Overall it is ok. However, I do find that the internet can go off more often than I would like and sometimes there can be some delays when streaming things on TV -

Reasonable if everything is working okay however absolutely useless if you have any issues and have to contact customer services. I tried over many days to contact them and waited for hours on the phone without success. For the sake of your sanity do not sign up for any BT services, it’s not worth it at any price! -

Due to our rural location, BT is the only provider that gives our area good internet. It is still not the quickest but it is by far the best -

Terrible terrible ???? company
We didn't have internet service for about 3 weeks, we were calling BT and no reply. When we transferred to Sky, BT showed up and forced us to pay high amount of pounds for no reason.
BT is very unfair, very bad company.
I wish such companies should not exist. -

Even though the internet connection has been solid and online all the time, we have found that we have outgrown our speed we had subscribed up to (150Mbps). The issue lies on trying to upgrade, the cost of the internet that we pay for at the moment is extortionate and has been increasing over time. We want a higher speed for what we pay as for what we pay would be the highest speed possible else where. -

Can't really complain. Very reliable and speed good. Two of us both working from home in media manage with the speed and we haven't ended up in an emergency cafe yet! -

0/5 - Worst Service Experience with BT Internet
Avoid BT Internet at all costs! I've had the misfortune of experiencing:
Frequent Disconnections: Constant drops in connectivity, requiring router restarts.
Slow Speeds: Never exceeded 500 Mbps, despite paying for 900 Mbps package.
Unreliable Speed Testing: BT claims only their app shows accurate speeds, dismissing third-party speed tests.
Harsh Payment Policies: Immediate disconnections for missed payments, followed by 24-hour reactivation delays.
Lack of Transparency: No service status updates or reminders for payment due dates.
Coming from Virgin Media, I'm shocked by BT's subpar service.
Virgin Media:
- Sent reminders for overdue bills
- Provided transparent speed information
- Notified me of planned disconnections
- Didn't disconnect services immediately
BT's logic is baffling:
- Charging late fees, then disconnecting services anyway
- Claiming their platform is designed to evade third-party speed tests.
Now, my services are disconnected, and the irony is that I'm unable to open the BT app to pay my bill! The app is not working, what a shame.
How am I supposed to pay my bill when your app doesn't function? This is ridiculous.
Warning: Don't make the same mistake. Consider alternative providers or use your mobile hotspot for internet at home.
Advice:
- Research thoroughly before choosing BT
- Check speed tests from multiple sources
- Be cautious of hidden fees and disconnection policies
I hope BT takes customer feedback seriously and improves their services (May be in dreams). -

I pay more than the original base rate for the upper level deal which has very fast download rates but it constantly drops out. I have spent many hours in call time trying to put this right. All I get is excuses, basically blaming me for the problem. I have replaced ethernet cables with CAT8 gold plated ones, moved my router away from the window all at the suggestion of BT and all to no avail. They test the speed and see that it is as advertised. That is not the problem. Intermittent drop outs cause me to lose connection to the on-line game that I play rendering the service useless to me. Unfortunately I have 15 months or more to go on my contract. I don't have a television and only make approximately 2 landline calls per month. All I need from BT is a continuous connection to the internet. It doesn't really need to be super fast. I advise anyone thinking of changing to BT to try somewhere else. It is not very good. The people on the end of the line at servicing are very nice, polite etc. but ultimately did not help me at all except to suggest I try the super conductivity system at £12 per month more than the super deal I have now. No thanks. DO NOT USE BT -

Last Thursday when talking to BT we agreed to add on to my contract in the form of a full house WiFi. They sent me a contract stating Broadband Package for: 24 months. You've got Complete Wi-Fi. We'll send additional Complete Wi-Fi discs to guarantee a reliable Wi-Fi connection in every room of your home. We'll send you up-to three discs to ensure this.
Today they said I had at least two different contracts created (it was not me creating them!) and they could not find my order!
Each time I spoke to them each person was stating something different and there was NO SOLUTION provided.
Some of their customer representatives were really rude and patronising. I spent at least three hours of my time trying to sort it out. They mislead me completely and I am not getting the service I was promised in the email with a valid 24 month contract with a promotional price and discount.
If I could I would just cancel their services. They are unreliable, misleading and in times patronising...
