Probably the worst broadband company around, making no effort to resolve issues or simply lying about connectivity problems. SuperSlow service from the start and the worst customer services I have ever in 30 years had the misfortune to deal with. I have a quicker service over my mobile phone- going to BT or Sky asap and will never deal with these people again. Would never use again or recommend. Average Speed Test Speed 0.52Mbps measured daily over last 96 days and upoad would be quicker with an old 28.8k dialup model.

Internet went off. Tried unplugging and resetting. Rang Talk Talk help line. They fixed it within seconds of my phone call. Very impressed.

I signed upto talktalk around June 2016, this provider is by far the worst on the market. Connection forever dropped out, Online gaming was unbareable.
If you want to speak to a customer services rep there god knows where and dont understand what your saying..
SHOCKING.. If you go with talktalk you need your head testing.

Following a bereavement in the family we had the unfortunate pleasure of contacting so called customer support to cancel and have never been so repulsed in my life, nightmare.
Repugnant, ignorant, horrible b******s in no particular order.

Got a phone call this morning from a talktalk salesman who set me up with a broadband package but after reading the reviews decided to cancel(should have read them first) I was on the phone for an hour and 15 mins and did not get through. I had to use a mobile and the call cost over £40. When I did get through they said they were closed so I have sent them an email. How can you cancel an order if they dont reply? Not sure if they will email me back so beware of this company.

If my broadband works well why am I giving only two stars for satisfaction? Well, they cannot make my phone ring when someone calls me. Sometimes it rings and sometimes it doesn't. They have checked the line 3 times and sent out an Openreach engineer twice. The result is always the same, the line is fine but there is a fault with the Talk Talk equipment in the exchange. For some reason they will not go to the exchange to sort out their equipment. I have spent ages on the phone to them and today said that I considered they are not fulfilling their part of the contract, simply to make my phone ring when someone calls me. They said they gave themselves 28 days to repair any fault and when I told them that time is up next Wednesday they said that their records show that the fault had been fixed and this is a new one. The date they are using is when I reported the fault for the second time. Our neighbours had a fault with their Talk Talk service and they told him to take the cover off the socket in the hall. He is not very technically inclined and his wife found him taking the cover off the mains socket. Fortunately she stopped him in time but the result could have been tragic. Never be tempted to go with them even if they offer a service for £1 a month.

A year ago we were advised to go with Talk Talk for our internet. The wifi was awful, slow and unreliable and the customer service team are incomprehensible. At the end of our service, we were set on leaving the company however were talked into the Fibre Broadband at a lower cost as they obviously knew how terrible their internet service is. Now after being roped into another year long contract with Talk Talk they helpfully have just told us that there is actually no service to our apartment, and that we will need to wait another further 7 day for our internet to be switched on. Not to mention the 24-48hours after we've been connected for our new box to actually arrive. When trying to sort this out over the phone, I was passed through 3-4 different people, all of which I could not understand fully making things very difficult. If you want ease and tranquility when it comes to the set up and service of your internet, I'd recommend not using Talk Talk at all cost. Terrible service, Terrible internet.

I signed up with Talktalk in January 2015 and can honestly say I never had a problem with them. On 3 occasions the line/broadband went down (2 of these caused by BT Openreach) each time the faults were dealt with fairly quickly. Now the price is going up at the end of my contract, so I am looking to get a new provider with a faster speed. However, having read reviews on other providers I may just stay where I am. (If it aint broke then don't fix it)

The Internet is always going down for one reason or another. The service is via City Fibre. I am now on my fourth router from Talktalk and that does not work. The support team are always very nice and generally I have service again after several hours or days but then it goes wrong again.

Useless company, useless customer service. Wait hours on phone to speak to customer services, constantly being transferred to other departments that don't answer at all, or unable to find out why there is no internet or when it will be reconnected. Like so many other reviews, avoid with a barge pole.

Customer service is outrageous. To cancel our never used account took 1,5 hours on the phone cause we kept being transferred to someone who could cancel it but it just ended up being another salesperson trying to make us keep the account. After cancelletion they are still charging us even though the router has literally NEVER been plugged in and is still just sitting in the box it came in whilst we wait for them to send another box to send it back in. When we phone to confront them about ongoing wrong payment they just keep hanging up. Absolutely insane. Spare yourself pain and never go for this company.

Poor broadband and even worst customer service, to get a late payment fee removed i was passed to 4 different staff/depts and mgrs and spent I over 2 hours on phone, by the end I was so drained, upset and unhappy about the poor outcome and service. Ofcom really needs to look at this poor company

Prepare for your life to become a living hell if you take out a full fibre installation, missed appointments lost routers faulty equipment, customer services no knowledge technical skills or desire to solve customers problems,you will waste hours and days of your life,waiting for untrained so called engineers to come who don't bother,spend hours on the phone texting live chat being misled and lied to,if you dont want internet connection for weeks on end then join talktalk

Don't choose this company. Their customer care is atrocious. I was with AOL until they sold to,this company. They put me with Fleur , whoever they are...no one ever contacted me to tell me of this and I finally left and went with BT. NEver having been one second late with any bill payment to anyone they now, one year later, say I broke a non existent contract wit them and I owe them £240! I never had a contract and they will.not take that on board. I hate this vile company.

The worst provider I have encountered. I switched to save money but bitterly regret this now. I'm on the 37GB package but receive speeds ranging from 0.5MB to 3MB. It also disconnects regularly. The support is a messenger service but after several hours talking to 3 different agents I was no closer to getting anything fixed. Same basic questions read off a script, no real help offered, and each conversation ended with them cutting me off. They clearly talk to several people at a time as massive delays between answers and asked me questions I had already answered and gave me wrong advice based on my answers. Totally useless, please avoid. Luckily they haven't taken my 1st payment yet so that will be cancelled before they do.

Like someone before me said - talk talk deserves no stars. Telephone line modems 15 years ago were more reliable and faster than this piece of crap. My connection is working all the time apart from some of yours...but it is "working" if you know what i mean. I always checking ping by -tracert command which is best way to see what is accualy happening. Almost everytime tho, i see connection to router - ping like 500 to 1000 (should be 1) so at the end ping is something about 2100-3000 (my record is accualy 7100). Even if i have ping "1" to router(which is reeeeaaaaaaly rare) it tends to jump to 300 with no reason. Usually i cant even browse sites, takes ages to view even simple pictures from auction on ebay and watching movies in lowest quality on youtube is something that i can only dream about...I can describe this service in 3 simple words: FRUSTRATION, INCOMPETENCE, WORST THING SOMEONE EVER MADE (well this is accualy 7 words but you get the point right?). Everybody - keep away from talktalk. Someone should do something about it, because it is legal cheating to people.

I would advise anybody against going with talktalk! I switched to talktalk and was supposed to be on exactly the same package as my previous supplier, 4 months into the contract my tv channels go off and i find i am still being charged by sky. I tell talktalk and they remove package so i now have tv with sky and broadband with talktalk , not only have they given me a new 18 month contact but are charging my 27.00 a month for normal broadband, when i was paying for super fast unlimited with previous supplier! They say I can not get out of the contract and am stuck with being over charged for a service i didnt order!!!!

If I could give 0 I would,told me my line would only support 25 meg , went to BT before contract finished and bang, 50 meg on a 53 meg connection, Indian customer service, rubbish.JUst avoid at all costs

Although their speed is about the same as Sky and BT both my previous suppliers it now buffers a lot more, drops out a lot more and takes a long time to load pages. I am using no more than before when on sky but it is so much slower. They say it is hitting target speed so why am I having these problems.

TalkTalk's new-look mail is not fit for purpose. Yet again I'm frequently unable to log on and when I finally get on to the page, loading is so slow as to be useless. I've tried to access the trash section repeatedly (to uncheck an inadvertent deletion) and the trash box refuses to appear. When I try to send an email I invariably lose the connection. I've been very patient with this company (helpline is rubbish), but enough is enough and I'm going to switch to another provider - surely nobody else can be as bad!

I have had my problems with this company and almost left last year. May times I have threatened to leave but being 64 I don't like change and am scared to start again with all the hassle of it. Many of my friends and family told me to leave but I have got to say that every time I have rang them with a problem they have been very good to me. Tonight I had a problem... They were going to charge me for cancelling my contract as I have changed it to fibre broadband. A consultant named Denzer actually spoke to her manager and got that charge wiped off. Personally if you get frustrated but then speak to someone who 'speaks English' it helps a lot. I am not racist but hey ! Sometimes I have given up because I can't understand what they are saying. This causes so many bloody problems for me in the past for me. I know that many of you have had so many problems but I can honestly say that if you 'kick off' and threaten to leave they are very good.

Very slow fibre broadband, it's almost as slow as my dial up connection from the 90's the only way to contact customer services is a telephone call to India, not recommended at all!

I was delighted to get away from TalkTalk.
Like any utility provider, when the service is working they are fine. As soon as there is problems the experience is terrible, Customer Service is awful. Offshored, poorly trained, long queues. My parents were also on talk talk and a request to disconnect was ignored after hours on the phone. Every since they have pursued extra charges that only became levied through their own failure to act. I would never subscribe to talktalk again.

absolutely the worst company i have ever had to deal with for customer service. took a month after 'go-live date' to even get broadband working. first iof all i waited a week for them to get back to me, they didnt because they decided there was no failt and closed the call without telling me. around 15 phone calls and many hours to various idiots, starting again from the beginning as they seem to have no knowledge of faults. when they had finally 'investigated' and
texted me to say i need to call them to book an engineer, i called and was told they could not book one because they couldnt see that message on the system. tried again a few days later, helpful chap took three possible dates i would be in for an engineer to visit. engineer did not visit. no contact
until i get more texts saying i need to ring to book an engineer...... Avoid this company at all costs.

worst customer service of any company, ever, took 6 weeks to even get a 'service'. was charged for this despite being told i wouldnt be.
router is useless. needs to be turned off and on at least once a day, do not use talk talk if you want to use for sky sports etc
wifi constantly loses connection if you are more than 3 feet away
1 star is too many, should be -5 all round. 2 stars for broadband speed when it actually works though.

Terrible service, can't wait to get away from Talk Talk.
We lost services on more than one occasion because we used the phone above their monthly limit - not one set by us. We were on direct debit but they would block all services and they weren't automatically returned.
Contacting them is torture. Multi-level menus, then when you finally speak to someone they sell and block you cancelling at every point.

Please, if you value good customer service as well as your own time and sanity, do not give your business to talk talk. I joined them 6 months ago after 7 years with Sky, attracted by their almost too good to be true introductory prices (turns out they were!) and have had nothing but constant battles with them in that time due to the WiFi not working intermittently on a day to day basis. They suggested I pay more for their faster broadband but please note, this isn’t a speed issue I’ve been having, it’s a WiFi not working at all issue. They then offered to fix the fault over the phone, which worked for about a week before it broke again (I’ve done this around 6 times now). Finally they offered to send an engineer who was due to arrive today and guess what? He didn’t turn up. I’ve now been on the phone to them for an hour trying to cancel my contract without having to pay the cancellation fee given that they have broken the contract by not providing the service promised. No-one on the phone seems to be all that bothered and I’ve been told I’ll need to speak to 3 separate people in order to cancel the contract due to the structure of their organisation. I’m currently on hold waiting for the third and final person... who knows when they’ll answer. I can foresee an ongoing battle to waive the £51 cancellation fee but regardless, I will be cancelling with them today and I guess heading back to sky with my tail between my legs... if you’re considering them, my strong advice is to stop now. Sky/BT all the others probably have their faults too but at least they have some semblance of good customer service and in my experience, are willing to handle complaints quickly and efficiently. You won’t get that with Talk Talk.
Update: after 48 minutes they hung up on me. Called again to try to cancel and as I was being ‘transferred to a manager’ they hung up again. Interesting ploy to make it impossible for you to cancel. I guess I’ll just have to cancel the DD.

Absolutely SHOCKING customer service. Just avoid like the plague.
It seems I’ve had the same experience as many on here and OH how I wish I’d read these reviews before engaging with these incompetent charlatans!
I ordered future fibre.
I rang up to ask where is my installation to be told they cancelled my order!
So I reinstated it.
I then had to ring up again to ask where my installation was only to be told AGAIN they had cancelled my order!
I stupidly reinstated it.
I then had to ring up AGAIN to ask where my installation was only to be told AGAIN!!!!!! they had cancelled my order! For a 3rd time! And it was written on my account’s notes that I had reinstated it….but they had just done nothing!!!!!!!!
All of this with over an hour of combined sitting on hold.
I just can’t believe how bad they have been!

The worst.
Reading the reviews mybexperience mimicks many complaints. Super low speed fequently. Peak times shut out. Dropping connection making work impossible. Cost the company over 7'000 in lost time since summer. Inneficient customer service, attempts to extract monies without giving value. Inherited the connection and they never sent the engineers for faults. Legal action seems inevitable. Bad! :(

I have Broadband, telephone, and a TV set top box. with TalkTalk I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve an issue with my set top box and now it appears that as they could not contact me they just close the issue so we go round and round without anything being resolved. Customer services sucks I wish I had looked at the reviews before signing up with them as service is not as described in there adverts. Roll on end of contract.
