I am a key worker working on critical national infrastructure from home for the past 2.5 weeks. I had multiple problems with Vodafone broadband over the years but these started getting worse in Feb with the connection dropping off several times an hour over the last few weeks. I reported it to Vodafone at least half a dozen times. I understand shortages of stuff considering the situation but not the constant lies and abysmal technician support. The promussed 3 day turnaround for 2nd line support just doesn't happen. They don't text, call or fix anything. When someone does get in touch they ignore the clearly stated problem (malfunctioning internet connection on the router) and waste my time on wifi splitting or changing microfiletees, despite BT confirming back in Feb that the problem is not on the line but with the router. I checked the Vodafone forums and it is clear that their routers are of poor quality and malfunctioning but they refuse to acknowledge it and to semd a replacement, despite my key worker status and impact on my work. I am at wits end as it is now impossible to get hold of their chat or help desk and.desperate for a solution so I can do my vital work. -

Tonight I was on customer contact centre chat, managed out of India for an hour, after 15 mins agent 1 passed me to agent 2. Agent 2 asked me question after question about cancelling including numerous security questions! Agent 2 then said after 45 minutes oh sorry I have just been informed cancellations are closed until 8am can you callback Sir.....
Then when I complained he offered me £5 how to make it much worse. -

Overall the customer service agents are friendly and helpful, all whilst not really being able to provide any actual support. I suffered with terrible speeds well below what was originally quoted, the connection keeps dropping out for no explainable reason, the router is perhaps the most ineffective I've ever come across - and this is a widespread problem it would seem. So much so, Vodafone agreed to start letting customer use their own routers, but in order to do so you need to call and ask for a DSL Username and Password - this is official information on their website, but when I called I was passed from department to department and nobody knew what I was talking about. The only saving grace about my relationship with Vodafone Broadband is that I've had so much money back from them due to the sheer volume of calls I've had to make to get issues resolved. For instance, they sent me a new router but forgot to de-register my old router so the new one didn't work, which took about 12 hours to resolve. Then a day later they de-registered the new one and it set my house alarm off whilst I was at work, and took me another 12 hours to resolve.
I've been a Vodafone mobile customer for years and have no issues whatsoever with that, but the day my contract is up on the broadband, I'm gone. -

Vodafone suck,
connection has always been ****, it continues drop and it stays down for several minutes and this continuously during the day and night.
They declare 75 mbps connection when it actually oscillates between 10 and 35, but for them only their bogus test is valid. -

I have left as the service had really deteriorated and I was getting a very poor download speed. The Voda app failed to let me claim against their guaranteed minimum speed as it always gave an error. New provider Plusenet instantly restored existing download speed that I started off with Voda. I would not use them again. -

Moving over from Virgin, I needed something that had a solid speed, rather than one that was up and down like Virgin was.
Ever since signing up for Vodafone I've been impressed. Signing up and being installed took around 10 days and after waiting the obligatory week for our speed to level out, it's been reliable and at the speed we have been promised.
The app is also brilliant! Being able to track what devices are connected is a god send, especially when I can boost the speed to one device when I am gaming!
Overall I'm really impressed with Vodafone, the price I pay is exceptional and the service has been great. I don't get where the bad reviews are coming from. -

The worst broadband service I ever had.
It began with 5 days delay for the activation date, followed by one month of no connection due to a fault with the line, during that entire period customer service at first could not determine what was wrong then found out that OpenReach had to send an engineer.
the engineer's visit was delayed twice, then he appeared unannounced and asked to enter the premises despite Vodafone explicitly telling me the engineer will NOT require access to the premises.
he got in, and could NOT fix the issue. a rebooking was required and I had to wait another week. OpenReach CANCELLED that appointment because Vodafone did NOT follow up with them!!
booking ANOTHER appointment was necessary, and again I had to wait another week. the engineer shows up and fixes the problem with the line.
I got good speeds for a couple of days, then the sync speed dropped to one-quarter of the guaranteed minimum speed, I called Vodafone and they claimed they will fix the issue. the very next day, broadband goes OFF completely.
I called them today and they told me that an engineer's visit was necessary AGAIN, and I have to wait until next week, and that it was not guaranteed an engineer will be able to make the visit within the three days timeframe!!
through that entire experience, I was continuously thanked for being patient, but it's not about patience anymore, it's about extremely bad service and unprecedented unreliability and incompetent logistical management.
I will be cancelling the contract with Vodafone, and I cannot imagine why they should charge me a penny for this insane service.
if I could give a zero star review I would've. -

After the price crept up by 30% I decided to cancel this service. A month later and daily arguments with support staff it still has not been cancelled and they still keep trying to bill me.
Vodafone is a scam, do not go with this company.
The broadband itself was OK. Occasionally it would cut out for a few minutes or speeds would drop to a third of what they should be. Mostly it was fine.

Terrible Customer Service. I ordered Vodafone Broadband 2 weeks ago, but the router never arrived. I've been on for hours and hours complaining, asking for a new router, they just kept re-assuring me it would get here. It never did, even DPD said they had lost it, so I asked them to send another, still nothing arrived. Yesterday, they switched me over without a router and I lost internet at the most critical time, home working due to Corona. I asked them not to do this until I new I had a working router, they did it anyway. Due to the urgency I decided to use my own modem so requested the PPP username/password in order to connect. My existing kit did not seem to connect, so I went out and bought a Draytek modem, which didn't work either, so i went and bought a TP Link modem/router combo, and this didn't work. So after hours more technical support it transpired they had provided me with only a partial username, and the password they had given me was incorrect due to I's and lowercase L's, they had read it out over the phone incorrectly. So eventually, I am online using the TP Link. The speed seems fine so far ~55mb on Superfast 2. Still not received the Vodafone router though, it will probably never arrive. I have never had such bad customer service from any company, they could have sorted this long before Corona started shutting things down. -

Don't bother ordering from them. I placed an order which they messed up and then blamed me for not contacting them. And because I didn't realise they'd cocked up I couldn't have the offer that I wanted because it was no longer available - disgraceful service. -

our family have always used Vodafone now my daughter is being charged for unlimited phone package and a further charge for her home hub which has never worked. Despite many complaints they say to leave home hub will cost her £300. worse decision ever made can't wait until she can get rid of the home hub. -

Absolutely Awful.
I thought that combining my mobile and broadband provider would make life easier. Wrong. Things started badly when Vodafone changed my landline number without informing me (I subsequently found out that the number was allocated to someone else). That took a week to resolve. Since then I have experienced multiple issues trying to log on to my account (all I want to do is get a copy of my bill) and each time it seems to take 2 to 5 days to resolve the problem. Will not be renewing my contract. -
