Don’t do it. There’s a reason why they are cheap. No issues with broadband in 5 years since I have owned this property. And now....problems daily. My broadband drops out minimum 10 times per day. 2 BT engineers later who have said nothing wrong with the line, and a new Vodafone router and the problem persists. The people on their customer service line are quite friendly and relatively helpful but the honest truth is that they haven’t fixed my problem despite in excess of 8 hours on the end of the phone to them. Go somewhere with a history of providing good broadband service.....Vodafone is not it -

Avoid at any cost. I switched from BT in August. I've been previously with Sky. last 3 years there were no issues with speed or connectivity. ever since I Switched to Vodafone, there is no reliable connection nor the speed promised. There are a few people working in the company who don't know anything about how to fix a problem. It's 4.5 months and still no resolution. I reached out for cancellation and they want me to pay early termination fees. This is ridiculous. they promised 24 hours and 48 hours for a resolution and the guys do not leave any note on the account. Next time repeat all the story again and go in circles.
it's such a pathetic and horrible experience I ever had. It's a shame for Vodafone to be operating like this and treating it's customers so badly. UNBELIEVABLE they still have licence to give broadband service. It's a shame. -

I was very disappointed with the speed of Vodafone fibre broadband. I phoned the call centre and was told that the advertised speeds refer to the speed that would be obtained if a device was connected by an ethernet cable to the modem. In this modern age of 'wifi' I assumed that when I took out a high speed internet package, it would provide high speed on wifi - sadly not. The speed was sufficient to use spotify and netflix sometimes but sometimes had issues when using at peak times. Anyway, they were unwilling to do anything to help despite the fact that I also have 3 mobile phone contracts with them and have done so for many years. So I've cancelled the contract and moved to a competitor where the speeds are much faster. -

I will never go with Vodafone broadband again. For broadband service fault you have to speak to a chatbot, this is highly frustrating. They have disconnected me from my line without telling me. I've had continual connection speed issues and when I call to cancel my contract to request a refund I have been transferred from person to person without resolution. To say Vodafone are incompetant would be an understatement. They have also said that I haven't reported any issues with my speed but I screen shots of my conversations with their chat boys. The only option I have is to report them to trading standards. -

I ordered vodaphone broadband several months ago. Routers have been delivered and promises about start dates made. Unfortunately the process has been beset by problems primarily due to poor communication inside vodaphone and terribly formulaic customer service. For example, they failed to realise that a different provider had an existing line that needed to be removed and they Incorrectly concluded that an engineer would not be needed. The process of coming to each of these conclusions was excruciating Partly because the customer service team and technical service teams do not communicate with each other properly. On a number of occasions the broadband was simply cancelled whilst we were in the process of trying to resolve some of these issues. At the same time the customer service assurance of callback is rarely met.
My advice: look at the reviews and customer service complaint of Vodafone first - you might be stuck in an endless cycle of customer service formulism like I am -

Absolutely appalled by Vodafone's customer service. When trying to call them you get put on hold for over 30 minutes. When I finally managed to cancel my account which can only be done by phone. They didn't even cancel it and kept trying to charge me. I spoke to at least 4 people who kept saying that I didn't have any further payments to make and they would resolve the issue. All of them were being dishonest as the same issue kept coming up. Really fed up with the whole situation and people that I spoke to not doing their job properly. -

Absolutely fuming, router was supposed to be delivered 6/12 as engineer coming on 11/12. Contacted vodafone on 10/12 to ask where router was, it will be here tomorrow. This afternoon contacted again, told its on its way, it will be with you today. Just phoned to make a complaint as still no router. On phone 25 mins to be told there is something wrong with my order regardless of loads of emails from Vodafone saying everything done and ready blah blah blah. Told I have to phone back tomorrow and speak to the relevant dept. I asked why I have been lied to twice, he tried to say I hadn't been lied to, I stood my ground and said twice I was told it would be here today and its not. He agreed I had been lied to. I have been a Mobile customer for 20 years with no issues. Well done Vodafone, you have now lost a customer. Oh and I'm being charged for a service i can't use!!!! Be warned people. -

I change from Sky to Vodafone as they promised me Super Speed Internet. The first two weeks it was like promise, then it kept dropping out and would not connect. Which is very annoying when watching Netflix. I’m now using a lot more Mobile phone data than home broadband. I spoke to customer service which was useless and was very difficult to understand. They said I can not cancel as it’s over 14 days, how convenient! Eventually they agreed they would send me out a engineer. Who did not turn up after spending the whole day in waiting. Very upsetting. And yes, I am still getting charged for piss poor internet. So people I’m warning you. Please please do not use Vodafone as your Home broadband!! -

shame offcom hasn't done anything about forcing these companies to make transferring to a different type of service provider easier. Vodafone are just about un-contactable. Paying for a service i can't use, then paying for call costs for 40+ minutes and still not get through to to cancel. -

Worst customer experience ever!!! Decided to move away from virgin do to the big increase in price. Decided for Vodafone as my mobile internet works great with them and price was decent. When I called to become client they were eager to take details and of course they mentioned we will deal with everything. Called a couple of days before installing to say that virgin is not saying anything regarding a cancellation. They say they can’t cancel Virgin and i need to do it myself. I tell them that was not mentioned. They reply we will listen to the recordings and will call you back in two hours. No phone call! Call back and tell them I dont think this is starting well and I want to cancel and not proceed with the installation of broadband. Answer we cant as it is 48 hours before the installer. I tell them I wont let them in. Get transferred to a different department and get told that is fine I should give him my broadband router and that everything will get cancelled as the broadband never got installed. Month later got my first bill!!!!! Called back and after 1 hour they couldn't see in the system that the installer hadn’t installed broadband and for them it was active!!! They were going to cancel and would let me know if they could cancel the invoice!!!! Got a message this morning if I can call them!!! Worst ever avoid at all cost. At the end got an offer from Virgin and sticking with them -

Terrible customer service, please do not sign out with Vodaphone especially broadband service. They signed me up for two broadband contracts at the same time-without my permission and sounded like they were giving me a favour for cancelling one of them (the one that was set without my knowledge). Managers zero emphaty for their side "error". Absolutely horrible and horrifying experience. -

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. As soon as your cooling off period expires the speed drops away. Customer services aren’t interested in sorting it out or giving good customer service. My plan was estimated as 60mbps, I am half a mile from exchange. Initially connected at 63mbps, which dropped to 58mbs during cooling off period. Now I am getting 48.9mbps. You can only claim money back if shown on app, which always conveniently either doesn’t record it, the claim button vanishes or the app crashes. Terrible company & terrible service -

SHOCKING AND FRUSTRATING BROADBAND SERVICE. I would not advise anyone to subscribe to or purchase any Vodafone services. Especially Vodafone Broadband products. I have been a loyal customer with Vodafone for years now and since starting a new contract with them a month ago I have spent hours on the phone to their tech team with little or no long term solutions. 1. My router line was not connected to my router on installation, hour or so on Phone to tech team . 2. My devices that connected to my old voda router do not automatically connect. Still not working properly 3. I am told different things when when speaking to advisors. 4. I have been promised a call back by their service agent and had no such call or feedback on my ongoing complaint that has been pending for some weeks now. 5. The broadband app does not always work and is currently offline for me.
6. I cannot chat to anyone as they are too busy for me. Probably inundated with complaints. Bottom line, thoroughly unimpressed and have requested a cancellation immediately. I will not waste any more time or money with them. (I never normally vent on social media but people need to be made aware that this company will over promise and massively underdeliver). Save yourself grief, vodafone have not shown me they care about me as a customer.
Comments:
I'm using it about a year and I can say it is ok now.
The up/down speed is good, low latency (gaming is ok), absolutely no problem now.
First thing to do is to drop out the Vodafone router because it is just simply a junk. I had to restart it every day sometimes twice a day or more because the WIFI connection was rubbish, the forums are full of complaints but looks like no one cares at voda.
You have to ask the customer service to give out the routers password and buy/use your own router (about £20 on eb@y a Homehub5 with openwrt is perfect)
With Vodafone broadband you must use a 3rd party router because their device is @#@#!&@ ..very low quality.
