Reasonable if everything is working okay however absolutely useless if you have any issues and have to contact customer services. I tried over many days to contact them and waited for hours on the phone without success. For the sake of your sanity do not sign up for any BT services, it’s not worth it at any price!

Terrible terrible ???? company
We didn't have internet service for about 3 weeks, we were calling BT and no reply. When we transferred to Sky, BT showed up and forced us to pay high amount of pounds for no reason.
BT is very unfair, very bad company.
I wish such companies should not exist.

Even though the internet connection has been solid and online all the time, we have found that we have outgrown our speed we had subscribed up to (150Mbps). The issue lies on trying to upgrade, the cost of the internet that we pay for at the moment is extortionate and has been increasing over time. We want a higher speed for what we pay as for what we pay would be the highest speed possible else where.

0/5 - Worst Service Experience with BT Internet
Avoid BT Internet at all costs! I've had the misfortune of experiencing:
Frequent Disconnections: Constant drops in connectivity, requiring router restarts.
Slow Speeds: Never exceeded 500 Mbps, despite paying for 900 Mbps package.
Unreliable Speed Testing: BT claims only their app shows accurate speeds, dismissing third-party speed tests.
Harsh Payment Policies: Immediate disconnections for missed payments, followed by 24-hour reactivation delays.
Lack of Transparency: No service status updates or reminders for payment due dates.
Coming from Virgin Media, I'm shocked by BT's subpar service.
Virgin Media:
- Sent reminders for overdue bills
- Provided transparent speed information
- Notified me of planned disconnections
- Didn't disconnect services immediately
BT's logic is baffling:
- Charging late fees, then disconnecting services anyway
- Claiming their platform is designed to evade third-party speed tests.
Now, my services are disconnected, and the irony is that I'm unable to open the BT app to pay my bill! The app is not working, what a shame.
How am I supposed to pay my bill when your app doesn't function? This is ridiculous.
Warning: Don't make the same mistake. Consider alternative providers or use your mobile hotspot for internet at home.
Advice:
- Research thoroughly before choosing BT
- Check speed tests from multiple sources
- Be cautious of hidden fees and disconnection policies
I hope BT takes customer feedback seriously and improves their services (May be in dreams).

I pay more than the original base rate for the upper level deal which has very fast download rates but it constantly drops out. I have spent many hours in call time trying to put this right. All I get is excuses, basically blaming me for the problem. I have replaced ethernet cables with CAT8 gold plated ones, moved my router away from the window all at the suggestion of BT and all to no avail. They test the speed and see that it is as advertised. That is not the problem. Intermittent drop outs cause me to lose connection to the on-line game that I play rendering the service useless to me. Unfortunately I have 15 months or more to go on my contract. I don't have a television and only make approximately 2 landline calls per month. All I need from BT is a continuous connection to the internet. It doesn't really need to be super fast. I advise anyone thinking of changing to BT to try somewhere else. It is not very good. The people on the end of the line at servicing are very nice, polite etc. but ultimately did not help me at all except to suggest I try the super conductivity system at £12 per month more than the super deal I have now. No thanks. DO NOT USE BT

Last Thursday when talking to BT we agreed to add on to my contract in the form of a full house WiFi. They sent me a contract stating Broadband Package for: 24 months. You've got Complete Wi-Fi. We'll send additional Complete Wi-Fi discs to guarantee a reliable Wi-Fi connection in every room of your home. We'll send you up-to three discs to ensure this.
Today they said I had at least two different contracts created (it was not me creating them!) and they could not find my order!
Each time I spoke to them each person was stating something different and there was NO SOLUTION provided.
Some of their customer representatives were really rude and patronising. I spent at least three hours of my time trying to sort it out. They mislead me completely and I am not getting the service I was promised in the email with a valid 24 month contract with a promotional price and discount.
If I could I would just cancel their services. They are unreliable, misleading and in times patronising...

Don't waste your time, money or energy. Make promises that they can't deliver and get passed from department to department to try and sort out issues which are subsequently never resolved. A communications company which can't communicate - complete disgrace.

Absolutely horrendous service from BT, If I could give 0 I would. After moving house we have been left with no internet connection for 2 weeks, BT say they’re unable to cancel our contract or provide us with the internet we’re paying for because there’s a transfer request on our account. We’ve spoken to numerous customer support staff on the phone for hours on end who have all been completely useless, particularly Raymond who was rude and obnoxious. Rebecca then arranged for a mini hub to be sent out to us which was deactivated after 2 days so we’re back to square one with no updates from BT whatsoever. A new mini hub was supposed to be delivered yesterday to tide us over until the issue can be resolved but it didn’t arrive.
We have used all our mobile data and as I run my own business which relies on an internet connection I am finding the situation unnecessarily stressful but BT are not interested and just reel off a scripted insincere apology when you try to explain the inconvenience this is causing.
I would not recommend BT to anyone, they are a disgrace of a company…AVOID at all costs.

I am sick to the back teeth of reporting service drops. I am almost blacklisted with BT.
The infrastructure installed locally can only provide a maximum of (up to) 21mbps download, and (up to) 1mbps upload.
If you play Xbox, this is not enough to play any game online smoothly, let alone competitively.
The industry minimum standards suggests 1mbps for up, as an absolute minimum! I typically receive 0.8mbps (when things work).
As bad as these speeds are, I still experience periodic service dropouts.
The price for this unreliable and almost unusable service is very high! 'Not worth it' is a gross understatement.
If you are enjoying their fibre speeds at (up to) 800mbps, then you will not understand the stress and disadvantages resulting from the attricious service we endure here.
No need to send 'another' engineer to try shirk the responsibility.
The problem is the old-world infrastructure!
BT can't even deliver the minimum service with any stability/reliability.
Unfortunately, neither can any other provider (no alternatives available - a monopoly).
I have been waiting on FTTP to be rolled out, but this region is, apparently, not even on the list.
Something MUST be done!
They're literally taking premium fees but delivering nothing but stress and frustration.
So many problems are a direct result of this terrible service.
Left out in the rain.

We've been with BT for over 2 years now as we wanted the BT Sport which was wmuch cheaper if you had their broadband. But unfortunately the broadband service has been dreadful. We regularly have times where the speed is well below our stay fast guarantee. BT have sent out several engineers over the time of the contract to fix it but the issues seem to return. I have just spoken to BT about leaving them (mid contract) and despite the issues we have had they wont let us leave the contract without paying exit fees as we need to have had 30 consecutive days of speed below our stay fast to leave. Classic case of a company using their small print to tie customers into contracts for poorly performing services.

OVERCHARGED AND THE TECH TEAM CUT THE CALL OFF ON ME AFTER I ASKED TO CANCEL MY BROADBAND
I TOLD THEM ITS CAUSED ME A LOT OF STRESS AND I JUST WANT TO GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT BECAUSE OF A FAULT OF THEIR OWN - sent the wrong engineer and charged me £70 after selling me EE services and told me it will work. The worst customer service I have been complaining about my broadband issues that haven’t been working for the past 7 months after being passed from post to pillar and being on hold for a whole hour the last person I spoke to in tech got angry that I wanted to leave and cut the call.

Terrible contradictory advice provided by customer service. each time you call they give you contradictory advice.
Then they charge more for existing customers and don't recognise loyalty.
They offer cheaper deals to new customers than existing customers who have to pay lot more.
Totally unhelpful and not listening to my requirements and try to put me on expensive packages and then add extras putting the bill up when I have clearly told them I want to reduce my monthly bill. Then they also try and lcok you in 24 months contract.
I would strongly recommend to shop around especially existing BT customers.

If I could give zero star I would. I was fraudulently signed upto a 24 month contract. I was on a previous contract which ended and I continued on a rolling contract. When I moved houses, I insisted I wanted my service to remain the same. Just to find out 1 year later when I am moving house again I was placed on a contract and cannot terminate without paying a huge termination fee. Be careful who you speak to on the phone there are scammers everywhere and people answering calls without any idea of what their job entails

jokers! I'm out of contract with them and they are charging me now £57.99 for the broadband only. Logged in online to explore my upgrade options, which is the same as what I pay now for a 500 MB broadband or an upgrade to 900 MB for a few £ extra a month. While the new customers can get a 500 MB contract for £ 34,99 No joy from customer service either, apparently they don't have any other deals for the existing customers.

Been with BT since 2018 in 2 different addresses. Never had issues with connectivity, broadband has always been fast. Only problem I had with them is their price increase. Title: Terrible Experience with BT Business Broadband
Rating: 1/5
I recently switched to BT Business Broadband and it has been an absolute nightmare from day one. The broadband speeds are abysmal, constantly dropping and unreliable. It's like playing Russian roulette every time I need to use the internet for work.
But what's even worse than the poor service is the customer support—or lack thereof. Every time I've tried to reach out for help, I've been met with indifference and excuses. Their standard response seems to be, "Sorry, we don't guarantee speeds." Well, if you can't guarantee a basic level of service, then what exactly are we paying for?
Save yourself the headache and avoid BT Business Broadband at all costs. I've since switched to Virgin Business Broadband and the difference is night and day. Their service is reliable, their speeds are consistent, and their customer support actually cares about resolving issues. Trust me, don't make the mistake I did—stick with Virgin Business Broadband, it's hands down amazing.

Please if you see this don't choose BT. Out of 1gbps firber speed i barely get 200mbps speed and that's not real. A game that works perfectly fine on my 4g phone hotspot doesn't work on their fiber.
It constantly disconnects and has massive lag spikes.
It's easier and cheaper to have a cheap phone make a constant hotspot in your house than using BT.
Their internet is so bad it's actually worse than the 50mbps internet from sky i used to have 6 years ago.
Not even tiktok loads on this garbage.

Shocking. Moved from Sky to BT as I received a 10% discount on all services (phones, tablets etc) by being an EE customer.
Been with BT for 1month. Logged 3 faults on the broadband line, they state the checks confirm there are no issues.
I work from home and am unable to connect to the WiFi which makes doing my job all the more difficult. Trying to speak with someone is a joke.
Never had a connection issue with Sky.

I UPGRADED to fiber due to ongoing connection issues. After the upgrade the BB went down for a week before an engineer was able to attend and sort the faulty workmanship carried out by a contractor. My 8 person HMO Broadband Connection was down throughout. I have to compensate my resident for usage they had to purchase from there providers. This cost me £120. I was compensated by BT to the sum of £18.66 after a 30min wait and online conversation. What a joke!!

Now my credit score is damaged and its not my fault. They kept closing my complaint down without my permission. No way to feedback so hence my feedback now on social media.

Worst customer service i've experienced in a long time. Even since we left them they keep messing things up, requiring we send out kit back and sending the return back to the wrong address. Much more expensive than the competition too, especially once your initial contract ends.

Absolutely horrible company, decided to cancel after a year because they could not meet the speeds in which other companies in the area could, demanded an enormous cancellation fee, it in no way reflected in the previous payments over the course of the year. I wouldn’t return to this company even if they paid me. Absolute scumbags!

Took the halo package out in October 2023, 900mps Internet and 12 months xbox game pass free for 50 quid a month. All grand the first month. Second month I was charged £10 for xbox game pass. After a number of phone calls and a good amount of time on hold, got an apology and £10 refunded back onto my account. Next month was happy to see there was no additional charge, but then went to switch on the xbox and it wouldn't work. Rang up multiple times again and they said they had accidentally cancelled my xbox gamepass. Was told the handiest way for them to fix the problem was to basically cancel my full bt package and sign me up for a new contact starting today for the same package at the same price, which I was happy enough as I was only a few months into the contract. Was told I would get my email to activate the game pass within 10 mins later. 24 hours later still no email so again back on the phone. They now tell me, as my account previously had a gamepass code I can't get another. I told them it was BT that cancelled the game pass not me, and they have never gave me my 12 months free as promised. They have escalated my problem after I told them just to cancel the full package and stated someone will be in touch within 5 working days. At this stage I don't care and am just fed up of being passed from pillar to post. Not good enough, don't advertise gamepass for free if you can't give it. The broadband worked fine tbh just customer service and not delivering on what was promised is the let down.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE
My business has used Plusnet for its internet service for the last four years without any issues. Plusnet is closing and they recommend BT, they even transferred our phone call directly to BT. That’s when this nightmare began. We were booked an installation for eight days from our initial call. On the day of instillation a friendly service engineer arrived and began asking where the router was, the new router. I explained that we had only received one box and that contained the phone. He then said he’d “give it a go” without the router and disconnected all existing, working perfectly well, internet capability and said “ looks like it working, give it time to set up”, and he left. The following day nothing worked, no computer connections, scanners, phones, nothing! This is the really important part.. The router was delivered the day after the engineer showed up. Then BT told me that the installation company refused to fix the problem and BT would send someone on Monday. I own an Ultrasound Clinic and I had over thirty clients booked before Monday, this was Friday. BT said there was nothing more they would do. I am writing this from inside the Clinic, I’m sitting here on my day off because BT says the router should arrive sometime today and I should wait. They also said they won’t install it today, Monday, as promised they said sometime tomorrow. What an absolute mess. Stay away from the incompetent company.

Aside from the terrible customer service and our internet constantly dropping, BT stole £294 from our bank account via direct debit.
They admitted they were at fault over a month ago but still haven’t refunded the amount. We tried to claim it back through our bank first, but BT stopped this from their end. One member of staff then said they’d paid the amount via BACS, but contradicted himself in the same phonecall, saying this was impossible as we had cancelled our direct debit. They then sent a cheque which bounced, promised another cheque which hasn’t arrived, and have now emailed claiming they paid via BACS again.
The attitude of the staff in the call centre is disgraceful, we have been blamed for their error and it is like talking to a brick wall most of the time. Just when we think we have got somewhere with this, we go back to square one and we still don’t have our money back. At this point, they are thieves who have stolen from a small business.

A rip off and beyond incompetent!
We have been overpaying for sub-standard internet for years (over £60 for less than 30MB which often crashed entirely).
After having so many technician visits they have failed to fix it. Every time it goes down I get stuck on the phone for literally hours (shortest call 45min) with BT where I have to explain things over and over again, then get another useless technician booked in who often leaves us in a worse state than after the visit, so I spend more hours getting it fixed.

I would really very strongly recommend avoiding BT. Their customer service is non-existent. They massively overcharge - it is not only that the prices have become unbelievably high, they also sent erroneous bills, admitted they were erroneous, but then they would just not correct.... When the broadband stopped working properly, in all but one case it took a very long time and many hours over the phone to have it fixed. No possibility to escalate anything to managers, complaints process non-existent. Some of their agents are as rude as can get. Just spare yourselves the misery. I am so relived to have finally left.

Worst customer experience ever! Upgrading to 900Mb and taking out TV package, 3 days to process the order, then the order is so messed up that BT can't fix it and need help from EE. EE say best thing to do is cancel the order and start again and as once again BT cannot transfer a call to the EE person they promise to get the EE person to call be straight away. Obviously this does not happen, no call. Prior to this the people on social media also assured me when putting me through the next person would have all my details of what was wrong, once again they did not. The whole BT and EE coming together is a joke, people not trained, systems not working, websites saying different things, details on the BT app useless. I strongly advise against moving to BT or EE if you are a new customer, I would give it 6 to 12 months to sort this mess out. ANyone know the email address of BT and EE CEOs?

If they weren't this big they could easily be labelled as scammers. I've been with BT since they were under the EE name and when my contract ended, they didn't bother to tell me and put the prices up. I paid extra like an idiot for over a year because I don't check my contracts. Once I've renewed it it went down to a decent amount and now it's getting ridiculously pricey. I'm paying nearly another half bill compared to the initial cost and other suppliers aredoing cheaper deals for better speeds. Also, if you fail to pay on time, they will add extra yo the bill. Never encountered this before in a reputable business, just the odd loansharks. I do not recommend at all just for the scammer like behaviour of the company

Simply appalling. We were persuaded by a BT rep to leave our last provider and switch to a complete BT package of Broadband Halo and BT mobile.
The worst decision I have ever made.
Our Internet has been off for 3 weeks now with no indication as to when it will be repaired. There seems to be no communication between BT and Open Reach despite being part if the same company. Their complaints department NEVER returns your calls and the irony if it all is we are on their top package for customer service. Becausecwe are a Halo customer we have no landline as it is broadband based and BT mobile is very poor reception from the house. A nightmare from beginning to end and the moment we are reconnected we will leave BT and EE and never ever return.

Been with BT longer than I care to remember. I rate servoce above pride everytime. My most recent experience is typical of their services. I received an email saying they had noticed a drop off in speed every now and again over the last 3 weeks and that they would look at it and I would be contacted over the next 5 days. Within 24 hours there was a knock at the door and an Openreach engineer came in checked the set up changed the connection box fully tested the system over the next 30 minutes. Worth the money

My worst nightmare! Rip off, thieves, non existent customer service, incompetent employees, poor service, absolutely not worth it. I've been with them for 6 years, first broadband, then added TV and mobile. Coincidence or not since EE took over, everything went bad. No mobile signal, no Internet signal, no TV signal. They forced me to upgrade fie a higher band saying Internet will work, but it hasn't and I couldn't stop contract. They charged me and extra add on for netflix which I didn't ask for, they didn't want to let me finish contract before April although I am paying for nothing. You have to wait up to 6 hours to get through to customer service, and if you are lucky they will move you from one department to another with no success. They will just walk you through all tests and procedures and codes and staff that you simply quit because you would need 3 days and lots of patience while they are taking your money without any shame. Run away from them! Run!!!

Even Escalation to Exec level complaints team was a waste of time and after they initially agreed that 6 months of unreliable service was unacceptable and needed to build a case to take it to Director level at Openreach to resolve they then called and out of the blue are now claiming that 5 drops in connection per day for a minimum of 10 minutes at a time is now their ‘acceptable standard‘ so like it or lump it there’s nothing more they can do which has overnight went from really helpful and agreeing with my complaint to couldn’t give a monkey’s and take it to the Ombudsman if you want (which we have no alternative but to do given that as BT are the only provider who can offer any speeds over 3mb at our address and they all have to use BT networks anyway)…..shocking and a complete U turn on their initial attitude. Suspect they are refusing to repair old network (despite still charging customers for unreliable service) as focus is on meeting targets for new super fast network with future overhead cables to everyone’s property)
Hopefully now BT has been taken over by EE they will get rid of their couldn’t care less attitude and bring standards up but don’t hold your breath as BT staff attitude is probably now ingrained with ‘do as little as humanly possible’ and will be difficult to change.
The fact that BT don’t even comment on reviewers nightmares speaks volumes about their couldn’t care less attitude.

For dubious reasons our housing developer told us we had to use BT for our internet for the first year in our new build despite our apprehension - and what a year.
It took weeks just to get the internet running as set-up had been done wrong 3 times, resulting in multiple trips from “engineers”. Even when we recently managed to change to Plusnet (who offer way better internet speeds for much less money and both use OpenReach) our internet wouldn’t work because BT messed up giving the correct serial numbers to OpenReach. More completely avoidable idiocy.
The customer service as every other review states is worse than abysmal. When I called to confirm I was changing supplier one lady just sighed and hung up on me I guess because she couldn’t be bothered.
The next lady then denied all knowledge of Plusnet informing them of the switch so they had full intent to keep charging us. It took a very long time to get it cancelled on that phonecall then they sent me a bill for over twice my monthly payments. When I contested this they told me it was a mistake and I would be refunded.
It looks now like that was a total lie to make me go away as you have to pay the bill regardless so you don’t harm your credit score. Trying to contest this again has been totally futile, the money is just gone.
I’ve heard from multiple sources they will just pretend not to have received your router when you finish with their services just to try and charge you more so KEEP YOUR RECEIPT.
I would recommend switching to literally any other company today.

Don't tie yourself into a contract with them. The call agents are deceitful liars who sneakily lure you in to accept these deals and promotions not properly explaining the increased payments after the discount period then the prices suddenly starts increasing and you are tied into a contract to pay way more than you bargained for. The customer service is terrible. I can't wait to end my current contract with them and never return and I would never recommend them. Their service is a disgrace. BT - shameless people providing worst services than 3rd world counties. Unfortunately, we are victims of BT internet at home. The promised speed of 30mbs is actually 7-11, the promised signal reach of 250 yards is actually 10 yards and they promised us unaffected signal even when we connect 60+ devices, surprise, surprise, the signal starts to lag after 5 devices and it randomly stops working. An utter disregrd to the consumer rights. Failing customers at every single step.
Above all, we cannot cancel because of the contract but they can break every line written in that contract.

Honestly disgusting, I was mis-sold an unbreakable broadband package which was offered by BT to overcome my performance issues on their previous package, it has never worked. They sold me EE unbreakable which gives me connectivity when BT is down but EE is outdoor only in my area obviously I wasn't to know this as not an EE user previously I would expect BT to be checking this. I have made 30+ calls complaining to BT since January this year, atleast 3 times a month. I have been given 4 boosters one after the other to improve service (it hasn't) I have had openreach out, tube engineer out, engineers have told me they do not meet my speed promise and that the EE back up will NEVER work but will they waive the cancelation fee... What do you think. I have had complaint tickets closed when handing over to teams who will resolve my contract issues to avoid the 30 day threshold of free cancellation as part of their process, NOT because anything has been resolved. Honestly I am close to going prison for doing something I shouldn't when it comes to BT. THE WORST service provider in our country.

Even though my tech support experience with BT was a week ago it makes me angry to even think about it again and write this review, but people need to know how atrocious the tech support experience is with BT, so buckle up.
I had an initial engineer visit who identified a broken fibre component on the telegraph pole in the street. Another appointment had to be arranged for an engineer with a cherry picker van to reach the top of the pole - fine, BT booked this for 2 days ahead.
Fast forward to the day and I wait around all day for the engineer and they never show up, and I get NO notification or cancellation message. I call BT and managed to talk to someone who gave the usual platitudes and apologies and they book another one for ANOTHER 2 days ahead. Guess what happened?
NO ENGINEER SHOWS. NO NOTIFICATION OR CANCELLATION MESSAGE.
I decide to check the BT fault portal and it just says I told them the fault was fixed (I did not) and the appointment was cancelled. By this point I am furious, I have been lied to and had my time wasted again. I try to call BT again to find out what is going on and their tech support line now completely denies you any possible way of talking to a human, and it simply auto hangs up after a message and a text bot spams you saying it is doing some tests, (which are pointless because we're past that stage of problem resolution), and just BOOKS YOU ANOTHER appointment. I had to take a timeout at this point, I'm generally a pretty chill person but I have hit 10/10 anger/frustration.
After composing myself I try to find another avenue to talking to a human to get an explanation of what has happened, and some confidence that an engineer will show up.
I end up finding the web chat as an avenue to talking to a human. This process was also painful, having to reiterate the timeline of the issue with the customer support reps taking 5+mins for each response, and getting switched between 3 reps was tiresome. After an hour on a web chat, we get the booking for the engineer and their promise that the appointment is definitely confirmed and will happen.
Nobody offered an explanation for what happened with my previous 2 appointments, I had to get escalated to a manager and he eventually revealed that BT make appointments with Openreach and give them to the customer WITHOUT ANY CONFIRMATION FROM OPENREACH.
So in my case
1: An appointment was made by BT with Openreach
2: BT gave me the appointment date/time
3: At some point Openreach denied the booking with BT
4: BT didn't think to inform the customer and their shoddy automation just marked it as ME closing it.
Truly. Mind. Boggling.
During the webchat I raise a formal complaint, all this turned out to mean is I get an automated text saying
"We raised a complaint and agreed to keep it open until we resolved your query. If your problem has now been resolved, please reply CLOSE. If you're still experiencing problems reply HELP or call us."
That's not dealing with a complaint, that's dealing with a fault. Oh and you can't even reply to the text because it's a short code SMS
Embarassing BT, it sounds like some executive was hired who just heard that all the cool kids were automating stuff so they decided to force automation into every aspect of the platform without spending the time and effort to get it right.
So as a potential BT customer do yourself a favour and choose literally any other broadband provider. I've never in my life dealt with such incompetence from a tech support platform. I'm switching to Sky when my contract is up, BT could offer my entire 2 year contract for free and I would still switch because the stress is not worth the money.

Ever since I got bt,I have been absolutely appalled by the service. Bt promises to give you a quick broadband service without delays or having to wait for thongs to load. I'm affray that bt did the exact opposite. Now it is 'normal for us to spend 10minutes just finding a programme or film to watch, purely because of waiting for everything to load. In the past, we have also experienced (several times) having to wait up to 45 minutes just to get the programme or film to work, this was also with it being bad quality due to the video stopping and starting, the audio not working and an overall unpleasant and frustrating experience when, all we want is a relaxing night in.
We did get a visit from bt but they did absolutely nothing to help with the problem and just looked at the broadband and left, without giving us a solution, or fixing it since. I also know that other people have experienced this so this has to be sorted out. As a result of this inconvenience, we are now changing the broadband services to a different company and are excited to get a better experience, compared to the frustrating and appalling service that we got from bt.

where to start, 2022 started having problems with broadband, numerous visits from Open reach, complaints to BT, still on going, now am at the end of my tether, last 5 mths useless, drops out all the time, if you contact BT every excuse going they don't want to know, spoke today with man called Anthony, so called executive, he admitted today he's not really, doesn't,t want me to go to Ombudsman, I have since discovered that lots of people around me have the same problem, apparently BT can't do anything until Openreach are involved, but they will not contact them on my behalf, so it is left to me, I understood that my contract was with BT but they don't want to know, will keep posted with updates.

Absolutely appalling. 3 faults in one month so far. Have waited in twice when no engineer turned up. Twice sent the wrong engineer (who didn’t have the right equipment for the kind of fault we had). Systems for appointment booking constantly down, the online chat is either AI or populated with people who have no idea what they are talking about. On the phone we’re told something different every time we call. We‘ve had more outage than connection, since bt ‘connected’ us to ‘full fibre’.

Worst telecom company ever. We are moving out of town and have been told that we owe a £500 penalty to close our account despite being up to date on all payments? Outrageous! Virgin does not slam their customers like that. Once your contract ends I recommend that you choose ANY other provider in the UK (i.e., Orange, Telefonica, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, Telenor Group and Virgin Group). Or if you are looking subscribe, DON'T! They do not care about you as a customer and only want your money, and they will screw you to get it.

If there is 0 stars I would not even give that to BT. Worst company ever. Charged me for account which I don't have and is on different address but under my name. Tried to solve issue since May when I found out about it after received Termination of service warning for account/ service that I don't have. Calling them trying to resolve the issue for over 6 months with answer that case is getting sorted and that they aware of the issue and that they know that I don't have account as it was closed next day after it was opened but there is system fault which they try to resolve. Case moved to BT complaints where I have got information not to worry as all will be sorted. Today I call them again and got information that it was moved to Debt collector and they can not do anything! Now after 6 months time on phone , stress, and I don't know what else I am told that they can not do anything as it is down to Debt collector and they don't want to talk with me. I need somebody else for legal advice to sort the case out for something that I never Had!

More than 2 weeks ago BT “accidentally ” disconnected my broadband (including a Bereavement pHone Helpline). Although mistakes can be made what followed has been unbelievable. When attempting to get the service back I found that BT have tried to make it impossible for a customer in need to speak to them. The only way to speak to a human is to go through as a customer who wants to upgrade and then ask not the advisor to put you through to connections. However, the 9 people I have spoken to at Connections are either completely incompetent or fundamentally dishonest. Each advisor I have spoken to sounds credible and has assured me that they can sort the problem out and dependent upon the advisor the service will be restored “later today, tomorrow, in three days, or 5 days”. It’s now been over 2 weeks since they made their mistake. I am still without a connection, Each time I manage to speak to somebody I am told the failure to reconnect is the fault of BT Open Reach, BT Wholesale, the advisor I previously spoke to or Sky! To top it all they have explained to me that managers will not speak to customers as they can’t tell them anything different to the advisor taking the call. When I insisted yesterday that the advisor connect me to a manager she told me that “Aaron” has only just come back from leave and has hundreds of things to do so is too busy, I did not accept that so she spoke to him again to ask him to take my call, only to be told that he will try to call me within 3 to 5 days.

She had all the excuses and worst CRM skill and rude attitude, she said "you want me to cancel your order" Just 10 minutes ago I received a phone call from BT telling me that first part of installation will take place on 5 October. BT needs to pay attention to customer misery if they have any sense of it.

I am guessing their customer service work from home, sorry, I mean they are at home pretending to work. It's almost impossible to contact them and there's no email address contacts. They are supposed to be a communications company!

Scum of the earth. Please, please do not ever join these. Well I joined BT for there 6 months half price deal and if id have known now what i know, I wouldn't have paid 50p a month. Cut my internet off 7 times in 5 months because they kept getting my grandad and mines accounts mixed up (he hasn't been with bt for 3 years) they kept cutting services off before billing date knowing I'm on the vulnerability list and have young children with monitors ect, took 2 double direct debits which I had to fight for to get back, way below promised spoeds, TV service was glitchy and slow. So I left to Sky, received my final bill reminded from bt £656.53 with options for payment plans ect, called the number to be told BT don't accept payment plans and its because it has already gone to a debt collection agency (when I called day I received the letter) it wad with TDX group... Or so I thought, contacted TDX to setup payment plan to be told they don't support BT as a client and it's not with them

The worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with, by a wide margin. I would only recommend them to my worst enemy if I wanted to be particularly cruel. We made a simple request to re-activate a broadband connection, the cable, BT box and router all still in place. After waiting an hour for the call to be answered, we were transferred to four different agents in three different departments over the next hour. The so-called customer service agents were rude and totally incompetent, only interested in selling us an upgrade on our existing connection (presumably there's a commission at stake here). Eventually they agreed to send an engineer, who took one look and said "Oh, you just need this other line reconnecting, that's easy, they've misunderstood". It wasn't in his job description of course and after another hour long phone call with Dumb and Dumber the next day, we gave up. Avoid this company if you value your sanity!

Worst service ever. Avoid like the plague. Called to move homes on the 11th of August. An engineer was supposed to visit on the 6th of September (new address), the usual 08:00-13:00 five hour wait, no one shows up. Informed the engineer cancelled for no reason and this has been "reported internally." Appointment set up for the 19th of September, initially. Called back, appointment moved to the 11th. Engineer shows up, says he can't fix the problem and another "special" engineer or group of engineers have to attend, says that usually happens in 48 h. No one shows. Multiple calls, promised appointment by the end of the week. No one shows. New appointment for the 19th of September, no one shows. First person says Openreach cancelled appointment, second that BT never sent them the appointment. Third person promises appointment in 2 days or the next day. Appointment booked in three days. Called multiple times again, useless, no one able to help. Called again, appointment confirmed, fed up said I want to cancel my account and my money back, lady tries to convince me this "can't be done," "no one can cancel your account," refuses to put me through to manager. Between all these events, must have spent 10 h of my life on the phone with 15-20 different person from BT, at least three morning waiting for engineers, two of them ghosts. In the meantime, paying for a service I'm not receiving. Absolute scammers and fraudsters. I'd rather throw my money down the gutter than pay them another dime.

Where to start on such a dismal service? Returning to a let property and having a teenager wanting fibre speeds for gaming, I chose BT Full Fibre. This was 5 years ago. They arranged an engineer to visit the property on three occasions. Three occasions they didn’t turn up. Three occasions I sat at home missing work. After the third I cancelled. Few years went by on copper, reasonably satisfied but this renewal I reached out again to BT. Distant memories of that awful service were but that, just a distant memory. This time it will be different I told myself. I stayed home. 5 hour time slot. No problem I said. Seven hours in, engineer appears. Shrugs shoulders and leaves stating he hasn’t got the equipment the installation needs and to contact BT. This I did. No apology. Thought it was completely fine to be two hours outside the appointment window. Nothing. I cancelled once more. Again. How many more times will this pathetic excuse of a company keep letting hard working people down like this? Walk away. They don’t deserve your business.

Carried out a house move only to be advised that I can not cancel as I am fixed into a two year contract. Moved houses with BT only then to be charged a cancelation fee £200ish even though Its a house move. House move was then cancelled by BT and advised I would need a new account with a new 2 Year Fix. After this was done had a Openreach engineer contact me to install a new line even though one was already installed. Received a number of emails stating me I will.be charged £50.unless I return my kit which I am entitled to as a new customer.
This company is a joke
