    We have just switched to talk talk, the Internet did not work for a day since the day it was supposed to go live. When we called for help, took a long loop to try this and that, still not working. Then they agree to send engineer out, but if there was no problem, they would charge us for 60 pounds! My husband then tried different things on it and it worked. The man on the helpline was giving all the wrong instruction, no way it would connect. We then had tbeen go through a paid line to cancel the engineer booking and took again ages for a simple cancellation!

    Again talk talk webmail down, not for a few minutes but for hours, been with tiscali and talk talk for a few years now, service just keeps getting worse. Lost my services again not so long ago for several days, got£15 refund after a lot of complaining. This company is appalling, every issue gets the same via India service, same questions time and time again. I've got to change my service provider soon, really had enough.

    The worst service in the world! Since subscribing the broadband 6 weeks ago I had no service. The worst customer service spent 6 hours a week trying to resolve the issues. Everyone is reading the script, very slow service therefore. Would not use again!

    talk talk are a COMPLETE waste of time and money. Never resolved anything properly in 18 months. At present a telephone line you can hardly hear on when talking and internet speed of less than 1.0 (IN THIS DAY AND AGE) - the the price is the same when they KNOW they cannot provide the speeds you are paying for 5 miles from the exchange

    managed to swap our telephone line to cable phone number for 4 days. numerous times the telephone and internet has been off for days. I'd stick with reputable a company who can actually provide what you are paying for because talk talk can't !!!

    should you EVER need technical or customer service you WILL be sorry you ever changed to talk talk

    Possibly the worst service I have ever had from a company. Incompetence doesn't even begin to describe how poor the service received is.
    After paying upfront for an installation, getting no installation because of talktalk messing up, to being charged full contract cancellation even though no service was provided, to then waiting up to 3 months to get my money back from them.
    I highly recommend you stay away from this useless company. I would hazard that even though they could probably provide a service, if you experience any problems, their incompetent staff wouldn't be able to provide you with any solution that is satisfactory.

    frightful - KEEPS BREAKING DOWN AT THEIR END AND HAS DONE SO FOR 18 months

    wrote to compaints , customer servixce and CEO -- days go by nothing - no reply and no fixing

    AVOID THE FRIGHTFUL TALK TALK - every time this long standing problem happens they talk talk talk and £25 appers on BT phone bill so all very expensive

    WE ALL KNOW THE PROBLEM IS THE LINE AT THEIR END but they sent engineer last time and charged £65 and he did not fix it as he could not as everyine knows it is talk talk fault ( send one all the time but ususlly free as their fault )

    they breach their contract by failing to provide a service that I pay for

    Quite possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with.
    Their tech is flawed they have very few people who can answer a question and then put you on hold while they get a translator.
    Their credit card system fails regularly and they lose your records from one person to the other (on the same call)
    Never call back, don’t fix problems and they cause you problems when you switch provider.
    Do not use this company I never wright reviews but I am writing this one!

    OMG!!! This talktalk people what the hell are they doing and the are a big fat liers and loser and there bordband what is the point of that because my contract is going to finish in 2 months and they took the hell out of me the to exart charges on my bill when nothing is working and they have a big mouth they charge for everything little stuff how anyone I request everyone to NEVER TAKE TALKTALK IN YOUR LIFE AND IF YOU DID DON'T YOU DARE TO GIVE DRICT DEBATE AS NOW I HAVE TO PAY A 3 MONTH BILL FOR NO BORDBAND AS I FELL LIKE KILLING THESE PEOPLE AS I WISH THAT THEY SEE EVERYONE'S COMMENTS

    Wish I could give 0 stars, awful awful company. Internet when working continuously drops in and out, you're lucky if it will work continuously for 3 hours. I have been without the internet for 8 days now and there engineers are just as useless as their support staff saying turn the router off and then on. Really couldn't discourage people off them more, they're cheap for a reason.

    Do not consider using talktalk - I've had continuous problems they refuse to deal with get charged for services not received and calls not made they do not resolve complaints they lie to customers and say they have resolved complaints when they haven't even spoke to customers looking at all of customer reviews on the Internet and Facebook I am yet to find a good review they all seem to be about the same poor service they delay dealing with complaints because they still get their monthly payments while customers suffer

    I have Broadband, telephone, and a TV set top box. with TalkTalk I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve an issue with my set top box and now it appears that as they could not contact me they just close the issue so we go round and round without anything being resolved. Customer services sucks I wish I had looked at the reviews before signing up with them as service is not as described in there adverts. Roll on end of contract.

    Been with talktalk for several months. Medium fibre and phone. Swapping from my previous provider was handled by talktalk and was completely painless. I did have to wait a three of weeks for the open reach engineer, hence only four stars for service, to turn up but he turned up on the agreed date completed the required work and left. The broadband was running immediately, the phone took a couple of hours. No drop outs since. I pay for 38 megs and get an average of 37 megs. Do your homework, supply from the exchange by copper wire will always be poor and variable. Go for fibre but check where your nearest bt openreach green box on the street is (it will say on it if it has a fibre connection ). If it is within a 1000m (phone lines travel under or over streets and paths not under houses) or so you should get a very good connection. If not you probably have a poor connection (copper wire) between the fibre box and your home. This is for openreach to fix via talktalk. If you have to contact talktalk the person on the phone is like any employee of any large organisation these days cheaply trained and underpaid be persistent, POLITE and patient. Stroppy will always get you poor service. Happy so far.

    Everything about these cowboys are a joke.
    76mbps but only getting 10mbps and at peak speeds that make dial up look good. Customer service is the worst i have ever come across, if you want a bit of telephone rage then this might be the company for you...if not stay clear.....they say you get what you pay for....nope you don't get anything but a ever increasing bill and no service for it

    Just another call to talktalk customers service today to complaints about my broadband is not working again!!!first there told me there will do some technical check on phone line and a result is no problem with my phone line.be passed through another department and the guy on the phone tell me that is have a problem with my WiFi box routter because is a old model it not connect to network properly there can get it work again but it work only for 3-4 day and there can get it work by the end of my phone call but it will go again at some how.i can have a new one that will cost me £51.20 inculding delivery cost and not guarantee will work properly. What!!!at this poin i though talktalk are the supplier any upgraded on the box that the customer never ask for or tecnical problem talktalk are the sponsibility to sort all the problem and with no extra cost.than he say is another option for you!to get it working properly i have to upgraded a new package deal for fiber broadband and pay another £10 on top for what I already pay and hear come the sale is go on for half and hour at the end I say no to any package deal there offer it is mean more I have to pay!and ask will you be able to sort the problkem??and say goodby with the guarantee that my old wifi box will work even for only 3-4 day!!!put the phone Dow hope WiFi work try to connect again have a guest....the bloody think it not even work!! Basically I just pay £18 a month for something is not working not be able to cancelled how come the company can get away with it!!!!

    I placed an order to upgrade to Fibre broadband nearly two weeks ago, received a confirmation from TalkTalk then nothing happened. Today after spending an hour with support over chat then over the phone I was told they don't have a record of my order even though I have given them my order number and I can see my order on the TalkTalk myAccount website. I offered them to forward the email confirmation but they refused that and said they will only deal with my complaint if I print it out and send it to them in the post. This is ridiculous service as I've already been waiting my order to be processed for nearly two weeks and I'm not going to wait for another week. Support agent refused my request to let me speak to his supervisor or to escalate my complaint.

    The most appalling service I have ever received in my life, three insulation dates, and fees and still no service. No refund and transferred from one department to another for in Over two hours. With no resolution in sight, refused to cancel my order without a cancelation fee, despite the fact that they have never dispatched equipment or turned on their services! Disgraceful and repeating 'we understand, put we need to retake this money to be able to provide a new connection date' was the only solution offered, as once they took more monies they can refund previously taken monies.

    The worst service provided ever!
    Problems started right at the begining with engineer not coming, then receiving a call of a customer support member who couldn't speak english at all. Slowliest speed ever, getting disconected often...
    Customer support is soooo poor, no one can speak english, no one actually helps, basically treating their customers like a trash. To sign months contract is much worse than getting a contract with demon!
    The only good thing - router delivered in time and in nice package... but router itself is problematic, having problems with giving unused ip addresses.... i just still wonder how these guys were able to get more than 1 and a half star, as the company doesn't deserve more than one star for sure.
    It's not even that cheap, if i would have another choice to choose, i would rather paid like 5pounds more and getting much better broadband than the one from talk talk.
    I'm just counting days till the contract end, as i want to flee from them right away! If you haven't signed the contract yet, DON'T do the biggest mistake in your life as there is really high probability that you will regret a tons after!

    Very poor service with unreliable internet that drops out and appalling customer service team. I've been without internet for 6 days and the sheer complacency of the support team is pathetic. With their first 4 responses being turn the router on and off, it wasn't until I demanded an engineer view the issue to identify the outside internet infrastructure is the issue. The problem should have been identified far sooner

    Really awful email service, it's down a lot so you can't even get in, it keeps logging you out and deleting or moving emails to the spam box is hit or miss as to whether it works.

    Stay away of this company, everything they promise is lies.
    The broadband they advertising is not unlimited, when you watch few more videos on YouTube, they slow down you speed to minimum, or stopping the internet access for few hours or sometime for whole days.on the end i wanted to cancel my account,its impossible to cancel your account, as when i trying to contact them, and they hear i want to cancel my account, they just hang on the phone, or make me to wait on the chat system 30-40 minutes without success, and on the end i should stop my direct debit.
    After canceling the account they still send me huge bill to pay, so read reviews before purchasing talktalk services,you won't save money with them, and you will get big troubles.

    Worst company I've ever had to deal with. Poor broadband, the TV service is terrible, they kept putting the bills up, I cancelled and have had nothing but trouble and constantly sending me all sorts of bills for things I haven't got and haven't done. I can never get a decent person to sort anything out its been nothing but stress.

    If I could have given a zero star rating I would have done. Don't touch this service with a ten foot barge pole! By far the worst ever 'customer service' I've ever come across in my entire life! Broadband continually dropping, very slow speeds, problems with a fault on the phone line I could go on but I've lost the will to live. Took me three months to get shut of them. Went straight to their chief execs office and reached the point where they said they'd issue a deadlock letter to submit to Ofcom, I said 'fine, lets do that' then they backed off and decided they owed me money rather than the other way round. Do yourself a favour - STEER CLEAR

    After over 4 weeks of phoning TalkTalk regarding very slow broadband fibre speed eventually engineer sent who decided problem was outside of my premises.
    Have now waited 10 days for Openreach to come out and repair.
    Customer service from TalkTalk is truly abysmal-all words no action.
    The worse company it has been my misfortune to deal with in some 50 years.
    Avoid at all cost.

    if i could give talk talk no stars i would. i have been with them a year and a half and my internet speed was poor and i kept losing connection, then my partner decided to try the fiber broadband. so he order the large only to be put on the medium which i though okay they obvs dont do the large in our area. so i got my bill for this month i am having to pay a full month for simple broadband and a full month for fiber because it start half way through the month i was ticked of but this i could but up with. we was promised 39 - 40 mbps with the fiber did a test and its only coming up to 24mbps so my partner was on the phone for 2 hrs trying to explain that this not right to only get past from one person to another, finally they said they will send someone out to fix it in a week. so as i though if i aint getting the speed i shouldnt have to pay for the fiber just the simple. so i phoned up to say about this and again i was past from one person to another who just totally didnt understand what my point was so finally i asked to speak to someone higher than them. when i finally got through to him he was so rude didnt understand a thing wasnt going to reduce my bill and was saying i would get a £300+ cancellation fee so i asked to speak to his boss only to be told no. i put my partner on the phone to him to see if he could get some where with this guy but he had the same problem after a long heated argument the guy said he will get his boss to phone in 5 - 10 working days, so the moral of the story DO NOT GO WITH TALK TALK!!! there customer service is so poor and you just get past from pillow to post.

    Tomorrow I'm cancelling my direct debit and my contract. I've been with Talk Talk for 5+ years and when we moved they just took the mickey of it.

    Was told would get max speed of 3.3 mbs/s and a min speed of 1.2 mbs/s and instead we barely get .70 kb/s. When called spent two hours on the phone to sort the issue out. They took 10 mins just to run a line test and told us that the fault wasn't with them, but somehow with us or there was no fault at all and although they were supposed to send out an engineer for our new home, one never showed up. They say one wasn't needed, but now they want to charge us £65 to have the engineer that we were told was supposed to come out, actually come out.

    When making a complaint of the unhelpfulness of the customer service rep. Was told a ridiculous story that it can take 10+ days for 'the line to settle' so we could get the speeds listed.

    Not buying it. My neighbors all get 2.62 mb/s to 37mb/s on other carriers. So I'm taking my business elsewhere.

    Another company not bothered about customer loyalty, been with talk talk 5+ years have less than 4 months left on contract asked for the new deal.REPLY
    We cant do it for existing customers just New ones .absolutely unbelievable and not helpful customer services.
    please consider customer services on broadband deals before you buy.

    Worst company I have ever used!! Dreadful broadband speed which means I was unable to use the youview box and entertainment package that I was sold, cancelled within a week and was told I would have a cancelation fee of £380 plus a month and a half worth of bills due to my contract starting just before their billing date! After spending several hours on the phone to numerous advisors (one of which hung up on me) I have been able to waive most of the fees however they still took £34 out of my account which I am now trying to claim back! Never again!!

    Talktalk is the worst company i have EVER dealt with i was two days late to ring up about cancelling an account at a house that i no longer live at and i now have to pay untill august which is disgraceful and on top of that i demanded that the line was blocked and that the internet or phone could not be used as i DONT live there anymore but it hasnt and im getting charged for other people to use my account even though i have asked it to be blocked. Opening a new account with you was the worst experience possible i ordered my new internet deal only to find you hadnt actually sent it out you cancelled it but wasnt told about it you made me miss the lovetoshop voucher deal and i had to wait THREE weeks for yout lousy internet to be installed and the worst part was having to arrange it over the phone with your customer service on my mobile because your too incompetent to install a landline costing me £68 to talk to an entire customer service team which cant understand english!!! I was finally given 30 credit and then asked to arrange it all myself having to ring up again and speak to the most incompetent manager ive ever spoken to in my life repeat catchphrases obviously read of a script because he didnt have a good enough grasp of english to reposnd to me .... again costing me a bloody fortune, so im stuck with this pathetic company now paying for TWO accounts and the only way for me to sort it out is to ring up which will in no doubt cost me about £68 quid.     Overall very frustrating & disappointing broadband experience. Paid for broadband in central London but internet was regularly unavailable. Have had to hot spot from my smartphone on a regular basis. Multiple customer service calls failed to resolve the technical issue and no refund was offered.

    I was a loyal AOL broadband customer for 10 years. TalkTalk suddenly stopped debiting my broadband fees, and blamed ME for their oversight! I spent many many hours trying to sort it, on the phone to Indian call centre, where we hardly understood each other. It took months and many phonecalls to finally get shot of them, and they charged me late payment fees. The broadband was terribly slow anyway, so I was thinking of changing, but their customer service was just THE worst I've ever experienced. Do NOT sign up to them. I've ended up paying £76.92 for the last 2 months, and only had a few days service!!! These are just the WORST company of any kind I've ever come across. They even refused to close my account, as they said the address on their system didn't match the one I gave them - which is where I live, and they'd been supplying my broadband to.
    Hate them with the most passion. Grr
    Why can't I rate zero? or better still, minus 1 million!! DON'T sign up - you will regret it

    Exceptionally poor customer service. Spent 8+ hours on the telephone over a 2 month period. Sent from one department to another with considerable delays and cut-offs. Sent around the same loop about 8x. Still ended up with no service, no telephone line. Very poor communication between Talktalk and BT Openreach. Individuals working there trying their best, but poor system.

    Useless useless useless. Worst customer "service" ever. Have been a customer for years but cant wait to leave. Upgraded (allegedly) to fibre optic broadband 24/1/15. Reported no internet on 17/7/15....not sorted out by 22/7/15. Called them AGAIN to be told we are not on fibre optic....theu forgot to switch us over! Have been charged for this for 6 months. When i said i was not happy and want to leave i was told i would be charged a penalty for breach of contract. EXCUSE ME...WHO HAS BREACHED THEIR CONTRACT??!! Then the call was suddenly cut off & now cant get through to waste another 59 minutes being told i'm in the wrong. Well worth paying that bit extra to go with a decent professional company that values their customers! Talktalk are lying passive aggressive bunch of incompetent unhelpful idiots. Stay well clear.

    I have never ever experienced such a lack of customer care or professionalism. The whole Talk Talk experience is a joke. They were notified on 28 June of my home move and told connection would go live in my new place on 13 July. After 6 hours on the phone trying to communicate with staff that have no English language skills was enough. Talk Talk had arranged for a BT engineer to attend my property but did not bother to inform me of this visit. When questioned and asked what time the visit is booked for so that I can arrange time off I was told that they can't confirm this until 24 hours after my appointment - where is the logic in that ???

    Constantly refused to escalate the complaint to the UK - call centre is based in the Philippines. In the end I googled the CEO and contacted directly. A tiny bit of hope there, I have now cancelled Talk Talk with no cancellation charge and have since joined Sky who have dispatched the equipment to me already........complete contrast to Talk Talk.

    Talk Talk may be cheap but be warned no customer care whatsoever and even the UK staff confirm the set up is a shambles !!!

    Steer clear is my advise

    I wouldn't recommend talk talk to anyone! It works at a snails pace! You can barely do anything without constant loss of internet, constantly having to reset the router. I completely regret buying this internet as it doesn't meet my requirements or anyone for that matter! Do not buy talk talk. Its shit!

    Talk Talk customer service was the most frustrating service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I wanted to cancel my account after moving to a new flat, the first lady was incomprehensible and eventually cut off the line. The second time I rang, I could hear people in the background but no one was responding to my 'hellos'. The third male incorrectly typed in my security details (even though I spelled them out with the phonetic alphabet) and thus was unable to access my account and subsequently kept me on hold for 5 minutes. The problem is currently unsolved. I have no idea whether my account is cancelled or not and i'm too infuriated to bother calling back today. I was informed that they are charging me for 13 months even though I was on a 12 month contract because it is apparently a 30 day cancellation process. My advice to you is do not subscribe with talk talk, their internet has been slow and unreliable and often I have resorted to using the library's. Their customer service is appalling.

    Don't touch TalkTalk. First they 'slammed' me when I moved house (pinched my line and number without asking or telling me), then when I tried to leave they stung me with a £236 "contract breakage fee". It took me weeks and dozens of phone calls to South Africa to break this impasse. Their people tell you they will sort it out but they don't. Their billing is difficult to understand and impossible to change once it's there online. After 5 weeks my new provider took over my line & broadband and, after considerable stress & worry, I finally got TalkTalk to refund my "contract breakage fee" that should never have been applied. They have never apologised and I will NEVER consider joining them ever again.

    OK, so I've finally managed to get rid of TalkTalk and it is, literally, a great feeling. From day one it was bad service. Download speed started off at about 2mb. Previous suppliers managed around 12mb. When I queried this I was told it's just setting up and it'll improve...

    It didn't.

    When I called again I was told it was because of the distance from my flat to the exchange. I made the point that neither my flat nor the exchange had moved but they couldn't seem to grasp this concept and simply repeated themselves as though it was some religious mantra.

    Finally get TalkTalk to send an engineer. To his credit he did manage to get the speed up to 6-7mb but he said the wiring in my flat was incompatible with TalkTalk's equipment at the exchange. Of course this is a lie since it's standard bt wiring and no other provider had any problems with it.

    So I think at least it's useable and I didn't want to waste any more of my time banging my head against a brick wall and will just get on with my life.

    Occasional times where the service just fails for a couple of days are par for the course with TalkTalk.

    So then we move on to the TV service. Anyone moving from Sky or Virgin who might be expecting a similar service, you can forget it. This isn't because of any fault, it's just awful. From the limited number of channels to the bad interface design to the fact it takes about 3 seconds to switch channels (it doesn't sound like a lot but try channel hoping with that delay) and the DVR which will randomly not be able to play recordings. It's just awful.

    Also don't get conned by the "free" YouView box offer. It's not free. It's a loan and you have to send it back when you leave TalkTalk. Which brings me to the latest saga...

    So TalkTalk are supposed to send you this bag so you can return the tv box. In my case they didn't. At the time I think this is just TalkTalk being rubbish again and wait but then I get an email to say I haven't returned the box.

    I call and explain the situation and (for once) I get someone who understands. I can only assume this is because it's a common complaint. She agrees to send "another" bag. Before the bag arrives I get another email... "We're going to charge you £75 for the box"! You can imagine how happy this made me. So I call to complain, yet again, and after much time they say if I call with the postage ref they'll make sure I don't get charged. So today I send it off and give TalkTalk a call to give them the ref. 33 minutes it takes TalkTalk to write the 12 digit reference into the notes and even then they can't guarantee I won't get charged!

    To me this seems like a scam. I received every bit of marketing rubbish they send but not the returns bag they're supposed to send??? My view is that either enough people don't notice the extra charge or just don't care that TalkTalk can view this as a bit of free money and a scree you to the customers who want to leave. Of course, it might just be a coincidence. I guess I'll never know.

    What I do know is that whether they charge me or not, today is a good day because TalkTalk is out of my life
