Renewed with them 13/4/20 -nothing happened except they increased my bill by £4.95 per month. Impossible to contact them . Went via resolver got calls from 3 different people all said they would sort it as not trace of my renewal even though they sent an order acknoledgement- received 4 emails asking for my details to check my order. Finally said could not find it I even sent copies of ack to them.
Finally called me saying years free amazon prime was for new customers only. Offered me 18 months at £ 6.95 discount because of zoom meetings cannot risk changing at this time but will never deal with them again. Poorest customer service imaginable.

Been with talk talk for 10yrs plus, service was good, then last year we had intermittent service, complained to service department which was like pulling teeth, hours and hours of phone call to Indian call Centre, a total waste of my time, months later no improvement, complained again sent me a new router and it improved for a few month, then back to intermittent service for 3 months.
I couldn’t face phoning India again so moved to BT service which is brilliant, no issues, unfortunately had to pay T/Talk £150 to move providers (for their ineptitude, but worth it to get rid of the stupidity)
I Canceled my direct debit but paid the fee, Talk talk said it was late so they’ve added late payment fees and are now hounding me with more fees and threatening letters.
I know I didn’t need to pay the leaving fee and could wait for the court to agree with the fact they hadn't provided the service & I know I would have won, but I value my time and I think T/talk know that so they keep sending threatening letters.
Take my advice do not use this company, don’t even consider it, you will likely regret it.

We had to engage the cheapest company, as we are in a position where we needed broadband for a couple of months only as we are selling our house. We had to agree to a twelve month contract. Desperate for broadband for serious personal reasons. Our day has finally arrived. Yippe. Whilst they quote as being connected anytime today until midnight, I received an email to my 4G phone stating we were up and running from 13.45. Called customer services who I couldn't understand save that we would be connected by midnight. Just saying, don't hold your breath folks. Very disappointing indeed. It is 21.09. Still time I suppose....

The service I reveived from talk talk was the worse I ever had. I had to phone then 7 times over a period of 2 days in order to fix my broadband and they have not done so. I spoke to different representatives including managers and all the information I was given from one person to the other was different. The communication is very poor. All they do is ask you to wait 24 hours on daily basis which ended up so far to 96 hours with the result of not yet solving the problem. It's unbelievable how poor the service towards their customers is.

Stay away from talktalk, they throttle down speed after cooling off period

Unbelievable I signed up for 65mb it was fine within cooling off period as soon as cooling off period is over they throttled my speed down to single figure, i am IT professional i know how its done on servers and on switches, it’s outrageous I can’t even open a page, most pages a chached they will only show text no images because its not loading real time. Talk talk show some honestly when you make some promises learn to at least respect yourself, you are spitting on your own face by doing these shady trick, this is load balancing , why they do it? It’s because they have two shady sides, one to put more and more contracts, by making all sort of promises, then cooling off period, lastly a small bandwidth with huge number of customers increasing so that where their engineers are sitting there and trying to balance load, they can throttle speed it takes one command and no matter what you do, you will only get tiny amount of bytes, you call their customers service they will treat you like a fool, ask you to carry of stupid things, i guess its first line obviously they aren’t ccna or mcse etc they are just doing what they are told, i was with Vodaphone they do something’s sometimes but in 2 years it was perfectly stable most of the time. But this one in just two months, I can’t believe. I will report this to ombudsman, stay away from this company

I wish I could give no stars.
I never usually complain, but after 4 months of no internet and numerous expensive phone calls, and having to take annual leave from work for engineers to come to investigate the problem for them not to turn up, I am fed up!!
PLEASE DONT CHOOSE TALK TALK AS YOUR PROVIDER, they are appalling

In general, our experience with TalkTalk has been very poor. The connection has been intermittent at best, disappearing at least once almost every day, and the router is seemingly scarcely able to send a signal more than a few feet. On top of this, we received confirmation that we'd be paying £20.70 for eighteen months, only to then be charged four different amounts (none of them £20.70) in four months. We were then told that the price has gone up to £25.20, and that we were warned of this in an email to all customers (which we mysteriously never received). We now have no option to cancel without paying over £200 for the privilege, and are stuck paying much more than we agreed to or expected to pay. In summary, our TalkTalk experience started disappointingly before descending into a living nightmare. I'd advice anyone looking for broadband to avoid this company at all costs.

They are phoning me night and day to try and get me to take their broadband. Keep telling them I am happy with who I am with but they are not listening. Keep blocking them but they keep using different numbers. I hate to think how they treat you once you have a contract with them!

I am very disappointed by their customer service. We have jad issues after the strong wind with the cable, probably is broken somewhere or something like that, and we have reported the issues... Now 2 days have passed and still is not fixed,... and when today my husband called them they dared to say that they can not give us any details as the account number (and our full details) are not matching, so they can not fix the issues and make our Internet work or give us details. You would even wonder how on earth has never crossed through their minds to update our phone number to the account?!????????!!!!! But they knew exactly how NOT TO FIX yet the issues!!!! We say thank you to them!!!

Shocking. I have been with them since july 2019. I am having to get in touch most months to get internet working again. This is such a waste of my time. I rely on internet for work and am sick and tierd of the poor reliability.

The internet has cut out twice within the last two weeks overnight. I have had to use their chat function to get it back running again. They then spent an hour and a half running tests to try amd fix issue. Nothing was sorted was told to monitor over 48 hours.

I change provider at end of every contract and have used nearly all of them. This is the worst level of service I have experienced to date. Truely awful.

Worst company ever. Slow internet keeps dropping and constant outages. Customer service / technical department just keep Tring to run speed test and tell you they'll do something to improve but never do. After 28 days I'm legally allowed to leave without penalties which I am doing and going back to sky who are not actually costing me much more.

Only joined them 3 weeks ago and all I can say is regret. The max speed of their fibre optic is 27 MB. There are times I have had no broadband, for hours in fact. Very disrupting. I will definitely not continue with them.

Been with talktalk for years so was happy with the offer of now tv cinema offer of £5 a month. For grandchildren over xmas. However! 10 days and still no talktalk, chatted to customer services 3 times to sort out. Gone past the will be sorted in 5 to 7 days and the latest response? It will be sorted when its sorted and we'll let you know when that is. Will be leaving when contract up as customer service is pathetic.

Been with Talk Talk for quite a while now, but these guys started to be shockingly bad. Called technical support as my network name changed to some Tiscali LTD by itself, thus my antivirus gone berserk as saying that it is public network. my outlook stoped, can't get in to my bank without them ringing me and saying that someone is trying to hack in to my online banking etc. called Talk Talk, spend 1hr 46 min on the phone and guess what, they have no clue, I need to contact my computer manufacturer to resolve this. Now I am in process in transferring my account to another person, and guess what, 5 different people, and it is 5 different answers and now the guy that wanted to take over declined Talk Talk as it is impossible to talk to them. What a joke. Want to add service to existing account, ok take another 18 months contract. Talk Talk cmon sort it out!!!

I attempted to switch to Talk Talk from Sky as their services were £20 a month cheaper. It seemed too good to be true...and it was.

Signing up seemed fine, I asked for 2 tv boxes, BT & Sky Sports, agreed installation date for the TV and a switch date for the broadband/phone line, exactly what I had with Sky but minus a bunch of channels I don't actually watch.

A few days later I got a txt from yodel saying my equipment was due to be delivered on the Thursday that week. I waited in all day Thursday no one came, I got a txt saying they'd attempted to deliver and had left a card. I called and was told I had to use a web chat...After an half an hour of talking to the web agent they arranged for another delivery the next day. This time I was hot on them, regularly checked my tracking number following the sat nav they provided. I could see I was next and the driver was in the housing estate opposite ours, approx 400 or 500 yards away. Suddenly I get another notification saying they'd attempted to deliver! Shocking. Again I went through to an agent, after an hour I was told the only thing I could do was to drive to Farnborough (approx 25 miles from my house) to collect the router. I then spoke to talk talk to see if there was any other way they could get the router to me as a 50 mile round trip was insane. I was told they couldn't they'd log the service I'd received from Yodel. So reluctantly as I was saving £20 a drop to Farnborough and got the router.

10 days later my tv services were due to go live, to give them some credit they sent me loads of txts reminding me and letting me know what time the engineer was to come. Finally he arrives, with no TV equipment. He was surprised I hadn't been sent it already. After about 2 mins he worked out even if I had the equipment he couldn't install it as I live in a block of flats with only 1 access point to the Ariel...Something no one had every mentioned to me before. I wouldn't have signed up if I knew I couldn't have a 2nd box.

So I immediately called up and cancelled. I was told it'd be 2 and half weeks before they could switch the broadband back to sky.

Then this weekend after all of that they've sent me a bill including installation charges and paying in advance for services I've cancelled already. I've just spent 40 mins arguing with their agents on the phone they won't cancel the payment in advance I have to call them back next month for a refund....They have 'agreed' to cancel the installation charge...They want to bill me though for the broadband despite the appalling service they have provided.

Shocking, I guess you get what you pay for. Anyone thinking of switching from Sky/Virgin/BT. I'd recommend staying put, Talk Talk might be cheaper but there is a reason for it....

Using their webmail a joke as frequently not accessible due to talktalk difficulies or 'planned maintenance' which lasts for hours. Looking forward to end of contract so can leave company

Where to start? Firstly, if you don't have the stomach for a long review may I just advise against ever using Talk Talk. If you are still reading, I hope you find this useful, I think it could well become a comedy sketch.
In June, I got a cold call after stupidly entering my details for a broadband switching service. The call went well, Talk Talk was suggested and their full fibre 500 product was ordered. Full credit check done and seemed good. A got all the emails welcoming me, setting up my account, direct debit confirmation, then a few weeks later, just before the planned install, the message 'please call, there's an error with your order. I called, the person was sorry, and said they can't see why it was cancelled. Oh well, I thought, just a glitch, I took their offer to reorder directly with Talk Talk, what could possibly go wrong. Again I recieved all the welcome emails etc. Then on the instal day, nothing, so I called TT, the guy said he was very sorry but the order had been cancelled. At this point I was rattled, he couldn't tell me why, but offered to reorder. I said he would need to cancel the footprint on my credit report, he said he couldn't, I said get your finance dept to do it, he said they don't have a finance dept, interesting for a large company. I said I would reorder, why I put myself through this again I cant tell you. But an hour later, the fateful words, oh dear, it won't accept the order because it says the emails already been used. I said, amazing really as I've used my email to TRY and order twice before, undeterred I gave him another email address. Luckily that solved the problem, I have to say repeating every single word I said phonetically for an hour and very slowly was getting very tedious, but I was up for the challenge by now. The order was placed, the direct debit set up, emails started flying into my inbox, I was full of anticipation for the 24th August, I couldn't wait, I was bursting with excitement. On the 8th August a text appeared, I recognised the message instantly, there was an error with my order. I duly called the number on the text. The person in Order Management didn't have the right access to help me, so placed a request for a callback from customer services. That call came today, they couldn't help me because they were from Sales, only customer services can help.me find out whats going on, but in the meantime I was offered the prospect of re ordering, I declined, I was getting close to finding out what was going on and I had to know. She put me through to customer services, and hour later someone answered. They took me through security, again, I'm getting good at repeating my name, postcode, mobile number, address, but then the final question stumped me, whats my Talk Talk landline number, must admit for a second I had to think very hard, but finally told her that IM NOT A CUSTOMER yet and I haven't ordered a landline with them, but I'd passed all other checks, not good enough, I failed security, and then was told I'd come through to the wrong customer team. Oh how I laughed. She put me through but warned me that there would be security questions I needed to answer, I was ready! After another hour of hearing of all the things I could do as a Talk Talk customer with online chat and realising I couldn't do that because I don't have an account, I hung on in hope. Finally a woman answered, sounded like she'd had a bad day already, I went through security with a breeze, even i was impressed, I then explained the problem, to be fair, she didn't waste any time telling me she can't help, but I pressed her saying her colleagues had a lot of faith in her, she went to her line manager and checked on the system, the result was that my order had indeed been cancelled, but only the Sales team can tell me why. I explained its taken 2 months to attempt to become a talk talk customer, and that none of the talk talk teams can help me, no one has the right level of access, but they all think the other teams do, thats incorrect for starters, they all have limited access. She offered to reorder for me, I briefly explained that wasn't going to happen and then ranted about talk talks ineptitude, to be fair she didnt interrupt me, but it felt like she wasn't listening, I suggested she take all my recorded calls and play them back to the management to see if they can save their embarrassment in future. I've no idea whether she did but Talk Talk are simply the worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Stay clear, and if you're a customer, good luck, you'll need it. Im off to try and get a deal from BT, let's hope the journey is a little less stressful.

Where do i even start! Firstly i set up my broadband with talk talk in april 2017, for the first few weeks it was running very slow but didnt think much off it, i rang and explained and the said it was the area, aswell as this i was having 2 or 3 payments of 20 took out my bank every money wen my bill was only 20. a few months later i decided to change to sky, i had a letter off talk talk stating i owed £275 as a early leaving fee. I ramg amd explained my reason for leaving and all they said was id either have to pay the fine or stay with them and not pay it, as a single parent with a 6 week old baby i couldnt possibly pay that fine so i had no choice but to stay, a few weeks later i rang again to request someone come out ans sort the slow signal they wanted a further £65 to send someone out. So now im stuck with rubbish internet and paying 20 a month for somthing i can bearly use. I regret ever gping with talk talk as now i cannot leave

Talk Talk are honestly one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. All in all we have waited three months just to even get them to install a cable for broadband in our flat, they then inform us that they can't provide the correct broadband for us. They have royally messed us about for months without any compensation or refund. the communication is utterly dreadful. I rarely review anything but I have been furious with this time consuming experience that has resulting in nothing. DO NOT USE THEM. for your own sanity.

I have read all of the other reviews and agree that they are all correct. I can't believe that TalkTalk is still in business. The broadband is terrible.Their customer service is customer dis-service. Never been so frustrated. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE stay well clear. I was going to go into detail but find it too stressful. STEER CLEAR FOR GOODNESS SAKE. I have been a customer services manager and just can't believe the abysmal treatment that they give to their paying customers. Nothing but false promises and lies. I am disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!

constantly unreliable, and was lured-in by a lie that I'd get a 100 pound love to shop voucher - I've even spoken to management over the phone about it and it still hasn't arrived - almost six months now...

If you take a broadband deal out with a gift voucher assigned to the deal you may not get it for no fault of your own. I was promised a £75 gift voucher within 90 days with did not transpire and when you ring up you get no satisfaction what so ever. Be aware!!!

I advice people to never go with talk talk as the customer service is rubbish, they lie about your account and over charge you for thing you don't use. The board band never has connection which means you can't use your tv boosts. I don't rate them at all

Woeful company, terrible service. I will never use TalkTalk again! I have never been able to get through to customer services, and I have been left on hold for up to 3 hours before. Please, don't ever use this provider.

6 months with them. Major speed and connectivity problems from the start. I've lost count of the number of times I have phoned them and been through the same telephone/remote troubleshooting process. 3 engineer visits as well but problem continues. I went through to cancellation but they convinced me to let them have another go at foxing. Last engineer visit of the three mentioned above was 11 days ago. I've heard nothing more. I therefore need to ring them again and go through the same me menu options and tedious question answering before I can get to speak to someone. I'm absolutely sick of receiving apologies and platitudes but no meaningful progress solving my problems. It is cheap but the old adage really does apply - you get what you pay for. If you can afford an extra few quid a month go elsewhere, anywhere - PLEASE DO NOT GO TO TALK TALK.

Avoid. Service is unreliable with frequent long broadband outages, and forget trying to talk to anyone. Customer service is the worst I have experienced from any company. Be prepared to spend an hour on hold to get through to someone who barely speaks English, with no product knowledge whatsoever.

    Avoid!! Unreliable Broadband Connection

Internet continually down, paying for services not provided and locked in a contract unless you pay extortionate breakage fees to leave early, customer services in India call centre useless. Avoid signup to a more reliable service provider.

Cheap for a reason. Stuck with them for three years and was fine when the system worked but if there was a fault it went on for days with life-wasting time spent going through the same problem with very polite operatives with not a technical clue to their names. They lost my emails, couldn't retrieve them, couldn't find them and dropped my internet which involved re-booting the router too many times. I finally gave them up and they told me for two days there was a fault when they'd actually cancelled my service - a case of left and right hands not even on the same body......You definitely get what you pay for and I wouldn't bother with TT.
