Excellent!! That's all I can say after being a customer of well known provider and being totally cheesed off with them, price rises , trying to contacting them spending ages on the phone. Direct save is a pleasure to deal with. We have had no problems, with Internet or phone. They give a detailed itemised bill & customer service have been good . We have just recommend friends. -

I had a problem with my broadband first time I called them they told me my broadband was setting up and ring back after 8pm and the red light was still flashing internet not working so l rang back and women on the phone engineers will ring you back tommorow but if you read the contracts it says that engineers work 24 hours 365 fays a year but I asked to speak to a engineer she said you can't I have passed your issue to them and they will contact you in the morning so there are no engineers she said yes me so you help me with my issue and she said straight forward no so I said I think I will report this to of com as you are not telling the truth of your engineers working 24 hrs a day 365 days a year what do you think? -

Please read some reviews before taking a contract. We didn't and we conveniently went active on final day of our "cooling off period" to find our broadband was between 1& 3 mb. Their only advice was to go fibre optic. This made no sense money wise but they where only interested in charging £360.00 if we broke our contract. An absolutely useless lot, not even sure if they are a real company but please AVOID!!! -

After leaving EE Broadband, which i have been with for some time and looking for a new provider, I came across Direct Save Telecome on a comparison website for home phone and broadband. After seeing the price and thinking how good it was i visited the website, read all the details and signed up for Broadband Opt 1 with them, on signing up i filled out all my information and received an email from them (this email never said anything about a router being delivered, just presumed this would happen). A few days later i received a letter from them in the post with all the details of the contract i had signed up to, i checked this and everything seemed fine to go ahead and i was just waiting on the delivery off the router. On this letter though there was no live date, so i was left wondering when this live date was, was i to be left with no internet ?
I signed up to Direct Save Telecome on the 02/01/2018, on the 10/01/2018 i still had not received a router from them but instead received a letter with a go live date of the 19/01/2018 and an INVOICE which stated it would be taken out of my account on 14/01/2018 - I hadn't even gone live yet, no router had arrived, but this wasn't the only problem, the invoice was for a lot more than i had signed up for, they had added extra charges on already and i hadn't even gone live with them !
After reading peoples reviews on this company i was appalled to see what they were really like and realised i would be experiencing many more problems with them, i phoned my bank straight away to cancel my direct debit, i then phoned Direct Save Telecom to cancel with them - the lady who answered the phone was very rude, her tone was appalling and she wasn't very interested in speaking to me as soon as i said i wanted to cancel.
So glad i visited this website and read all the reviews before my router arrived and before the go live date.
Any one thinking off going with Direct Save Telecom AVOID ! I would not recommend this company to anyone.

What they fail to tell you is after the VAT and added cost they are no cheaper than their competitors and unlike a larger company have no real customer service. I am going to quit. -

Do not get a contract with DirectSave whatever you do. My mother I'd not fluent in English. Thinking they were her previous providers they got her to sign up to a contract with them over the phone even though she did ask them are you (the name of the previous provider). I called and explained this, they said the contract has been agreed and that's it. They lied and mislead her.
The broadband service itself is very poor, slow and unreliable. Connection drops etc. Customer service is rubbish, no help at all, they act like they rather be elsewhere!
Router stopped working and was told to purchase a new filter, which they did not offer to provide or post out. Wasted my money as that was not the issue, refused to send a new router out. Literally telling my mum to sign up to another year and then they will send a router for free. The cheek! No help service absolutely frustrating to chat to these people. Like the previous comments....DO NOT GO NEAR EVEN WITH A BARGEPOLE. -

I have been a loyal BT customer for 25 years until I found out they had put by bill up 20% without informing me and wouldn’t give me a better deal unless I committed to an 18month contract. Moved to direct save on a recommendation and they have been marvellous, the customer service is fantastic and the phone and broadband are reliable, I had a problem connecting and they answered the call in under 2 minutes and sorted in 1 minute. They can’t do enough for you. Exceptional service. -

The signal strength in some parts of my house was weak. I asked for advice on a local FB forum and one suggestion was to contact the provider and ask them to change the frequency. The 2nd one was to instal a range extender.
When I spoke to Directsave, I got the same advice and since installing the range extender, the signal strength has improved a lot. -

Moved to our new home and made sure we had sorted out the internet prior to moving in. 10 phone calls plus on hold 5-10 Mins at a time, no call backs and on Saturday no engineer available so not great service at all! Especially frustrating when your told they will set it up a day later to still having no net. Asked for refund -

They deserve 0 star. There are so many hidden charges which they won't tell you when you order your broadband. Once you sign the contract, they will send you a bunch of bills. They hung up if you call to complain. Do NOT ever deal with this company if you want a peaceful life. -

Transferred from a major supplier to DirectSave. It was not seamless. Over a day to get everything working - that's a day without any phone line or internet. Speed is now one tenth of what I had before (about 0.6Mb download speed, compared to their advertised 17Mb and 7Mb with the previous supplier). Think twice before transferring -

Due to living in a new build can only go with 1 of 4 companies initially went with direct save before reading the reviews and on reading the reviews immediately after tried to cancel was made aware that there was no cooling off period and no chance of getting a refunding or cancelling this was not made clear at any time and was told to read the terms and conditions however the router did arrive the next day and was easy to install my 16 year old actually did it herself. I have had no issues with the broadband service at all at the moment and so far in all seems well. The customer service is admittedly not that professional and when I mentioned I had wanted to cancel due to negative reviews the lady I spoke too was quite defensive and a bit rude but calls were answered quite promptly so all in all I guess I can't complain too much at this stage. -

The best broadband provider we have encountered.
We were messed about by Virgin when trying to maintain our contract on moving to rented accommodation .
Had 2.5 months without broad band!!
Direct save sorted it within 3-5 days, have excellent technical back up when I was unsure with regards a fault and if I’ve had any questions regarding any thing
I haven’t been sitting on hold endlessly waiting to speak to a parrot who can’t speak English properly.
I would highly recommend Direct Save down to my positive experience. -

As with others I wish I had read the reviews before I bought this product. I didn't even receive it. I called a number of times to find out when the router was going to arrive and when my broadband was going to go live. I was told two different timings by different people. Then I read the reviews and decided to cancel the whole thing - it was not worth the hassle. I called to cancel and the woman said to email in writing to the customer service department (fine), which I did, did not receive a confirmation email so emailed to ask for one, still nothing. Then I rang to make sure and they said they didn't receive one, then they checked and 'oh yes, it's here'. I wanted to get a refund of the £50 fee but that was not possible because there is no 'cooling-off period' when activating a line (or something like that). I agree with all the negative reviews. Customer service was far from pleasant. Just don't waste your energy of this lot. -
