Told me a load of lies, Changed from BT to Direct Save and it would not cost a penny due to the price hike by BT lies been billed for £200 by BT for cancelling mid contract. Get your facts correct Direct Save before cold calling please what a hassle. -

I completed a contract on line but did not get the same contract. I was sent a router I said I didn't need. Paid far more than stated for the annual line rental (to be fair this may have gone up after waiting for connection so long) I haven't got the half price deal. I got charged £1.70 per month for paper statements I didn't want. Couldn't log into account on website. When I phoned I was told I needed to prove the contract signed regarding half price etc. Not too sure this review will send as connection is a bit hit and miss. Still cheep though! -

I've been with Direct Save for a few years now and paid in advance for phone and £1.95 a month for broadband so I put up with slow speed But recently Broadband has been very unreliable Have decided to leave and they've sent me termination invoice of £304 which is roughly 20x my monthly bill. tried customer services to get written breakdown of bill and won't send, ask for manager and none available, also very unhelpful. Worst decision I ever made switching to Direct Save (big joke as cost more in long run) -

I use the internet all day every day. I am programming websites. After moving to direct save I have been constantly sidestepped. Using standard 3mb broadband It cut off several times per week and was generally unreliable. I upgraded to fibre and its gotten worse. I have been cut off from editing my sites 4 times thins morning alone. On top of that they dont let you access the router so you can either replace it with one that works, or make sure there isnt a firewall bocking. As a constant user I need to know this and I need to control it. Best move back to a more reliable supplier. VERY DISAPPOINTED. -

Switched from Sky and should have done it long ago. Great savings and the contract price guaranteed for 2 years, unlike sky who constantly put it up! Change over was easy with no problems. I would definitely recommend Direct Save if your looking for a good value for money provider. -

We have changed to Direct save after being cold called. We have changed from Sky in an attempt to lower our bills (we are pensioners). The broadband speed is low to nonexistent and living in a fairly large city I find that surprising to say the least as do I find the couldn't care less attitude of the company. We are very dissatisfied to say the least! -

Have had no problems with this company at all. Changed to them after being with sky for years, who's bills had gone astronomical. Changed after searching for better deal and found this one on U switch. Paid line rental year in advance (£11.50) a month saving me £8.49 a month compared to sky, and broadband deal of £1.95 a month (unlimited usage) saving another £6 month. Did everything on line and all was completed easily and satisfactory.
Sky cut line off dead on the dot of 8am on changeover leaving me with no phone so called direct save customer service spoke to a helpful young man who said he would check it out and were connected within the next half hour. No complaints about that..
Broadband speed is better than sky.
Surprised when first used it as to how quick it was. Have had no problem with any monthly bills for phone calls. The only thing is the free wifi router is obviously a cheap version but it works OK , it does drop out if wander too far away but easily corrected if use a better router or extender. Had my doubts before changing after reading reviews but unfounded all in all no problems or complaints. Thankyou Direct save and U Switch. Saving £15 a month . happy happy.☺ -

Absolutely shocking service, DO NOT USe direct Save! I joined them because I thought I was getting a good deL. turns out my router has never worked from day one and they want ME to pay for the engineer when there are no faults on my end. The man I spoke to FOUR times was so rude, has a French accent, very hard to understand was mocking me over the phone saying I said I wouldn't take the panel off because I'm a woman! What on earth? I did everything they have said and I'm still not receiving any wifi! I've complained to them time after time, and still have not got a response or received any wifi! I repeat DO NOT USe ever!!! -

I was phoned by this company offering cheaper service, after a long chat on th phone, decided to go with them, I was told everything would be taken care of, sit back and wait for the change over,at the time we were still in contract with BT but said to leave it with them and there would be no contract charge to leave BT not the case BT started emailing me with contract charges for leaving, on top of that I was getting several bills from direct save , I made many phone calls to this company but no one returned them. Also my router never arrived for the setup date , phoned them again and was told they had run out and not sure when they will get some more in , with that I phoned BT and they still had control of the broadband so they put a block on it so direct save were unable to take over, but unfortunately they had got the phone line and for the 3 weeks they had it the line was dreadful with crackling, I couldn't make a call.
To conclude my whole experience with Direct save was harrendouse and cost a lot money, my advice on hearing the name direct save , run away as fast as you can -

Cowboys - AVOID!!! Signed a 2 year contract with them. Had frequent problems, they always overcharge and refuse to refund (eg double charging on line rental - you pay for about 16 to 18 months each year!!!). Poor broadband (only 30% of the speed of previous providers we have used). Poor reliability, often went down. Rude abnoxious, uncaring customer service. How bad can you get. -

From day one I have had a very intermittant internet speed, Direct save are saying it is my signal extender not the internet. The booster can only boost what it gets it can't increase the signal.Blame is always laid elsewhere. No chance of a refund if you have paid up front. Absolutely do not use these guys except for telephone. There needs to be questions asked where the internet is going to be used in relation to router and what type of signal can be expected, we are not all technical geniuses some of us are of a different generation and need guidance! an expensive steep learning curve. -

Been with them since early days and recently upgraded to fibre. Excellent service, helpful staff who do what they say.
Had a problem over last few weeks of declining broadband speed. Rang them yesterday (25/01/16)and was promised new router which arrived today. Talked through set up step by step and system now running well. Many thanks to VJ.
Cannot recommend them enough.
Comments:
First their online web registration system is a total failure. I went through the process countless times giving all the information requested, direct debits etc. and the final 'submit' button takes you back to the start. At first I waited a few days for the conformation. Then I tried again. and again then gave up and telephoned them.
"Do you want a router?", I was asked. "Not if I don't need yours, I have half a dozen routers already!", I replied. The router came regardless and I was charged for it.
I pre-paid the annual line rental but the monthly bill was much higher than expected. I was being charged for 'caller ID' more per month than the charge for internet and the calls package combined! I had never asked for this, was never told about before and never given the option not to have.
I had to threaten legal action to get the caller ID charge removed and customer service were totally dismissive and patronising throughout.
I have found this site today because my broadband connection has become extremely slow and unreliable. I cannot even get the braodband speed checker to give me a figure because the connection won't hold long enough. Let us just say that the speed is insufficient to listed to the radio with iPlayer - less than old dialup speeds of 28 kbps.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
