    Do not go to Talk Talk. Shocking company and customer service is appalling. Had almost one year of no internet, being called telling me that they are special managers and not to phone talk talk because if I do then will have to go all the way back to the beginning but they will resolve my problem. Hounded three times a day saying they are dealing with my problem and not to call talk talk. Then, they disappear, eventually I had to contact them only to be told that I hadn't been in touch and everything is ok. To top it all I've neared the end of my contract and was told to call them a week before. Last night was told it was thirty days, and would I not want to put another member of my family on my bill, I asked did she understand English, I want to cancel my contract, again why not put someone else on the bill, again I live on my own my partner passed away .... Oh I'm sorry to hear that, is there no one else who could take over. Where are they coming from? I'm looking forward to going back to Virgin. Was also told to hold for one minute, kept me waiting for 20 minutes, they kept checking to see if I was still there but didn't speak then cut me off. Still no wiser if they have actually started my 30 days notice. I despise them.

    By far the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Terrible, service, even worse customer service. I wanted to give them no stars, but have accidentally given them 1. DON'T SIGN UP WITH THEM! DON@T DO IT! You will regret it....

    If you're looking for a cheap, slow, broadband service, that crashes at least once a day, then this is the broadband for you! If not, then choose literally any other broadband provider. It's a good indicator of how poor a service is when £5 a month feels like a rip-off.

    The WORST internet in terms of speed and reliability that I have ever had and the most ABYSMAL customer service I have ever experienced. I moved out of my shared house and completed and sent their change of ownership form THREE times. They rejected the form each time saying it hadnt been completed properly when it had. They didnt tell me so I got the bill a month later each time. In the end I just phoned up to cancel and wished my old housemates good luck. The phone number I had to phone to cancel kept cutting out, I can only assume they made the mistake of relying on their own useless phone/internet service. So rude, so unhelpful, such a bad service. An awful company that should be reported to the ombudsman. Never again. GRRRR.

    Never get the quoted speed.... so upgraded to fibre and even that doesn't match what I should be getting
    Customer service is an absolute joke, don't know how to help, can never answer ur question cos they don't have a clue what your talking about and always want to pass u on to someone else! I've had a couple of bills shoot up for no reason at all and had to fight with them to get it lowered to what it should be! I call mobile team to speak about my sim only plan and they tell me they can't help that I then need to contact customer service to speak about my account! I was told 4 weeks ago I'd get a call back about a reimbursement I was to relieve and surprise surprise.... no one's called and when u call them I get told someone will contact me! Only thing they do quick enough is take your money! I'm not racist but why isn't there an English call centre? I keep getting told that I can't be understood! Overall talk talk is a joke in every department and I highly advise anyone thinking about joining them to avoid and go elsewhere

    Absolutely appalling. At least 2 or 3 times a day I only get "restricted" access for the broadband which really means not working at all. I wish I had never subscribe to their TV,Broadband and phone package. the TV box has to be reset almost every night or it does not allow me to watch on demand or record, or it's so pixelated that i cannot watch it. My phone line has gone down twice in 2 months. Choosing Talktalk was one of the worst mistakes

    They promise the lot but they don't provide.
    I moved home and was given a date for the connection to be active in the new address.
    Of course it wasn't and after my own expenses in contacting them and after many promises that the issue would be solved I was still waiting for the services to be provided. Now, after 20 days of waiting and being lied that their technical services team would contact me I researched a new service provider that solved the issue in 2 days (that's because I wasn't at home at the first contact) and prepared the services to be connected at a better deal package.
    Now talk talk wants me to pay a fee for leaving them

    its impossible to email anyone. If they don't like your issue they disconnect after 2 minutes. They break verbal and written contracts and owe us money. We are still waiting to be reimbursed for a router they promised us and then charged us for an engineer to fit.

    DON'T EVER GO WITH TALK TALK. THEY ARE HARASSING US TRYING TO MAKE US PAY MONEY WE DON'T OWE. We moved house recently, cancelled our service and they are threatening us with debt collectors, we paid our bill in full and they are trying to make us pay for a month (plus charges) AFTER we left them. They are crooks! It costs a fortune to get through to the customer service guys, who unfortunately are really unhelpful and generally speak/understand very limited English. Stay away!!

    Got to be the worst customer service available. Rang tonight as emails had not been available for 2 days with message showing essential maintenace was being carried out, I was informed there had been problem for 2 days they were trying to repair. I suggested it would have been better if they had informed the customers of the problem rather than saying it was just maintenance and the lovely lady hung up. Apart from that the email system regularly does not work and seems to be getting worse. Keep up the good work Talk Talk.

    This is without doubt the worst Company I have ever dealt with. When trying to log on I regularly get the message unable to connect to specified server please check your settings, which have never changed. This happens so many times I give up. When it does connect, and I don't get that message, it says loading please wait. So I wait , and wait, and wait and it never loads. I also get the message that I've been using the wrong log in details, which I haven't, then its suspended for an hour before I can try again. It's absolute garbage. Trying to resolve the issues with Talktalk is a waste of time. Some while ago they changed the server an never told me so I didn't know I couldn't log on the server I was using and it took a week to sort out and they never told me that either. It will suddenly close when writing emails and despite giving the option to save as a draft message it doesn't and shuts down so the email is lost. At times it doesn't show that it has closed so you don't know there are new messages. It also closes at irregular intervals so you never know when it is going to close down and once it has the turmoil of logging on starts over again. I'm also sure that Talktalk is responsible for many failures on my computer. I wish there was one good thing I could say about Talktalk but there isn't it's a dreadful service and a dreadful Company.

    If you are thinking of going with TalkTalk - I'll give you one word of advice:DON'T.

    The customer service - before and after installation of the service - is really the worst possible. The web site is a nightmare to navigate, the web chat a very bad joke and calls to customer services end up in South Africa or India where the staff have very poor command of English and even less understanding of technical problems.

    Broadband speed is running at about 3MB instead of the 10-14 projected. Getting this attended to is ending up with my tearing my hair out.

    Cancelled my mobile contract as soon I could byt am still receiving bills even though TalkTalk confirmed weeks ago the account was closed. (And that was after no service on the mobile line for two weeks).

    To cap it all, even though this joke of an organisation whose systems are so bad that hackers strolled in and stole millions of mobile data records including mine which in turn meant I had to waste time ensuring my bank account was secure, have just sent through an email to say they are putting up prices. If there's an organisation in my opinion that thoroughly deserves to go bust it's TalkTalk.

    My line is still out of action having first reported the fault 11 days ago. Their customer services are a waste of time (literally). I have received 29 emails, have made 8 phone calls, have been asked to do the same line test 3 times and, to date, I still do not have an appointment for Openreach to fix the problem. I wouldn't touch them again with a bargepole. As far as Broadband is concerned I was asked by TalkTalk if I wished to switch to fibre but I declined, I only use it for leisure, and since then it seems to be getting slower. I hope they are not using the tactic of slowing it to get people to switch to fibre.

    I was delighted to get away from TalkTalk.
    Like any utility provider, when the service is working they are fine. As soon as there is problems the experience is terrible, Customer Service is awful. Offshored, poorly trained, long queues. My parents were also on talk talk and a request to disconnect was ignored after hours on the phone. Every since they have pursued extra charges that only became levied through their own failure to act. I would never subscribe to talktalk again.

    Worst company I have ever had the displeasure to use, stupidly signed for another year of broadband after discounts and promises of mass improvements, lies and more lies, this company only got worse!!, I have gone out of my way to stop people signing up with them, thank god I am back with bt, yes it costs but broadband is fantastic and customer service also, but please choose anyone but these jerks!!!!!

    It would be impossible for Talk Talk to get anything else wrong. This company is an utter shambles!! I just feel sorry for the customer service staff in the Phillipines! This company needs investigating pretty swiftly as they are doing us a huge disservice!

    Unbelievably bad!I cancelled my talk talk account over a month ago and still getting charged for the service! I phoned customer service and they were really unhelpful and then I get put through to the customer service manager who you think would put things right and she didn't! I'll never recommend talk talk to anyone, whatever you do stay well clear of them. All they want is more of your money and even thats not enough.

    Stay away. My net has been down for 6 days and everyday on the phone they tell me it will be fixed today. The customer service is total half-assed clowns. Needless to say my custom is going elsewhere. Good riddance.

    Less than 1Mb speed on fibre; just lost over 2 hours on phonecall to their call centre during which I was passed from person to person to give the same details. no solution offered. upon complaining I was told was told "we have 4.5 million customers so you don't matter". yet they are still trying to keep me locked in to the contract hopeless. disgraceful. disgusting

    I've just changed to Windows 10 and consequently lost my usual login to Talktalk. Having eventually logged in to Webmail I find the talktalk site is covered in ads obliterating most of the screen making it almost impossible to open emails etc

    the router would cut out every few hours and not reconnect. you have to be there to reset it making it useless for hive home thermostat. Then the router stopped completely. customer service pass you from one person to the next each time you have to give details and explain all over again. i spent an hour with 4 different people then they hung up. so bad i emailed a new company and they switched for me to save the hassle

    Utterly, dreadfully awful - incompetent to the point of dishonesty, clueless script reading support with zero technical knowledge. Avoid this ISP. Also it's impossible to leave cleanly. I've had BT Infinity for 3 months but am still being charged for my old (thrice cancelled) TalkTalk service (plus penalties for cancelling the DD) 'yes you have cancelled but BT did not follow migration procedure so your service is still being provided' - I've spent hours in chat and on the phone but no-one can explain it. Finally managed to get my phone service from them cancelled today (ie switched off completely) and paid a large charge I didn't owe to be rid of them. BT are still trying to repatriate calls - I've always had line rental from BT (I'm a Pipex business customer who was co-opted to TalkTalk residential via Opel) but since migration TalkTalk have also been charging me for that (my monthly bill went up!). Impossible to get redress or speak to anyone who actually understands the detail of their services. Spend 2 minutes on Google checking reviews - my experience is typical.

    So poor. For months we struggled with intermittent service after having their service installed in our flat. You cannot speak to anybody in the UK unless you are borderline abusive to the staff in the Phillipines call centre (or wherever they are based, they sound Fillipino to me!) They all read from a standard script (as per) and often cannot give any explanation for why the service is poor, down or why the router just will not connect to the internet. I was sent THREE routers from them over the course of 6 months and even bought my own from PC World - not one of them had a reliable connection to the internet. Talk Talk refused to acknowledge that the service was poor and they wouldn't do anything about it, every time they gave me the same excuse: 'it must be a faulty router, use your ethernet connection'. REALLY?! If that is the case they obviously can't even manufacture a decent router, let alone provide a reasonable standard of internet connection. They gave me so many gestures of goodwill and billing discounts to try and placate me that I cannot even count the number of times on two hands. In the end, we relocated to a different area in the UK and terminated the contract ASAP.
    Where we lived previously to that, we experienced Fibre with Talk Talk which I have to admit was reliable approx. 85% of the time, hence the 2 stars for the speed. In terms of customer service, reliability and satisfaction however, I wish I could give this company less than 1 star. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

    Hopelessly incompetent. Can't even manage to get a phone line installed correctly and have zero control over their subcontractors who do the work. Reused the line from a local school to fit my connection, leaving them with no broadband connection. Repeated the mistake a second time to cut the school off again. Every time, talktalk staff do nothing. Aren't prepared to pick up a phone, or make any kind of effort to resolve an issue. Do not use these people, they have no meaningful control over BT open reach and no interest in trying to help

    I pay my bill weekly it should be £21 a week on a Thursday. I always pay it on time and yet every week I find my self calling him over some problem. Thwy switch my phone off all the time and my broadband Nd everything I call they blame technical difficulties or say I payed at the wrong time of day. You can't understand a word they are saying and everything is off a script I asked to speak to a manager and I was refused then they put the phone down on me. I've called sky today and they have much better customer service and packages. My advise would to be never to Singh up with talk talk

    I was after canceling talk talk to join plus net, i was told to ring talk talk up 30 day before the anniversary date,,so i did. to be then told that there was going to be a Termination fee of 80+ pound!!!!!! but the contract ends in 30 days .

    I was then told I can cancel after that date for free but then I would have to pay a extra month!!!!.

    I would highly recommend to anyone who is considering joining talk talk to consider their choice again. I have never known a network provider to be as bad as what I am experiencing with talk talk. It's a shame there is no option for zero stars on broadband performance speed and reliability. It has gotten that bad recently that I haven't even been able to post this review through wifi, as I have had to use 4G on my phone. When speaking to a member of the talk talk team about our issue their response was simply, 'Yes well you are trying to connect a device in a different room to where your modem router is so the walls that are in the way are the issue' Oh I'm sorry, does this mean in order to have successful broadband I need to live in a house with no walls, or have a router adapter in every room of the house?! Therefore they claimed the issue was an issue on our part not theirs (because we live in a house with walls and doors). I have never known this be an issue with any other broadband providers in the past. This is also the smallest house we have lived in, so I can only imagine what hell it would have been if we were customers of talk talk in one of our bigger houses.
    My advice to anyone would be to not get enticed in and persuaded to join by the 'wonderful' offers they can provide for you - the 'bargain' deals and 'great' packages, because yes they might be slightly cheaper than other providers, however what is the point in paying anything at all for a service as poor as what is provided.
    After many phone calls with talk talk we have been assured the problem should not be getting any worse, however I am struggling to believe that due to that fact I have been sat in front of my laptop waiting for the same one page to load for the last 30 minutes (at least). Whether we are going to stick out the remaining time of our contract, we have not yet decided, but I can confidently say we will not be making this same mistake again regarding our choice of broadband.
    I understand people may think this review is harsh, but with the level of frustration from the lack of quality received through talk talk, I had to share my opinion with others.

    They offer you cheap offers but when you do your accounts end of year its seems they charge you similar to top branded Broadband, the mobile service they offer is absulutely awful, never again going back.they provide you with offers but in actual terms im paying 3% extra compare to other providers Talk Talk is bad with exceptionally poor service and quality

    Talktalk is garbage. The internet is very very slow. The call center is in India and they are not responsive to calls at all and the call center is so noisy you can't understand anything. also the picture quality on the cable TV is crap and too expensive. If you decide to cancel service, expect to get ripped off for about 80 quid when they fail to mail you the box you will need to get to return your cable box for the 80 quid refund. You won't get the box to send the equipment back. You will get charged for it instead.

    This company is SH*T!! And that's putting it nicely.
    We moved house and asked for the broadband and phone line to be transferred... Since then, we have had no broadband AT ALL...nothing!
    Pointless calling the company and speaking to the so called, customer service advisors, they sit there twiddling there thumbs telling you the problem will get sorted, has it? NO!!
    No call back as PROMISED??!! ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME.
    I will not waste another second of my time with this pathetic company, absolutely shocking!!!
    Take my advise- if your thinking about joining this company - DONT!!!!!!!!

    Absolutely abysmal service and treatment of vulnerable people.

    For 2 weeks my 80 year old grandmother who lives alone 4 hours away has been without any telephone service. Her friend lent her a mobile phoneto contact Talk Talk customer service and the waiting time alone ate her £10 credit. I have been on the phone to talk talk overseas call centres 4 times over the past week, which have a poor line and staff speak very basic english. Each time I am promised something will be done tomorrow and it has not been done.

    I am still waiting for my 80 year old grandmothers telephone line to be fixed.

    Please do not chose this provider especially if you are setting it up for someone vulnerable or you yourself are a vulnerable individual as they have a complete disregard and lack of care.

    I cancelled my TalkTalk contract after a price increase, which I could do so with no early exit fee. Since I have cancelled I have had nothing but hassle. They have tried to charge me for everything. I have now taken a case against them with the Ombudsman Services. Please do not take out a contract they are an appalling company with appalling customer service.

    **WARNING** Absolutely disgusting provider, never in 5 weeks did I receive a broadband connection and after hours and hours on the phone and deep frustration I signed up with another provider and now they are threatening me with court. Their Customer service department is the worst I have ever dealt with and a total disgrace.Stay well clear!!
