This is by far the worst broadband provider I have seen in UK, slow service, continuous drop offs for broadband and sometimes it doesnt work for days. Stay away from vodafone

Very bad internet connection. In a week, im lucky to get 2 days of at least a good connection. A 3o minute video clip on youtube for example will take me an hour to finish. I had visitors from abroad who used my broadband wifi but got so embarassed because they were able to connect but of poor quality. Im paying about £96 a month for my broadband, landline and mobile but not getting what I should be getting. Few months back, the router was changed as they said there is something wrong with it but the problem of poor connection still exist.I hope Vodadone will look into this as its not fair that they take a lot from their customers and not providing the right service.

I signed up for Fibre 76 with a promise from the shop of 1 pound connection fee and a download speed of min 62 and max 76. A letter arrived from Vodafone welcoming me with the statement 'This letter and enclosed booklet make up your agreement with us,....' the letter states that the connection fee is 49 pounds and the speed is min 33.5 and max 45.41. Clearly these were not the terms agreed. A complaint using Vodafone's only available avenue which is e-mail has produced no response although the website promises a reply within 2 days if possible or 5 working days maximum. So far the period is 7 working days! A call back to the Vodafone shop was met with indifference, comments that everyone had the same complaint and that replies to complaints could take 7 MONTHS to get a reply. Having today received a text message from Vodafone welcoming me I rang the freephone number provided for queries, the polite English speaking call assistant explained lots of people were having the same billing problem and he could not comment on the download speeds promised, regarding the e-mail complaint not being answered he suggested I contact the complaints department by the only available means ie by e-mail to complain my complaint had not been answered - that seems a exercise in futility. NOT GOOD SERVICE VODAFONE - NIL POINTS

I asked for my router to be placed upstairs but engineer insisted I would get a good signal in all areas and put it downstairs. Always strong downstairs and weak upstairs. Am now changing provider as no effort to resolve this from Vodafone.

Do not get vodafone broadband. The signal is weak and cuts out as soon as there's a hustle of wind. We've been without Internet for several days and it has taken 3 hours and 4 phone calls to get them to finally agree to send an engineer and even then they booked the wrong day. I'm not asking for the world, just for them to do their job!

Call centre takes a minimum of 30 minutes to get through to. Vodafone decided to hike monthly charges mid contract which was unethical. Drop on line service was fairly common and the router not as good as previous BT one. A poor overall broadband and phone service supported by an even worse customer service experience. Have now chosen to leave because of this.

If I could give zero star, i would. I'm surprised vodafone is allowed to trade with the service they provide. This is just a daytime robbery. They promised so much and deliver so little. I signed up with them about three months ago and the landline has not worked. They strength of the wifi is the lowest we've ever had it. When we finally got through to someone he was full of excuses. Now the broadband has stopped working completely. Spent hrs on the phone with no answer. The phone eventually cut off. The service they offer is painful and OFCOM must act.

After using comparison websites went for Vodaphone. Contract then arrived showing a higher monthly payment than quoted, plus an immediate increase of CPI plus 3.9%! Cancelled immediately. Suggest you read any contract from Vodafone carefully.

I have been tricked into joining Vodafone SuperFast 2. On the website i clicked broadband and then superfast 2. It brings up a comparison against other leading broadband providers with a comparison of speed, upfront cost, line rental etc. In the Speed (it states Mbps) Vodafone 63 - Virgin 108 - Sky 63 - BT 67 - This would be fine but the problem is Vodafone are comparing there 'Sync' speed to the download speed of the others making the comparison a scam! I joined as i was expecting to get 75+ Mbps for a great price! Except my actual download speeds are 30-37 witch is the same as my previous provider and is actually the Speed one would expect from there SuperFast 1 deal. I contacted support and was told the following witch i have a copy of in my email.

    .............
Jessie : For my area CB98JS what is my Minimum download speed?
Richa : Can you please confirm the complete address?
    Jessie : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Richa : Thank you.
    Richa : Minimum guaranteed speed
    73.79 Mbit/s
Richa : Apart from this, is there anything else I can help you with?
Richa : Hi, are we still connected?
Jessie : Is that minimum download speed? Or sync speed or are they one and the same?
Richa : Ye right that's the same.
    Richa : Yes*
Jessie : That is all. Thank you

^^ This from is from vodafone stating that Sync and Download speed are one and the same!!!!! Then why am i receiving 30-37 Mbps? I will tell you why! They scammed me into this contract! Customers care about Speed! Upload/Download and latency aka ping and who can offer that at the best price and what customer service do they offer. My Sync speed could be 1000000000000 Mbps and i would still be downloading at 30-37 Mbps. that is just the speed the router comunicates to the exchange as long as that speed is high enough to not affect my expected Upload and Download speed and latency then why would i or anyone else care? How Vodafone actually get away with this stunt is amazing!!

Honestly dont join Vodafone Home Broadband You have no idea what ACTUAL Download and Upload Speeds You will be getting until Your in the contract! AVOID. The only positive i can think of is atleast even with all there speed lies and scam to grab customers the value for money is not bad i pay 36 a month and i get 30-36 mbps i know i should e=be getting double that but i fell for the sync speeds. Dont do the same! AVOID them at all costs! You have been warned

I waas with plsunet and was happy for 4 years but i switched to talktalk it was the biggest mistake ever i never got the speeds and before the first 30 days was up i switched to Vodafone. I get 50Mbps over Wifi and 70-80Mbps over Ethernet. I couldnt be happier. Get the speeds or money off my bill 100% recomended. If you dont mind typing or writing you have a instant messenger that puts you through to someone who is very helpfull. I wont be switching for long while if this is the service they continue to offer

I switch on fibre 76 Vodafone and I pay 60£ for new line. 1st day I was getting speed 60mbps and upload 17mbps. Next day start WiFi speed dropping to 10mbps and upload 15mbps. I contact support and they say my speed 1st 10days will be poor. After that router start saying it’s disable and I can’t do anything to set up my router WiFi setting because disabled. I connect to support about this issue and they couldn’t fix my this issue. They say try sometime and maybe will work. I will see 10 days more if speed improved.
I had TalkTalk fibre 35 and that was very good and wasn’t droping speed as Vodafone broadband.
Look to me bodafone bad but let see how it gonna be.

A VERY AVERAGE broadband service. I signed up for the 36mbps at £20 in March 2018. The router arrived on time and I was connected before 8AM on the scheduled day, so everything went smoothly. I never had issues with billing, and never contacted Customer Service so cannot comment on its efficiency. The speed was consistently as advertised. However, the reliability of the broadband itself is very average and only really suitable for very light users. On a wired network, the connection would drop out approximately 4-5 times a day. I found the biggest issues with the router and Wi-Fi. My Samsung TV would struggle to stream HD movies, so buffering was a major headache. And the range of the router was very weak in a standard 3 bedroom semi, with smartphones unable to connect a lot of the time. I found this broadband wasn't kind to 3-4 devices simultaneously connected. These issues were bearable up until February/March 2019 when they dramatically worsened. I tried changing the settings on the router, but no luck. And I wasn't in the mood to spar with Customer Service with BT offering a good deal at the time (despite BT's abysmal customer service and horrendous setup issues, it's 50mbps I previously found was reliable and suitable for my medium user needs), so I terminated my Vodafone contract early (which cost me around £50). Vodafone was then the cheapest I've paid for fibre broadband, but not recommended as it couldn't handle standard expectations of the service.

I will give them o stars. The worst customer service!!! My WiFi got cancelled one day for no reason, I wasn't even informed and for a month I struggled to get it back, but only got lied to. I had to also pay for it for a month when it didn't work. Will never use Vodafone again.

Main problem is every time I’ve moved house, Vodophone mess up the order and it can take up to 2 months to get connected. When I’ve tried to phone them, I’m either on hold for upwards of over .Or like this evening, I was cut off 6 times.

Don’t do it. There’s a reason why they are cheap. No issues with broadband in 5 years since I have owned this property. And now....problems daily. My broadband drops out minimum 10 times per day. 2 BT engineers later who have said nothing wrong with the line, and a new Vodafone router and the problem persists. The people on their customer service line are quite friendly and relatively helpful but the honest truth is that they haven’t fixed my problem despite in excess of 8 hours on the end of the phone to them. Go somewhere with a history of providing good broadband service.....Vodafone is not it

The worst broadband service I ever had.

It began with 5 days delay for the activation date, followed by one month of no connection due to a fault with the line, during that entire period customer service at first could not determine what was wrong then found out that OpenReach had to send an engineer.
the engineer's visit was delayed twice, then he appeared unannounced and asked to enter the premises despite Vodafone explicitly telling me the engineer will NOT require access to the premises.
he got in, and could NOT fix the issue. a rebooking was required and I had to wait another week. OpenReach CANCELLED that appointment because Vodafone did NOT follow up with them!!
booking ANOTHER appointment was necessary, and again I had to wait another week. the engineer shows up and fixes the problem with the line.
I got good speeds for a couple of days, then the sync speed dropped to one-quarter of the guaranteed minimum speed, I called Vodafone and they claimed they will fix the issue. the very next day, broadband goes OFF completely.
I called them today and they told me that an engineer's visit was necessary AGAIN, and I have to wait until next week, and that it was not guaranteed an engineer will be able to make the visit within the three days timeframe!!
through that entire experience, I was continuously thanked for being patient, but it's not about patience anymore, it's about extremely bad service and unprecedented unreliability and incompetent logistical management.
I will be cancelling the contract with Vodafone, and I cannot imagine why they should charge me a penny for this insane service.
if I could give a zero star review I would've.

Moved to Vodafone 76mb package from BT Infinity 2. BT's obfuscated billing drove me away. Vodafone package is £30/mth for 18 months, no additional line rental - simple! Switchover was seamless. There was a little variation in sync speeds initially, but this has now settled down. I have a slightly slower sync than I was getting with BT, but never any disconnections. I am using the supplied router for DHCP and modem purposes only, everything comes in through a separate wireless access point. Some people have reported that the Vodafone router can't handle more than a few wireless connections - I have had no such issues. I contacted Vodafone customer services via live chat to get my authentication details, which they will provide if you quote an Openreach-approved router that you want to switch to. Now I'm using the Vodafone router as stated, this is no longer required, but good to know you can use your own equipment if preferred. Happy customer so far.

Just came out of 18 months Superfast 1 broadband contract with Vodafone. During contract had a few occasions when our speed dropped out completely & struggled to load the most basic websites even on wired connections. That seem to sort itself out after a few times & it was rather stable eventually. But as soon as our contract was up for renewal & we chose to stay on the package we were on at the lower price, our wifi all but stopped working literally overnight. 3G was better, even sitting next to the router is was getting 0.7Mbps. Too much of a coincidence for my liking. I'm not one to have a go at a supplier for poor quality product, I just change away...which I did. I don't see why I need to waste my time chasing a supplier to give me the best possible product which I'm paying for.

The customer service is absolutely appalling. To be a Vodafone customer you need hours and hours to spare sat on hold and then when you do finally talk to someone they will promise you all sorts that will not materialise and you will never speak to them again. I would not recommend anyone uses Vodafone.

Don't waste your time. I went through 2 online advisors, checking the package I was to order, referencing with the postcode etc. only for the payment to be refused. A 30 minute phone call later I'm told they couldn't even provide internet to my area, and it's my fault for not checking first - despite the back and forth via online chat. And apparently, it's also partly my fault for not realising that the link from a price comparison website does not take you to Vodafone's site, but a 3rd party site... Better off spending your money elsewhere.

The most appalling service I have ever experienced. Spent over half an hour on the phone ordering. Received the router and waited ten days for the activation date. Date came and passed with no contact. Phoned Vodafone and was eventually told that contract had been cancelled without informing me. After initially being told this was because fibre was not available for my address several calls later I was eventually told all was due to their operator typing in my postcode incorrectly. My choice thereafter was to wait 72hrs for them to reinstate the order and then wait another 10-14days for the activation OR to register as a new customer spend 30-40mins on the phone giving all my details again and then still wait 10-14 day for activation. At this point it was easier to go with another company having wasted a total 4 hours on the phone.

Don't go for Vodafone for broadband. The service is patchy and unreliable and the customer experience is just horrendous.

We moved house just over a month ago. When researching what broadband was on offer and how much it would cost, Vodafone looked too good to be true. Unfortunately it turns out there is a reason for that. The service is unreliable, which makes it impossible to work from home, fill in a form, or basically do anything that requires the internet being on for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Absolutely shocking customer service - the worst I've experienced. From the first issue, we tried to contact Vodafone through an assortment of channels - including customer service line (where each time we had to queue for an hour before speaking to anyone), Twitter (where we were totally ignored) and through the official online complaint form (and even this was totally ignored).

When we have got through to someone on the phone, despite being polite they have not been able to explain why we are having such issues. A couple of them got us to try a few things and said "that should be fixed for you now" or "it'll be working again in four to five days" but sadly, we have continued to experience the same problems for weeks.

If I could rewind the clock, we definitely would have chosen for a more expensive provider with better customer service and more reliable broadband. This wasn't worth saving a few pennies.

Moved house on the 6th January 2023, Vodafone confirmed an activation date of 12th January, this was delayed and delayed.. eventually it was confirmed for the 24th January and the BT engineer visited the property, did what he needed to do and all that was left was Vodafone to activate the line.. nothing for days, chased them and it was clear there was a fault with the router, promised an engineer would visit within 24 hours, nothing!! I complained on the 4th February and cancelled that day with them, went with Sky instead and the process was so smooth and I have broadband. Honestly the stress and upset Vodafone caused is unbelievable, I won’t even use them again.

Stay far, far away ! Absolutely shocking service. Activated Nov'19, had reasonable service until March this year. Have a long list of complaints registered with them with their promises of fixes. Supposed to be on Superfibre 2, ha! That's a joke in itself, speeds so slow it would be quicker on 4G, sent screenshots of speed tests but I must be lying as their app and gear says 80 when Ookla states 35 ! Terrible customer service, totally ignored, promises made and then not kept. If I could afford to break their contract I would. Awful, money grabbing company with no customer service at all.

Worst I’ve ever had even compared to standard non fibre. Drops out regularly . Roku and Sky frequently need to be logged in. App always indicates speed around 50 while speed tests can indicate 5 or 7. Phones lose signal so one is now on 4G permanently.

Vodafone Broadband has been brilliant in the Highlands, they are far more stable an internet provider than my previous provider (John Lewis & Plus-net) - I always get my advertised speeds and the connection is stable which is good in comparison to John Lewis who unfortunately used artificial bandwidth throttling.

Went from talk talk to Vodafone after getting pestered by them and saying how good it is. I’m 32 years old with ms so spend a lot of time watching tv in my room. It’s okish during the day but after 4 to 5 o’clock onward can’t watch tv with buffering. Try to get through to speak to them and get that tobi annoying wee thing. 1.2 download every night. Shocking and will be advising anyone who asks not to go near them.

I am actually quite impressed - so I was on Sky and was having constant dropouts getting worse and worse, with the useless Sky call centre telling me there was no problem, there was just traffic on the line, and no point Openreach coming out.

I switched to Vodafone and was obviously having the same issue, as I suspected it was a line fault. A few minutes on the webchat with Vodafone and they confirmed there was an issue, said they'd send an engineer round if they couldn't fix it virtually. Openreach engineer came round within 3 days, and seems to have found/fixed the issue. I'm impressed with their customer service, haven't tried the call centre but the guys on the webchat are helpful.

Reliability is so poor. It’s crashes 2-3 times a day even we the house isn’t full.
Customer service takes a long time to speak to somebody. Was given another booster which had no impact. Other 4 times I’ve contacted them, I was told to move the extender around the room a bit. They test a strong signal but it’ll crash daily still.
The price was also been put up to cover costs.

Please don’t use. I’ll go back to BT as soon as I can get out of this contract.
