    Let me introduce you to the worst internet company in UK - Talk to Talk. When we made our contract two years ago , the very kind agent we spoke to explained us that for our big house we better get two routers and he guaranteed the internet will be with the best quality and high speed. 

However three months ago one of the routers stop working proparly and the internet at home became very slow. I called the company straight away and they sent us an engineer to determine the issue. 
Further more they informed me that if the issue is with any of the routers at home we would have to pay them £75 for the engineer coming. 

After the check from the engineer he determined that the issue is from the network somewhere outside, not from our home. He said they will call another engineers from OPENREACH to come amd make tests outside so we don't need to do nothing more.

After that we waited for couple of weeks but we never had an internet again. Meanwhile I was still paying my monthly bill even that I haven't used their service for long time.

I called again and the same thing happened again. They had to send an engineer home again to determine the issue as they never recorded our complaint the the last time. 
An engineer came and he said the same thing. He said they will call the technicians from Open to come and fix the problem in the Network outside.
While waiting another month our other router also stop working and we were left without any internet. However I was still paying for the internet I didn't have for months.
After three months I spoke with a manager from Talk to Talk and I requested a full refund for the time we were paying the internet which we didn't have.
However I still don't know what caused the problem but I highly recommend you DO NOT MAKE A CONTRACT WITH TALK TO TALK if you want to avoid all the struggle me and my family gone through.

In 21 century I use my mobile internet so I can still work and watch TV.
This is totally unacceptable.

    I have TalkTalk TV, Broadband and Mobile Phone.
    Everything was fine with not many problems during the first year.
    I had a letter from carphone warehouse (TalkTalks phone supplier) to say that their computers had been hacked and customer records had been stolen, I took this letter to my bank to check that my account was OK.
    For security reasons my bank stopped all direct debits from TalkTalk, I did confirm this with TalkTalk, instantly the placed a £4 charge on all of my contracts £12 per month.
    On various occasions I have gone on line to pay my billa with my credit card only to receive a message to say that the page I want is unavailable due to maintenence, because my payment did not go through on that day they charged £10 per contract as a missed payment call, the day after This I had 27 missed calls from Talktalk (I was at work so missed them) all demanding payment.
    I paid the bill early in the morning on the day after the due bill.
    I called the Talktalk call centre as this is the only wa you can contact, there are no email addresses etc on their website, only to be insulted by them by being told that I had not paid the bill on time so they cut me off.
    Within the hour my mobile phone goes dead (the bill has been paid at this time)then more phone calls from India.
    I can't wait until my contracts run out then it is goodbye to talktalk, the do not care for their customers they are only interested in your money, miss a payment by 1 day and you are bombarded by calls from India demanding an instant payment over the phone,, Sorry Talktalk I will not give my credit card details to someone who phoned me over the phone, the caller could be anyone attempting to get your details.

    Very slow.. Having run various speed tests at varying times and days over a 1 month period, they obviously use bandwidth throttling. These types of speeds are reminiscent of the first generation ADSL lines. It's 2016 not 2002.

    I spoke to LORETTA to cancel my contract she was so rude and just laughing with her colleagues at the back.asked me my address 3 times because she was not even listening to me whatever i was saying. She was too busy laughing with her friends. Disgusted with the service. Worse experience.

    when the internet is working it is great,I'd say among the same level as the other providers. however recently there has been issues where the internet would go down for ten hours. we try contacting Talktalk which took us at least an hour or two with the customer service department (offshore) hanging up on us. we decided it was enough and decided to cancel the contract. if they sort out their customer service issues im sure the broadband issues would have been rectified as quick as possible.

    Without a doubt the worst ISP in the UK, perhaps even in the world. Internet practically disappears on weekends, as they massively reduce average service during peak times. I go most of the week without internet, or with extremely slow internet. I have NEVER had a higher download speed than 1Mbps, and when running a speedtest I'm told my internet speed compares globally to the average internet speed in Sub-Saharan Africa. Great job, TalkTalk, I hope you go out of business or at least get a grip on your dated infrastructure, maybe employ some actual helpful customer service, and get your act together! Would advise anyone to avoid it like the plague. *Rant over*

    Worst customer service in the world. AVOID at all costs. Have told me something and charged me different. Have spent over 16 hours on the phone to them trying to get my money back. They have me stressed out to the max. Do not touch!

    Now let me get this one thing straight-Talktalk is unreliable, slow and downright pathetic. I've been stuck in a contract with Talktalk for almost 2 years now and it is truly one of my worst life decisions. I am appalled day after day to come home to speeds of around 6 (maximumim) all the way down to a mere 1.5 mbps connection. Our average is usually around 3 mbps, yes that's megaBITS! I have dealt with our speeds of not even half what was promised for too long now and I strongly recommend nobody makes the same foolish decision I did, by choosing this network which cuts out around 4 times a day. I have dealt with my son being constantly angry at his video games because of bad ping and have even struggled with work deadlines to the point where I have had to take caffeine tablets to stay awake for full nights. It sounds odd, but this pathetic network has lead to serious issues within the household and I honestly cannot wait to replace this outdated junk with BT fibre optic. I will post this same review on every website I come across, as I want others to realise the stress this thing causes, in addition to the poor help we have been given.

    If I could give zero stars I would. The worst customer service ever. I have called a total of 15 times now and used the chat and my problem is still not resolved. I have been promised a price package for my renewal yet they keep charging me more every month and no one will change it. Until I have said look at my notes on my account they try to fob me off and have lied to me trying to charge me more. Each time I have spent a good 40 minutes being passed around and having to explain myself. I can’t believe I’ve tried to renew and don’t bother complaining still no one contacts you!

    Awful customer service / tech support, no ability to limit specific devices access to wifi.

    I tend to change my supplier each year, in last 4 years having been with Virgin, BT and Plusnet. The broadband supply from Talktalk is fine, decent speed and rarely lose service. Two main issues though:

    Unlike BT and Plusnet it is not possible to rename a device connecting to your wifi and then manage its access to wifi. This was a great benefit with BT and Plusnet, it meant that i could turn off access to wifi for my children's devices each night. This alone will mean that i will not continue with Talktalk when my contract ends.

    Awful tech support/customer service. I lost broadband on Saturday morning only restored on Tuesday. The tech support team (I spoke to 4) all follow the same script, each step seeming to be to get you off the phone for a while.
    Call one, day one resolution: "Turn off the modem for half an hour" and phone back if its still not working.

    Call 2, day 2, "attach a microfilter to the line (even though the service has worked for 4 months without a microfilter), I didn't have one so they said they wouldn't do anything else until I had received one in the post (still hasn't arrived 3 days later), rather than wait I went out and bought one, unsurprisingly didn't help.
    Call 3, day 2, unpleasant unhelpful person, kept talking over me, ignored everything I said, resolution 3, find a screwdriver and take the front off the socket to try the microfilter in the test socket, at this point I asked to move to this being a complaint over how my problem was being handled..
    Call 4, complaints team....same checklist for resolution as above, would not do anything until the front of the socket had been removed, I refused as there still no reason to suspect that the socket had suddenly failed with no reason. resolution here to send an engineer 2 days later, threats by phone and text over a £65 fine if not in when engineer called at arranged time.

    Day 4, engineer arrives late. wonders why tech support had been insisting on a filter in the test socket. instead resets the modem, service works again, problem resolved, a few minutes work after 4 days.

    The tech support team can only seem to follow a script a set troubleshooting pathway, not interested in listening to the circumstances or actually thinking about what might be the cause.

    Reliability of Broadband service is poor, outage every few months. Customer service is appalling, no engineer capacity, a week to fix is common, hours spent on phone....these are a last resort

    Customer support is poor and after spending over 2 hours with Customer Support I still can not get on my email. after 4 days on enquiringly about my problem I was told its noted as solved? Talktalk are updating their security and have removed options to change passwords via Myaccount and recovery email options. Disgraceful service and badly organised. 5 days without email to be told they don't charge for email so no compensation for 5 days without email service.

    I wouldn’t recommend this company at all because the broadband was unreliable and keeps on dropping.
    When the contract came to an end I tried to renew it to a new contract with cheaper deal but they declined. I have therefore ordered another company to take over my contract but they called me again to say that they will give a new cheaper deal but I have to cancel the contract first with the other company. So I believed them and cancelled my new contract then was waiting for the better to come back but unfortunately nothing happened. I tried to complain but they said they haven’t promised me anything.
    They are liars and thieves. I can’t believe that a big company like this would use this cheap method to fool people to stay with them.

    I was originally with Tiscali which I had no problems with. I got taken over by TalkTalk. I had an issue with a charge and struggled to even find a number. They refused to refund a wrong charge and when I asked for it in writing I was told that they were recoding the conversation and didn't need to. I was told that they could resend the bill, but I would be charged. I am leaving them!!

    Appalling service. Had problems with both broadband and phone since August. A variety of phone calls and broken promises. Crib sheet answers from the call centre who obviously have no understanding of how the UK works. So bad i put a block on my D/D as i was being over charged for the 3rd time in 2 months. I built my own pcs yet was accused of having faulty equipment. Errors all point back to DNS failure which is of course linked to TalkTalk I'm off for a far better provider! These companies are so complacent as there is little you can do except withhold payments then they are in touch straight away!

    If you are reading this TalkTalk I'm still waiting for your call back you promised 10 days ago! You promised 5 days! Gotta laugh at these numpties!

Nearer the installation date i received a email and a phone call stating that there may be a small delay on getting set u0 due to a problem with openreach and they will get back to me. Installation day came and went with no contact ,managed to get hold of someone the next day and was told my account has been closed for technical reasons and I no longer have a account with them. No compensation or apology and around half hour later I receive a email stating that they couldn't install my broadband as they couldn't get the same home number so cancelled but I can start a new order and get a new home number. Now ordered with BT and have to wait 10 days to get connected, so thanks to TalkTalk I'm without phone or internet. Avoid this company at all costs

    TalkTalk has to be one of the worst internet providers. Highest download speed i ever get is 5mb/s even with added fibre. Do not use this service, look elsewhere. This service provider is a complete joke

    This is not regarding the internet itself myself and my partner rarely have problems with speed or reliability the internet is fine however we get upto ELEVEN calls a day from internation numbers all from talktalk they read the same script everytime but when you ask them anything they get flustered and start reading the script again saying they are recieving data from your internet connection its all a lie we have had no problem with our internet but they call every single week day for three months now!! do not go with talktalk !!! fed up as soon as contract is over we are leaving and going with someone else fmaily members also had same problem they are leaving as well !!

    Absolutely disgusted... was talked into having talk talk. Firstly the engineer turned up and told me “sorry I’ve checked your connections and you cannot be set up today and oh I have not been given a tv box fir you either.. I was also told I’d need to purchase a £200-£300 Ariel too and he said I wouldn’t have been told this at the time, which I wasn’t
    He then left so I tried to contact talk talk - that was a joke eventually got through to some automated robot... I insisted they cancel it all then and there and I refuse to pay for a service I’ve never had. They eventually decide they’ll allow it to be cancelled within 7 days with no charges.

    Did they hell... they didn’t unblock the line so my new provider Sky could not connect then they ceased the cancellation and then charged me. I am now trying to sort this out between them and the new provider sky.

    I have now put in a complaint about their services or lack of and am awaiting a call back - no doubt it will be some automated robot
    Do not be conned into using talk talk they are the worst company I have ever come across. Absolutely disgusting

    i have just signed up with another provider,talktalk has done my head in over every aspect of there sevice.what I don't understand is why they do it.this company need to review there structure or it will be to late.i read all these reviews and can relate to all of them... I just wish I had changed a few years ago.i don't think my issues are over thou,I'm not in contract but just had text to say they have written to me to tell me what I'm losing??? And what I owe??? So looks like I might have to waiste more time.

    the worst company you can get the Wi-Fi speed is terrible when you ring them up they do nothing. they say they have fixed it. but nothing has changed DONT USE THEM

    I am a legacy customer from an earlier Tiscali contract. When Talk Talk took over they said, "either you place your phone business with us or we will increase the cost of your Broadband" by 40%, it turned out. I spend £1000 p.a. on phone so was reluctant to give them the phone biz, faced with threats of this kind. But we kept the BB because we needed the old Tiscali email address which we were sure we'd lose if we moved BB provider. So now after 1.5 years of paying £25 pm for rubbish service, I have now spent 4 months trying to terminate the contract. My theory: they've sold the contract termination part of the business to some call center operator and the staff there will rather die than let a customer go, no doubt all for some peanuts commission for every contract closure they avert. Great business model - going to try it myself. Peace ... not

    Worst decision ever - have spent over a month trying to resolve an issue with this company due to services never actually being set up and them being more than happy to bill me for them - absolute JOKE!
    If you receive a call from them trying to tempt you into joining them... my advice STEER CLEAR!!

    Can't actually rate the broadband speed as I never got connected. Asian customer service were extremely polite and completely incompetent (or the system they use is not fit for purpose!). Spoken to them by phone on many occasions because the router and TV box had not arrived. Each time they said they would send another router and TV box. The TV box did actually get dispatched 3 times - to the wrong address!! a 2nd box was supposed to have been sent (after further phone calls, waiting and being transferred several times) to the correct address but has never arrived. After more than a month of being patient I finally rang the number for cancelling the contract and actually spoke to someone whose 1st language was English. He was sympathetic and did not try to persuade me to stay or resolve the problem but confirmed he could see there were many errors on the account and seemed happy to waive the cancellation fee with an admission that the difficulties had been caused by them. After reading reviews on this site, I am now concerned that I will still keep being chased for payment...and who else to turn to?? This industry truly needs taking by the scruff of the neck and shaking - ALL providers appear to be unable to provide an effective service!!

    I feel I must warn anyone considering changing to TalkTalk that they have to be the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. We spent a month trying to install their equipment. Their support was hopeless & in the end we had to call out one of their engineers, agreeing to pay £40.00 if the problem had been caused by ourselves.

    The engineer came out, spent almost 3 hours getting it to work and agreed it was not our fault, and we would not have to pay the £40.00. Of course TalkTalk then charged us the full £40.00, and possibly the most arrogant people I have ever spoken to denied us a refund.

    slow speed after bt repair 5 weeks ago, no resolution so far and was told last night that my distance from the exchange affects speed and number of connections have increased but my house has not moved in the last 5 weeks and no new house have been built in the last 5 weeks! utter incompetence! but no way for the consumer to rectify.

    Fine until your contract ends they don't warn you and double what you are paying. Make it extremely difficult to speak to someone strangely each time you say you want to end the contract the phone line goes dead. Then when your contract does end they take another direct debit admit you don't owe them money but tell you they won't allow you to request a refund for 7 days and it won't be automatic you have to phone up again and request your money back that you didn't need to pay in the first place.

    This is my rating for moving house and staying with Talktalk!!! As you can see, I do not rate them. I have been waiting over a month to have a connection. We waited for an engineer but had a text to say the account is cancelled. This was on the day the engineer was due. I had to phone up Talktalk to find out why, I was passed to at least five departments none of whom could explain properly. I was put on hold and messed around and the call had to last 1hr 20 mins before I got told that it would be connected at the end of Feb16. Still no guarantee this would be up and running properly. A waste of space and the worst customer service I have ever come across!!!!!

    Slow speed, need to restart router every day up to 2-3 times, very unprofesional customer service, always delays on their job. Plenty of cheap deals but service is very poor, or none at all, you will be left on your own with any technical ploblems. If you are looking for powerful internet and customer service support - this is not the company you should look at.

    I have been a talk talk customer for over 10 years and the decline in service is huge . I decided to switch providers and was basically insulted so I will never be back .Service buffers for a past time although we are paying for so call superfibre.
    It is 0250 so not a lot of people on line and my service has crashed now you know why I have switched.

    Agents in Indian call centre are inadequately trained - they have to keep putting customer on hold to ask , they do not give all information with reference to extra charges, takes at least an hour to talk to agents - I would suggest this is a company that will gradually find the customer will vote with its feet and move to another supplier - I suggest anyone looking for a telephone and broadband package look elsewhere .

    We left talk talk a while ago now due to their rubbish customer service and moved to sky! We then received a phone call from them at 7:15 this morning waking everyone up to as if our broadband was working okay?! Absolutely livid!!!
