I was also a fuel broadband customer, When I was informed that I would be transferred to POBroadband at almost 2X the cost of fuel I arranged talk talk as a new supplier. I told fuel that I did not want to go toPObroadband. My TalkTalk service was activated on July 11th. Imagine my shock to discover that PO had direct debited £32+ on1st September. I have spent ££'s on phone calls, I can't use the free number. I have written to them. PO insist that thhey are providing me with the service, but Talk Talk is definitely connected on the only lline into my home. No they say I can't cancel except by calling, what??? and spend £££'s in a queue to cancel something I never asked for.
    bahhhhh, useless company ..

DISGRACEFUL! Was with PO for 18 months, BIG MISTAKE!
Broadband is horrendous, and that's when it decides to work.
Asked them 3 times to cancel direct debit after my contract ended but they still have not and are taking £33 on an initial £20 package.
I have cancelled the direct debit with my bank but they said that PO can still take it if they think there is a contract. They know there is no contract but continue to take my money. I am at my wits end with them. Do not use them, seriously!

They are probably trying to get money any way they can as they have to pay out £58million to their previous workers that they wromgly blamed.
The POST OFFICE ARE THE ROBBERS
Avoid them or pay the price-literally

Absolutely horrendous broadband service. I have been without any Internet for the past 6/7 months and emailed stating this but have had nothing done to resolve this issue. This has meant my daughter has missed out on her education, I have missed out on work and important medical appointments via zoom. So I have been paying £18 a month for an Internet service that hasn't given me Internet. I'm pretty sure their contract states that they're an Internet provider and will ensure customers have the Internet access they are paying for so surely they should be providing this Internet service. Each time I've emailed they have responded that they have found no problem yet from my end there has clearly been a problem otherwise I wouldn't have got in contact over the fact the Internet has not worked. Massively disappointed and angered at the service and 'resolution' they have supposedly offered and I will be making sure i tell anyone looking into purchasing broadband to avoid the post office at all costs. Absolutely disgusted, particularly with how important the Internet has been over this past year.

Zero rating for everything. The worst possible internet connection, and am fobbed off with cut and paste replies that "we cannot identify a problem". I recently lived in Madagascar and the connection and service puts the Post Office to shame. AWFUL!

Avoid at all cost. The worst company ever. They sent an engineer to install a new line in my elderly parents house . The engineer disconnected their virgin phone line and left them without a phone line. They told me to get virgin to fix it and it was nothing to do with them and it was up to us to contacts open reach ourselves. My father is 89 years old we went back to virgin and said good riddance to this shower. A full 10 days without phone yes even the virgin one due to their engineer. Unbelievable

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would.
Incredibly slow internet, uploading any files usually causes the internet to go down completely.
Customer service department was okay until we got put through to tech support who hung up on us. When we rang back they were rude and unhelpful. We went round in circles with them for months. Cannot wait to leave once our contract is up. They charge £200 if you leave early. Save your money & sanity & avoid them

I am totally disappointed with this service at the time I terminated my contract, I sent the email requesting to terminate on the contract end date and received an automated response. I then went on with another service provider. Received email asking to pay £29 two weeks later and customer services said they didn’t receive the email. Therefore have to bill me till mid September. I then asked to speak to a manager and was told to send the original email again and they will produce the final bill backdating from the when I gave the notice. So the final bill would be for few days charges. Two weeks later I’m being chased again asking to pay £29 outstanding bill, once again spent my Saturday dealing with the customer service and sorted the final bill for £3 and even paid it off, I specifically told that I don’t want to receive any more phone calls and couple of hours later again I’m receiving a call asking me to pay £29. I again wasted my time trying to call and told to ignore the call, really nasty experience and I will never use this service again or recommend it to anyone.

The Post Office doesn't even deserve a one.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE POST OFFICE BROADBAND SERVICE.
I have used Sky, TalkTalk, Virgin and SSE.
The Post Office should not EVEN be providing any internet service, that is how bad they are.

I refuse to continue on my with contract and if needs be I will be taking this to OfCom for the terrible service.

It will take alot of patience on my part but it is a matter of principle. No one should have to pay this service. I will be speaking to OfCom this week and sharing any tips to yourselves.

We don't have any equipment with this company, post office broadband, they took over fuel broadband, and doubled the price, and they had attitude when we tried to sign up, then there was more rubbish from them so we cancelled and they wanted to charge us £200 for them not providing any service at all, the cancellation takes place on the 6th of September and we have to wait a month for open reach (as we all know that you can't contact this company) to switch a service back on, the post office, really needs dealing with by the communications services as there attitude is as poor as, I would not recommend anyone going to this company. They are awful.

No stars because not worth them.
Looking at other feedback, this outfit is providing such slow download speeds (0.0 mbs to 2.0 mbs) that is is not fit for purpose, nor is it the product they contracted to provide. If they refuse to release customers from their contracts (and I haven't yet requested this) they would, in my view, be defrauding them.
I note that many of the very few people leaving positive feedback are very new customers. I would be interested to see what they think in six months time.

I have already left a review but unfortunately I have had to contact these people again today. I was dreading it. Well here's the good news. I put down my mobile as the best contact and they phoned me not on my mobile but on my landline (pure fluke I was in) then I got put on hold as they couldn't actually do it due to technical difficulties surprise, surprise. I finally got through myself (as usual hanging on and on and on and I was told it was £37 to keep my old number (moving a few miles down the road) and then they told me that my current 'cheap' contract becomes null and void as I am moving and I would have to renegotiate a new one surprise, surprise. I opted to take a 12 month one at £4 a month extra so I could get away from these parasites ASAP. Now for the bad news (as above :-(

This is the complaint letter I wrote to them today, 24.8.2015 - says it all:
In April I chose to swop my broadband and telephone service to yourselves. I paid for the line rental for 12 months in advance and I recollect – although it was so long ago I cannot be sure exactly what was said - that the service would be up an running within 14 days of you receiving the mac code that I had to obtain from BT.

I requested the code the same day but did not receive it until three weeks later, when I gave you the code to activate the broad band, you said that I would receive the router about 5 days before the line went live.

The telephone line became active on the 1st of June, I knew this because BT advised me, but I had no communication from you.

When I did not receive the router I phoned up mid June, only to be told that you had tried to apply the mac code and it was faulty, however no one had contacted me to inform me of this. I phoned BT and they said the mac code was accurate, after much back and forth in telephone calls and time I finally ascertained that by the time you applied the code it was out of date which was why the broad band would not port. However the man I spoke to said that rather than wait for a new code from BT we may as well go ahead without this and have the broad band activated on the 21st of June as on that date new legislation came in which allowed companies to take over the broad band service without a mac code, I agreed to this and awaited the receipt of my router.

The 21st of June came and went and still no router, I was then away for three weeks and on my return again phoned only to be told that my broad band order had been cancelled, but that my telephone line would be live with you on the 7th of July. Your representative told me on several times that it was the telephone that would be live until I finally convinced him that this was already active.

I was then under the understanding that it was the broad band that would be live.

As the 7th approached and I still had no router I called again, this time I was told that the broad band would be live on the 7th but may not be activated by BT until up to the 21st, I again confirmed that I would have the router in good time so that there would be no loss of service and I am fairly sure that I explained that it was a holiday cottage and I was going to have to make the 3 hour journey to take the router to the cottage as it was being delivered to the account address in Atherstone, I was assured that this would be the case.

I then received and email from BT in the week ending the 14th to say that they were sorry I was leaving and their service with me would cease on the 21st.

On the 17th I had still not received the router and called again, this time I was told that they could not locate a tracking number, however not to worry as if no tracking order was found by the 21st they would then be able to re-order and I would get it in 3-5 working days. At that point I was totally exasperated with the downright inefficiency and robot like responses of your staff in general, plus their lack of ability to get anything right. I asked to speak to customer complaints and a lady whose name I think was Leanna, told me that she understood my frustrations and would arrange for a router to be dispatched on that day.

I was due to go away that weekend but was under the impression from my agents that no one was in the cottage until the 28th of August, the guests that were leaving would do so on the 21st so that any disruption to them would be minimum. On that basis I decided that I would mail the router direct to my agent when it arrived so that he could make sure it was in place for the guests that were due on the 28th. However it turns out that there are guests at the cottage and they have complained that they have no broadband.

On Saturday, the 22nd I received a letter from you which says

    Dear Mrs O’Donnell

    Yours sincerely
    Mariam Nazir
    Customer Experience Advisor
    Post Office Telecoms

Well I am sure I really need to know that Ms Nazir is your customer experience officer, and no doubt you must have felt it very important that I knew of this fact because that is all the letter has told me, so how about this for a reply to Ms Nazir – My experience with Post Office Telecoms has been ******* diabolical.

I again called today to ask where the router is and was told that Leanna and Ms Nazir had tried to contact me on the 18th and been unable to do so, although why they could not leave a voice mail I do not know and it seems odd that they did not reach me as I was at my desk most of the day and have no missed calls recorded, I imagine they used an incorrect number which would fit with your general standard of efficiency, the correct number is at the bottom of this email. Apparently the failed calls were to tell me that they could not find a tracking order and that they could only make an order for a second router when the broad band went live on the 21st, sounds familiar……..it is blatantly obvious that they could not find a tracking order because no router had been ordered in the first place.

At the very least I would have expected that the router would have been ordered on the 21st but surprise, surprise at 10.00 this morning of the 24th no order had been placed, had I not called it would still not be placed. It seems nothing can be done to speed the delivery up so to try and mitigate the ludicrous delay I have asked for it to go direct to my Agent and have been told that this is not a problem, I have repeatedly checked that this will be the case but have little faith due to previous experience with you.

I think the service I have received is dreadful, I can hardly believe I am saying this but it is far worse than BT, and that’s going some.

I would like to know what you intend to do to compensate me for this dreadful service that has caused me untold frustration, wasted my time and cost me money due to having to call you repeatedly as a result of your repeated inefficiency, and I await an answer to this.

BUT FIRST, THIS IS MY CALL TO ACTION TO YOU - AND I REQUIRE A REPLY WITHIN TWO HOURS, AND YES I AM SHOUTING:

I want someone of authority to confirm that the router will be dispatched today and mailed to the to the following address, and I require their name position and direct telephone number:

Go with the post office if you dare. Never again in my life will i ever go back to them. They are a joke and mislead and conned me out of £60. I tried to join them on the 27-11-19 by confused.com which stated i would get £60. Which i tried 3 times and ever time i got to the end and make the payment. It went potty and said i had to phone them to start it. So i did and then when i asked were my £60. Was. They said you don’t get the money because i had phoned them to take it out. Which when i checked the T&C number 2 stated you don’t get the money if you phone up to take it out. So i can see now why it would not let me make the payment on confused.com. Shocking way to con you and the speed is all over the place and keeps dropping out and when you complain, if you can get to talk to them, they will do nothing at all to sort things. Just keep saying ever think is good at they end. Another thing i also found out when i speed test on Ookla is that they use talktalks net work. Another company that i would never use again and is most likely the reason why the post office is so bad and have so many problems. BE WARNED and AVOID

Interrupting all the time, phone them to sort it out , they always said will send engineer out to help, but promise never come true, never ever got someone to fix it ,we waited at home for two days within appointment time, but it really disappointed. They have never ever come without give us any notice.

Post Office Broadband has been a complete Disaster.

Firstly they state the switchover date but the line goes dead all day and douse not start working until midnight the next day.

Secondly and more importantly the slowness of the service is so slow that my 2g mobile phone is twice as fast at openi g web pages than the post office broadband. Nothing works anymore, I can't log into anything on any mobile devises unless I stand next to the router and switch everything else off, even then sites crash, time out and drop wireless conectivity and when they do connect any wide connections crash.

My opinion is that the service is not fit for purpose and I do not beleave the technical help desk when they say the service will get faster, I need it to work now, not next year.

Zero stars, absolutely shocking broadband, it's like going back 20-years to the days of dial-up it is so slow and drops out all of the time.

Now they have jumped ship and sold it to shell so it's obviously not going to get any better in the near future thankfully not long to go on contract, time to switch.

providers like this should be prosecuted but it's always someone else's fault!!! absolute charlatans

No stars. We were 'slammed' by this absolutely horrendous business. Basically they took over Fuel Broadband, didn't tell us and took double out of the bank account leaving us short. We were furious so waited an hour on the phone to speak to them got an apology offered a credit and a £21 plan, that they were emailing.... still nothing that was two months ago! Next bill was £38 quid! Bunch of absolute sharks... we emailed last week! No reply! Going to block them through the bank and report the thieving scumbags!! Absolutely shady. Is it even legal for money to be taken without knowledge that the POST OFFICE BROADBAND has taken money from the bank account with no authorisation?

Refuse to even rate this diabolical excuse of a broadband service. Like alot of people we naturally transferred from Fuel Broadband in the summer and had nothing but many daily drop outs and a very slow speed which seems not much better than the old dial up days. On a good day we get 6.5mbps and an upload speed of 0.9. I have lost count of the many phone calls I've made and how many times of been told to try this, that and the other! Spent a week plugged into the master socket, changed all of the micro filters (again!) and finally they raised a 'ticket' for an engineer to come out. Waited around for the 4 possible days that they should have visited me, only to receive an email that the Engineer had been out and found the fault externally to my property. Guess what? It's still no better. They remotely changed the 'channel' on my router, still no change. I've had many providers over the last 15 years without any issue (including talk-talk), nothing has changed in the house and I'm not prepared to accept that there is. They are totally, TOTALLY useless. We've all been conned by the historically good brand name 'Post Office'. Somebody please help!!!!!

Absolutely appalling. I very often can even load a speed test. Far far worse than dial-up. It's not just our location (rural) because with Eclipse, we had no problem. So it is PO or BT or the both of them. We are so angry about it, I'd better stop to control my language.
