Broadband Genie is an independent comparison service for home broadband, bundled TV and phone packages.
As well as saving you time and money, we help you find the best deals available, including packages that come with rewards.
These are usually in the form of shopping vouchers, pre-paid credit cards and bill credits.
Rewards are issued by providers, not Broadband Genie, but we're happy to help if you have concerns or queries.
Read our FAQs below for answers to common questions:
First of all, thanks so much for choosing to use Broadband Genie!
Before you get your voucher, you'll need to wait for the provider to confirm your sale and pay us a commission. This is what funds your voucher.
Broadband Genie does not issue your voucher. Each provider uses a designated reward company.
This can take up to an average of 120 days after your broadband has been installed. While it may feel like a long time, this it because you need to have had your broadband installed and be out of your cooling-off period. Otherwise, it would be possible to cancel a contract and still receive a reward.
Your provider usually won't issue your voucher before this, so we ask that you're patient.
Ahead of time, we recommend you add [email protected] to your email contacts or email safe list.
This should avoid your emails getting lost in your spam.
I'm worried my sale didn't go through properly. How can I check?
We'll be happy to help, and offer you reassurance or extra guidance. Please feel free to email us at [email protected].
To help us answer you quickly, we'll need the following information:
It's been over 120 days since my broadband was installed and I haven't received my voucher. What should I do?
First of all, check your spam folder. Quite often these emails get filtered as junk even though they're not, and it's easy for them to get lost!
If it’s been more than 120 days since your installation, and there's nothing in your spam folder, then something may need looking into. You can email us at: [email protected], and we'll be happy to help.
If your new provider is BT, Plusnet, Vodafone, Sky, EE, NOW or Community Fibre you should contact the company that your provider uses to send the vouchers. You can find more details on who to contact later in this FAQ.
How will I be sent my voucher?
Once it's approved, your voucher will be sent to the email address you gave us when you registered. If you need to change this, let us know by emailing us at [email protected].
To make sure your voucher doesn’t end up in your spam, please add [email protected] to your contacts.
I found a deal with a choice of vouchers. How do I pick one?
Rewards that come with a choice of retailers are usually issued by Giftcloud.
When it's time for your voucher to be issued, Giftcloud will email you asking you to pick your chosen store (or pre-paid Mastercard). You don't need to choose in advance.
Once you've received that email, and you've chosen your retailer, it will be issued instantly.
Remember, this can take up to 120 days after your installation.
Can I change my voucher?
Unfortunately, once you’ve chosen a voucher, we’re unable to change it.
My voucher has expired, what do I do?
Once your voucher is emailed out to you, you have 90 days to activate it, before the code expires.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to issue a new voucher, so it's important you spend this in good time.
My voucher is lower than I expected/not the voucher I wanted

Giftcloud Rewards:
Many providers use Giftcloud to issue vouchers on their behalf, including Vodafone, Sky, EE, NOW and Community Fibre.
Broadband Genie doesn't issue these vouchers. If you think your voucher is missing then your first port of call should be the Giftcloud help desk. Select your provider as the company from the dropdown list.
You'll need to wait until the voucher validation period is over to do this, which usually between 90 and 120 days.
BT Reward Cards:
You can usually claim your BT voucher 30 days after activation of your broadband. BT should send you an email or SMS with the details.
You can find more information here: BT Reward Cards and Gifts. If you're having any issues, you can email [email protected].
Plusnet Reward Cards:
You should be sent a link to claim your voucher within 10 working days after activation of your broadband. Plusnet will send you an email to the address you signed up with.
You can find more information here: Plusnet Cashback and Gift Certificates. If you're having any issues, you can email [email protected].
Bill Credits and first month(s) free:
Bill credits are usually applied as credit to your account. This means that your provider will use that balance on your account before charging your bank. Billing will resume as normal after this is used up.
First month(s) free means you should not be paying anything until that period of time is up, when you'll start being charged the stated price when you signed up.
For more information on a bill credit or a month(s) free promotion, please contact your provider directly.
