After the price crept up by 30% I decided to cancel this service. A month later and daily arguments with support staff it still has not been cancelled and they still keep trying to bill me.
Vodafone is a scam, do not go with this company.
The broadband itself was OK. Occasionally it would cut out for a few minutes or speeds would drop to a third of what they should be. Mostly it was fine.

Terrible Customer Service. I ordered Vodafone Broadband 2 weeks ago, but the router never arrived. I've been on for hours and hours complaining, asking for a new router, they just kept re-assuring me it would get here. It never did, even DPD said they had lost it, so I asked them to send another, still nothing arrived. Yesterday, they switched me over without a router and I lost internet at the most critical time, home working due to Corona. I asked them not to do this until I new I had a working router, they did it anyway. Due to the urgency I decided to use my own modem so requested the PPP username/password in order to connect. My existing kit did not seem to connect, so I went out and bought a Draytek modem, which didn't work either, so i went and bought a TP Link modem/router combo, and this didn't work. So after hours more technical support it transpired they had provided me with only a partial username, and the password they had given me was incorrect due to I's and lowercase L's, they had read it out over the phone incorrectly. So eventually, I am online using the TP Link. The speed seems fine so far ~55mb on Superfast 2. Still not received the Vodafone router though, it will probably never arrive. I have never had such bad customer service from any company, they could have sorted this long before Corona started shutting things down.

Don't bother ordering from them. I placed an order which they messed up and then blamed me for not contacting them. And because I didn't realise they'd cocked up I couldn't have the offer that I wanted because it was no longer available - disgraceful service.

our family have always used Vodafone now my daughter is being charged for unlimited phone package and a further charge for her home hub which has never worked. Despite many complaints they say to leave home hub will cost her £300. worse decision ever made can't wait until she can get rid of the home hub.

    Absolutely Awful.
I thought that combining my mobile and broadband provider would make life easier. Wrong. Things started badly when Vodafone changed my landline number without informing me (I subsequently found out that the number was allocated to someone else). That took a week to resolve. Since then I have experienced multiple issues trying to log on to my account (all I want to do is get a copy of my bill) and each time it seems to take 2 to 5 days to resolve the problem. Will not be renewing my contract.

I wish I’d read the reviews first, I thought all providers were the same but sadly I was very wrong. I’m getting nearly half the speed I signed up for, and quit often a lots less that that the lowest I seen was just over 1mbps. I asked if I can cancel because they haven’t given me the speed I’m paying for and they said I’ll have to pay a fine of nearly the entire contract. Do yourself a favour and listen to the reviews on here and go with someone like sky, BT or even TalkTalk because at least with TalkTalk you get the speed they tell you or at least I did

Broadband speed NEVER reached guaranteed minimum in 18 months. Agents just read from script so are of no use. Thought when Vodafone launched a broadband app things might improve, it doesn't work. So when choosing a broadband supplier don't be fooled by the speed promises (its controlled by the line to your home), just go for the cheapest.

Giving 1 star as there is no option for 0.This is a part time broadband business available intermittently during day and sguts shop everyday at 6 PM. After that have a good mobile data connection for internet. Technical support/chat is a joke. They might give me also a chance, if by chance I walk by their technical support building.

You'll see something in common along all of the reviews for Vodafone.

It works completely fine during the day, then during peak hours, it goes downhill considerably, you're talking down to around <3Mbit,

There's obviously some sort of general network contention issue going on. Trying to get an answer out of Vodafone is impossible -- you'll be told braindead suggestions like changing the WiFi channel over and over again, even when you've told them these issues happen on a wired device. As much as their support team are friendly and try to help, they are restricted to a script or ordering out an Openreach engineer, who will likely tell you (and in my case even show) that there's nothing wrong with your line. There seems to be no way to reach someone who can actually tell you what's wrong.

If you want to see it for yourself, just search @vodafoneuk on Twitter during peak hours.

Just go somewhere else, anywhere else, that doesn't seem to have these core network issues. They are the cheapest, but they are cheapest for the reason.

Failed to connect service on time.
Failed to correct fault when service wasn't operational once they claimed it had been connected.
Refused to refund payment for the first month of contract when the service had been available for zero days due to their mistakes (unavailable for 5 weeks in total).
Failed to provide the welcome gift offered with package.
Ignored requests for welcome gift that should have been received with package.

    So once connected all's good...

    Well no....
Service repeatedly fails with no explanation
Service slows to a crawl for days or weeks on end (so I end up using my mobile hotspot - thankfully I have unlimited tethering but often means no internet or TV for others in household when I'm not home)
And despite having switched off their 'content controls', I'm still repeatedly referred to and blocked from accessing everyday sites because it's trying to redirect me to their content controls page which then fails to load leaving you with no way of accessing the site.

    Overall, a total fail.

I'm counting the days until I can switch provider. You should not even for one second consider switching to this one. No deal they can offer (and subsequently ignore) is worth the risk of their inevitable total failure on every single measure of service provision, customer service, technical capability and honesty.

I've had Vodafone for over a year in it been terrible, slow, intermittent. They have tried to fix it 4 times and every time they promise improvement but I just end up having to relog everything in again as they just say "reset the router" , the support is a call centre with a script so if you ask anything off-script they don't know, it feels very buskcetshop, just waiting for my contract to end in July then I will be free of them, if you are thinking about using them... at you pearl, I would not recommend them at all.

We placed our order for the Vodafone service on February 22nd. We told we would receive emails letting us know when to expect the router and activation. I received the email regarding the router, however I have yet to receive a single email regarding the activation. I have had the router since March 04 with no service. when we tried to find out why on the 5th oh March it took numerous attempts and all we were told is that service has been delayed until the 9th. The 9th came and went with no update and no service. This morning, the 10th I have spent over 20 minutes on their chat (the chat service was not working last night) and was given an incoherent rant that I still don't understand. The gist of which is that the activation has been delayed until the 11th. At this point I doubt my service e will ever work. I can say without doubt, Vodafone, is the worst company I have had the displeasure of working with in my 52 years.

Worst broadband experience ever. They are robber. When you make contact for 18 months, they will increase your bill and force you to make a new contract to pay same amount as you make first contract. I called Vodafone almost every month because of connection problems and never fixed. There is always lag and connection losts. Don't make this mistake.

Not best decision I made but was hoping for better speed and better monthly outgoing price. My dowload is only 1/2 of promised but I was told its because of my old laptop wifi. I cannot watch any of streeming websites and VPN dowload site will be blocked by Vodafone so I almost regret I lost my old provider. If I knew this I would not bother by better speed .

You really get to know a company when you actually need their customer service and without doubt Vodafone has to be one of the worst companies ever. According to the Telegraph In 2019's 2nd quarter they were up their as one of the worst broadband companies receiving more complaints than any other. My experience with them alone has been a shambles and its scary to know im not alone. Ive spent 40 hrs on the phone with them countless hours online to try and recover over billed fees. Its taken 8 months and the company are still getting it wrong. when they thourght they had corrected it they cancelled my service and I was without service for over a month waiting for them to reconnect. Im not alone in the suffering and its just become a circus of error after error when dealing with them. Customer service is vital to the back up of any tech product and Vodafon simply is not equiped to offer it when you need it most. My advice is stay away regarless of what speed they are offering. They do not deserve your custom until they can provide a reliable service. This is not an isolated incident im not alone and you could be next.

Probably the WORST company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The Broadband is TERRIBLE, spotty reception around the house, phone dips in and out which is highly frustrating trying to play an online game. Take Netflix about 5 minutes to load a movie, and buffering in between. I had to contact them almost on a daily basis to "reset" my internet, they offered me compensation which I never received, proving them to be liars also. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF I CAN SAVE 1 PERSON FROM THE TERRIBLE COMPANY IT WILL ALL BE WORTH MY REVIEWS. Never again will I even consider anything to do with Vodafone.

Hands down the worst fibre broadband I have ever had.
I went for the "Superfast2" option, it constantly drops the connection when multiple devices are connected so it's not suitable for an average size family home, decent enough speed for 1 or 2 devices but that's it. If you have a few X-boxes, phones, Netflix, etc running at the same time then stay well clear of this company, you will be left severely disappointed and counting the days down until your 18 month contract runs out.

When you start asking questions about the poor quality of service you will be put through to the technical team who's first response is to inform you that your connection is syncing at the maximum speed ~63Mb, why this is important I don't know as the actual data throughput from this connection is woeful.
They will then "help" you diagnose the quality issues you are experiencing, unplugging filters, cables, reset router, etc. Ultimately this results in them sending you a new router which makes absolutely no difference what so ever.
At this stage its then just a case of wash, rinse & repeat every time you contact them, I think I was on my forth router by the time my contract was up.

Switched to a new provider advertising the same speeds as Vodafone and the difference in quality of service, primarily download speed and throughput is day and night.

Terrible provider. I should be getting 50mb but for 18 months I've been getting around 10mb at best. Constantly dropping. Customer service is terrible as its been 18 months of constantly contacting them to fix the broadband speed but have got nowhere. I have gone through 3 routers as that's all what the customer service tech advisors know as a solution. So glad my contract has expired to leave. So guys save yourself your money do not use this service.

Vodafone broadband doesn’t get best reviews but it might be because people tend to leave a feedback when things go wrong. My experience was quite good and only marginally short from giving 5 stars.
    1. Moving provides
Switch form TalkTalk was quite smooth but I had some issues with the activation which resulted in being without the internet for a day. It was handled well by the Vodafone customer service.
    2. Customer service
Quite good from my experience. No long waiting times and all issues were resolved promptly.
    3. Broadband speed
I am still within 10 days from switching so there are slight speed fluctuations. Initially the sync speed (from provider to the router) was 56 which wasn’t satisfactory considering my previous provider had around 76 almost all the time. I spoke to the Vodafone CS and they apparently fixed some minor problem which increased my sync speed to 66. It does seem like Vodafone tries to limit the speed for some reason. In general 66 is enough for my needs so that won’t persuade it further.
    4. Broadband reliability
So far I had no any dropped connections and the line seems to be stable. For those having issues, try to split the network to 2.4GHz and 5GHz and change channels from automatic allocation to 11 for 2.4GHz and 44 for 5GHz network.
    5. The App
This is the best Vodafone broadband feature in my opinion. Very versatile and has many options to control your network like scheduling, blocking particular devices, activating guest network etc.

Overall, I am satisfied with Vodafone broadband. Lower download speed and some hiccups during installation were the reasons for 4 stars rating. Price wise it’s a good deal, probably one of the best on the market at the moment. Be prepared to negotiate with CS if you want max speeds.

Avoid like plague! Worst service I have ever seen. The broadband never worked. It actually took more than 10 calls to get it cancelled and I was still charged inspite of being within 14 days

Have recently switched to Vodaphone from Virgin because of cost. Vodaphone is not as fast as Virgin, but more than fast enough for my needs. The customer service is excellent (not put on hold for 30 mins and staff very helpful). Engineers come when they say and service (after initial teething) has been reliable.

I was very disappointed with the speed of Vodafone fibre broadband. I phoned the call centre and was told that the advertised speeds refer to the speed that would be obtained if a device was connected by an ethernet cable to the modem. In this modern age of 'wifi' I assumed that when I took out a high speed internet package, it would provide high speed on wifi - sadly not. Also the new vodafone router has a very limited range about 8 meters. I have completed several forms to receive a discount on what I was paying but is still paying full price. Please stay away from this poor service that is pure hell for 18 months contract.

Absolutely disgusted with Vodafone! We arranged a date and time slot for broadband to be installed, and my husband took the afternoon off work especially. When he called them to find out where they were, they said they’d cancelled the appointment because there was a problem with the cabinet in the street and needed to reschedule the appointment for 5 days later!
We tried to use their social media teams to get earlier resolution, but instead, Stephanie advised us to go with a different provider! Never heard of a provider recommending to go with a different company before!

Well I have had this broadband for over a year now and can make several observations from experience.

The modem is not the most powerful and does not give the greatest coverage but it will just about do. It is easy to install and the base settings are adequate for the uninformed though you can delve and set mac address filtering etc if you wish to make it more difficult for hackers etc.

As a previous Origin and BT customer, I can say the guaranteed speed of Vodafone is a vast improvement over the others. I found with both BT and Origin my speed would be great for a month or so but then would slowly drop to ridiculous levels, then after complaining, it would miraculously come back (even though there was no fault, apparently). I blame vectoring.

With Vodafone my speed, whilst not the 55 as advertised minimum is consistent around 52 and I get a 20% discount because it is not 55. Well 52 is much much better than I ever achieved with either Origin or BT so hats off for that. The reason for the slightly slower speed is not a Vodafone issue, the Openreach fibre to the cabinet lines simply cannot deliver a greater speed, yet.

As for customer service, they have a web system that really works, put an issue there and it is quickly picked and responded to. I have to say I have not needed to contact them myself as the system just works and works well and consistently, I have had the line drop a couple of times over the year but that was on both occasions down to Openreach working on the lines and nothing to do with Vodafone (I live in the sticks and an Openreach van on the horizon usually means my line goes down for about 10 mins), but after that all is well and back working again.

All in all, a really good consistent quality service that does what it says on the tin and I highly recommend it.

Wanted to give No star, but there was no option. 1 Full year I ran with 2 Mbps In fact as per Guarantee speed I should get 23Mpbs, So Whole year the problem was not fixed and was on Discounted payments.

Genuinely the most frustrating 18 months of my life. From the day I received the "Superfast 2" package (up to 63mbps) I only got 25-28mbps at best (55mbps "sync speed", 0.1mbps above my guaranteed speed - convenient!). The router they give you is awful, I live in a small home with ~10 devices (mainly smart home stuff), and the router fell over every single day for 10 months straight (on and off again to fix it). Their customer service refused to send a new router, and claimed to have changed settings remotely whenever I contacted them, which did absolutely nothing. After 10 months of moaning, my contract came to an end and I joined BT - Day one, 53mbps, strong connection everywhere and a happy and relieved customer. Vodafone even cut my broadband off completely for the last 3 days of my contract, and no matter who I spoke to it never got resolved. An absolute joke of a company focused purely on profit margins. Phone contract got cancelled too. Don't waste your money.
