Comparing mobile broadband in Plymouth
Residents of Plymouth and the surrounding area enjoy a good level of support from the UK’s mobile network operators. The four networks - EE, Three, O2, and Vodafone - all provide 4G service in central Plymouth and out to the surrounding area, including Plympton, Millbrook, St Budeaux, Torpoint, Roborough and Saltash.
EE and Vodafone probably boast the best mobile coverage outside the centre of Plymouth. This implies stronger performance for Three customers from 2025 thanks to the network partnership with Vodafone.
Coverage across the board can get patchier as you head further into the countryside, however. There's also improving 5G access in central Plymouth, from most of the networks, but O2's is reported to be slightly lacking in comparison.
Before committing to any mobile broadband package, you should make sure the coverage and performance will meet your needs. This is particularly important with 4G and 5G, which both have a more limited reach than the more established 3G services.
