Vodafone constantly fail to meet their guaranteed speeds. The last 5 mponths they have given a discount, but I want speed not discount. Time to move to a different provider. -

We've had VF broadband for a few years now and across 3 different addresses. They've been great.
When we move, they give us unlimited data on our mobiles until things are sorted, same when roadworks pulled all the cable from under the road and a BT engineer took 2 weeks to restore service. Mind you, we have our mobiles with them as well.
We need to split 2.4 and 5 out for a couple of older devices and in both our current house and the previous one, we've been talked through the steps by an engineer.
Our current place has a basement level which couldn't get the wifi signal so VF *paid for a powerline Wifi extender thingy* (£30) I bought from Currys.
I'll subtract a star for Customer service (painful automated system and slow to answer the phone sometimes), one for speed (though we are in the country now) and one for reliability (it's dropped a couple of times in the last week) but overall, I'm really happy and would recommend them. -

Decided to leave sky for Vodafone in January , tempted by the good price and an amazon echo thrown in.
What a mistake that was My sky connection was 40 meg consistent.
Vodafone started at 55 and has now sunk to 18 meg.
My router had constant drop outs, self rebooting, thus lowering my line speed.
There is a bug within the router that when your Apple Watch connects via Wi-fi the router reboots.
This is a known problem to the tech team and new firmware will not be available until January at the earliest.
So I am now stuck with a pathetic speed and Vodafone will not let me go from my contract.
I have disconnected my watch and the line is now stable but do you think Vodafone will reset my line to training again., s as absolutely not,so now have to wait 8 weeks to escalate and leave this rubbish provider.

DO NOT USE VODAFONE.
Found out that my broadband speed was under the promised limit for over a year and they offered 15% discount going forward and then had a patronising lead adviser not even bothered to listen to what I had to say. -

Signed up for fibre in April but it didn't work properly until November! Initially a router arrived and didnt work properly. After a few technical calls they decided I needed a new router and would send one out. It was never delivered so I phoned again 2 weeks later to be told the new router would be sent out. It never arrived and this process of me phoning them - delivery never being raised was repeated 6 times before I managed to escalate the problem to someone who finally sorted it and a router was delivered. It's worked fine since then, but the compensation they promised on each call would be arranged once the broadband was working properly -they've now said will not be honoured. Ridiculous -

I chose Vodafone because they were the cheapest provider and also as I thought they are a big well known brand they should be OK. When I first got connected there were some teething issues with the speed up and down but after maybe a week it was fine u get about 70mbit via wired, wireless is lower maybe 35-50 depending if I go from 2.4ghz to 5ghz. I wish it was a bit faster on wireless so I think I will get my own router configured as I have heard the router is the issue with wireless speeds. Can't complain really all streaming etc works without buffering. -

Disgraceful service. If you have a concern then be prepared to spend hours on the phone before you get through and their 3 day email reply is a huge lie -

Shocking speeds. Promised 70mbps on the package, apparently shouldn't go below 50mpbs currently getting 3.53mbps WIFI (speedtest). I am 1m away from my router. My 3G is faster than their internet. Plex Server buffers local files that is how slow this is. When I was with Plusnet, never dropped below 60mpbs on WIFI. Leaving for Virgin. -

Really bad customer service. After upgrading my broadband package to 'Superfast 2' I was sent the new router which was faulty and I have been waiting for the new router for over two months and still haven't received it despite making over 10 phone calls spending over 10 hours over the phone, repeating everything over and over again. -

Vodafone cancelled my account very poor customer services poor broadband and not reaching broadband speeds I was suppose to go live with them on the 20th of November in the words of steps a total Tragedy don't trust Vodafone for your home phone or broadband they are totally untrustworthy and they don't stick to the contract that they have agreed with you Avoid this network unless you want to be ripped off with high bills I will be reporting this company to trading standards and ofcom. -

I have just upgradee to Superfast 2. The download speed is on average 71 and upload 18. Vodafone have always been very helpful over the phone and in the local outlet. For a total price of £23 + £5 for unlimited phone calls. Extremely happy with the service. -

Our broadband with Vodafone has been average at best. Even though we were guaranteed 40mbps it drops out just watching catch up tv.
Customer service is really appalling. I've made a formal complaint and asked to be called back but nothing from them.Try calling them and all you'll get is " Sorry for the delay We're really busy right now".
Just awful. -

The service I am receiving with Vodafone is abysmal.
The speeds we were guaranteed are 75mbps down.
Initially we got 60mbps down 16 up, but after a day, that dropped to 30mbps down 16mbps up, then after another day it dropped to 16 down 8 up, then to 8 down 4 up, then to 4 down, 2 up. The speeds we are currently getting are 1mbps down, 2mbps up over Ethernet and 2kbps down 32kbps up over WiFi.
Upon contacting customer service we were told that the issue is that Open Reach is limited to 15mbps which is absolutely a lie as we were getting 60mbps previously and 40mbps on BT less than 3 days prior.
While the broadband is more reliable than what we were getting with BT, where it would go down mid-day for seemingly no reason, I feel that giving it any more than 1 star for this would be giving Vodafone more credit than they deserve because of all other ways they suck. -

My DSL connection drops regularly, whicheans no internet at all several times per day. Vodafone support advise me this is down to the network in my area, and nothing can be done. So I'm now trapped in a contract with them for a service they can't provide reliably. Customer service is appalling, they don't do anything at all to help despite dozens of phone calls. Do not use Vodafone if you want a reliable service. -

Avoid at all costs. I signed up for the £23pcm super fast 2 Broadband deal promising 55mb minimum speeds but should be getting about 70mb. Line installed by open reach engineer, he confirmed I should get about 80mb based upon distance to the cabinet (less than 100m) which has fibre to it. On the day of installation I was receiving 50mb and told that this would improve as my signal stabilised over the next couple of weeks. Return from a short break to find DL speed had dropped to 5mb, via ethernet cable and using there preferred speed tester. This is apparently due to too many users in my area and Vodafone not having enough bandwidth. Cancelled within 30 days for a full refund which I have yet to receive. Despite hub being returned and signed for by Vodafone email received today stating it hadn't been received and that I would owe them £99 if not returned in 16 days. Absolute joke of a company with horrendous customer service. Hours spent on the phone trying to sort out numerous problems to no avail. As they say, you get what you pay for. Back to VM for me! -

After being a customer for over 2 years I renewed my contract so I could get a better price. After 3 failed attempts and 6 hours (in total)on the phone somebody who actually knew what was going on arranged it. Said they can to cancel my existing line and provision a new one. There would be no downtime as the cancelation would happen on the 2nd of Dec and the new connection will be ready by the 19th Nov. Woke up this morning to find zero connectivity. After 2 hours more on the phone I've been told they cancelled by existing contract last night early and I have to wait until the 19th for the new one to kick in. I work from home and have terrible 3g/4g signal so creating a hotspot is really not possible. I'm totally screwed - thanks VF - way to treat a loyal customer.
