Could not organise the proverbial in a brewery.Planned to move from BT after years of so-so service, chose Plusnet on a mix of price and good reputation. Back with BT within 3 days. Plusnet allocated start date for the service earlier than specifically requested and could not be contacted to correct the error. After a full day of 'please call back tomorrow' and 1 hour on hold I spoke to an advisor who corrected the error but did not send the confirmatory text/email as requested. If this was an indicator of the service I would receive, decided to walk away at that point. Cancelled direct debit immediately but after waiting 2 weeks for refund of the initial credit card payment I was advised it could only be made by cheque which I could expect to receive 'within 21 days'. Great stuff, the nearest branch of my bank is around 20 miles away. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGEPOLE!! -

Never again with Plusnet, very rude, unprofessional customer service. Opened up a ticket for ongoing issue, nobody even tried to contact me or fix the issue and all of a sudden they decided to close the ticket didn’t even bother to inform me. So don’t trust that if your problem is not sorted in 30 days you can leave for free crap at all. 0 for customer service. -

We forgot to renew our contract and were put on a much higher tariff. thats OK I suppose. when I called customer service to renew they said the original offer was no longer available and offered a more expensive deal. I questioned this and was put on hold for so long that I hung up and looked for other deals. The Plusnet customer service rep then emailed to say he was wriitng the new contract. I called back to tell him that we had signed to Vodafone and I was told the new contract was already written, I was then put on hold again, for a very very long time before the rep agreed we could terminate the (non existant) agreement. We then received an email asking us to re consider and offering a much better deal than the original offer. when I looked at the (very) small print it said Plusnet would charge £404.75 for early termination of a contract that didnt exist. This was eventually waived when I called to complain. Not the way to do business. If Id not read the smallprint we would have been charged a lot of money. Dont let that nice bloke on the telly fool you, when he says 'we'll do you proud'- they wont. Never again. -

Been with Plusnet not long after they started.
Until we moved house again, 2 years ago, always championed them to friends and family.
NOT NOW!
Slow speeds at new home giving far below paid for speeds and reliability. Neighbours don't have same issues.
Been on the phone to tech support for many hours over the last year or more. They blame openreach, who then do checks and say it's all ok. Eventually openreach engineer booked to come to house - I suggest to have a new router sent ready and waiting for him. He comes into house and shows his machine can achieve good speeds - I can't! Router wasn't sent. so speak to Plusnet again. They blame openreach again. I suggest maybe router is at fault. eventually it arrives. I change router. now get speeds we should. Will be changing to gigaclear as soon as they finish laying the cable down our road. Whatever it costs! Plusnet have dramatically dropped in standard of support service. As providers are only as good as their support, I advocate avoiding Plusnet at all costs. If you have a problem, you may well have similar expereince to us. -

Everything was fine until early 2020. Speeds dropped off, it dropped out.
Customer service a nightmare, after many calls and 4 people to explain to on one call, on hold got ages while they spoke to someone else...
Don't choose this provider...Rubbish on all levels -

worst wifi ever, i live in a small 1 bed,1room ,1 kitchen and a bathroom, you would think in such a small property the wifi would be excellent, plus nets answer was go to fibre at a higher cost, this i did and was provided with a new (different style) router, omg the wifi is even worse, i have had to buy 2 cables to connect my 2 tv's directly to the router, can't wait till my contract ends so i can go with a better (hopefully) company. -

I have just cancelled my PlusNet account due to the thoroughly awful time I have had trying to get my service restarted after moving to a different room in the same building. Three phone calls of well over 90 minutes , talking to a dozen different people and being told time and time again how 'sorry' they are and that they will 'look in to it', I have finally had enough. I strongly advise anyone planning to go to PlusNet to think again.
Yes, they may be low priced but their customer service is shocking. One person on the phone transfers your call to the next department without telling that department why you are on the phone and so you have to begin the process again.
I don't know where they got their award for Customer service, but to me it is a joke. -

As always have to give star to do review!! This third day no internet now being told will be at least another three days. Staff have always been helpful in past but sadly 50% spoken with have been down right rude and unhelpful. Plusnet really need to monitor their staff as sadly I feel with some I have spoken with an inconvenience to them watching Jeremy vine. I am seriously considering changing supplier. Bad service Plusnet -

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. I had to contact them to get my router delivered as it was getting closer to my go live date. Then on the go live date, nothing went live. I rang Plusnet the next day to be told there was an issue on my account and that only a phoneline had been recorded on the account, not broadband too. So why when i called to ask where my router was did someone not notice that then?! I was then told i would have to wait 10 days so the line to could be made live. my old provider had already cancelled my service, so i was without internet for 10 days. 10 days later, and the line still hasnt gone live. i call Plusnet again, only to be told its is a technical issue and i would be transferred to the technical team. As i was transferred, i was hung up on, and as it was after 8pm i could not call back. i called back the next morning only to be transferred between four different departments, with every single person lying to me, telling me different things, and finally telling me my account was broken and i needed to make a new one - which again was a lie because once i made a new account they essentially set up a new broadband request for me for a new 'product' which i had not requested. i was then told the line would go live in 24 to 48hrs and asked to speak to a manager who then told me this wasnt possible and it would take another 10 days. I have spent far too much of my own time having to try and sort this, when it is Plusnets mistake. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY!!! -

All of the available broadband provders have awful reviews saying the worst, yes everyone! so comparing reviews when looking to change is meaningless. Happy broad band customers get on with their lives so it seems.
Been with Pnet for 17 months and nothing has gone wrong and the speed is stable at 35mbs. Just looking for a new deal as the price will go up. Fat lot of use looking for reviews on providers though. -

Patience of a saint!
Having swapped over to PlusNet, I missed the delivery of my router (I had to leave the country at short notice) and when I returned back to the UK, phoned to see if I could use my old router until PlusNet could re-deliver one. The call-handler was amazing. I somehow manged to cut her off (I dropped the landline phone on the floor) and feared that I would need to join the covid-queue again but she rang me promptly back. ‘Let’s try this then’ and, ‘No problem, could you do this on the router and read me out the numbers….’ She was incredibly calm, knowledgeable and determined to try and get my internet up and running for me and spent over 30 minutes with me until my wireless internet was working. I was incredibly grateful and near the near the end of the conversation asked if she would re-send the PlusNet router again…. ‘I’ve already done that, it should be with you shortly’; it arrived the next working day. What I really liked about PlusNet was that the call-handler took ownership of my problem and dealt with it, instead of passing me onto other ‘technical sections’.
