I have been with Vodafone for four months and when is working is great but unfortunately I keep having problems with the line. Openreach have come out seven times and continue to find problems, have replaced cabling but the problem always comes back. When it works is great, fantastic upload and download speeds and great coverage in the flat on multiple levels. Unfortunately the continued drops, amount of time spent on the phone and lack of continuity in customer service and ownership of the problem gets low marks from me.

Switched to Vodafone. Open Reach have installed. Still no router has arrived one week later so no internet. Been told different things, so difficult to contact right people. Several broken promises. Router should be here by weekend! Losing faith. They had promised I wouldn’t be without internet when I arranged the switch. It has made work and coping with an autistic child so difficult.

After 4 years of promises I finally gave up, the service was intermittent, the WiFi was awful it was always below what was expected,I was told it is my fault because I have items blocking the signal, it is 4 feet from my phone with no obstructions, calling Vodafone is a nightmare I spent many hours talking to someone in Asia who couldn't communicate well, they got me to replace some of the equipment and purchase a booster which made no difference, after 2 engineer visits in 1 year within days the service didn't improve, I found Vodafone not to trustworthy and being told a good wifi signal was not guaranteed, and I should move the router and clear the room
I hope others don't expect too much from Vodafone

Placed the order around 2 months ago but still service is not been activated, keep moving forward the activation date and giving excuses.
One of the customer service advisor says, if you have another mobile contact with us, I can give you data to use hotspot. For getting the mobile data, need to buy another contract from them, so clever they are. Another adviser managed to give mobile data but not enough, run out in few days. Would not recommend Vodafone to anyone, not really serious to solve the problem, not having broadband over a month. Avoid them.

Poor internet connection, frequently dropping below what is expected, ethernet connection doesn't work on the router, and the connection barely extends a few meters.
Have been in contact with Vodafone numerous times over the last month and nothing has got sorted. After an hour on the phone on the last call they concluded that the router needs to be moved and the devices moved closer. We live in a tiny flat, and the router is in a central part of the flat, I don't know practically how this is a solution.
I wish I never signed up to a contract with them and would never use them again.

My first experience with Vodafone and its been my worst experience with any company in my life. 3 weeks later i still dont have all the dongles that are in my package. Internet is dropping out, customer service does pick up phones fast but their powers are essentially useless. This company is bordeline scam. I know all the paper answers of the customer service team by now as ive been on the line with then several times a day over the last 4 weeks. Apparently they dont even have records of that. They are utterly useless mostly.

I put 5 out of 5 on all the star ratings because to me that is what I am getting. I've been with Post office, BT, Virgin Broadband and some cheaper networks. I have to say I have had no problem with Vodafone ever. Very stable connection with an app that can give you a boost button for them big downloads(Call of duty) My ping is always at the best. Speed is very consistent and you get more than what you pay for. Never had a problem with customer service. Such ease of use with this network and it is clear to me that it is the best network around for price, speeds, consistency, customer service and pure customer satisfaction.
    Take Vodafone guys.

Worst experience ever! New fibre connection only lasted 3 days and then packed up. 6 days later and with no sign of anyone at Vodafone having a clue about how to fix it or giving a damn, we cancelled our contract.

BB failed overnight. Nothing done to it at our end but asked a million times to turn it off and on again, check cables etc. Each call to Technical Support was like reporting from scratch, no history of previous calls recorded. The only easy bit was cancelling, they didn't even try to keep my business. Avoid Vodafone at all costs!!!

I have been with Vodafone broadband for several years. Regular dropping of the broadband connection over a period of several weeks has become almost an annual event. Their techinical helpline, even if you can manage to get past their robot assistants, is next to useless. After being talked through the usual farcical script of unscrewing the test port in the telephone socket etc, I have usually eventually managed to get Vodafone to agree that there is a fault. In the past it has often been resolved by them re-setting my router. This year, having had more than 10 drop outs a day, I've had two engineers out who have checked the system and made some changes both in the house and in the cabinet over the road, but although there has been some improvement it's still dropping out, mainly in the evenings. The last engineer was very clear that if the problem continued it was a problem with Vodafone and not the network. I'm absolutely disgusted with the appalling level of service, and I would advise anyone looking for a broadband provider to avoid Vodafone like the plague.

Absolutely dreadful firm. I was promised the earth in speed with Superfast 2 and they even checked and confirmed it in the shop. They have checked it many times since but they just fob me off until I give up. Last contact (over3 days) they told me all sorts of things to do such as take the front of the main socket and connect via the engineers socket inside. Result was my master and extension phones would only work in swapped places and no improvement to speed. The promised engineer's phone call did no materialize. A dreadful company, treat customers as dirt. Can't wait to leave.

Just cancelled my contract with them on installation day due to the fact they are now saying the broadband would not be ready for around 2 weeks so no connection to the internet for 2 weeks! This was due to openreach not confirming a date with Vodafone but this was only checked when I called at 17:30 on the day the installation day as I had not seen my current Plusnet connection drop or had any contact from Vodafone. So now I have to call my work and explain that I cannot work for 2 weeks due to no internet connection! I am going to lose a lot in wages or have to use my annual leave, to say I'm angry with Vodafone is an understatement! Be aware they have dealt with my transfer from plusnet and gave me an installation date and therefore a termination of my old contract date but never checked to see if they could actually achieve this until I called! They are totally incompetent! Broadband is now an essential part of life especially when you have to work from home. Please be aware of Vodafone and hopefully you will not get into a situation like me.

I ordered a superfast 1 service from Vodafone on 2nd March, currently I am still without service of any kind. I have had 3 connection dates, nothing happened on any, this was down to 2 order mistakes their end and 1 Open Reach problem. I have now been advised that they need to start with another new order number 4. The call centres are primarily abroad and whilst they are polite, they are obviously not necessarily effective. The router looks great, just wish it would connect to something. I have since contacted BT who have advised that there is no fibre available at my address, which presumably is the problem. If only someone at Vodafone had checked this. Personally, I am sick of all this shopping around nonsense, U switch were the ones who said that Vodafone could provide fibre, that was the first mistake. I have no advice for anyone, other than if you have a good service from someone, maybe stick with them?

Terrible customer service. I have ordered my home move on 8th march. They have advised me to decide the upgrade first so in my new home will be new upgraded broadband. Next day called again, another person said, you have to do the home move first then call for upgradeation. I was totally confused what to do. He reassured me that his pervious colleague was wrong. and ordered home move which should activate on 23rd march. They have confirmed me that engineer is coming on 23rd march to activate it. On 23rd march, All day i was awaiting for them, no one came. I called them on 24th march, they said they have called me and i haven't answered (Thats a lie!) They booked another home move order and confirmed will definitely activate before 8th april, As usual no one came. As usual they said to me someone called me and found me busy (another lie!!), each time when i chase them they keep passing the line to different person and test our patience. They have wastage my at least 3 hours each calls ....very very annoying ...big headache ... you buy headache by spoiling your money???? No-one should try this ever....

I am moving home in 2 days after exchanging. Trying to get through to the home broadband department absolutely disgusting. Was on hold for 35 minutes this afternoon when my phone cut out, the same happened again this evening, trying for a third time where I have been on hold for 48 minutes so far. I have had chats where no one can help and said I have to ring the number which I have been on all occasions! No other way of contacting them. On hold for over 2 hours in total. A complete Joke!

Never ever refer a friend to vodafone as theyve not honoured the reward to my friend or myself after waiting several months. Ive wasted time chatting online, they keep givibg me different email addresses to send details to and never processed the reward. It should be straight forward and automatic. AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN. I WILL BE MOVING TO ANOTHER PROVIDER SOON

Without doubt the worst broadband I've ever used. We initially signed up to Vodafone's Superfast 1 plan around 3 years ago - all well and good until about 6 months into the contract we started experiencing regular speed issues - we put this down to 3 people in our household sharing the one router so when we were offered an upgrade to Vodafone's Superfast 2 (claiming to be the fastest average speeds of any non fibre optic WiFi in the country) we thought great let's try that.

18 months into the contract and we've never had speeds above 26 mbp/s (and we're very lucky if we get that) despite the fact their MINIMUM guarantee was 34mbp/s for our property. The customer service is appalling, they never respond to your complaints submitted online (submitted four of them) which is your only real option given they don't have a dedicated number to ring for broadband complaints, if you want to chat to an advisor on their chat service they run a quick diagnostics then ask you to start to take apart your master socket to check the issue. Sorry? I have things to be doing with my day, not messing around with my master socket to attach different connections only for you to eventually tell me you'll send out an engineer as you should have done all along.

Sent out 3 engineers, all boosted the line and explained the speeds to the router were okay, any persistent problems are certainly due to an issue with Vodafone - would Vodafone accept that? Nope, another engineer out to look at the master socket AGAIN only to be told the same thing again. You can cancel your contract if they can't provide the speeds they guarantee but seeing as they refuse to accept responsibility or provide a new router it's almost impossible to actually cancel it.

We get dropouts on an almost daily basis (tallied them up for our complaint, one day we suffered 24 signal dropouts between 9am and 4pm). Working from home has been nigh on impossible, I've been kicked out of countless work calls/meetings due to signal dropout, then when it boots back up the signal is horrendous so completely useless. Outside of the lockdowns, I've spent every day working from home in my local Costa Coffee to get some reliable WiFi.
There's been no discount for the troubles despite Vodafone's "discount promise" if your speeds aren't up to scratch which I mention to them every time I complain.

Moving house this month and was absolutely DELIGHTED to find out Vodafone could not provide our Wifi due to Openreach contractual agreements for New-Build properties - thank god, just a garbage product, terrible connectivity, terrible customer service and nowhere near as reliable or fast as other, cheaper, smaller broadband providers. Utter *****.

Cancelled Virgin cause it was to expensive ,contacted Vodaphone and the nightmare began ! phoned call centre spent almost an hour got through, then halfway into the process was cut off after all my details were taken ,chat bot India next all details taken after 40 mins got acc no ,needed to confirm some details another Indian chat box who told me there was no record of my previous and no account existed ,so went through it all again another acc no given ,got letter confirming install and router phoned call centre who told me my application hadn’t been registered at all by Vodaphone ,since then I have spoken to five other Vodaphone staff and my total time taken has been 6hours trying to buy broadband ,account finally set up and router arrived but then I read TrustPilot reviews where 86% gave VPhone 1 star so I cancelled with Vodaphone ,asked them to collect router and they told me there was no record of it ! I must say this experience has almost sent me mad ,and to cap it all my direct debit details arrived this morning phoned VP but they told me they can’t cancel it now and I need to contact my bank , Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life ,gone back to Virgin at least they are capable of talking sense .

    Terrible experience with Vodafone.

I had to deal with awful broadband for months, until it reached a point where I was unable to perform my day to day job. I tried to terminate the contract, but every call to the customer service would last 2-3 hours with all the transfers, until I would be connected to customer relations representatives, who were very rude and unwilling to help me. I ended up paying 200 pounds just for the remaining time of my contract, during which I haven't used the wifi and had my router (Gigacube) disconnected.

Awful experience, would not recommend to anyone.

Don't get caught in their 24 month broadband contracts!

I initially joined Vodafone Broadband for their cheap prices and discount with a mobile contract. I also thought 24 months of cheap contract, why wouldn't i like that?

So the first install was a bit of a hassle; they didn't update me on the engineer coming round, rescheduled without telling me causing me to loose out on some paid annual leave. Once installed, they had some trouble activating and all in all, it took about 10 days to work once the router was installed. Not great but not too bad considering the trouble I have had with other companies. (just to note; I left their phone contract when I bought a new phone before the next part of this story)

The second installation was when I was moving house. I notified them two weeks before moving house (18th Feb) and they said they would be able to install it on the 4th March, and to take my current router to the new house and plug it in on the day of installation, then wait for the engineer to arrive between 8am-1pm. This was another waste of a day as I had no notification from vodafone or their engineer confiming the arrival. I called them at 1:30pm (bit eager but they were late, so i thought) and they said they would arrive between 2pm and 8pm.. So i waited till the end of the day and no one arrived.

The next day, I got a "good bye" email from Vodafone. They had cancelled my contract. I spent a couple of hours on the phone asking what was happening with my internet and they blamed it on an internal error, so they then put in another order and told me it would now be installed on the 8th March. Not great but it could be worse.. I get that with Covid etc, things are a bit of a struggle. It gets to the 7th March and they call me to confirm the internet will be installed on the 16th March.. 16th?! Okay fine, so 16th it is. 15th March comes along and they cancelled my contract again! So that is 4 times it has been delayed now, (4th, 5th, 8th, 16th March). I called them again and spent ages being chucked around to different departments.. At this point I wanted to cancel and just go with someone else, but I am stuck in a contract with 14 months still to go, so that would cost nearly £300 to cancel. Yep, they've got me by the nads here. I just have to deal with whatever they throw at me. Anyway. I finally get through to someone and he gets my fustration and can see that my contract has been cancelled over and over and he believes that he has fixed it. He "guarentees" the install by the 26th March. Finally! Someone gets it and it's all fixed! I'll book another day off work so I can be in for it and finally get this sorted.

I got a message today from Vodafone confirming the internet will go active 8th April. Ha! We'll see..

So yeah.. Next time I get broadband, I'm going for a 12 month contract.

Shockingly bad customer service, which I unfortunately have to deal with due to connection issues. Every bad customer service cliche is here - good luck staying sane when trying to deal with them. The automated call-direction software alone will transport you into a kafkaesque nightmare.

I had a problem for 2 weeks which I ended up telling them what the problem was (a faulty router). They could not get to the problem. I wasted 15 hours of my life with these idiots.
Vodafones tech service, reliability and complaints departments are less than useless. Dreadful and rude support from undertrained individuals who only want to pass you on. When you complain it takes months and you a lied to constantly. If you are on the line to complaints they are not allowed to put the phone down on you so you can keep them engaged in the conversation forever. I have asked to be released from the contract but they won't do it, they offer compensation which changes depending on who you speak to. My advice avoid, avoid avoid.

Really poor reception. I have 2 bedroom flat and yet there are so many blackout spots in a small 2 bedroom flat.
In addition I get constant access denied messages, and the broadband constantly drops out. Absolutely awful customer services, where you are kept on hold for hours. The customer service agent understands nothing and you are constantly passed from one department to another. You have to have several times to get any issued resolved, however at least 50% of the time issues aren't resolved at all as Vodafone don't know what to do, such as access denied messages. Preferred my service with BT,and talk talk before that. Really annoyed as Vodafone are total waste of money and waste of space. Avoid avoid avoid.

This is the most frustrating broadband I've ever had. I'm supposedly on superfast broadband and generally I cant complain. However the dropping of broadband is horrendous. Every night wifi disconnects no less than 3x and then it takes a good 2 minutes to reconnect. This is appalling during the day when I'm on meetings and wifi disconnects and takes so long to connect. By the time it does I've lost so much from the meetings. I was promised super service and super broadband. Clearly I need to look at alternatives.

Always drops out. It's that bad that I use my phone's data from O2 instead of connecting to Wi-Fi. In fact, it's that bad I think I'm going to pay them over £200 to cancel my contract early. Virgin was much better with no such issues. Steer clear and save yourself the hassle.

After upgrading my broadband speed, I discovered that they had handled the change by giving me a new number and charging me for two lines. I then spent 68 minutes talking to customer service. The first person thought my number (01455.....) was a mobile number! They cannot do anything for a week and after a week has elapsed they expected me to contact them again. No doubt to repeat the previous miserable 68 minute experience. So currently, no one can call me since my original number has been discontinued. They later suggested that I report the problems via Facebook. Again a complete waste of time.

My Vodaphone home broadband went live on Feb 15. Since then I am having to do manual resets multiple times per day. The signal drops and the only way to get it back is to unplug the router for a couple of minutes, and reboot it. This is obviously pretty pointless for home security devices, not to mention a high annoyance and inconvenience. I have made many attorneys to contact vodaphone. The live chat is next to useless. If you are lucky enough to speak to a human they say they are going to call you back and never do. I am currently trying to get released from my contract as I do not see why I should pay 23 quid a month for a service that Vodaphone simply can’t supply. My advice don’t get suckered in by the promise of great speeds at competitive prices, oat a little more and use a reputable company.

Switched to them for Business Broadband and phone. Phone only would call (outbound) and would not accept calls (inbound). Support is abroad but non-existent and feels very "shady". They ask all sorts of unnecessary questions and perform unauthorised actions. I cancelled the contract but they uncancelled it without my knowledge! I will need to check there are no unauthorised financial transactions for years to come now. AVOID!!

Their technical team is one of the worst teams to speak to in terms of:
1: Listening to you describe the problem.

2: Providing clear and easy to understand updates and next steps.

3: Making you jump through pointless hoops.

I called in with a problem on my broadband that started 9-10am Friday morning.

Many calls, hours of hold time and after reaching out to their twitter team, I'm still no closer to them being anything that I'd call hopeful.

I need to wait 24-48 hours (3rd time I've heard this now) and we'll see if they can help.

When it works it's fine, but that's like anything in life and a pretty low bar to hit.
