Switched from Sky to EE Broadband. Easy and simple? Apparently not... 27 days and counting without broadband since the switch day, and many hours on hold wasting time and listening to lies from their tech teams. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Wish I had seen the reviews first! -

Awful broadband service and when I say awful I mean atrocious. I changed from virgin media with the promise of better broadband service, I was expecting an improvement in the Internet which was fine before. But instead I have gotten a non existant internet service instead. Not only can it not give Internet to our whole flat ( whicn isn't that big) it constantly cuts out in areas that are its strongest Internet spots for connection. Avoid avoid avoid! Maybe with less customers they'll review the absolute trash of a service their providing. -

I cancelled my contract and asked on the phone if it was OK to go ahead and remove EE from my direct debits on online banking. The person on the phone said that yes, as a payment had just come out I was OK to cancel the direct debit. EE then tried to take a further payment after I'd cancelled the direct debit. When I received the letter stating that my payment hadn't been collected I contacted the customer services to explain the situation. After being put on hold for 20 minutes while the operator spoke to her manager I was told that no, I had to pay the last amount as they had no record of me cancelling the account. I had to re-cancell the account. I was told either to pay up or to go through to the customer complaints process. I didn't pay, initially believing in the process, then filled out the customer complaints email but got no answer. I thought the problem had been dealt with but then received another letter threatening my credit rating and that my 'debt' would be sold to a collection agency. I called the number to pay the amount because I don't want that, and even THEN it wasn't easy - the automatic payment process switched to a person who needed to take all my details again. When she asked for the payment due date on the letter (there isn't one) I was told I couldn't make the payment. So now I have to pay but can't pay. After I took her employee number so that I could try the complaints process again she magically could take the payment without the mysterious disappearing due date. Please for the love of humanity, if you're reading this before getting into a contract please don't sign with EE or Orange, or T-Mobile (they're all the same company). -

I think ee broadband is good for the internet in general , the problems I has were actually when needing customer service. I would be on hold for a long time, felt as if my enquiries weren't dealt with as they could of been or particularly helpful. Was charged for phone line which I did not have, which was later refunded as I made a complaint about a diffrent matter, and when they looked up my notes etc they found out I was being over charged which resulted me being owed £221 by the company, which I might add took 2 months for them to pay me back, which I think is a joke because whenever I was a few days late with a bill the company would be keeping check on me to see when I could pAy, bearing in mind I was with company approximately 2 years and would always pay bill, but never took 2 months. I have now decided to move to sky broadband. -

An embarrassment to broadband and a terrible service from start to finish.
Connection was poor and constantly interrupted, and extremely slow in the evenings. After many complaints and days off work (unpaid) waiting for technicians, my issue was still not resolved. I quit EE early and went to an alternative who fixed the connection issue immediately. Furthermore, I after refusing to pay EE due to the poor service (why pay for something you didn't get?), my account was sent to a debt collection agency. I overpaid them by accident, by £23.50. This amount was sent back to EE - nearly a year later after many broken promises on their behalf and many more calls to EE from me I am still waiting for this money back from them, and they also insist that it is only £18.00.

Probably Britain's worse company. Twice they have had me without any Broadband connection for over a month at a time. Lots of broken promises of when I'd be reconnected and customer service representatives that simply lie.
I've 3 old unused routers from them as they kept sending out the wrong one as they weren't Fibre compatiable and they would send them to seemingly random places, including a work place that I hadn't worked at for over 12 months. Yet EE claim they didn't even have that address on their records and were adamant it was sent to my correct address. It wasn't.
Popping into their stores is no help what-so-ever.
Stay away from EE unless you want to end up suicidal. -

I started out with ee with standard broadband which was great. Then I decided to get fibre and it was the worst decision the speed on average was slower and it constantly was offline for one reason or another. Customer service shocking and I strongly recommend using someone else -

Had talk talk before and struggled to get 4Mb, constant cut outs, hours on the phone to them with never any help..Best move I have EVER made! 3 weeks in still a constant 70MB, no drop outs, Havent even noticed any traffic management via newsgroups during peak times, EE TV is amazing, I just can't speak highly enough of EE! -

What a joke EE is. I'm 3 weeks in and am getting 0.3M. They say I have to be connected via ethernet for a speedtest, ie find a laptop, or a pc with a 10 metre lead. A wireless connection should do the job. -

My interaction with EE broadband has been farcical. It has been two months since I first registered to have broadband installed. Since then, my appointment has been repeatedly moved without any communication from EE - it has now been moved 10 TIMES from our original start date. Between us my flatmates and I have missed 5 days of work in order to wait for the EE person, who never arrives. At one point they actually cancelled our order without telling us. A week later we rang them and they told us they had tried to come to our address but couldn't find it so they cancelled the order. At NO POINT did anyone get in touch with us. Eventually someone in their customer service department told me that they would send us an intermediary wifi solution while we waited for the actual installation. This never arrived either. I will now be cancelling my contract and will never EVER be using their services again. This has been the most appalling customer service I've ever witnessed - I'm exhausted, pissed off and I just want my money back. I will let you know what the conclusion to this story is! -

My fiancé and I were tempted into getting EE broadband by an attractive upfront line rental and then £2.50/mo afterwards for broadband for a year. We set it all up without any problems. The following March (our contract was due to finish in June) they called me to offer to continue that deal for another year. Well as far as I was concerned, that meant another year of £2.50 a month which sounded great. After speaking to them, I changed my mind and decided that I shouldn't really be agreeing to year long contracts over the phone. I called them back about 20min later and they said that contractually I couldn't cancel without paying the full year cost upfront. Ridiculous but fine. My fault. They then started refunding us a random amount of money each month starting from March. I know, great right? But it made no sense and at no point were we sent any documents explaining why this was happening. In June, suddenly our broadband bill was £17/mo.
Then, in October, we moved. I was prepared to encounter difficulty in moving my broadband to the new address, but all seemed to go smoothly. Then the day arrived when the technician had to come to "set it up." He arrived at 8:15am. I was still asleep and my fiancé was in the shower. I jumped up and threw clothes on, meanwhile the bell is going and going. I went downstairs, still not sure if it was EE, and no one was there. I went back up, checked my phone and nothing. 10min later I see I have a missed call. I call them back and it's the EE guy. I said that I was in but he had already left but that not to worry, someone would be by again later. I waited until 2pm and then decided to call EE. I was told (after many transfers and dropped calls) that no one was coming, my appointment had been missed and that I had to reschedule. First available appointment was 2 weeks away. I was now going to be without internet for 3 weeks. Given that the technician didn't hang around really, I didn't feel that this was completely fair so I asked to be refunded a month. Seems like good customer service to me considering I have been paying them for a service they were not providing. The guy very reluctantly said that he would do that. I waited patiently for 2 weeks and the next technician arrived. He spent an hour setting everything up and was very nice and helpful. The broadband had not been switched on yet (which just boggles my mind) and so he told me to call them up to see when it would be switched on. They assured me it was due to be switched on at 12am that night. Is it switched on the next morning? Nope. I called them up and they said that our address hadn't been updated, which considering the number of times I have called them in the last three weeks, every time having to provide an endless number of details, os absolutely absurd. And of course, it's not anyone's fault, it's a "technical error." And, it's going to take 5 working days to get it changed and switched on. And no, I am not receiving a refund, so the guy before just lied to me to get me off the phone.
EE customer service is absolutely awful. It's a shame because (when you finally get it switched on) the Internet was fine, did the job and we never had any technical problems with it. But we cannot wait until our contract is up in March. Do not give EE your money. I promise you it is not worth it and they will not take responsibility for their ineptitude. Pay a bit extra for something better. -

Be very careful with EE broadband.I'm unfortunately stuck with EE for another 2 years (waiting for FTTC to come to my area) and I have to say I can't wait to leave them because their service is awful. I tried to report a fault to them but they ignored what I said and gave me the same useless troubleshooting methods which don't actually help at all and is just an excuse for them to say they "tried to help". They won't fix the fault because they are waiting for FTTC to fix the problem which saves them money and hassle of contacting openreach who manage the exchange. The connection itself is terrible, it's unreliable with spikes in ping and packet loss which occur every day and happen more than once.
So if your thinking of going with EE think again. -

Openreach scores an ‘Own Goal’ by cutting off my Landline and switching my telephone number to another person in the village whilst also cutting off their Home Phone and Broadband Access.
I firmly believe that EE should immediately stop taking any more orders for their Home Phone and Broadband Services until they have cleared the backlog of existing problems and improved their working relationship with Openreach. It is just not good enough to sign somebody up and pass them over to India to get technical problems resolved. In my case I have waited on occasions in excess of 33 minutes before my call is answered to be confronted by extremely low volume from a willing yet difficult to understand technician. Surely EE should take ownership of the problems encountered by new customers until their services are up and running.
I have to say that Orange/EE have provided my wife and me with an excellent Mobile Phone Service over several years. I was and still am, looking forward to a reliable service with EE but from the start it has been a disaster resulting in the loss of my home broadband service for almost 2 weeks and then my landline since 30 October 2015. Openreach supposedly activated my Broadband service on 20 October 2016 but this resulted in my landline having no dial tone and another person in the village ending up with my telephone number and account as well as losing her Broadband.
I appreciate the possibility of the odd teething problem with most technical things but surely it cannot be difficult for EE and Openreach to synchronise their activities and expedite what is now an urgent situation. My opinions of EE were aggravated when they did not listen to my prognosis of events and tried to shift the blame on faulty equipment within my house despite overwhelming evidence of incompetence in switching lines during my Broadband Activation.
Credit does have to go to EE for their goodwill gesture to provide me with a MYFI device loaded with 24GB data. This has allowed me to access the internet but would be an expensive option if they fail to get my service installed promptly. My low rating is only based on the service that I have received for my Home Phone and Broadband Service. I am still without my Broadband Service.

Came to end of contract, phoned for migration code, customer service is rude and obnoxious, hung up on me. They did tell me I was out of contract and there would be no fees, but then charge me £10 because I am still in contract after I move. Phoned multiple times a day by their call centers after leaving, who just hang up on you when I say that I am not interested and to please stop ringing, won't be going anywhere near in the future, very bad form from a huge company who should know better.
