Incredibly unreliable broadband. Cuts out and buffers all the time and when you ring customer services they tell you the speed is fine. Struggling to get 5mb most days.

The worst broadband I have ever had the misfortune of using. It constantly loses connection; at least 5 times a day. It crashes online games consistently. Web pages take ages to load. I am extremely disappointed with this broadband and will be swapping to a different one ASAP. Do not waste your time or money on this awful wifi.

Lost my service six months ago . They checked the line several times and stated that it was live. Several router resets didn’t work. They eventually sent an engineer who found that the line was dead and had been that way for many months. He also found that the router was not working properly. Eventually a new router was sent but was poor quality and didn’t work effectively.
Became so frustrated having laid for no service for six months to be offered £30 as a goodwill gesture. Tried to cancel the contract but they refused stating that they would charge me.
This company is awful. Don’t even consider taking a contract with them .

I've been with the Post Office Broadband, that is now Shell Energy, for over two years. I've found their consumer services personnel always very helpful. I've had problems on several occasions with the service dropping out but this was nothing to do with the Post Office internet provider. On each occasion it was a BT Openreach fault and their poor landline service and their inadequacies in correcting faults. Sadly most providers rely on BT Openreach to deliver their broadband service

They're used to be called "Fuel Broadband", which were the same rubbish hardly reaching 0.6MB/s, but at least they didn't throttle. Now, since moved to "Post Office" - it's a complete disaster. Working from home is nightmare - they disconnect randomly with no reason as they see some spikes in broadband uses. Forget about streaming anything live - it's constantly buffering. Since you can't stream anything, you'll have to download and the torrents would be just throttled to next to nothing. Cowboys! Shame there's no fibre in my run-down area. As soon as I get it, I'll switch to it with no doubt, even though my contract end in December. Even sending this reply disconnected my internet (copy/paste is your answer)..

Couldn't move in for 2 weeks because the installation date was different to the one I was told on the phone when signing up. Fault on the line for the entire year's contract which was never fixed. Broadband cutting out every day for entire contract. Speed was pretty low. After hours on the phone to try to get it sorted still nothing. One customer services rep told me to repeat the exact same thing I had been told to do 8 times already, I told him it didn't work and he said "why don't you fix your own internet then?" and just argued with me instead of helping me. Had to report him, phone again to get someone else, and also take a call from his manager to ask about why I wanted to report him. Still after all that the problem wasn't fixed. I cancelled contract at earliest opportunity. After end of contract they continued to send me bills to an address I no longer lived at (rather than contact me by email as they had always done previously) asking me to keep paying. Obviously I didn't receive the letters, they didn't bother to contact me by email even though all my previous bills were sent by email, so by the time I found out about it they had started to threaten to affect my credit rating. I called them to ask why they were sending me bills, and they said I hadn't cancelled the contract (I had). They refused to accept this and kept asking for money, even though I told them the exact date and time I called to cancel should they want to go back and check the recorded call. After a long complain email they finally accepted they were wrong and stopped requesting money, I asked to make sure they hadn't affected my credit rating with this shambles but no one ever bothered to reply. Completely horrific experience, the worst I have had with any company I have ever used for anything.

We've been with the Post office for home phone and broadband for years. They have always been brilliant. The internet speed is good, connectivity is excellent and customer service is excellent. WE have found them to be very helpful and polite, always. We recently moved house and they made the internet/phone move easy. Well done PO.
