Changed to Sky fibre a month ago. Internet went down 10 days ago and still not fixed. Customer service is poor to say the least. No updates provided on their sites and when I phone I get very little - one agent even started arguing back with me as apparently it's not Sky's fault it is BT open reach???? Erm I am Skys customer so it is their responsibility to keep me informed and provide a decent customer service when faults occur. Unable to work from home and no information on what has caused the problem or likely timeliness to get it fixed which is unacceptable in this day and age.

Contracted sky tv stream and sky broadband contact state the price is for 18 months clearly and by their correspondence by phone and email nothing that the price will change after 8 months to almost double I contacted them by twitter’s and by emails and by phone no one could explain to me that in my contract state that the price not for 18 months all my correspondence was waste of time waiting for my contract to finish as soon as finish I will definitely switch to other provider. As I can’t trust them and I wouldn’t recommend them to any one as contract they send is lie and waste of paper

We have been waiting over a month for our Sky Broadband connection to be enabled. We have had some Openreach engineers visit but there is zero management of the issue by Sky not any communication from them around the issue. We have to phone up daily for an update from a customer services advisor who knows nothing and cannot seemingly do anything to help. Going with them I would describe as a massive mistake. My advice would be to avoid like the plauge, may be well priced but not if you end up with a service that never works and with no desire on thir part to remedy that.

Enquired about sky stream, was advised to also get sky fibre as was on a 50mb broadband connection, was working from home for 3 years without issue as a IT technician. From day one had connectivity issues. I told them there was a connectivity issue. Their network team blamed my laptop and my wife’s work laptop, even though she could connect at work without any issues and told us they were causing the issues and to go back to the manufacturers.
Cancelled sky went over to another provider and funny enough everything works perfectly.
Sky treat customers as idiots. Guess what customers walk away

Was upgraging to full fibre, Openreach fitted the line and activated it. They also removed the copper wire whilst fitting new fibre, this was on the 26th of July. We never had internet access until 9th of August, the Openreach guy told us to phone sky and ask for the router to be sent out. We phoned repeatly only to be told that the router had been sent out, we found out that sky just tell you anything to get you off the phone. The customer service was and is diabolical

Intermittent WiFi since the pandemic. One of us works from home and has had to use her own data. Broadband checker always show “nothing wrong in the area” and we end up doing trouble shooting. Engineers have been booked countless times and then the WiFi miraculously comes back. Our hub was changed 2wks ago, since ours was WAY too old. Customer services was appalling and there’s no communication between departments. When I was finally put through to tech support, he determined we needed a new hub in less than a minute. The new hub stopped working yesterday and when doing the usual trouble shooting, I automatically ended up with a message saying an engineer has already been booked! When checking the status, it was the engineer from 2wks ago, who was still “in progress”!! I still had the email correspondence from back then and managed to make another complaint. Now waiting for a call back. I’m so fed up! Just a lot of “I’m sorry you’re having issues” and no constructive help! I have a brand new hub! Why am I still having the same issue?!?!

Would be zero stars if possible. Had sky fibre and sky stream installed end of May, under my wife’s name as told it would be cheaper as a new customer, cut cables to sky q to fit the sky fibre, had issues with fibre from the word go. Many phone calls to sky explaining what the problem was, as knew it was a network or router problem as worked in technical support for many years. Had sky q reinstated but had to wait for an engineer visit to sort the cables. Every time you phone you get passed round departments and speak to a different member of their staff and many have very little knowledge or experience. Tested two routers same problem so knew it was a network issue. Finally after 3 weeks they found it was an openreach network issue and would be another week or more to fix, could have been resolved weeks ago. Now going to another company. Sky customer service is appalling

As customer of ten years I can safely say that this company customer services are complete joke.
Company doesn't value loyal customers and hikes prices by huge amounts while making upgrade prices double compare to new customer prices.
Internet will randomly stop working for hours while sky claims there's no issues.
As for their promised speed my supposed 100mb/sec has been 40mb/sec at the best for the past year.
Very disillusioned about the company and currently looking to switch.

I am extremely disappointed with your internet service. We did not have any connection yesterday from 11.00 am until lunchtime today. When I spoke to one of your engineers last night, they arranged for an engineer to call at this address next Wednesday morning. Fortunately, the connection came back just over 24 hours later. This is the second occasion in 6 weeks that we have experienced a breakdown in our network. I am correct in thinking that I will be eligible for a reduced payment on my next bill? If not, then I am seriously considering a change of supplier.

Hands down the worst internet/broadband I’ve ever used in my life and have lived in multiple houses over my life, it is awful. Every single time I connect on my phone I never have a full 3 bars of internet it’s always 2 bars. Games are impossible to play on Xbox, even when no one else is home it’s pretty much non existent. You would get better internet in the back arse of Mumbai, or Ethiopia. Third world countries have better connection no joke, since when do we live in Syria ?

Set up a contract in October 23 for the Broadband £25
I cancelled the sky TV in April 2024 end of contract Sky put the Broadband up from £25-£43 the deal was not linked I contacted them they explained it was an error and would put the initial agreement back I confirmed this several times on the phone .I have now received emails to say I have entered into our 18 month contract for £38 from the date of the phone call today
I took that agree this all that happened on the phone call was that they apologised and reinstated the initial Broadband deal they are clearly all on some sort of commission and putting you into contract you didn’t agree to

What a poor service. Some of the customer service advisors need training they are very rude and they have no compassion. We have been having problems with broadband since we moved to fibre. Tried to escalate this with no joy. Asked to speak with a manager they did not allow me. I was told that we can’t waste our precious time repeating same thing. I advised one of the engineers that l have exam the following week and l rely on working from home to support my terminally ill partner. No action was taken l rang several times and they refused to put me through to a manager. I have an exam tomorrow and k have to find means to take the exam at someone’s property. This is so bad and l can’t believe Sky Customer Service could stoop so low.

So as some of you may know from my last review until recently I was an EE customer and then I left them after poor customer service. Little did I know how far further one could fall if they went to Sky.
So here is a fairly succinct timeline for you all to see how Sky treat thier customers
28th February I transfer to Sky and am promised three things in the contract
-Broadband Sky Stream and Netflix Standard with No Ads at £47
-That Sky would cover the api rise or it would only cost £1 or £2,
-That I could have six months apple tv for free with Sky.
After the call I noticed I hadn't been put on the Netflix standard no ads at £47 but rather the Netflix with ads at £43. I called up and they said okay we'll get it you for the price agreed don't worry about it.
So on Monday the 11th of March I got my puck and my router from Sky and go to fix my Netflix to the without ads tier but now all of a sudden it's not £4 more at £47 as the guy originally said now it's £6 more. Also they didn't offer Apple TV and hadn't since before Christmas so that was a lie also my inflation rise was now going to be £5. All three were lies or as they have called it misinformation. I wouldn't have agreed to the contract with those terms.
Anyway I spoke to a man on Monday about all this he said he would sort it out and that he thinks the reason I had been left on the 43 contract was because the guy knew he couldn't actually give it me for 47 and said he was annoyed there were no notes on my account either. He said the manager would review the cal the next day and then I'd hear back by Thursday. So nothing on Tuesday and then I call for an update on Wednesday the 13th March, I spoke to another chap who proceeded to say gaslighting phrases like I am sorry you feel that way and in your opinion sir and patronize me and threat me like a child.
The first man called back on Thursday the 14th and said that the manager had listened and agreed that on two of the points had been misinformation, they said that the manager had heard how I was not told about the inflation stuff and thought there was nothing wrong with that. So that says a lot. Anyway, he had clammed up since Monday and said what he said on Monday about the guy behaving incorrectly was 'conjecture'. I then Spoke to a third guy who said he could see some stuff had gone on and that he would get the manger to look over everything and call me on Friday the 15th March. I then had my first interaction with the customer priority team and spoke to a nice guy who asked me to lay out my terms for resolution I did, they were thus
-I wanted them to pay the extra on the Netflix, they agreed to that
-I wanted them to credit me the inflation rise to cover that promise, they never agreed to that
-I wanted another Sky service for 6 months to cover the apple tv, they really didn't like that
-I wanted compensation for all the above, they offered £20.
Anyway, on Friday 15th March I awaited a promised call it never happened, I called them and asked what had happened they offered very little explanation and said maybe the agent was busy. I had waited in between the 6-7 timeslot for them but nothing. I then spoke to another guy who didn't care about my complaint at all, said he couldn't help me and the proceeded to tell me off and imply things were my fault.
Then I spoke again with the customer priority team and spoke to a woman who said she was terribly sorry about all the things that had happened and that I would get 2 calls on Saturday the 16th March one from the managers and one from the priority team again one was scheduled for all day the other between 6-7. So I waited.
Saturday the 16th March. I never got a call from the managers just one from the priority team woman I had spoken to on the evening of the 15th she gaslit me and said it was never being considered by a manger and that they were never supposed to call me despite her saying the night before they would. She also said my terms of resolution which her colleague had said was reasonable were impossible and they would be generous to give me £20. She dared me to take them to court, or that seemed her implication,and repeatedly said no fraud/miss sell had been committed despite the fact I was promised things they couldn't deliver on, they closed ranks at that point. I then spoke to a guy who could offer me no further advance or resolution then they'd give me the money for Netflix (the 2 extra) and then £20 as a good will gesture however if I went to the Ombudsman or some third party they would take that away.
I have now had a deadlock letter from them and in the process of changing to a new provider (the third in a short space of time).
Sky don't care about you they will say misinformation to get you to buy a contract and then not take your seriously when you complain.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

01/03/2024 booked my broadband to be installed on the 14/03/2024, I have taken a day off work UNPAID to make sure I was some when the engineer turned up.
I have now received a text stating that the engineer could not start the install today, to which I have called sky strait away.
Cut the bull**** out, sky CS said that apparently when the engineer knocked on the door that there was no answer.
Baring in mind I have a dog in the house that barks when there is someone at the door, he can hear everything, even a needle dropping in the floor.
After arguing with CS they advised me that the next available appointment was 4/04/2024 which isn’t good enough, that is a month after when I first booked to be installed.
CS then come back to me and said that he has spoken to his supervisor and that I can have an AM slot on the 25/03/2024, to which is taking another day off work UNPAID
So not only am I in the house with no broadband for nearly a month, I am also 2 days off work unpaid..
Sums sky up to be honest.

Recently I stupidly tried to move my broadband and landline to Sky. I am a Sky VIP TV member for the last 20 years.
I have been promised a broadband booster to deal with the now terrible broadband, and 3 engineer visits. None have happened. Our landline has not worked once since moving over.
Since we moved to broadband, our mobile subs AND TV subs went up this week.
I am going to seek legal action.
When my friends heard I had moved to Sky, every one, without fail, told me it was a stupid idea, as they all had awful experiences, without fail.
STAY AWAY from this incompetent company.

If I could give ZERO star, I will. Customer service advisors are very rude. You will be extremely lucky to come across a polite one. They all need training.
Very impossible to escalate complaints to managers. It's like they are not even there as they are never available. Not surprised.
Promise of call back that never happens.
Absolutely disgusting company.
I doubt the staff gets continous trainings as they behave and speak with no emphaty, they don't listen, they don't ask the right questions and can't even resolve. They interrupt and peak to you very rudely while hiding behind the phone.
You will feel worse after speaking to them compared to before calling sky.
Customer service is shocking and absolutely rubbish.
All noisy at the background and you will hear them laughing so loud like baberians as well as playing and that makes it difficult to talk or focus on the reason for your call. They speak to you grumpily and sometimes you feel like they have food in their mouth while attending to you.
They are so ignorant that they do not realise that you can still tell they are rubbish even on the phone. They think been on the phone can carmoflag them.
Very rude people and you just wonder how you find yourself doing business with such a disgusting company.
Safe yourself some stress and take your money elsewhere. Your mental health is very important and not worth sky and it's quack customer service.

Worst service I’ve had ever. I was a sole trader and changed to a limited trader recently. I had a contract with Sky and called them to change the contract according to my new status, as the company as it was prior to the change would no longer exist. The CS staff member informed me that my contract would therefore have to be cancelled and an early termination fee charged to myself. I explained I did not wish to end the contract and wanted to stay with sky. He was
Having none of it and kept insisting I pay the fee. He was rude throughout and I believe even racist as he seemed to be talking down to myself. My husband then took over the call and the CS staff member spoke to him like dirt. He refused to talk at first and after I gave permission for him to speak on my behalf the CS agent instantly spoke down to my husband, not being interested in what he had to say. He even said he didn’t want to talk to my husband. My husband turned to me and stated the rude individual wouldn’t speak to him like that face to face. After which this individual then began ranting that he’d been threatened with violence. Unbelievable. Saying that a person wouldn’t speak to one face to face rudely is considered a ‘threat of violence.’ The CS agent then slammed the phone down. Disgusting behaviour and the worst treatment after years of being with sky, in my home and business. I’m now leaving sky and they can send as many threatening letters as they want. I simply wanted to inform them of the change of circumstances. I did not want to leave or end my contract. I feel the responses I received were Rude, arrogant, trying to humiliate and belittle me and even racist. He was literally talking down to me, like I was stupid or lower than him. I am registered disabled and tried explaining that I am partly deaf which is why I’m loud. My tone is loud due to my partial deafness. He didn’t seem to listen or care and continued to insult me by insisting I was shouting and belittle me and my husband constantly. Sky never ever again.
Customer service is below zero. I’ve been with sky since 2005 on and off but never ever face such a rude person. Am definitely leaving sky one way or other.

Awful, awful, from beginning to end. I tried twice to order broadband, and Sky set a date each time for the engineer visit and the delivery of a box. Nothing and no-one ever turned up, on either occasion. And now, five months on, I have still not been able to obtain my refund of up-front fees in spite of repeated phone calls. Utterly appalling service - I would give is zero stars if I could.

I have only been with sky for 4 months and it has been a very turbulent time for me, having become very unwell and having to move homes just a few months after initially installing sky and from start to finish they have been absolutely amazing I honestly wouldn’t have been able to cope had they not been so kind in assisting me.
Very good broadband never cuts out and the price can’t be beat overall my experience with sky has been phenomenal.

I moved from BT to Sky and my. broadband was reduced by Openreach to less that 50% of original speed.
Over the last four months the Sky team has work hard to get Openreach to rectify the problem. Eight Openreach engineers in four months before success.

Zero overall stars if we could. Our home broadband cuts out almost daily at certain times of day. We were sold a monthly bill of I think £33 per month...we NEVER received a bill that low...recent bill was over £56!!! Told on month ONE increases had already happened!
Rude call center staff who laugh at you down the phone.
So glad we're out of contract finally, what a horrible experience being with Sky Broadband was.
I really don't like leaving bad reviews...but I'm sorry to say this one is well deserved.

We moved to Sky Superfast (lol) Broadband around 12 months ago. At first all was good albeit someway below the levels promised - it's never felt especially fast. In recent months it's been deteriorating with more and more time spent on devices watching the screen buffering. I'm currently using my iphone about 2 feet away from the router and I can't get wi-fi despite Sky telling me everything is working as it should. It's now as bad or worse than it was with BT (copper line broadband) so I'm left wondering where to go next? Shan't be staying with Sky - shan't go back to BT - any recommendations?
PS - it's also notable that Sky do not reply to any negative reviews that people leave - they obviously see them but presumably can't be bothered or just don't care?

They weren't prepared to match the deals new customers could get on identical packages, via third party comparison sites, with Sky let alone match the lower costs of other providers with similar packages. Supposed to get Sky Broadband yesterday. Turns out through phoning today that 'the system' has bungled the order. (This despite an employee I spoke to yesterday falsely saying the hub was due to be delivered, which turns out never to have been the case.) Apparently now be SIX DAYS to just cancel the bungled order (!!), and then at least TWO-THREE WEEKS for a new order and installation to take place, which no guarantees that it won't take even longer. Completely regret making the decision to choose Sky Broadband. An utter shambles and will have an immeasurable effect on my employment (I work from home and rely on broadband) as well as on our personal lives.

I cancelled broadband 12 months ago and received pre packaged envelopes to send back equipment which I did. I have now just cancelled TV and Sky are saying I still have a booster I didn’t return and want to charge me for it. Very aggressive people on the phone suggesting I need to show proof of return from 12 months ago. I explained to them that when I cancelled it said to return within 30 days or I will be charged. I returned but if I am supposedly missing something why did they not charge me then?
Very unhappy, sounds like another scam from a big organisation just flexing their muscle to rip people off!

Don’t know where to start from.As joining them on the 6th of December and having a credit check in they’re Manchester City centre branch I got told that the Sky Glass package & broadband with phone line shall start working on the 10 or 12th of December 2023.I told them that I was going to leave abroad for work but my wife and kids will be home to take the delivery.On the day of delivery the sky glass Tv came and when it got put out the haulier being known as Panther, their driver said Oh theyres no stand & we can’t put it out so I suggest I’ll take the Tv back and leave a note for Sky & you’ll get it delivered in about 48hrs or something.My wife going along with it thinking that it would get delivered let them take the Tv and the 3 multi room pods too.About 4 days later I get an email saying that we cancelled the contract by sending the Sky Glass back.As having the contract in my name nobody could speak to them but me due Data Copy act etc. Anyways as Christmas was approaching there was no broadband or Sky Tv at home.So I called them from abroad and including the wait time the call cost me £90 as I was calling from my phone as Sky couldn’t call me abroad. Anyway I was told to take another contract out and would have another credit check done again.Let me add that whenever any company makes a credit check whether it being a soft check as they put it 20 points get deducted off your credit score.Now that being 40 taken off I get told that your good to go and everything shall be delivered on the 22.12.23.It was an all day delivery & when my family waited and waited and at around uk std time of 6pm my wife rang me up to find out as it hadn’t been delivered.I made a call again to find out that it had been cancelled because I was so called sent an email which I was to sign and I didn’t receive it so hence the contract had to be cancelled.I was so furious and now out of £90 in calls plus the earache of hearing the wife and the kids for spoiling they’re Christmas. Anyways I came back in January and had to get a 3rd credit check done on me and signed up a third time.The date for delivery which was given this time was the 10th of January 24,on the day of delivery they didn’t have the screws for the stand again.Which wanted me to bang my own head against the wall,how incompetent can a big company be??. Anyways I called Sky again to be told them of the situation,but this time I didn’t send the Tv back as I got told that someone would come again by them and Panther hauliers whom they use and will sort the screws out.Come the following evening I get told that someone will come tomorrow to collect the Tv again.I was outraged to get my head around how these people work and run such a big multinational company. Keeping my cool I replied back to that email and got sent a message that that’s a standard message and they will know on that notes what to do.When they tried sending the sky glass the second time I got told that the company who come to set it up being Panther have spare screws and bits and pieces to sort small issues out and I should have told them to sort it out before they leave.Anyways the following day two more guys turn up and again they don’t have the screws & were told that they’re here to pick the Tv up.I had to explain to them again & they left saying to speak to Sky again.In between I made several calls to Sky to get this sorted out.So on Friday which has passed being the 12th of January 2024 someone came again to say that he didn’t have the screws and that we should call Sky again.My wife told them my husband will be very annoyed and will end up throwing that Tv outside including the equipment and told him of the ordeal of what we have gone through to which he said let me check and see if I have spares in the van.Luckily he found some and fixed the stand and we finally got to watch some Tv after a month and a few days.In between when my wife rang up to tell me that he didn’t bring the screws again I called Sky and spoke to someone & asked him that i wanted to speak to a senior supervisor for all the headache which I took and should be compensated to which he sounded half stoned and offered me a measly £15?So is that what Sky values it’s Customers time and values them at?I’m absolutely vexed at myself for taking this contract out and then being messed about so much.I got a phone call this evening by the same guy who offered me the same £15. They can keep the £15 as being in business if your customer is not happy with the way they’ve been dealt with then it’s not really a good or healthy business relationship.And i don’t like to do business with people whom I feel that don’t respect me or my business.Looking at the negative reviews plastered here just shows that Sky doesn’t care about its customers and when I would tell them about my experience then saying u feel for me but doing the opposite to me doesn’t help.Hope that ppl will learn & avoid joining sky & not make my mistake.

The whole thing failed completely as soon as it was connected (and just after Sky had terminated my account with BT) and *the most* passive aggressive customer services rep told me it'd be 4 days before the engineer - who had been working on the cabinet that morning - would be out to fix it. She even acted surprised when I asked if I'd be charged for the time they had left me without broadband.
It's a double whammy of sh*t British customer service stalwarts. They've dressed up a cutback in engineers as "engineer-free set up" which leaves you high and dry if there's any complications, and the customer service scripts are riddled with apologies while the actual underlying attitude and service level is far closer to contempt.

I'm very unhappy about it and Sky keep fobbing me off.

Worst company to use, I paid for the Ultrafast broadband service for 1.5yrs, during the first year, the internet connection was horrible, kept on coming in and out, only had a fast connection at night. I mostly work during the day so this did not affect me, however, from the 24th of December 2023 until the new year, they had an outage in the area which they did not bother to fix and left me without internet connection for 1 week during the holiday period, when I asked how long it would take, I was told they don’t know. Horrible customer service, each representative had no clue how to solve the issue. Never use sky, waste of money, I was paying £38 a month for 150Mb/s, and before them I was using Virgin for £28 a month for 250Mb/s, I will never use this company again, waste of service and horrible customer service.

A 2nd guy came out today from open reach, I waited another 3 weeks for him to say a form needed filling out - HE COULD HAVE PHONED ME WEEKS AGO. This could be another month or so before anything happens. Making it 3 months to put internet in. Everything they need I have provided NEXT DAY - yet they wait weeks between doing each tiny job or each tiny bit of communication. Disgusted - regret signing up.

Sky cut our internet line off on Friday, despite promising us this wouldn't happen. They made us wait 5 days for an openreach engineer to attend our property just to tell us (as we already knew) that the issue was on your end.
We have been unable to work, watch any TV, control our heating and I have spent over 5 hours on the phone. Still no one has been able to figure out what is wrong with it.
Today they offered £36 compensation - to four adults who've had their lives heavily disrupted for a week and told me that was the final offer. I've spent more in travel (to access wifi) and topping up my phone with more data, let alone the house of my time and loss of earnings. Then times that by 4.
Absolutely shocking.

Absolutely horrendous. Stated I used £73 of internet in 9 days on my unlimited Wi-Fi.
They sorted that out and then rebilled me for 3months to make up for the credit they allegedly given me for their mistake.
When calling they just hang up or transfer. Nothing actually gets dealt with.
Currently hour 3 on the phone to them on my only day off.
I would not recommend using them.

Sky broadband has been absolutely terrible. I live in a small end terraced house which has no solid walls inside, just plasterboard walls so there is no excuse why I shouldn't get WiFi in all my rooms but for years I've struggled to get WiFi to work in all my rooms. The router could never reach my Ring doorbell even though it was literally on the other side of the wall! Over the years I've had engineers out, replacement routers, boosters sent out but I still couldn't get it to work properly. I had to resort to hard wiring my TV's to my router which looked ridiculous having wires running around my house when technology is supposed to be wireless. Even though it didn't ever work Sky still continued to charge me and they even charged me a cancellation fee so I could move to EE which now works perfectly! My advice to anyone thinking of getting Sky broadband is to stay well clear of Sky because it honestly doesn't work but they will still take your money!! Sign up to EE you will not be disappointed. I have strong WiFi in every room and my Ring doorbell finally works! Good ridence Sky!!!!

I cancelled 2 weeks before switch over, Sky confirmed the cancellation and didn't send the router so I thought all was ok. They switched me 2 weeks later with no hardware. Left me without internet and unable to work from home for 2 weeks. Customer service was appalling, at least an hour a session on the phone and at least 2 hours per session on chat. All came to nothing as no one appeared to understand what they were doing. Stay away. They are responsive when you're placing an order but couldn't care less when you need assistance or want to cancel. I wish I hd the option of zero stars!

After a call yesterday to sky, first being with an argumentative man named Andy, second to a lovely woman called Jenny, Sky agreed to release me from contract with zero charge. I've had more days with drop outs than days without. This is by no stretch of the imagination reliable. My previous ISP didn't have this many interruptions in the whole of 10 years I was with them. Moving House and current supplier cant supply new address. Decided to use sky for the first time. OMG. Terrible web site, terrible service. They cant cope with a different billing address and supply address. Also same with delivery of router. No option to send to current address.

I would not recommend getting sky broadband. I placed my order on 20th September, it’s now 16th October and I’ve just been told I won’t get it before 3rd November. That’s 6 weeks and that’s not guaranteed. They constantly blame delays on orders and blame Openreach don’t have engineers available in my area. But yet when I enquired with talk talk and BT they can book an engineer within 10-14 days which is acceptable!

Been with sky almost a decade and have got to the point feeling immense hate for the company.
Decided to take their deal in November 2022 of Superfast for 28 pounds per month for 18 months and 34 per month after and not even a year in I'm now paying 42 per month.
How that is possible or even legal is beyond me.
Customer service (like they have any) is awful.
Website just takes you round in circles.
You can DM them on Facebook apparently because that is so professional.
Good luck getting an engineer out.
As for the broadband itself. It's laughable.
One day I can download an Xbox game at 40mbs the next day 1mbs or sometimes less.
I have to reset the router almost daily.
So if you want zero rewards for loyalty, zero customer service and completely unreliable broadband and stress every damn day All while being over charged to almost double what you sign up for choose these idiots.

Left Sky Broadband well within cooling off period due to cheaper with NOW TV. Returned Sky equipment and got messages confirming no early termination charges due and receipt of equipment. Then received email saying they would debit £255 from my account within 10 days for early termination charges! My pregnant daughter shares the bill and it completely stressed us both out. Spent hours trying to get past help bot on Sky app but couldn’t get to a human. Had open WhatsApp conversation from last problem with them so contacted them through that. They say “Sorry it’s all a mistake”. Compensation? - “Here’s £11 off your next bill” For stressing out a pregnant woman! Seriously? £11 - unbelievable! They clearly don’t care. I hope they spend a sleepless night wondering how they’re going to pay an unexpected, bogus charge whilst listening to a stressed out, pregnant loved one crying! I certainly earned my £11 compensation that night.

Was told when we signed up by Sky that we should easily expect around 60-70mb which we did after 2 weeks it dropped to around 5-15mb average and has never improved they done something to the line also can't even watch YouTube vids or reels as stops and starts my 1998 dial up modem was faster than sky when I complain all they say is I need to invest in a kit of expensive boosters!. I used to work in the industry and it is my opinion that sky offer the best value to customer service ratio. However after coming from BT to Sky, I have to say the SKY wifi router is terrible, wasn't getting signal in some spots of the house and the router doesn't seem to have smart spliting for its channels. I rectified this by buying a tp link router with all the bells and whistles, using the sky router as modem only (turning off the WiFi) and using tp link for the better WiFi and now I'm happy again.

Tried to set up an account with Sky as we have just moved into a new flat. We can’t set up an account as the previous tenants already have a sky account connected to the property which wasn’t cancelled. These tenants haven’t been in the flat for months following renovations to the property. We can’t contact sky about it either as our mobile can’t be linked to an account because we can’t create one in the first place. So there is zero way to contact sky to get this sorted. Biggest mistake this year was moving to Sky. Ongoing issue but I was scheduled to get my new install on 28th August. Engineer arrived on time and then everything has gone downhill since. 8 days into my contact and I have been given my 4th new install date for 6th sept. Have been left without tv or broadband for over a week and still need to wait. I have been hung up on by staff. Promised callbacks that haven’t happened. I am well versed in everything Sky can’t do, unfortunately yet to see what they can do other than pass the blame to Outreach who according to one of their call handlers they don’t communicate with. I would NEVER recommend Sky to anyone, speed is never what you pay for, they charge for things you've never asked for and then 'restrict your account' for non payment. Everything is geared up to need to spend as much money as possible with them, ie needing 'the booster' - no, your router should be sufficent to not require a booster!

I rang to request their broadband costings and had asked for earliest date for booking to be held for myself.
I asked them not to go ahead with the purchase, advising the employee To call me the following day as I’d confirm if I would want sky to do the service or not.
He went through ts and cs on the first call.
He booked the service and sent out the equipment straight away.
He didn’t tell me that it would happen that way or I’d have declined to speak in the first place.
They then found me at fault claiming I’d agreed to get the service on the first call. Only covering their asses.
So unhelpful and critical of me when I was incorrect informed.
DON’T go to sky they are dishonest, disgusting

I have had Sky Broadband for over 2 years having had lot of other providers previously.
I can honestly say that I have had nothing whatsoever to complain about.
I have had one or two outages over the years that have lasted for a very short time. I was immediately compensated for this without having to ask or apply.
Speeds are excellent and reliability is second to none. I am more than happy to recommend Sky Fibre Broadband. I have just renewed my contract and Sky have kindly dropped my price by another 4 pounds. Very happy

Awful WiFi. Streaming TV shows is fairly decent with some buffer at the beginning and occasional drop out.
However, online gaming is basically a non starter. Lag beyond belief and a ping of 150 and over. My connection speed download is sitting around 30mbps which is acceptable, but 217 kbps upload speed (when promised at minimum 9mbps), is a complete joke.
So, on to sky customer services. A very friendly member of staff who couldn't help me in the slightest. Even going as far to say she games as well and doesn't even use Sky as its terrible. The best she could do was send me an ethernet cable which she admitted would only slightly help.
This is a con. Promising a certain service and not being able to deliver is an actual lie. Now I jave to pay a 90 quid cancellation fee to join an actual decent broadband company. Should never have left Plus Net.
AVOID SKY AT ALL COSTS PEOPLE.

I opted for Sky broadband because of the promised earliest activation date which was on 24th of July.
It didn't get activated even after making multiple calls to your customer care team. You verified that all the connections were done right and promised that I will be having internet within 24th Midnight. I waited for it to happen and yet nothing happened. I made calls again the next day stating the same issue, after a long hold like always I was told to do the same connection verification again and again and gives word that it will be connected soon. Yesterday evening I called again and now you are telling me that there is need to visiting of an engineer which will take 2 more days.
Extremely disappointed with the service I wanted to cancel the contract and your customer care representative did not even try to resolve the issue but agree to cancel it but only by next Friday 28th.
Later, I received the mail saying if I change my mind then I can cancel the cancelation and go ahead with the contract. Figuring out other ways to have some internet connection to my place till Friday I called your customer care again to activate the account and to ask them when it is possible tot send an engineer to get it sorted and they say that now I have to wait till the cancelation to finish and then activate it again after Friday then send an engineer after that. HOW PATHETIC!!

Our internet was recently updated so we would receive a new hub and all. Apparently our internet had to be turned off prior to this happening. We havent receive the hub and the internet has been down for 3 weeks now. For about 2 weeks the mobile data Tim the house wasn't working either so huge inconvenience considering I work from home.
For the 2 weeks I have had to pay extra money for my mobile data plan just to work.
NO HUB received yet. We were told the internet would be reinstated today. That hasn't happened yet.
We are long standing sky customers so I’m struggling to understand why it is okay to treat us like this. The only thing we have received is the Sky puck which is useless with no internet connection.
HONESLTY POOR POOR EXPERIENCE OVERALL. I’M IN DISBELIEF

We've been with sky for years, but since last October it's been gruelling.
We've had several days to a week without access. The WiFi from the router is exceedingly weak. we can only get it about 1/2 meters away from the router.
The speed has gone from 80mbs down to 40mbs, and I've had everything replaced from my house to the street box. Still they claim it's not their fault. I've given up, its a pain to change broadband but I've reached the point of it being the only thing I can do.
And they've charged us more for the privilege!
If you even consider going with sky, heed these words. They've got decent ratings on review sites (god knows how) but they're utter unmitigated rubbish.

Further to my last feedback, Sky are still unable to confirm when my hub / router will be delivered. My previous BT connection was switched off last Monday so I currently have no broadband, no phone connection and my mobile signal is practically nonexistent. I work from home with both mine and my partners businesses relying on an internet connection. At the moment I cannot work so Sky’s incompetence is costing us hundreds of pound in lost income.
If you of thinking of moving to Sky as your internet provider then please learn from my experience. I regret the day I made this decision and Sky do not give a damn.

Be wary of switching to Sky if you want a seamless transfer from your existing broadband provider. My existing broadband was switched off this morning but the Sky hub has still not been delivered yet. On speaking to Sky they tell me it will be another 3 days before the router will be delivered and there’s nothing more they can do. So if you rely on having uninterrupted broadband for work or personal use then you may need to consider other options than Sky.

I am disgusted by the service Sky provided throughout the house move. For the last 17 days I didn't have internet except for one day when Openreach engineer visited us. I work from home, and have missed so many deadlines, my son is missing uploading school homeworks. Numerous calls we made to Sky, they keep blaming Openreach, keep saying we don't need to stay home for the engineer's visit while engineer who visited said he certainly needed to come indoors. He also mentioned Sky tries to cut corners by not sending for engineers. I am disgusted, wish I could give zero stars to write this review. Now Sky says they need to wait for Openreach to get back to them for the next 4 days, then them to us....from experience we know it translates as--call and keep calling Sky. A service which takes money shamelessly without service.

Not only is the broadband inferior, it's very slow, constantly failing, on and off nearly every day, at any time, and drives me mad.
I moved to an area where the signal wasn't as good as my last address, less than half. I expected the price to drop, it didn't, I asked they said no. WHY???
I understand that it is not your fault I moved.
I don't understand why it hasn't dropped in price, because it isn't my fault you can't even supply the lack lustre broadband you provided before.
My internet is now around 26 - 32 mbps, making it slower than my mobile phone powered by 3 mobile Internet.
My package was renamed to the 35 mbps package, without my permission, I am paying for the 70 mbps package, this is what should be showing on my bill, nothing else.
The tv signal is also terrible. If I record anything, watch anything live it drifts in and out of signal, pixilated picture. Ruins my programme's.
They even increased my package price this month. An absolute liberty.
I have to put up with this until November. Then the ordeal will be over.

I have been with Sky for 12 years for broadband and tv, but have just changed providers. Loyalty means nothing. Failed to notify me my contract was coming to an end, then increased my bill significantly. Phoned to complain and told the best new price on a new contract would be £20 more than previously for the exact same package. Phoned BT who offered a far better price. Phoned back to cancel Sky and was informed I had not been offered the best deal. They also informed me BT would increase their price come April by 14% but the price Sky were quoting me would the same from April onwards. They offered a faster line speed. On arrival of a BT Engineer (who I had no idea was coming, Sky only notified me of their engineer appointment) I turned him away after him informing me he wanted to drill a two inch hole to anchor his ladder to run a new line in. I wasnt happy to do so as I have recently had the whole house rendered at a large cost. I phone Sky to cancel the line upgrade and remain on my existing speed. I was told it would be 48 hours before a new deal could be offered and theyd be back in touch. Low and behold, no one did. I contacted Sky again, to be offered a 'deal' on my current slower speed, at a greater cost to the faster speed. Also was informed my bill had infact increased in April and I had been incorrectly informed that it would. I was then told the £10 admin fee would be cancelled for the broadband as I no longer accepted the package. Low and behold, that was another lie and apparently it can not be removed. Back and fore for almost a month, with refusal to offer me a fair deal, especially with the deals on offer to new customers, I decided as I was within the cooling off period, to cancel the whole lot and go elsewhere.
Rarely experience issues with the broadband, but once out of contract they will pull your pants down and continuously lie to try and keep you as a customer

Terrible experience. Been trying to speak to a manager/have an issue resolved since November (it is now march)! So far no department seems able to help/to have a manager.
Used to be really good customer service/help available if needed.
The call centre bounces you from department to department (put on hold then through security questions every time). Either get told a manager will call back(which they don't) or there is no manager available and they will transfer me to a different department. Usually sales or cancellations- also with no managers.
Cancellations would be fine if I hadn't been told that if I cancel before speaking to someone they will not be able to access my account and therefore can not look into the extra money that has been (and is still being) taken monthly!
Speeds are good when it doesn't drop (which is pretty constant)
Currently been on hold this time for over half an hour.

The contract is for 18 months. 26£ per month for broadband with an option to increase the price by sky after 12 months by a maximum of 10% = 2.6£. After six months they increase the price by £4 to £30 per month.... I thought it was a mistake... sky explanation: global situation, other companies increase by more... Awful. We have a full-fibre connection but made the mistake of using sky for this. regular drop outs (caused by either back-end issues or the terrible sky router which crashes regularly). Sky could not solve the issue and indeed denied that they happened. We swapped to Bt on EXACTLY teh same line and it's now totally stable without any issues. BT customer service is also a LOT better having UK-based staff in Newcastle that you can actually talk to.

Made phone call to sky today on behalf of my friend as his contact was nearing its end, during the call the account holder stated that the bill was going to be high as he is on UC (increases) just at this my friend said I may have to go elsewhere in a very polite manner) the reply was simple " you have to return the box,leads and remote" WOW you would realy think they would want to keep long term existing customers and who have never failed once on their bills, for this I would never reccomend any 1 going to join sky.

And they aren't signed up to the ombudsman so good luck challenging them. I'd have to buy my way out and probably pay all sorts of fees to change anything. Basically add 20% to the price of any deal when choosing them as they can and will up the price.

They have been out to upgrade the router and it made no different. Complete pile of sh#t. Never get the average speed they promise and then they have the cheek to up there prices. Ducking jog on sky. I wouldn't even recommend them or wish them on my worst enemy. AVOID AT ALL COST

We've been at our new home for just 1 month, but my family all have used Sky since I was a kid and they always go back to them. So far at our house the broadband is more reliable, faster even though it is not fibre, than our last supplier which was fibre (to cabinet)! We get 150MBs as opposed to the 50MBs we had previously with Vdfn. Our engineer (Bakary) was fast and helpful with my questions. I have no complaints about Sky, which feels like a first for me as we have had a lot of trouble with companies we use this last year. Will stick with them as long as they do not hike price.

Sky ru a lyaltiy program whih cthey like to tell you makes you a valued customer, well as a loyal customer of more than 20 years they made little to no effort to resolve issues with our highly unreliable fibre broadband - download speed of 49mbps upload 0.11mbps - how is anyone supposed to operate a modern home using this speed of upload? Sky were disinterested, and almost rude, their advisor telling me to make sure i returned their equipment or i would be charged - well they are welcome to it as it doesn't work ! AVOID if you can

I've been with Sky for ~8 years. Unlike many people here my connection has been always very reliable and as fast as the cable/attenuation/physics permitted.
However, one which always bothered me big time with them is that after 18 months they would always try to move you to the "no-discount" rate which nobody anywhere charges as it's ~30% more expensive. Even as a "veteran/platinum" customer I'm treated like an fresh imbecile while new customers are get cheaper deals they my current contract.
I've always been able to negotiate "discounts" to keep my bills pretty much identical year-on-years. But this year is the first time Sky isn't will to negotiate. Which means 30% increase. Which means Bye Bye!!!

Worst Internet experience I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am supposed to have super fast broadband for streaming ect. It doesn't work to the standard that sky advertises. I am coming to the end of my contract in march, I have agreed to a new contract and a upgraded my broadband with sky. However after my experience especially over the past few weeks I will be cancelling that contract and switching to plusnet who have offered me better wifi for a much cheaper deal. No matter how much loyalty I have shown sky for the past 4 years I still get provided with the same old poor service.

utter w*nk. their """engineers""" will prey on the vulnerable and technologically inept people who are forced to trust them and their """expert""" opinions on the product they're just there to sell for a quota in the first place. Convinced my mother to unsub from BT by telling her "this is in the air, BT is in the ground, Sky is better because it's in the air not the ground" and because she has the brain of an orangutan under sedation on a good day, she believed him and got rid of our perfectly functioning BT service.
When I questioned the validty of his claim she basically told me to f*ck off and trust him because he is an """engineer""" and "knows what he is on about". The fact these people are allowed to call themselves engineers in their job title is honestly an insult to any form of actual form of engineerin discipline.
in short, do not get your internet with these freaks. They are part of a dying dynasty of outdated ISP's that offer nothing to their users other than pinching every penny they can off them for a service 1000x inferior to their competitors. Even EE is better than Sky, and they are trash. Atleast their """engineers""" don't lie through their teeth to get a sale in and atleast their Routers aren't using 40 odd year old technology and trying to act like it's brand new.
the real cherry on top of this is, other ISP's actually have help line's to call when things go wrong, Sky offers you nothing other than a shite phonebot that guides you through basic diagnostics and when that doesn't help you (inevitably) it basically tells you to go fuck yourself.
fuck you Sky, Fuck You Rupert Murdoch. I cannot wait for your wrinkly taint to curl up and die. I hope all of your employees suffer a fate worse than the Holocaust. And god help them if I ever see one in public again.

Horrendous support. Sky makes is almost impossible to reach them for problems as they have this annoying bot that takes you in loops- both when calling and online. The promises made on their speed are a blatant lie and then despite guarantee to not charge if a certain speed hapoen - full price is charged!

Writing this after my hub has broken again thats 2 in 4 months when it works broadband isn't that bad get reasonable speeds. Unfortunately broken twice and need engineer visit both times. Moved house 4 months ago and because my wife is now studying online decided to get fibre Unfortunately sky was not a good option and we have had to get a hot spot account just so my wife can still do her lessons. I wouldn't recommend sky to anyone and im now wishing I had read all the reviews on this site

Oh dear. 22 years with Sky. Diamond VIP: none of it means a thing. I have wasted over 3 hours on the phone trying to resolve an issue started with one of their advisors putting me into an unsuitable contract. I’m afraid our relationship is over and I am now referring the matter to small claims court. I am not sure why they now have such an unreliable customer service team. The representatives all appear very helpful but promises of return calls fail to materialise and undertakings to offer a resolution are not honoured. I would urge anyone with similar issues to take legal action to at least air the matter.
