I have been with p.o. for 4 years because I have moved home twice within 2 year they forced me to renew my contract just to transfer my landline across to my new address, STEER CLEAR of these cowboys they are useless and abysmal.
My broadband goes down at least 3-4 daily I have rang them at least once to twice a month because the device is so bad, yet they don't give me any reasons to why it is terrible.
I have had engineers out in total about 13 times because p.o. says it's internal faults when it is impossible because when I moved into my new place I got all the rewiring done and the rewiring of my router and lines from them, they tried to charge me for an engineer to come out once too.
They are the pinnacle of crap and I am currently having a verbal battle with them because I'm threatening to cancel my direct debit.

We switched on to Post office Broadband to a less known provider to support the small players in the market. Although we had huge technical issues with our line, which unfortunately weren't resolved we were able to get a full refund and compensation in the end of our term. Customer service was slow in the beginning but worked out in the end. Kudos for that.

The Post Office starting phoning you to remind you to pay their bill daily. They drive you mad and are a real nuisance. Even though I have called them out on the legality of doing this. It is harassment if more than two contacts are made, they are unable to stop the calls.

I got no broadband service from Post Office during the 5 mths I was with them as they never managed to get the BB up and working. It cost me hours of time calling them, lost bookings for a holiday cottage, (with no wi-fi people cancelled) and time travelling to try and sort out the problem. In all it was very stressful. Please DON'T go with the Post Office. In the end they only gave me a refund of £50 which didnt even cover the DD bills they had already charged me for this.

    Utterly useless!!!
The claimed "UK based call centres" cannot speak English.
The "Post Office" is just a virtual company using their name to generate an income. They are in the final death throws of their name having made one abysmal decision after another for decades. They sell their name to be used by other utterly incompetent organisations. This include things like banking which is actually The Bank of Ireland.
I have spent several hours on the phone and the internet trying to buy their broadband package and failed. Absolutely nothing works!
The web site is useless and tells me once I have saved my information details and return to place the order that as I have an "account", which I don't, I cannot re-enter the information and I need to log on using an Email address and password which most certainly do not exist. The idiot third world helpdesk, not only cannot understand anything that is said to them, but insist that I have entered up information on the web application that I most certainly have not entered.
Complete and utter dysfunctional rubbish that prevents me from even signing up.
Thank goodness I spotted the reviews on this web site.
From my own research, if you want a low speed service that is managed properly, you will need to spend several pounds more per month to get a better "help desk".
A "business" really can't get much worse than this!
It's obvious from recent reviews that the "Post Office" broadband, or at least the real broadband company behind the name, have recently "done a deal" for even cheaper "help desk" staff behind the scenes in order to prop up the profit margin.
Sadly most other companies have followed the same behaviour. This includes Virgin who can now cut off an essential service to a business for five days without any ability to address the problem by their off shore "help desk" for five days. Another automated price rise means they want £34/month for the service!
Hence my looking for a better supplier.
It obviously is not the "Post Office"!

Oh my days! The post office broadband is the worst service I have ever had I have struggled to get a good signal for over 12 months I am currently waiting for a technician to come out after having no Internet for over a week. Each time I phoned customer services I am left on hold for over half an hour until somebody comes to the phone. They are usually rude and really don't care. The only Decent customer advisor I had was called Steven Harris. Please do not waste your money with this company. It has been so frustrating as I am disabled and rely on my Internet.

Avoid at all costs. Total mess up Placed an order and we were given date and waited 2 weeks for engineer and on the day no one turned up Had to phone to find out why he hadn't turned up Supervisor told me that the problem was sorted and promised we would be on line within a week. Should have been connected yesterday I have spent over 2 hours on the phone to try to get this sorted and although l had been assured by Supervisor that he would sort the problem out we have been told that l would have to start another order and have to wait nearly 3 weeks We have had 3 routers delivered

Post office broadband is average for browsing the internet on your phone or laptop. However it is absolutely shocking when I play my xbox. I enjoy playing my xbox from time to time but I cant enjoy it now im using Post Office broadband, as I spend the majority of time trying to connect to my router and when I am lucky enough to do that I will get disconnected and reconnected every 20 minutes ( on a good day!)

Zero stars. Zero morality. I am a pensioner and full-time carer who left Fuel Broadband immediately on finding that PO Telecom was taking over and planning to double my basic charges of £20.30 per month, violating my Fuel Broadband contract which had fixed them until November. I had to change my phone number of over 40 years to escape from PO Telecoms. Despite doing this, PO Telecoms sent me a leaving bill for £42.77, presumably to cover the few days it took me to get out, and now have Rosie Peters of CREDITLINK ACCOUNT RECOVERY SOLUTIONS threatening me with “more severe actions to recover the amount outstanding” with “recovery costs … added to the balance significantly increasing the outstanding amount”. Shameful. I look forward to beating them in court.

Do never get in touch with this company. I used to be with fuel and post office took it over without saying me anything. With fuel was 20 pounds a month but post office charged me over 30 pounds (for 12 mb) a month changing my contract without informing me. When I called them they only said its because i am on opened account. What is it??? They said I have no contract. How could i not have contract if i was in contract with fuel and they took me over???? Don't understand....
They charged me for months like this

I have used post office for 6 months now. My internet speed has varied from 3mpbs to 7mpbs. Generally is very slow when there are two people using it. Sometimes it takes ages for youtube videos. On my phone, I sometimes prefer to use my mobile data to my wi-fi connections as it is very slow.

The offer I signed up for specified that I would be getting from 11-16mpbs. As this was not happening I phoned customer services. They said that the terms and conditions of the contract states that I would be getting a minimum of 11mps when it is wireless, not wi-fi. On another call to customer services about me complaining why I was not getting 11mpbs as it was for what I had signed up for, they said that if I read the terms and conditions I could see that the offer was "estimated" 11mpbs-16mpbs. I have checked and I can't see this on my terms and conditions booklet, but I can see it in the Welcome booklet. It says: Your dowload speek should be close to the speed estimate we gave when you signed up. If you want to check this, it'll be in the Welcome Letter included with the guide. This estimate is provided as a range and shows the speeds your line should be able to reach under the best possible conditions when you've got A SINGLE DEVICE CONNECTED TO YOUR WI'FE ROUTER WITH AN ETHERNET CABLE, your current speed should be be close to it. Which means that, if you are not getting the 11mbps-16mbps you are screwed as they think is fine to give you the estimated. When is it considers below estimated? They will not tell you.

The phone calls will end up with you agreeing to run more speed data tests.

DO NOT SING UP WITH POST OFFICE. THE COMPANY WILL NOT PROVIDE YOU WITH WHAT YOU THOUGHT YOU WILL BE SINGING UP FOR.

Hi I got switched over to post office broadband without my knowledge never got email or call to tell me I had a new different provider . Internet speed was under 2 mb very very slow also . They also charged me £33.50 per month when I used to pay only £18 per month and I only noticed by accident when I checked my bank statement . I called them 3 times to complain about switchover without my knowledge . First 2 times I called I got real bad customer service who were not even able to answer my query . . So I. Called after 3 months oh slow internet. Speed to complain and was told there is not even a complaints. Procedure as all complaints. Are down to the managers. Disgressiom Wich is absoluteley not good enough , I then asked to speak to a manager and was told the manager was to busy to come speak to me on the fone. I then decided to cancel my services with them and they said I had to pay another months worth of service first Wich is not acceptable . . Not a good service at all with no decent customer service with no complaints procedure . I'm now thinking of taking legal action for the lies about the service they told me also they still expect me to pay another bill for a service they did not provide. Anyone willing to go with them must be crazy so I urge anyone enquiring not to go to post office broadband . It took over an hour for me to speak to the cancellation department . Terrible provider..

Had problems since being with Post office, was told we'd have to pay a hefty charge to come out of contract after weeks of contacting to sort broadband speed and connection, ended up being told best thing would be to upgrade which was more money a month to be then told we were going to be tied into another 12 month contract. Just before the end of this contract I called to inform them we were moving to be told we would be charged to end the contract but we could take it with us, when I called to tell them our moving date I was told we had to sign for another 12 months contract and the price was going up £1.50 per month, roll on next year we'll never be using these again, not sure why it took almost 2 weeks to get us up and running at the new address while we were paying for no service!!!!

Purchasing Post Office Braid Band should come with a Health Warning as their package also provides unnecessary stress, expense and time wasting.
What you need to be aware of is the advertised Brand Band speed is in fact correct - as it is supplied by another provider, so the speed into the property /router is perfectly fine, and that is all The Post Office guarantee
Where it all falls down is the quality of their router. Signals down to 9/10.
The arguments/statements I be given as I patiently tried over months of phoning to have the service satisfactorily rectified:
We only guarantee speed into the property
You can't expect to get a Lamborghini for the price of a Mondeo. What?
From the router, it will depend on the thickness of your walls
It depends how many devices you use - so if you have a laptop, and 2 mobiles i.e. then divide guaranteed speed by 3
I need a new ADSL filter - which I then bought at my expense. No improvement
You have a "rogue router". New router sent, no change
What you need is a range extender, that will put the signal all over your property. But if I haven't got a satisfactory signal from from router what is the point of extending that
After persevering for over 2 months I asked to be released from contract - yes I could at cost of £198 - What?
As I was not unreasonably looking to make mobile calls over Wifi and didn't expect to need to make landline calls, which I now had to and be charged extortionate rates.
I turned off all devices bar my mobile, sat mobile on top of the router, no Wifi call.
Called and asked if it was reasonable for me to expect hat service, at which point they released me without cancellation fee.
Go with anyone else for sanity and service. BT perfect. EE perfect. They have no problem - decent routers.

Customer service or not service as the case may be is more or less inaccessible the averge waiting time for an adviser is 48 min's an absolute joke. I had to go into work to EMAIL them and they don't even bother to acknowledge you. I wish I'd rwas the review's. Counting down till Sept so I can get a new provider

I recently changed to post office broadband as this was the best deal on the comparison website.
I have needed to contact them 6 times over the past 3 weeks. Emails take up to 5 days to be responded to and calls take between 20-30 minutes to be answered.
My internet on my laptop is slow.
My experience has been very negative and I would warn anyone against signing up to post office broadband.

Terrible customer service. Waited over 1 hour still didn't get through to technical support. Yet when you want to pay the bill it's less then a minute to speak to a representative. I have had nothing but problems with my internet. Spent hours on the phone running though the same thing over and over. Never reply to emails. Honestly my advise would be DO NOT and I repeat DON'T NOT take out broadband with the post office. You will regret it.
