I was highly recommended by friends to go with Vodafone for my broadband connection as they were always satisfied and never had any problems with the company. Upon vodafone due to take the first direct debit payment, the money was made available by myself in my bank account to Vodafone from 21st May the 1st payment date, this was available until 4th June until the bank put the money back into my account as it was not taken! Upon the 23rd June I had a email as well as a text message to state that my account was in arrears, I was alarmed to receive this so I rung customer services. I spoke with a team member who advised me that this was the banks fault, and also tried to make out that the bill amount was never made available, of which was not the case. The following day my broadband connection was cut off and I also went into my bank to find out why they did not release the funds, the branch manager assured me visually on my account that the funds were available and Vodafone chose not to take the money! I feel the memberw of the customer service team and complaints department are rude, unhelpful and provide you with false and unfactual information. I also feel that they had a cheek to offer me £10 and then £15 compensation for the inconvenience, I explained that I feel that this was unacceptable as It caused me financial stress/difficulties as well as financial loss due to having to go into my overdraft to pay the full amount as well as the arrears off, so I could have my broadband connection turned back on!! After all this is not the customers problem if Vodafone as company do not take the payment for this service! Otherwise the speed and the reliability is great! Vodafone sort out your customer care and service as it is very poor, unprofessional and ignorant!!

I changed to Vodafone superfast 2,last Thursday 18 June.I'd been withhTalk,Talk for 10 years & wasn't impressed with their set up,so,I thought I'd change,MY GOD!! what a mistake, theres only 2 of us,no kids, this broadband wouldn't even support the 3 wireless cctv camera's we have. This has caused all sorts of stress & tension between us,anyway,today,Wednesday,24 June,2020,I cancelled it.Take my advice,DON'T bother with Vodafone.I spent over 1 hour on 2 occasions being passed from pillar to post when I phoned, only on BOTH occasions being left that long ,the line went dead.In a word Garbage

Awful speed.
Then we tried to organise a home move. OMG. Left for 3 weeks with no internet. Lost our precious home phone number and ended up cancelling contract.
Customer services were awful. Spent around 10 hrs trying to resolve the issue. Could not get speaking to anyone who could actually help me.
Avoid

Awful customer service and incompetent staff
I have had Vodafone broadband for over one year now and recently tried to arrange a house move. Vodafone are unable to supply at my new property and after what they have put me through i`m glad.
I gave them the date I was moving, which was in July and that was agreed as my disconnection date. They assured me that it would be 30 days before i disconnected which would take me past my move out date. 2-3 days later, they have disconnected me and have now told me it is up to 14 days to reconnect.
I rely on internet immensely for my job like most of us. I was bounced around different departments and "managers" and told to expect various phone calls throughout the day which did not happen.
So now with 3 weeks to go until i move, I have no internet thanks to the incompetence of Vodafone. I was also told at one point I was going to be compensated and be put through to the billing team...never happened. I am going to progress forward with legal action.
My phone is also with them and i will be expediting a move from their awful service.

I have had various ISPs and Vodafone has been decent (a couple of minutes-long outages) but down-stream bandwidth are consistently above 20Mbps (mostly 40Mbps) which is good enough for my IPsec, streaming and kids' usage. Had experienced loads of other ISPs for myself and supporting colleagues' home internet during lockdown, so far Vodafone (decent), BT (mostly decent), Zen (good), Sky (ok-ish), Now (meh-ok), Virgin (where's the rest of 480Mb?) and Origin (god no).

Avoid! A couple o days in my new contract with them lost the promised internet speed.Instead of 55 I was getting 8-15. This is ridiculous. After numerous attempts calling them every time they gave me different answers, technical issues which they still working on. I had enough I said I want to cancel my contract. They said 30 days notice which is 17 of July. Here I am on 19th of June and they cut off my internet. No internet, I can't get over to customer service and it looks like I can't get internet for the next 4 weeks. It is unbelievable that they can do this. Bye-bye netflix!

Vodaphone has the worst customer service. Spent over 5 hours on several phone calls but no resolution. Had to cancel in the end, very frustrating talking to lots of people and explaining it over and over again. Moved house twice in the last 6 months and both times they have disconnected the broadband weeks before we were due to move. They tried to blame openreach for disconnecting us but they were told the correct dates at least 10 times. Terrible company, not supportive of key workers and those who need to work from home, avoid at all costs.

So far I have had no issues with Vodafone since switching from PlusNet (Who started charging £40pm for a below-average service). Vodafone genuinely seems quicker to me (Perhaps their router is better?) and I haven't had any internet dropouts (Of which mini ones were a constant pain with Plusnet). The added bonus with Vodafone is that their customer service so far has been great (Despite Covid) and I'm paying much less. Top marks and as long as this continues then I won't be looking anywhere else. I would highly recommend!

NEW JOINERS BEWARE (AVOID AT ALL COSTS): After using Vodafone broadband for over a year now, I found that my internet regularly dropped to around 7 Mbps (made video calls painful and voice calls difficult) and sometimes as low as 0.12 Mbps (completely unusable) with the contract stating average speeds of 35 Mbps. After numerous exchanges with the technical team at Vodafone (who seemed like they didn't really care and gave cookie-cutter responses) I decided that by upgrading my internet may solve my problem. I contacted the Vodafone sales team (who was equally stand-offish) asking for an upgrade only to be told that I would be tied down with yet ANOTHER 24 month contract, THEY EVEN SUGGESTED I LEAVE AND PAY THE LEAVING FEE TO EXIT MY CURRENT CONTRACT!! I have never experienced such poor customer service in my entire life, let alone by such a large company.

Hi, For sometime I have been using Vodaphone and they were the best could find. However I have noticed their customer service has improved for better of late. A recent call for a new modem was serviced promptly. I then had an issue with the line dropping and had excellent customer service from a chap Called Mohamed. Thank you Mohamed and he fixed my issue while I was on the call. Promised to phone me tomorrow to check too. Well done on the improvement. Thank you

They have obviously over sold their bandwidth so cannot supply their customers, but keep on advertising. Bottom line don't go there.

It took over 10 days from the date given for the service to become live, was given different reasons everytime I contacted their help line. The speeds to the Hub are fast but then not the same from the Hub even with a ethernet connection. As its still fairly early the speeds do drop now and then, hopefully it should stabilise soon.

Terrible. Avoid it. It stops working at least once a week. Have to spend ages with customer services (online chat with a call centre in India). I regret having moved from SSE.

For quite some time I'd had instability with the connection. It would drop out maybe a couple of times a day and then reconnect after a period of time but it was an inconvenience. The vodafone support asked me to make some DNS changes but that didn't really solve it and I got used to it. Speed was ok for the first year or so but since the lockdown my speed in the evenings plummetted from 72mbps to often less than 1mpbs. I phoned Vodafone as it seemed to me that it would be congestion related. Their first level support did what they could, making wifi changes, disabling a firewall and eventually I got a new router. The new router made no difference and eventually I was promised an engineer visit. No engineer actually came but I got a call from a L2 support person who told me that the reason I was getting slow performance in the evening was the link was 90% congested and someone would put me onto a different segment within one or 2 days. 6 days later and no sign of any engineer so I phoned them up to find out what was going on. You get all of the assurances that they will solve your problem immediately and all that waffle but eventually again I got put through to a L2 guy who told me that I was waiting for a new cablelink to be run in the street so they couldn't put a time frame on it. At that point they did offer to suspend my billing but it was too late. If you read around, you'll find I'm not the only one that has been in this position- lucky for me I'm out of contract now so I get BT installed on June 10th. Very disappointed with Vodafone - currently running my house of my mobile phone hotspot in the evening while I wait for the new connection. Good riddance.

Gosh ! Don’t mean to be so negative but we’ve never had such poor everything from a broadband provider before. Customer service is terrible. The app is terrible. (“You are receiving speeds far below our standards- click here and we will discount your bill by 15%}. Except they don’t. It’s meaningless as you have to try and speak to their call centre to process this. Utter waste of time! The speeds are appalling. I have nothing good to add. Sorry. Avoid avoid avoid! Can’t wait for our contract to end.

Avoid, not sure where they get their router from, but the download speeds are very temperamental, I was on talktalk fibre before I moved over as I thought it might be worth while being a mobile customer as well.
My talk talk speeds never changed nor did the connection ever drop. live in a 1 bed flat and the vodaphone connection struggles to keep up, sometimes the internet speeds are fine,a lot of the time it takes for ever, can’t wait to go back to talktalk

I've had 2 new routers in the last few months. My internet has gone down several times in the last week. I've contacted support every time and although they are helpful the service keeps going down. Their support is based in India so their standard of English isn't great which is a bit frustrating. Poor value for money. Wouldn't recommend.

We have had a vodafone mobile contact for a while which has been reliable and we haven't had any issues. Our broadband was due for renewal and with what sounded like a fantastic deal we thought we would give it a try. I must say the we are slightly disappointed, there is a lot of buffering despite the fact that it should be faster download speeds. We Havd also experienced problems with access to account information on the phones since charging. In regards to customer service I have struggled to understand some of the customer service advisor. I have struggled to get WiFi in the garden. Personally I would have rathered have paid more and get better Internet.
I don't normally do negative reviews but wishing I'm taken notice of previous reviews.

So I signed up to broadband back end of 2019, to begin with speed and reliability was not a problem. We wasn't getting the stated speed but they matched the price of the next tier down. 2020 arrives. Speed is appalling (1 hour to download 500mb file) Speed to internet has been throttled down so low, that it would be quicker to go back to 56k modem and dial up. (videos on Youtube stutter like hell, remember the buffer face with Kevin Bacon. Yeah that's it.)
Won't be stopping around with them and I suggest you don't either.

Deplorable.
I cannot even begin to express my anger with Vodafone.
I work as a Consultant for the NHS, often work out of hours from home and I'm reliant on Broadband connectivity for the welfare of my patients.
Our broadband was down for 3 months from beginning of December 2019 through to March 2020! Yes, 3 months. I live in London.
Each week Vodafone said that it will be addressed. Days, weeks and months passed. I was asked to carry out the same rudimentary checks to our router when the problem was a wider Openreach issue. Vodafone had no idea what was going on, said one thing, then another.
It was only due to the care and attention shown by an Openreach engineer who took our personal number that the issue was resolved. He could not believe that it took so long to resolve. Vodafone maintained that the issue was closed weeks prior to any actual connection.
Following reconnection we are now facing a bill of over £600!
We have taken the matter to dispute resolution.
I am truly, truly angry with Vodafone. I do not understand how they are allowed to operate with such appalling operations. There was never any continuity or communication from Vodafone throughout this period or any attempt shown to resolve the matter. We had to act every step of the way. Deplorable.
My advice is to stay away.

seriously, I want to give the broadband speed a 0 star rather than one. The super bloody hell high ping makes me unable to play any online games with friends. While downloading it seems it is ok but the latency is for real. 2000ms ping in League of Lengends, by this latency, I can only play UNO. If you say I purchased cheap plan, ok, I can accept a higher ping of 80ms or sth but stable. The thing is, it has minimum of 30ms, kind of give you some hope and then jump to 2000ms then jump back to 1500. I'm thinking of build a potato base station, it might give me a better service.

I have just changed to Vodafone and what I have experienced so far is nothing short of appalling. I cannot connect to Wi-Fi on any devises. I work from home and it is absolutely useless. I have contacted Vodafone and have been given free data and told an engineer would come out. The service is terrible. I was told to download there app. Every time you try to connect to Wi-Fi nothing works. I have Netflix on TV and it cannot connect to that either. What's the point in paying for broadband if no service?

Whilst the price and speed package was very well priced and i gone for it, using it for 6 months it has been unreliable service on monthly, weekly and daily basis, i experience frequent broadband disconnections and reduced speed, for example for the last 7 days i am running on 8Mbps download speed where is my package is 65Mbps.
I didn't think its possible these days to have such unreliable connection and every time the speed issue gets resolved, its just matter of days when it drops again.
Never had this issue with Sky, and even think of TalkTalk its been better.
Its been such a waste of time constantly reporting these issues. Will be looking to move away

Constantly drops out and not the speed advertised. Worst thing though is that I signed up for a discount price for 18 months, and within 2 months they hiked the price by 10%! DOn't fall for their specilal offers. Thats just to tempt you in and they don't last the length of the contract.
