01/03/2024 booked my broadband to be installed on the 14/03/2024, I have taken a day off work UNPAID to make sure I was some when the engineer turned up.
I have now received a text stating that the engineer could not start the install today, to which I have called sky strait away.
Cut the bull**** out, sky CS said that apparently when the engineer knocked on the door that there was no answer.
Baring in mind I have a dog in the house that barks when there is someone at the door, he can hear everything, even a needle dropping in the floor.
After arguing with CS they advised me that the next available appointment was 4/04/2024 which isn’t good enough, that is a month after when I first booked to be installed.
CS then come back to me and said that he has spoken to his supervisor and that I can have an AM slot on the 25/03/2024, to which is taking another day off work UNPAID
So not only am I in the house with no broadband for nearly a month, I am also 2 days off work unpaid..
Sums sky up to be honest.

I am paying over £32 a month, i am supposed to get 20 megabyte's which continually keeps dropping down to between 1 & 3 megabyte's. Which makes it impossible to do the trading online as i need a steady fast connection. If you are looking for a reliable speed and connection i would not use SKY Broadband!

The speed I get has gone down to .3mbps from .83mbps when I rang up to ask for help I was expected to be BT expert at looking at wires. Then The lady was cut off and failed to come back to me. Frankly SKY is the pits!!!

I've had problems, with installation within house and exterior lines. Not sure if any of it is Sky's fault, but they have got OpenReach out for the exterior problems and an engineer for my interior issue and I wouldn't fault their customer service. Expensive and they penalise you for not taking their TV so couldn't recommend.

I moved from EE via a recommendation but I wish I just stayed with EE. First the agent told me yes it would definitely be activated a week from that day and that worked perfect for me. This was around the 21 Nov. 2.5 weeks later still no service. I started to call in and all I was getting was 24- 72 hours it would be activated. I was very angry and I wanted some honesty as to what was going on. I ended up speaking to a patronising manager who said I had to pretty much wait. Why wasn’t all this communicated to me prior to order. It’s now 26th December and still no internet. The agent assured me it would definitely be on for Christmas. I have all the recordings and I.d numbers of the agents I spoke with. They offered me a disappointing 3 month’s half price line rental. Not enough. Sky don’t treat customers like this

Sky cancelled the order, without telling us and leaving us waiting for 2 weeks. Then we had to place order again... We had to contact Sky for this, they did not contact us.
More than 2 weeks later, after placing another order and internet due to be activated on ##/11/15, still no activation the next day.
No contact from Sky on both occasions to explain why we have not been activated or why the service we are paying for is not on.
Over 1 month with no internet, which has caused problems with work and cost us far more money than the service costs.
Will not recommend Sky to anyone, quite the opposite.

After being a long suffering TalkTalk broadband customer we switched to Sky Talk and unlimited broadband. Wow, am I impressed. Firstly the level of communication from Sky prior to and during my migration, fantastic. Connection happened on the day as promised and line is still being tested for stability, speed at beginning was 4Mbps as Sky advised and each day it goes up a notch or two..now up to 14.8Mbps, a speed never seen on our line before. Looking forward to tomorrow to see if it increases further, already it's bordering on double what TalkTalk achieved when it worked. Even the call clarity on the line is better..no crackles like TT. Supplied Sagemcom router works great too with a better range than the range max netgear router it replaced. I can honestly say I am extremely impressed..and can find no room for improvement at all..first class!!

As mentioned by others, if I could give minus stars I would.
I have been without broadband now for 3 months due to a broken cable - tried reporting it through Sky who are an embarrassment themselves. Every time I call up to complain I get a new appointment in 2 weeks, they send an engineer out who either isn't allowed to deal with the cables or doesn't have the skillset to fix. That is 4 visits down so far and another booked for 11 days time...
Any escalation point? No. Can I speak to Openreach directly? No. Are my hands totally tied having to tether off my work phone? Yes. Rhetorical questions aside, my work have been charged £13,000 by Vodafone for the data I have used just to be able to carry out my job from home. I am looking at a disciplinary procedure as a result of this and I'm sure a fair share of the bill.
I tried to contact BT Openreach who said they'd send out an engineer in 4 hours... no engineer turned up.
I am an ex-police officer so the phrase "I pay your wages." is pretty hated... but in this case, don't my taxes, broadband payments actually pay their wages?
Sky Broadband - you are a joke, you are of no help, your complaints procedure is laughable.
I currently have a complaint on my account which will get resolved when they get my account up and running. But they can't get me up and running... so it means absolutely nothing. The people at Sky I am speaking to have no authority, they apparently don't have any line management or escalation points.
Between BT Open Reach and Sky - I don't even know what to say other than there is more use in a fart in a lift.
The people are nice on the phone though.

Changed from BT fibre which was poor and now starting to regret it. The speed is much faster than BT's offering, but The Sky service keeps on dropping out - every day without fail and throughout the day. It's so frustrating for every member of my family!!'n

Don’t even deserve the 1 star!! Telling us that we have upgraded our package when we haven’t! Swore blind to them that neither me or my boyfriend have put the pin in at all. Bill is supposed to be £40 a month. £70 this month because apparently we have ordered box sets! Telling us that they won’t take it off of our package so our new bill each month is £70. You mugs! 2 weeks before Christmas and we have a baby on the way! Only been with you 2 months! Can not wait to leave you! Can’t afford £70 a month which is why we agreed to £40.
Just looked at all of your other reviews and I am disgusted that you can treat your customers this way!

DO NOT USE SKY! The customer service is atrocious, you will be lucky if you even get through to someone and when you do they are rude and unhelpful. You would think Sky (a massive corporation) would treat their customers better than this. I will be moving to a different provider (the stress isn't worth the money saved TRUST ME)

I found my experience with Sky to be the worst ever. The accountability for their poor and unreliable service was minimal, communication was poor. I would never use them again or recommend anyone too. Terrible and extremely disappointing!

Its difficult to now where to start. I have a hearing disability to around 70% loss (I lost my hearing when I was three) so I don't do phone that well. When I originally joined Sky I was promised face to face at one of there sales hubs and promised they would help translate with there tech services an tech problems I had. Once I signed I was told not to contact any face to face Sky personal and ring instead. This causes me no end of problems as I don't do phones. 2 years ago I had a buzzing on my phone which was not sorted because it seems they don't like a loud deaf person on the phone.
This week my broadband kept dropping off and now it seems I have annoyed customer services again by being unproductive when I call and they will only do troubleshooting via email now. 5 hours and over 30 emails and they could not even sort out which type of phone socket I have and they call me unproductive in my conversations. Now they want to send out an engineer to tell them the type of phone socket I have. Sky has informed me that there will be no verbal by phone conversation as the calls were unproductive. What do they expect when they insist I speak on the phone. I have gone through 10 troubleshooting scenarios each one the same and nothing happens. Even if I did not have a hearing disability I would still say avoid this company like the plague.
Why do top end telecommunication companies feel the need to supply abysmal, pathetic and abusive customer services. I wonder why Ofcom alow this situation to go on.

I was guaranteed minimum access speed of 27.4mb on my Sky Fibre contract. Its only ever been 20-22mb. I had a Sky engineer come to test internally and externally to find out what the issue was. When left he told me the connection was 30mb, I run about a dozen Broadband Speed tests..is was 3-6mb he had made it worst. This lasted for about 3 weeks. Now its at 23mb. Disappointed with SKY to be honest.

utter appalling. Bought a WiFi booster to try and improve the reception but no different. They promised me 53mbps but when I go on comparison sites I'm lucky to be getting 22mbps. Rang Sky and they said not to trust the comparison sites!!!!!!!! Sky claim its the speed going into the house not the WiFi reception indoors, never heard such rubbish. If I move outside, which is 6 metres away from the router, I lose all signal and thats in a direct line from the router with no obstructions. Currently got 12 months of an 18 month contract to go so can't move yet. My sister-in-law is experiencing this problem. I would avoid these like the plague. Cannot wait to move provider. I rang to complain and because I do not pay them £5 per month wifi guarantee (they already get over £100 a month out of me) they won't entertain my complaint. Utter rubbish broadband provider

Awful, honestly is, I wouldn't be here leaving a review otherwise. Where do I even start? Always dipping in connection and fed up with it, this is an understatement as well, I try ring up but get left on hold for ages so what's the point in that? Just overall not happy with this service.

THE BROADBAND IS ABSOLUTELY DIER! I AM SAT 4ft AWAY FROM THE WIFI BOX AND MY PHONE IS GETTING A 1 BAR CONNECTION.
THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015 AND I'VE NEVER BEEN SATISFIED.
If you live alone and have one phone you'll just about get away with it but if you have kids with laptops and gaming consoles or need to watch youtube videos above the lowest quality, GET VIRGIN MEDIA

Stay Clear from them, they seems to be in panic mode after BT sport and all this internet TV and running Fraud Offers in there website.
I ordered Fibre broadband online and then via webchat confirred with their chat guy about £75 M&S voucher for new connection, however after activation its been 45 days no sign of voucher, when I called they are saying its only with Broadband not with Fibre, clear lie on the face of it, I will leave as soon as my contract ends.

It’s fine while it’s working but customer service is execrable. I lost my phone line 2 days ago and was involved in an interminable exchange of texts asking me to upload photos, dismantle the connection box and heaven knows what else with periods of half an hour or so each time they needed to reply. Took 3 and a half hours before they booked an engineer call. Now my broadband is down and I’m having a repeat of the experience. Life is too short to use sky phone and broadband!

Service was fine for 4 years but then turned into the worst thing ever - kept dropping out, anything from every 2 hours to every 3 minutes. I have had to go into a cold, dark, empty office every day the past 2 weeks because my internet is dropping all day long, making WFH impossible.
When I called the call centre, the guy said there was no issue, it was because of new users being set up in my area, ADSL was just "prone to it" and I should upgrade to Fibre to get rid of the problem! Yeah right! I moved providers instead.
Also I paid for 19mbps but got about 1-5, even though the Sky website always said I was getting 19.

Their customer services are among the best I've used which is one of the reasons I've stayed with them over the years, but the broadband speeds in our area are rubbish. I am supposed to get up to 24MB and my latest speed test shows I get around 4.

Horrendous support. Sky makes is almost impossible to reach them for problems as they have this annoying bot that takes you in loops- both when calling and online. The promises made on their speed are a blatant lie and then despite guarantee to not charge if a certain speed hapoen - full price is charged!

Extremely poor customer service. Waited in all day after arranging with sky and receiving a text message at 6am confirming 2 engineers were coming today to install television package and broadband. Television engineer showed up. Broadband engineer didn't although when I looked online it told me they were on there way. Tried to text sky customer service who didn't respond. After an hour on the telephone explaining I had paid for this connection and taken a day off work and still have no internet. They told me the installation had been rearranged, without my authority or anyone bothering to phone me and tell me. They offered me £10 off my bill and 1 free film for the inconvenience. I now need to take another day off work to get the Internet installed. What a joke, been put on hold I don't know how many times, really bad customer service with nobody taking responsibility. if I could get virgin media here I would have cancelled and gone to them.
