The broadband speed is the worst I've ever had, early in the morning or late at night you can get 4-8 Mb download, but at peak hours, its just imposible to make it work. They do nothing to fix it. -

If I could give NO Stars then I would. The broadband speed is so slow it is dire. The endless phone calls to what EE describes as "Customer Service" produces nothing but excuses and false promises. And like other reviewers here I have had a mid contract price hike adding insult to injury. In all honesty this company should not have any customers it is the pits! AVOID!!!!!! -

Do not use this Scam Company. What they promise in download speed is lies. When you complain they promise this, that and the other....all lies. The contract is lies with a price increase mid way through. Broadband speed at the weekend is around 1.4Mbps!! That's impossible to use! No customer service. No interest. No quality. Do Not Go Near This Company. EE you suck! -

Dire Broadband. No words can describe how bad EE is. Download speed is so so slow it is unbelievable. I have complained so many times and all I get is that the area is bad and I should upgrade to Fibre (for another increase in price of course). Problem is that I have had 3 other broadband providers before EE and I only went to EE because they promised the same download speed at a cheaper price. LIES!!! how can other providers give me a good speed but EE cannot and the price has gone up mid contract. This is a scam company. Do Not Do Business with Them!!! -

I am almost speechless at how bad this company is. Their broadband is so aweful that I just cannot describe it as broadband, with speeds below 2Mps. Sometimes I cannot log on. Other times using basic internet facilities is impopssible and as for trying to watch a video, even of only a few minutes length, is impossible. When we were sold this package it was, what I now know to be, a screen of lies. As others have repeatedly said in these reviews their Customer Services is a white wash with absolutely nothing at all being done. AVOID AT ALL COStS!!!!! -

This broadband is so bad I mean bad as in lousy! No other description fits. One lousy company intent on SC reading you for every penny without even trying to provide anything like an adequate service. How can they call it broadband??? Streaming is impossible. Freezes all the time and even the most menial tasks take for. And do not make the mistake of contacting their so called service department. Incompetent and completely uninterested. Just one totally lousy company. Don't even think about going near. Be warned!!! -

My broadband contract is due for renewal so decided to check the reviews out on this site for various providers. i am actually currently with EE for Fibre Broadband and had I seen some of the terrible reviews I may have been cautious about taking my contract out with EE. However, in the whole of my 18 month contract, I have never had a problem with the reliability or speed of the broadband so am quite surprised by some of the reviews. I may well decide to take my business away from EE however this would purely be down to getting a better deal elsewhere and not because of the service received. I hope it isn't a case of better the devil you know if I leave!! -

Avoid EE if you have children!! My issue is less to do with the speed of the broadband (though that's not great) but with the absolute travesty that is safe browsing with Norton. To keep your children safe from adult content firstly you must register to buy the Norton Securities software (the first year is free but you have to give them payment details to get it). Then you must download a chunky bit of software or two apps on to every device you own (two apps??? With Sky, safe browsing was done by logging onto their website and switching it on! That was it!). Next the Norton Family app disables Safari, as it can only keep you safe if you you it's own browser!! What?? What about all my keychains and history and bookmarks?? And if you go through all that with every single device in the house (we have 9 devices between us, not including 2 raspberry pi) your children are still not safe if any of their friends come and visit, because their devices don't have the two apps installed! What an utter pile of *****. I want my IP address to block adult content, just like it always has, with every other internet provider we've had. Instead I've got a phone that still has Safari disabled (even though I have now deleted the Norton apps), and I'm shopping for a simpler solution, which I will have to pay for. I intend to charge it back to EE, with a bill for the hours I've wasted on their over-complicated Norton partnership. Rubbish.
onto each and every device your children might use (I started with mine because they jump on my phone pretty often to google something). Then in order to activate the safe browsing features the app disables Safari (or other browsers)! -

EE Broadband is the worst I have ever had. Frequently it is impossible to log on. Download speeds, as others have said here, is excruciatingly slow. Emailing is sometimes impossible. Streaming is impossible with constant buffering and freezing. When you make a call to what EE calls it's customer service department you may as well spot in the wind for the good that it does. This company cannot be trusted, it's product is lousy, it's support mechanism is flooded. In a nutshell AVOID at all costs! -

Less than 2mb broadband download.... is not broadband and is not acceptable. But EE think it is just fine and charge for it. Their "Customer Service" people are so immune to criticism that they just cannot care less. So....absolutely dreadful Broadband combined with Non-existent customer care and mid contract price increases = the Worst Broadband Provider in the UK. DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE!!!! -

Waiting 7 weeks for them to fix problem, they send 1 SMS every 2 weeks "We sorry for taking to long...We know what is the problem and look into it...We are working to gain access to the side". I know problems can happen, but taking so long to fix it, I don't think it's normal. Aside from that the max speed drop sometime to 4Mbps according to multiple side speed test. Need to restart router in order to get back up to 8Mbps. Avoid waste of time and money. -

Absolute crap, been with EE for just over a year, struggle to get any speeds over 2mbps in the week, weekend and peak times it's under 1mbps, told over the phone we probably need a new router, makes absolutely no difference and now found out because we've received a new router we are tied into a new 12month contract. THE WORST customer service and broadband we've ever had. I'm sick to death of buffering signs, honestly don't bother -

Appauling broadband speed!!!!!!. Should not be described as broadband. Should be prosecuted under the trade's description act. You phone them and they don't care. I was told the speed would be very good. Last so called customer advisor described the broadband in my area as "dire". So why did they lie to me about it? Their solution is for me to upgrade to fibre.....for another price increase. They have already increased their price mid-contract. NO Chance. I did not have this problem with sky or BT. Lousy Broadband all the time. We were promised a faster than SKY download speed...a pack of lies. Nothing like as good and SKY wasn't fantastic. EE are can artists, they do nothing when you complain. Can't even get the email to download fast enough let alone videos. Streaming is impossible due to freezing like narrow band. Simply put ....AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! -

In the weekends it’s 0.2 or 0.5 mb download speed
Some weekdays will be lucky to get above 4mb -

Honestly the worst internet provider that you can go with we were miss sold the overpriced package which was for “small homes with 1 and 2 devices” our home has over 8 the connection can’t handle any type of console. I thank god that we are moving to virgin if you want any decent experience go to anywhere other than EE no band they are worse than dial up.
