Regretfully I am obliged to award PN one star for all aspects of what it laughingly calls service. They deserve negative ratings all the way through. Appalling company with arrogant unhelpful support staff who couldn't give a toss about customer service. Now moving on after months of trying to resolve a problem. Good bye and good riddance to the most vile company I have ever dealt with. -

I have been with Plusnet over 10 years and can say they have got gradually worse as they got bigger.
There finance section hasn't got a clue. At present they are billing me for a service i do not have. They have charged me twice as much for the service amount I am listed to pay and they are holding onto my money.
They claim honest broadband from Yorkshire. As far as i am concerned there is nothing honest about this company. -

I have found PLUSNET to be excellent overall - their tech support and call centres are in Yorkshire. They offer a variety of packages to suit all requirements/budgets.
Also you can have broadband only or include home phone in your package. I have not had any problems with them.
Please add my user name; woodburn636 as a referer when you sign up and I will receive a small discount and you will receive excellent broadband and can then go on to refer others.

Used to have a top class service on the up to 8Mb product. Reliability now very poor on up to 20Mb. Many disconnections and told that 3 disconnections per day acceptable. Speed is satisfactory. -

the worst mistake i ever made, 6 weeks of really poor service & call centre that's always putting you on hold. if you think it's too good a deal it probably is. think about the £65 you'll have to pay to get your mac code, expensive mistake which left me unable to afford any broadband service. -

Was with them for two years after leaving BT due to enjoying a month of downtime plus a customer care package earlier than Neanderthal.
All fine so long as nothing went wrong - then Plusnet show their true 'colours' - "Tech Support" insist on you first purchasing new router, line filters and even suggested I should cart my systems 'to a neighbours' to prove it all worked BEFORE they would actually "DO" anything ! A useless set of plonkers - AVOID AT ALL COSTS is MY opinion !
If you have to deal direct and handle all your own repairs, then you may as well cut out the "Plusnet Middleman" and deal with BT !
I live in a small village away from a large city environment, so BT with all their vexatious "terms and conditions and exclusions running to 80 pages of microprint apply" and a "Helpdesk" in India can sometimes actually be the only option.
The only "good" thing about Plusnet was the MAC code to LEAVE !

On the face of it the speed is better than I was getting with Orange, which was barely over a dial up connection.
The increase in speed with Plusnet is fairer but when I see adverts ofr speeds of up to 20mb, I feel a little cheated! -

This is an absolutely terrible broadband service provider! I was shocked at how poor all aspects of the service is. From customer service where they did not even run routine tests to check what the problem was, and led to us having to repeatedly call up and not having internet for the 1st 3 months we were paying. The broadband keeps dropping out and is unbelievably slow - I paid for 20mbs not 60kbs! So far we have only had ONE week of decent service in the 5 months we have been paying.
I am unfortunately stuck for another 7 months a I foolishly took out a contract for 12 months.
DO NOT TAKE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER!
Pay a little more for much better service. -

Was with Sky Broadband who advised I couldn't have more than 8Mb connection. Checked the BT Exchange who advised I could get upto 15Mb. Looked at Plusnet who advised that I could have 12Mb for £11.99 which has saved me £6 per month and almost doubled my connection speed. At best, I could only average 4-6Mb with Sky. I'd strongly recommend that people check-out Plusnet as they're realy good. -

Router shows a connection speed of 6MB but download is rarely above 2MB. In the past and with Nildram download speed was over 5MB. -

I would not give PlusNet any stars at all, but your rating system insists on providing at least one.
I regret taking out a subscription to PlusNet. It is not broadband as I recognise it. Snailband would be a fairer description. Some of my dial-up subscriptions in the 1990s were faster.
It takes up to a minute to load a simple web page. Ditto with opening emails. Opening even small attachments on emails can take even longer.
The same machine and everything else worked perfectly fine with Tiscali and even better with BT Broadband.
I have the impression PlusNet is working on the remainder bandwidth of a larger supplier.
However, notwithstanding the foregoing, I must stress this is only my personal experience. Other customers of PlusNet may be more fortunate. There are local idiosyncrasies with every broadband supplier and none is anywhere near perfect. -

The broadband never worked. It's really cheap, but you get less than you pay for.
Its always going down and the speed at nigh times goes no further than 800 kbps sometimes when you are lucky it comes up to 2000, but this happens on 31st of February.
When you call the support they say that is fault of the computer, the socket, the filter, the TV, the weather... every time is a different and also very creative excuse for the broadband that not works.
If you like to suffer, please sign up with them, they really don't give a s... if you are getting a good service or not.
