It’s easy to get in touch with Vodafone if you’re having any problems with your broadband or mobile phone. The customer care team are on hand every day of the week.
If you’re having issues with your broadband service, or you’d like to speak to someone about a billing matter, you can get in touch with a member of the support team by phone, live chat or social media.
Let’s look at the ways you can get any issues sorted quickly...
How to contact Vodafone broadband support and customer service
You’ve got a few options for getting in touch with Vodafone. Live Chat (TOBi Chat) is available as well as a call centre. On top of that, for small issues, there’s a helpful online community.
Vodafone customer service contact number
The Vodafone customer service phone number is 0333 304 0191. Or you can dial 191 from a Vodafone mobile.
Vodafone customer service opening hours are between 8am-8pm, seven days a week.
Vodafone broadband live chat - TOBi
Vodafone offers a live chat as an alternative to telephone support. Known as TOBi, this is a sophisticated digital assistant available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To access this, visit the Vodafone contact page and start a chat with the automated service.
If you find that TOBi isn't able to solve the issue, you will be forwarded to a live agent if available.
Vodafone recently closed its community support online forum.
My Vodafone app
With the My Vodafone app you can manage your account, check bills and make payments, but you can also use it to troubleshoot problems.
Recognising that it can be annoying to have to repeat your issues if you make multiple calls, the 'Just Ask Once' feature, means one person will handle your query from start to finish. You can then use the app as a messenger service, and receive updates on your troubleshooting status until it's sorted.
How to check Vodafone service status - is Vodafone broadband down?
If it looks as if there’s a problem with your Vodafone home broadband, and you’re having issue with your broadband speeds, you’ve got a few options to try before contacting customer services.
First of all, check it’s not an issue with your equipment. Reboot your devices and then your Wi-Fi router. If it doesn’t come back online, our connection issues may lie with the network.
If you want to check the service status, head over to the official Vodafone service status page. While localised problems may not be flagged, they may have a notice about wider network issues.
You can also make use of Downdetector, a third-party site that tracks service outages.
If there’s a network problem, you’ll have to wait until it’s fixed. Customer services won’t be able to help and could be overwhelmed with calls. But you should get in touch with customer support if you can’t find any information about a known network issue.

What to do before you complain to Vodafone
Troubleshoot the problem
Try your best to tackle any technical problems yourself first. Vodafone has a number of technical support guides, and you can log in to your account to test your broadband connection and attempt a fix.Document everything
Keep a record of times, dates and calls. If you speak to anyone at Vodafone customer service, take their name. Document all speed test records and any other relevant data that could help. These can all be helpful if you have to escalate your complaint.Make sure your complaint is valid
Broadband speed
Ask for assistance if your Vodafone broadband service is slower than expectations for your postcode. But double-check your contracts. At the point of sale, you should have been given a speed estimate, which may be different to the advertised package speed. If your broadband speed persistently falls below this estimate, you have grounds to take this further.
Check with a tool like the Broadband Genie Speed Test. Run multiple tests at different times over several days.
Service problems
If a broadband complaint relates to traffic management or blocked website, you may not have much success in complaining. Though if you feel like the limits are restrictive, and you weren't made aware of them when you signed your contract, you may still have a case.Mis-selling & overcharging
Complaining about the cost of a service is unlike to change things, unless it's significantly different to the broadband deal you were initially sold. Vodafone now raises its prices by £3.50 per month every April. Customers are obliged to pay these price hikes, and it's set out in its terms and conditions. We have a guide to mid-contract price rises you may find helpful.Customer service
If you feel Vodafone's customer service isn't listening to your problems, ask to escalate the complaint to more senior staff members.
