My EE broadband was fine, not great but passable, until they decided to offer me a free upgrade to 16Meg, my original BB connection was 8Meg but it rarely achieved 4Meg, it was however constant and never dropped out. Since the upgrade the service continually drops, the speed varies from 10Meg but recently has dropped to 1.5Meg. EE blame BT, BT have checked the line and everything is fine, I spent an hour tonight on hold waiting to speak with someone somewhere remote, who, I know is going to tell me it's nothing to do with them. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. -

This is the worst ever broadband. Avoid it at all cost. As a reliable customer of over 6 years, I moved house and had to wait over a month to get an active line. I was then offered a month's discount for the inconvenience. I noticed my service was cancelled by EE for being in arrears of £2. How the £2 arrears was generated I have no clue as I was meant to have a month's discount and had a direct debit set up.
My account was terminated completely and was asked to set up a new 12-month contract for something I wasn't responsible for. I'm glad I'm rid of EE. NEVER AGAIN. -

DO NOT BUY!!!
We "upgraded" to EE from Sky about 12 months ago and we have had nothing but problems with it. We don't even get download speeds of over 1mb/s and upload speeds of 0.5mb/s when they "promised" speeds of 17mb/s.
You have been warned. -

Worst experience ever. I was told the switch from Sky to EE will be seamless. Now I don't even have broadband for a month and half. The sky discontinued the broadband and then EE gave a new date which is after 10 days after Sky discounted my connection. Nothing worked on the day of activation and I spent nearly 2 hrs with customer services team and I was told that the order was failed as they couldn't transfer my number. After serious debates they started a new order which was supposed to golive today. I came to know today that the order was again failed and the new activation date is next Friday. The service is pathetic and I wonder how they are surviving in the business. I will never ever recommend anyone to move to EE for Home Broadband. This was putting me and my family under lot of stress as kids are struggling with their studies due to lack of internet.
I have officially lodged a complaint with EE and got a call to apologise. I was told that they will give me a follow-up call today which did not happen. I can't believe the service EE providing to their customers. I think the EE team is not capable of running broadband business. -

I have constant connectivity issues which they tell me is my machines, they get fixed it lasts for so long then goes again. Often on the phone for an hour at a time and on top of that paying for fibre broadband which is no marked difference from before.
Very frustrated. -

The worst provider I have ever used and I should have known better. Even mentioning "EE" and "broadband" in the same sentence sounds odd, unless the words "slow", "painful" or "mindbogglingly bad" are also used.
The speed; my mind was blown at how bad internet speed can be. 75% of the time I can't even watch 240p YouTube for more than 3 seconds before it has to buffer. I have had to give up trying to play any game online because the speed is just so bad. Speed tests show results of 100kb per second. I would have more success carrying the data packets to and from the server myself than have EE do it.
Customer service said they would send someone within 3 days to fix the speed issue, took 7. Didn't fix it and said they'd be back in 2 weeks to sort it out. They said something about BT screwing up the line.
Ill give them this, EE are reliably bad. Well done lads. The worst reviews for broadband I've seen and know I know why. -

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
When is works the internet is standard at best but overall highly unreliable internet connection and speeds (in London - what hope for anywhere else) that is rarely anywhere near reasonable speed particularly in the evenings. With one user we struggle to watch iplayer/OnDemand TV due to slow data transfer. Two users and it grind to halt and network/connection error. Worse still is their diabolical customer service. Much like other bad reviews I have experienced being on hold for long periods of time, then speaking to someone who talks nonsensical jargon and continuously swerves questions falling back to repeating nonsense. Promises of call backs, 'removed caps', manager call backs and engineer visits all empty. Highly unimpressed and would actively encourage to use alternative providers for the sake of your sanity. -

I've been with sky for 3 years and it was ok, went down once as far as I remember. I'm now switching to EE as I want a router with 5Ghz wifi.
I wish I've read reviews before I've made the switch, I'm starting to panic now as the contract with EE is for 18 months.
In the email they said my broadband will be activated on 25th Nov 2015, so Sky switched off the line on 25th and EE sent me a text saying it that the EE broadband will be activated on 27th (not 25th like they said before). They switched on the phone line on 28th Nov at 8am but the broadband is still not working. I've been on multiple calls with them now and they'll be sending someone to inspect the fibre cabin and will call me back within 24h.
I'm not impressed so far, I wonder if I can still quit this contract and go back to sky? -

My review is a positive one.
I left BT due to their increase in prices for the package I had. EE were offering £1 a month for unlimited broadband and if I paid my line rental in advance I would receive a discount. Including delivery for the Brightbox I have paid £183 for a years line rental and broadband. EE also paid my BT cancellation charge. The deal also included a £120 Amazon voucher which I have received.
I contacted customer services to check that my number would be ex directory and withheld when I made calls, my call was answered immediately and dealt with promptly.
I signed up in October, the Bright box arrived within days and I was connected on the day EE informed me I would be. Set up was easy and I was connected straight away. The speed is fine and hasn't dropped out at all.
Perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones as everything is going well and I cant knock EE. -

AVOID EE AT ALL COSTS! Been with these robbers for 2 years now and Unfortunatley been away a lot so not been able to cancel the contract. The initial price was £16 a month which has now randomly risen to £30 a month for broadband alone and although it is named 'unlimited' there is NOTHING unlimited about it, it takes around 15 attempts to actually connect to the box and then after every 30 mins it cuts out and then works on and off every 10 mins or so. Absolute crap! Whenever I call the customer service I can barely understand the operator which is just embarrassing for me and the operator. Not only that but they do the same thing every single time 'let me check your internet speed' which you have to use a laptop or pc for so I have to dig that out (we only use tablets and mobiles) and miraculously after an hour or so on the phone they speed up the connection, well until the next day that is! It's an absolute rip off they sell limited broadband as unlimited by simply cutting it off randomly to minimise their costs. -
