this time I have had network down for 36 hours they said they sent an email on the 13 th of November which is not the case I have an email from voda dated 22/10 was last corrospondance with voda stating my bill of 45.04 was due on such a date I set up DD so I left it . Yesterday morning I. Called them with proof of payment they said it will be in in 2 hours . Then last night I called again they said could be later tonight then I called this morning and they said they are still trying to lift the bar !!! What a load of crap I am leaving Vodafone broadband they are a very poor provider with even worse customer support and I would like to ask why a corporation of that size needs to lie about emails send and time to get service up ?? Stay away from Vodafone broadband

Their customer service is appalling and even though they admit that there's an issue, they refuse to offer any solutions. All I got was 'we can't' 'we don't' 'we wont'. They're quite content to increase my subscription and take their fee every month, yet when I tell them I want to leave they threaten to charge me a cancellation fee as I'm still under contract. And don't get me started on the £80 gift card scam they use to entice customers in. It never came. Think long and hard before committing to these cowboys.

This is really a review of Cityfibre :
Astonishingly Incompetent, Poorly Managed and apparently Completely Unaccountable.
Vodafone do the best they can with a shoddy fibre network provider.
1. Arranged fibre broadband from Vodafone through the Cityfibre network. Cityfibre connected the fibre to the house but as there was no ‘signal’ to the telegraph pole they told us we might be without internet connection and ‘landline’ phone for 2 to 3 days (max). We thought that was acceptable but it turned out to be untrue.
2. We were without VoIP phone and internet for 14 days despite repeated requests through Vodafone and even an email (with a friend’s computer) to the CEO of Cityfibre. ie no access to banking, email, shopping and all the other things that we take for granted. I manage a volunteer, not for profit organisation and that proved impossible without internet.
3. Cityfibre won’t accept responsibility for any of this and as an unaccountable monopoly simply brush off any complaints and direct you back to the ISP. When I phoned the ‘Issue Resolution’ office at Cityfibre the person I spoke to was dismissive, unhelpful and pretty unpleasant.
From my experience, the overall impression I have of Cityfibre is a company that is dishonest, astonishingly incompetent, poorly managed and simply uncaring - as they are completely unaccountable to individual customers.

No where near the speed promised, so checking now daily. Customer service was non existent unhelpful. When they said they would transfer me to complaints and tell them the problem I was connected to another consultant who had no idea of my issue. Then to crown off when transferring me again to tech help they put me through to mobile and not braodband. Over two hours on the phone and got nowhere, internet is rubbish and as soon as \i can leave I will.

I was with BT and unfortunately transferred to Vodafone whom invested only had issue with. Connection issues are constant. The customer service team are rude and unhelpful. They haven’t even taken over the line correctly and now cause an issue with the line and leaving me to pay two bills. BT have this far been fantastic sporting a full refund and Vodafone are not accepting the issues they’ve caused. I just want our at this point but it’s a huge fee to leave but I wouldn’t have noticed their error to leave within the 14 day cooling period as my bill is monthly so I’m stuck. Avoid avoid avoid

Switched to their fibre earlier this year. Worst utilities decision we ever made. Can only get half the speed we thought we’d get and can only get it in the room with the router. It often drops in that room. Despite paying £30 a month they tell me they’re only guaranteeing that one room and we’ll need to switch to a more expensive package if we want more. Customer Service is appalling, they couldn’t care less and are very difficult to deal with. This is going to be a long two years as we cant wait to get out of this disgraceful ‘service’. Their hubs are useless and we kept being told to move it to the most bazzare position and basically told it was out fault their system didn't work. No apologies or compensation offered. Have now left after three months of total frustration and lack of broadband. Still had to pay an exhorbitant exit fee having had no service whatsoever. Now back with BT and everything works wonderfully. Should have stayed with BT in the first place. Avoid at all costs.

No compensation ever received on these 5 occasions. Can't leave them because we took out a 24 month contract, another big mistake. As per other reviews on here. The WiFi router is absolute junk! The signal constantly drops out. The router has to be rebooted at least once a day and sometimes multiple times in order to regain a signal. When it works, it’s great! The problem is, it fails to work more than it does!
Customer service is an endless loop of being fobbed off. This issue has been going on for two months now. First I’m told an update didn’t install correctly, then I’m rod it’s a cache issue, then they reset the router, then it’s more updates! The excuses go on and on. I have requested a replacement or an envy - they won’t provide either. The latest response is, everything is ok from their side, so as far as they are concerned, there is no problem - even though I can’t connect to the internet! I was also told to run an Ethernet cable and use that instead!
The company is a joke. I’d like to know why ofcom are not taking them to task, as they are in breach of contract by failing to provide the service being paid for - and seem incapable of resolving the issue.
To cap it all, they couldn’t provide me with a copy of their complaints procedures. Only to say they have raised a complaint on my behalf! Utter and complete nonsense.
I will not be using them again.

The broadband is fast when it works. Other than that I have nothing positive to add. They were initially scheduled to set up my broadband on Friday, between 13:00 and 18:00. However, the engineer contacted me and offered to do the installation today, considering Monday is a bank holiday. Later, I received a text notifying me that they rescheduled my appointment for the following Friday, over a week away.
It's logical that if they couldn't fulfill their commitment on Friday, they should prioritize the first available slot on the next working day. The decision to move my appointment a week later is perplexing. Despite calling them more than 20 times and explaining the situation, it seems they are not comprehending my concerns. They appear unwilling to take responsibility, failing to recognize the significance of internet connectivity for people working from home.
Regrettably, I've encountered similar issues with Vodafone in the Netherlands. It's frustrating to have trusted them again in the UK, only to face similar disappointment. I certainly wouldn't recommend their services, not even to my adversaries.

Absolutely shocking how often the connection to the internet drops out. The router is useless and arbitrarily decides to block certain streaming apps on the TV until you restart the router.
Connection issues are getting more and more frequent. Used to notice it once or twice a month, now it's multiple times a day. "UKs most reliable network"? Utter rubbish.
Customer service is an utter joke, if you do get through to someone they're just reading off a script (not blaming them, it's not their fault they're not given any ability to get anything done), they're basically an answering service.
Price has gone up by 20% of what we were originally paying. Fortunately we're out of contact now and moving to another provider. Won't be partaking of their services again.

Signed up for broadband and received a confirmation email and contract. 2 weeks later still hadn't received a router as promised or a confirmation of when the engineer was coming. spent 2 hours with customer service which was totally unhelpful and told me my order didn't exist. kept saying I was giving them the wrong postcode when it was the postcode they confirmed in their own email. phone is useless- goes to an automated message then hangs up.

Terrible company, poor customer service. I’ve had payment issues with them throughout the lifetime of my broadband. Since their communication with customers is so poor, I have no idea about what is going on with my account until I am disconnected and have to call them.
The final straw was when they permanently disconnected my service and sent me a text message 1 day before the disconnect saying ‘sorry to hear you are leaving us’ as if I had requested this. On calling them THREE TIMES and being told various things by different agents, on the third try I was told it was disconnected because they no longer offer the broadband tariff I was on a 23 month contract for, only fibre, which is not supported in my area. End of story, no reconnection, compensation, apology or anything. I was shocked and appalled that they would just leave a customer high and dry like that, not give enough warning for me to at least sort out alternative broadband and then being told various lies by their agents. Please do not fall in the same trap I did and avoid Vodafone at all costs. The broadband is sketchy and not that super fast anyway and you end up with price hikes every other month too. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Since broadband was installed 3 months ago we have had next to no service, it drops out all the time. I have made numerous calls to Vodafone they keep getting me to reset it and after 24 hours it will be fine. Speak to different people each time half of them say they can't find the notes regarding my previous calls. My daughter was here last Friday, she is more tech minded and told the guy we needed somebody to come and check the line, he said City Fibre would contact us within 3 working days, that didn't happen. I rang Vodafone again yesterday, lady told me she could fix it and some of my equip was on 2.4G and some on 5G. I've only got 2 things on it. She would resolve it remotely and within 24 hours all would be good. Came in tonight, no Internet and now also no landline.... Another call to Vodafone, had to reset it AGAIN has told me it will be working in 24hours. Not holding my breath. Wish I had read the reviews. Would definitely not recommend Vodafone for broadband. Absolutely useless customer service. I am going to try and cancel my contract although that doesn't look very hopeful, how are they able to get away with it.....

We had no issues with the actual internet service, our problem was customer services, they cut us off at the end of the 1st month, we called up and were told we hadn't paid our bill, we had set up a direct debit but Vodafone had messed it up, 3 days to re-connect, lots of apologies, assures us it won't happen again etc. End of month 2, internet goes off again, same problem, this time, reconnected in a day, apologised, etc, offered compensation.. end of month 3, cut us off again, I call up, usual apologies, I tell them I've had enough and intend to change provider, I work from home and need reliable internet. Call handler laughs at me and tells me I can't change supplier as I'm locked into an 18month contract.. I move to BT.. Vodafone pursue me for the balance of the contract, I object, explain my position. They sell the "debt" to various debt collection agencies, hounded for years, the last agency submit false paperwork and obtain a CCJ for non-payment by me and state Vodafone disconnected me for non payment.. the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, completely hopeless and take no ownership of their in-ability to provide a service they are paid for..

Customer services are truly terrible if you ever try and contact them.
If you need an engineer to visit then forget about the system. They don’t come when you ask, name their own day, don’t come on that day, don’t inform you and this you waste a day, and then bombard you will call centre calls days afterward to arrange another visit. And the cycle continues. I’m costing down the days left on my contract.

Been with Vodafone for a around 9 months now and it's just been shocking. Constant problems, connectivity randomly dropping, customer services refusing to do anythting about it becuase " their system shows everything is working" . . well sorry guys, i forgot that every app i have on laptop/phone/tv/tablet can ALL have the same problems at the same times and it's definitely not your crap service. I took a 24 months broadband contract with vodafone at £35 per month after 10 months suddenly it went upto £40 per month. I am not lying connection is not stable. Goes offline time to time. I checked on it's official website and the same broadband plan is offered at £32 per month. Asked customer service about this. They say cpi or whatever price increase. My question is if they can increase price during the contract period why can't we leave? I wanted to cancel my contract but they told me I have to pay £219.
I just want to warn people that don't fall for their low price. Don't be relax just because you have fixed term contract. They can raise price before your contract period expires. And if you want to cancel your contract there comes your hefty exit fee like mine.

The worst experience I've ever had with wifi.
It has been down for a month and every time we phone up to get it switched back on, they say they're going to do it and then it never happens.
The customer service is just a never ending void of unanswered complaints. Each time we call we are back at square one. To top it all off, we have been offered no refund for the month we've gone without WIFI.
My work takes place from home and requires the internet, so my career has taken a hit due to Vodafone's lack of coherent customer service. We are seconds away from switching to something else, and would have done so long ago if they didn't lead us on with false promises that our problem is going to be fixed soon.
Total lack of humanity from this company. Go with BT.

I signed up for Vodafone's 500MB fibre broadband deal. There was about a month's wait for the fibre-to-the-premises connection to be installed, but as soon as that was completed the connection was running and download speeds were up in the 480/490 MB region, and always well above the 250MB minimum performance guarantee.
Until the two week colling off period came to an end!
After two weeks, download speeds started to deteriorate and were at times as low as 50MB - one tenth of what I was paying to receive and one-fifth of the minimum guaranteed performance. Even using a LAN cable, rather than WiFi connection, made no difference.
Contact with Vodafone's so-called "customer service" team was an unpleasant experience. I was treated like and at one point inferred as being an idiot! They blamed the number of devices running from the router (TV, mobile deveices, PC, etc), whereas only a single device was in fact connected.
It was impossible to make any headway, and it appears I am left locked into the remaining 22 months of a contract where Vodafone is failing to deliver the service it is contracted to provide.

I contracted to take Vodafone's Fibre 500 product for two years. For the first two weeks after it was installed, everything was fine. Download speeds were up around 490MB/second. Very soon after, however, I noticed that speeds had plummeted and now it is rare for speeds to get above 90 - 95 MB/second - well below Vodafone's minimum guaranteed speed.
I contacted Vodafone and the customer service advisor could not have been more condescending and insulting. They said there was no problem with my connection and the slow speeds were due to having too many devices connected via Wifi, such as TV, iPads and PC. Only two devices were connected, so the customer service advisor was talking nonsense! Even an ethernet connction from my PC into the rouiter was unable to improve download speeds, which remained in the high 90s MB/second.
I can work with the speeds delivered, but that's not the point! I am paying for up to 500 MB/second with a minimum speed guarantee of half that, whilst receiving less than 100MB/second. Vodafone doesn't care thgat it is breaching its own service guarantees.
I am stuck with Vodafone for another 22 months, but I won't be renewing mu contract with them unless they sort out the issues with my connection. I know that the infrastructure can deliver 500MB/second, because it was doing that for the first two weeks after installation. Coincidentally, two weeks is the "cooling off period" during which the contract can be cancelled without penalty... Sharp practice on Vodafone's part?

I recently had a terrible experience with Vodafone Fibre 500 Broadband. My service was down for 11 days, and I was never given a clear ETA for when it would be back up. I was told to reset my router numerous times, I was sent a new router but this did not fix the problem. After the fifth day and many, many calls I was eventually told that there was an outage that affected 8 other customers in my area. I was told to be patient, however, this was extremely difficult for me and my family due to living in an area with little to no cellular and 3G signal.
I made a complaint in writing to Vodafone, hoping that the issue would be prioritised. I explained that my partner and I work from home using Microsoft Teams and my family use streaming services such as Netflix, Disney, Prime, SKY, and PlayStation as well as CCTV, which we could not use.
I received a call from Proactive Support and was told that he would investigate and update me as a matter of urgency. The following day I received a call from a Wifi Xpert stating that they had logged a ticket with City Fibre, but there was no timeframe as to when they would receive any information or update regarding this issue.
Another couple of days passed and I decided enough was enough and wanted to cancel the contract. I was told that I would need to pay an early termination fee of £166 and I would have to give them 30 days' notice, which I was not prepared to pay.
The following day I received a call from a Vodafone senior engineer and was told that City Fibre had found a fault in the cabinet. At last, my service had returned.
The following day I contacted customer services for compensation, which I had been promised (but never given the amount). I was told that I would be given £9.33 per day as automatic compensation which wouldn't even cover the money we have lost during this ordeal.
I was then called by the agent from my complaint and he advised that the agent had misinformed me and that I would receive an automatic compensation of £5.83 per day. I was disgusted by this, so he advised me he could give me an extra £10 credit on my account as a goodwill gesture for the incorrect information and the issues I had experienced. I was absolutely disgraced by this and his attitude in resolving my complaint so I expressed my feelings however he was not interested.
I advise anyone who is considering using Vodafone Fibre Broadband to think twice. Their customer service is appalling, and they are unreliable. There are many other providers out there who offer a much better service.
Here are some of the things that Vodafone could have done to improve my experience:
Provide me with a more accurate ETA for when my service would be back up.
Offer me a temporary solution while my service was down, such as a second line or a free upgrade to a higher-speed plan.
waive the early termination fee and the 30-day notice period.
offer me more compensation for the inconvenience I experienced.
I hope that Vodafone will take my feedback into account and improve its customer service and support in the future.

Internet is absolutely crap constantly dropping out sometimes it says it's on but the internet doesn't work.
I move to another room in the house and you'd have thought I'd have moved 5 doors down as the internet doesn't even work in my bathroom.
Please avoid this at all cost.
The price is cheap but the service is horrendous.
Pay more and go with someone like BT.
Unfortunately I'm stuck in a contract but as soon as it's up I'll never go back to them again I'll also be changing my mobile phone provider as well.

I decided to have my broadband and landline through you as I already had my mobile with Vodafone.
First problem, I was not at home when the engineers turned up which was the wrong day, first of all !!!! Then the day, they were supposed to have come it was cancelled. They gave a new date. Unfortunately I could not be there due to work commitments so my mother was there instead for the engineers. When they arrived, she asked if they can put the router box in the hallway next to the phone line. She was told that this was not possible and that it would need to go in the front room. She called me and said and told me what they said I then said try my bedroom where there is a phone port but apparently that was no good either. So it was set up in the front room where there was no phone line.
When I got home, I found out that unfortunately the pole across the way did not have fibre-optic so it was unable to connect to the Internet !! Why this was not checked first was beyond me ?? So I had to wait about six weeks for someone to come out and put fibre-optic into the pole across the way.
The engineers came into the house again, but I was at work, so I never spoke to them they only spoke to my mother.
Finally, everything was up and running, so I thought !!!! I don’t tend to use the landline and it was only due to the fact that the doctors had been trying to contact me and a friend on the landline. That I realised it wasn’t working. I spoke to someone on live chat who told me that I needed to use the telephone ports on the back of the hub router and plug it into the telephone. The problem with this, I don’t have a telephone line to plug it into as the nearest one is in the hallway which is nowhere near the router ? I don’t have one in the front room that is why I asked for the router to be put in the hallway.
So now I have a landline, I can’t use. Which is absolutely ridiculous because the engineers would’ve obviously noticed this when installing the router. The person on live chat was useless and just kept repeating the same thing to me, even though I kept saying the same thing back that I can’t do that.
To say, I am frustrated, would be a total understatement.
Also, when you send a complaint by email you expect a response. Vodafone have chosen to ignore.

I have been on the phone with Vodafone technical for the past few weeks more than a few hours everyday and they finally gave up and referred me to a customer service team. I spoke to Sandra today and she explained how the fault is with me and not them even though I explained to her the fact that my mobile hotspot works fine for all of my devices and that I need an engineer to come have a look or a new router which she refused to assist me with and asked to take my complaint with ombudsman. I wish I could give them negative stars.

Absolutely appalling customer service from a recognised brand!
We scheduled an upgrade around 4 weeks ago with the new line and broadband to go live to 10th May. The date comes around we install the router and all the lights show but the internet is not working. We log on to the chat who say that it will be activated at midnight, which is ridiculous as we were told the changeover would not cause us any disruption.
Midnight comes - still no internet. I speak to the chat service again who say we need to wait 24-48hrs (this is a common phrase that Vodafone seem to use….) but they say it should be working in a couple of hours.
Couple of hours gone and I decide to call them instead. I get passed around a couple of times before I get to someone who explains that there is an issue with the line and they are checking with the tech team. It turns out that upgrade was put in incorrectly.
I get put through to the tech support who say that a new upgrade needs to be put in place and an engineer will need to come out - so puts me through to another gentleman who has no idea what is going on and thinks that I just want a new upgrade with no context. I ask him to put me back through to previous team.
On this call I am told that a new upgrade was not needed to be raised and in fact all they need to do is send an email to a team who will activate it in … you guessed it… 24-48hrs. With no way to fast track.
I work from home and this is disrupting my work, and it ridiculous in 2023 that you need to wait that long to get a service that should already be activated put in place.
I hope that through reading this complaint Vodafone will offer a way for me to fast track this.
For anybody considering Vodafone Broadband… don’t

Broadband goes down every week! Very unreliable! Especially when it comes to working from home! Also, when we signed a contract, we were promised a tablet as a new customer. Never received it. Enquired four times, it was promised that it would be sent to us, but it was never received.
The worst broadband we have ever had!

Installation for the internet was a day late, they compensated us with "a free permanent internet boost" but we ended up with internet that can barely download a 10gb game in one night, and internet that shuts down for a day every 2 or so months.

I really don't recommend Vodafone broadband. The signal fall day to day. Call to customer service is the same than nothing. All weekend without signal and also we need to wait to thay call us to arrange a visit. Is a Shame, so mamy days without signal but the bill will be the same, it is not being reflected in the bill. Poor service, speed, signal and attention. I pretty recommend EE boadband as your option before than Vodafond.

Even with a cat 8 cable.
Speed running at14.6 upload 0,35
Was faster on the old analogue system.
Seem to go down ever two months.
And forgot compensation you will never receive it.
3 times it been don 1st time 1week snd a half second time we just be for Christmas and now.

I ordered fast fibre in December 2022 and was told it would go live on 26th January 2023. Well, here I am 3 months and 1 day after finally getting the fibre connected to my property and it still hasn't gone live. Spoke to them this morning and they said they are just setting it up at their end and it would be live within an hour. Just spoke to them again and they to give them another 48 hours!!! Really disappointed

I took out a 24 month contract in January to start in february. It was going well. Until April... They put the prices up, even though I am in a contract, my contract says in big wording 24 months payment of 'blah' after contract it'll be 'blah'. In the terms and conditions it states April is when they raise their prices... I thought well I'm in a contract so won't affect me... WRONG! It does! They put it up almost an extra £3.00 per month, (it's a percentage they use, £20pm it's extra £3, £30pm £5). And they'll put it up again next April! I phoned them and was put on hold by a person that could only just speak English, she put me on hold no end of times. I was getting extreamly frustrated ad I'd been on the phone 43 mins for her to keep putting me on hold. When she finally understood what was going on she kept saying the same thing 'national prices' like it was given to her in a script to read. Which made me even more angry. I then got put through to someone else, who again, could only just speak English and was saying the same thing. So by this point I've been on the phone for hour and 15 mins, I've had enough I want out, they've changed the contract, so can I. I told her I don't require their services and cancel the broadband, they told me I'd have to pay so much to get out the contract.. So in the long run, it wasn't worth coming out of contract. I will never use Vodafone ever again! I'm just going to have to add it to the list of do not use companies. They've backed me into a corner I can not get out of and they didn't make it clear when taking out the contract. I am absolutely livid! Please do not use this company!

I wish it was possible to give ratings below 1star. I have been with Vodafone for years. I have been let down by this company so many times it becomes hard to track. They registered me as a BUSINESS (I am NOT!) when I first went to the shop to buy a SIM and I only randomly found out a year later, when I was renewing the contract. I could have incurred into financial troubles for this and it took the company months to finally amend that.
Last year I got a fibre contract with them. Signed, got the router, got the appointment with the engineer who couldn't carry out the connection for health & safety reasons (scaffolding was in the way, although it would have surely been safer than the flimsy ladder he was carrying)... Had to wait months before I could call to book another engineer's appointment. Got a call back saying they were not covering my area anymore (out of the blue), despite their website stating otherwise. Ended up with a 5G contract and a mobile router. Speed should have been reliable, up to 100mb/s. Instead, it's been a constant up and down between 20, 8, 10, 30, 2 mb/s in the span of a few seconds. Connection jumps between 4G and 5G constantly and, on top of that, Secure Net was added to my plan, without being outlined (nor included) in the contract. I pointed out this breach of contract, after randomly logging into My Vodafone App and noticing I had Secure Net on, despite never asking for it. So, after many years as a customer, I had enough and demanded to have the contract cancelled, due to a clear lack of transparency, hidden, unsolicited costs and an appalling Customer Service experience. After being repeatedly lied to, by being told Secure Net was in my contract and I was given multiple notices of it and a back and forth of days, they admitted the extra was not cited in the contract but denied any wrongdoing or breach of contract and offered a refund of a whopping 10£, without even an apology for accusing me of being inattentive and, implicitly, of being a liar... I obviously refused, as it's about trust, customer care and HONESTY (all things they don't even know the definition of) and I do not want to be serviced by them anymore, after the treatment I received. They wouldn't budge and demanded I pay a fee to exit the contract THEY breached. So I am now in the process of escalating this with CISAS. If after reading my review you are still considering choosing Vodafone as your provider, keep reading the countless reviews that resonate with mine and stray away like your life depended on it! IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!! The plans are expensive, the line temperamental at best and utterly unreliable as a standard and their respect for customers inexistent. Look for better, cheaper, more honest companies to rely on and have a more enjoyable experience overall!

We signed up in late February, the installation was not great but the actual internet service was okay.
The main problem is that Vodafone have increased our price by 15%, a month after the service started. We can't leave without a penalty and they refuse to do anything about it. We feel completely ripped off.

Absolutely the worst broadband you can ever consider getting. Keeps dropping, speeds are inconsistent, so much so that even smart speakers give up and loose the connection. Forget streaming, if you can open a website over a supposed 200 MBps line, you are lucky. It is like throwing money down the drain.

I've never before felt compelled to write a positive review, but seeing all these negative reviews I thought I'd try to balance it out. Sure the customer service is difficult to reach (whose isn't), but the Web chat is not bad, and I have been able to get through to talk to a human when needed to. Installation was on time, had an issue with transferring the phone line over, but they did it on the next working day.
But the speed is awesome. I got an excellent deal 500mbit for <£30 a month. Its symmetric too, so you can upload videos etc super quick! So much better than openreach! Stable line so far (two weeks).

I am waiting 32 minutes in a line already, trying to get to customer service. Luckily this gives me plenty of time to write a review. Oh wait, I was randomly dropped anyway. Gotta que again.
My broadband is down. No clue why as it worked fine but seemingly broke overnight.
Tried getting help but online I get paired with a useless chatbot. Area checker states all is fine (so I guess my problem is my problem). And finally you can't get help from a real person because to Vodafone that is expensive.

Worst tech support in the world! they haven't got a clue!
Raised a case with 'support' about less than 1MB/s download speed in the evening only. Mornings and afternoons were totally fine, just dropped to unusable speed during peak hours.
Every time I called them quoting the ticket reference, I'd ask them to describe the issue I was experiencing... it would take them about 5 minutes (at least) to figure out what I was complaining about! and most of the time I'd have to tell them the problem again. I think they just write notes on their computer system which is a terrible way to manage tech support tickets - that coupled with poor grasp of English Grammar means that their notes are illegible so the next tech admin cant decipher what the previous guy wrote (and so on). It's really not the fault of the support staff - vodafone have given them this antiquated IT system and they have put draconian time wasting procedures in place. Vodafone are no doubt taking advantage of these cheap call centers in Egypt and provide them with minimal training,
Then they asked me to take screenshots from speedtest.net for morning, afternoon and evening and send them the results via email - so that they could escalate the case to 3rd line support. I did so, it takes them 24 hours to validate the screenshots and then they ended up rejecting it - because they want the screenshot to cover the whole desktop!.. then I submit again and they reject again. Then I submit again and they reject again for some other silly reason. Each submission/rejection process takes 24 hours (minimum). Total bunch of time wasters
2nd Line support may as well be an automated voice service. 'Have you tried rebooting the router? Have you tried an ethernet cable? Have you tried another device? in that case send screenshots!' That's all they've got.
Also 2nd line, cannot communicate verbally with 3rd line. They send each other emails. Turn around to respond to each email is 24 hours (min).. they just wasted days and days and days and did absolutely nothing. My cancellation has happened before the ticket even made it to third line. Last I heard was they rejected the screenshots again for a 5th time due to two chrome tabs being open in one of the screenshots
Cheap broadband, good when it works - if you have any issues tech support is a nightmare.
My two cents, they were quite happy to hear that I got so frustrated that I wanted to cancel. They pretty much rolled out the red carpet and gave me a months refund and said they'd fast track the termination to be in 48 hours. I guess every case they refer to OpenReach costs them money.. that's why they put so many barriers in the way. They're happier for you to leave and take the issue with you to your next supplier. It works out cheaper for them.
