Have no complaints with EE whatsoever. Great speed, helpful customer service (in this country). After being with Virgin for many many years, the last few with appalling service, EE have so far done us proud. Would definitely recommend.

Had problem with landline & rang EE who said if it was my equipment I would have to pay £60 but if fault was outside I would not have to pay. BT Engineer found fault in external wiring and said there would be nothing for me to pay. This was in June so imagine my horror when I opened my E Bill on Saturday only to find I had been charged for the repair. Rang EE immediately and eventually they said it was an error. This was having tried to get me to say it was an internal fault, They did not want to know the meaning of OUTSIDE !! I then asked for this amount to be credited before collection of the bill but was told that was not possible!!. In other words you have no way of seeing your bill before it is collected. When I said I was a pensioner and could not afford to pay this, I was told to ring my Bank and tell them there had been an error. So I am left with a bill that I owe a little of but have to pay it all and will get monies back next month (I hope). They made the mistake and I have to pay.
Ok I should get it back next month but I dont have that amount to 'lend' to EE for their inefficiences.

I had to try and call about my new contract with EE broadband, I had only set it up last evening but had a query about my call package.
I phoned, got cut off, phoned, cut off again, eventually got through to a very abrupt female with a northern Irish accent, heavens that put me off, she was so rude and I then decided to stay put with SKY Broadband. After being put on hold twice and then being transferred to a guy called Gary in Hull I was put on hold with him three times, I had enough and told him to cancel my arrangement with them, he was not helpful and this was the nail in the coffin, I thought I just couldn't put up with this shambles. After waiting and waiting, 87 minutes later I put the phone down after he told me my contract has been cancelled and he is sending me an email to confirm, this was 6 hours ago and still no email, I so hope I don't have to endure this hell again. I wouldn't even give them one star for customer service but I have to, I have no idea what the broadband is like as thank god I never got that far. It would of saved me £2.50 a month being with EE had I stayed put, I spent a fortune this morning making calls to them so I have lost money already and not even set up. Spoke to SKY and they are going to match EE and I have payed line rental with them for a year at £11.00 a month. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM EE IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE!!!!!!

Having switched broadband between Sky, BT and Talktalk I had mistakenly formed the opinion that it didn't really matter who your provider was. They were all much of a muchness, just get the cheapest deal. Then I switched to EE on an 18 month contract. Big mistake! It's like a trip back in time to the good old bad old days of dial up. Was dial up this bad? Never again, all the one and no star reviews are accurate. It's truly shocking.

Where do I start.Well if you are considering upgrading to fiber via EE don't.The promises do not match the service.Every time a fault is diagnosed a new contract fee is added.Solutions like "ehancers", +£10 did not work.
A raft of explanations to overcome objections to frozen screens no connection to wifi etc include: Pipes under the floor, too many doors, we never promised it would reach every device i.e. the garden shed where BT formally did.
As the late Terry Thomas observed "What a shower.."

I can't put into words my frustration with EE. I will never recommend this service to anyone. They have failed to deliver on their promises and contractual obligations over and over again. It took 25 working days to be connected to broadband, that's 5 whole weeks. Then they set up our account incorrectly 3 times. They have failed to deliver broadband and the EE TV box within their own specified time frames because the account is set up incorrectly again. They have applied discounts as a 'goodwill gesture'which don't reflect the payment plan we purchased. It has been error after error from their customer service team and despite all trying to be very nice and polite and provide plenty of platitudes they just can't deliver the service they say they are going to. I have no confidence that the TV box will works or the broadband speeds are up to scratch. I only haven't switched because I don't want to wait another 2+ weeks for another provider to get us connected. Save your blood pressure go elsewhere!!!

Poor service and NO parental controls in place to protect children instead wanting you to MICRO manage each device. DO NOT BUY I you want to protect your children’s online safety as they are not interested in helping and direct you to Norton who on doubt they have a nice relationship with for year 2 sales that you have to have to continue the service whilst in contract or your children can watch any online content they want online via WI Fi.

AVOID!!!
I almost made the mistake of switching to this clueless provider who cannot even get their activation dates or order processing right. Thanks to EE I am now without broadband or phone service. When I contacted them their excuse of a customer service team leader did nothing but aggravate the situation further. I wish I had read their reviews before even thinking of joining them. I have complained to Ofcom and will not be touching these EE jokers with a 10 foot pole!

Absolutely appalling service on all counts. Slow, downloads cut off due to server errors, many pages won't download, some only half download. So-called tech team in India are hopeless and very, very rude. They have no patience and cut people off if they can't understand the problem - which is just about every time. How unprofessional and discourteous. Customers are of no value to them whatsoever.

ZERO STARS! ABYSMAL! I ordered broadband in December 2014 with installation for 21st Jan 2015. No engineer turned up and nobody had bothered to communicate this. I submitted around 3 phone calls to the contact centre, submitted 5 online complaints and I got a joke of a response that contained bad grammar & spelling mistakes. The response basically told me to ring new line which I already had, 3 times and 40mins each call. The latest was I wouldn't be able to get an update on installation until May 2015!!!!!!! Total disgrace. Inefficient. Useless. Trying to get my deposit back & have gone with sky instead!

Hi
I ordered EETV full package, in the advert it said you get a free tablet worth £100.00 if you sign up before April the 7th,and you can pay a one off line rental payment to save money, its all rubbish, they then tell you the tables is only if available,so I cancelled, as people have said, customer service leaves a lot to be desired, do not sign up with them

Worst broadband ever. Works for two hours of the day then that's it. Would definitely not recommend to anyone ever. Waste of money and time. Had 3 engineers out and still nothing has changed, in fact it got worse. Just as bad as the mobile service.

I could live with broadband speed although it was slowing down to a halt very often. The problem I have with EE( as well as with many other providers) is that after the end of my contract they started charging me about 70% more. That's not the way to treat loyal customers.I perceive this as highly unethical on their part. They know very well many people have no time to track every payment. I they finally notice something is wrong they will instantly sweet talk you into another contract with them cutting the price by half. They can afford this scam only because there are still lots customers who go for that. I am saying NO!!!. I AM LEAVING YOU EE FOR GOOD. YOU FOOL ME ONCE...

The internet was fine when it worked and given where we live the speed was just acceptable. However, do not have problem because EE do not care. The speed of my internet downloads dropped to 140KB/s so even email was a problem and many webpages timed out before loading. After 20 minutes waiting to speak to somebody I got through to an Indian call centre. At first they would not accept my problem as the account is in my wife's name and they needed to speak to her even to report a fault. Not a good start. I had all the account details including the password so finally they were prepared to listen to my problem. First, I had all the reasons why it was my equipment and not a fault with their system but after some tests I was told maybe there is a problem but it needs to be passed you to another department and they are very busy so expect a long wait. I had now been on the phone for 40 minutes so I asked would they ring back please which thet agreed to do. After 4 hours no call so my wife phoned after 30 minutes she too was getting nowhere and had been passed to 3 different people all of whom spoke with a very heavy Indian accent that was very difficult to understand especially when coupled to a very poor phone line. She did get them to call us and the line was then better. Finally we got an explanation that EE were doing some upgrades and these could take another 2 weeks as a result the internet speed had been reduced. However, the internet was still working so they were providing a service! The fact that it was so slow and in effect could not be used did not bother them as in the small print they do not guarantee any speed. When asked why people were not told in advance about this I got silence. Needless to say we are now changing provider. If this company spent a fraction of what it spends advertising for new customers on keeping the existing ones happy they would do much better. I have heard EE described as the RyanAir of internet company's not true even RyanAir are not this bad!

Wanted to rate no stars but wouldn't let me . Do not get we broadband . Paying for Fibre for the past year and a half , never had fibre speeds ever they have breached there contract with me , trying to get at least a years refund although I should get the full year and a half and compo for loss of earnings , currently in the process of sorting issue with ombudsman and going to ofcom and also seeking legal advice should I not get my refund . Promised refund and callbacks hasn't been done they tell u all diffrent things to fob u off , they provide u with the worst service ever , and still take your money . They won't even cancel your contract when u ask them to . They even try and charge I for engineers when your broadband doesn't work properly . Avoid at all costs . I will get bk with another review if and when this is all resolved .

This is the first online review I've ever done. I've felt compelled to express just how bad the EE broadband service is and hopefully save someone else from all the grief I've experienced with EE. I was persuaded to take up the offer of EE broadband and move over from Talk Talk (who themselves are pretty poor). Regretted it ever since. Customer service is possibly the worst out there and the Broadband is very slow (when it's not dropping out). I've had 2 EE engineer visits and an engineer from BT, but still the issue cannot be resolved. After spending literally hours on the phone to EE I'm fed up with calling the call centre to report no internet but today I felt a sense of relief when callling to cancel my contract. After giving my valid reasons for cancelling this appalling service, the impertinent, odious little creep I spoke to actually had the audacity to suggest there would be a 'cancellation charge'! I swiftly corrected him. Moving to Virgin now and can't wait to be rid of EE.

Speed is slow. Drop off in the evening regularly after 11pm, and also during the day time. Spoke to the customer service last time was not satsified. Just rang them again, be told to hold on the line was cut off automatically. Thinking to change a supplier.

I was on BT Infinity for 18 months and decided to move the line and broadband over to EE fibre broadband to save a few pounds.
I wish I hadn't - for the small amount I am now saving it wasn't worth it.
Here are some reasons:
1. During the transfer for some reason my BT account was left active so I was still getting billed from BT as well as EE - it took a lot of phoning up to get this sorted and i am still waiting for a refund from BT.
if you are considering moving providers I would suggest your manually call up your old provider to make sure your account is closed.
2. EE operate traffic management which means I cant use the internet for certain types of internet use during peak hours - 18.00 - 01.00 M-F or 13.00 - 00.00 at the weekends. This is really annoying. I don't download any torrents but rather I use a VPN connection which always worked fine on BT but is unusable on EE.
3. The EE supplied broadband router is in my opinion inferior to the BT router (which is saying something). When my or my girlfriends iphone are connected to wireless web pages or apps freeze and have to disable and enable wifi to fix it. this happens all the time to both our phones. was always fine on BT.
4. When you move your phone line and broadband from BT you have to separately cancel BT sport or they start charging you £12 a month for it - so watch out for that.
I now have 18 months stuck on EE.
I learnt a lesson - you get what you pay for.
BT aren't perfect either but my advise would be to stick with them.

I moved from TalkTalk 10 months ago and have not found any of the problems experienced by other reviewers here. Compared with TT, our broadband feed is rock solid with reasonable speeds. As far as I know, all connections are provided by BT Openreach so there shouldn't be any difference between suppliers but while TT had constant dropouts and outages, we don't get any of that or the severe buffering when streaming and downloading at the same time. There is an annoying phenomenon that occurs which does clobber the network - the router polls every few seconds to refresh its IP table. There is absolutely no reason why it should do this and it creates unnecessary traffic. If I can stop that I reckon I can improve my network performance by several notches. Other than that, no complaints and really pleased with the swap from TT to EE.

Appalling broadband speed. When we were sold this package we were assured that the download speed would be very good. It is impossible to watch a video without it continually buffering and then freezing.....every time. It is impossible to use a tablet and laptop at the same time. When we complained last time the woman said......and I quote...."the broadband is fire in your area". Their answer was to upgrade to fibre. The problem is that we did not have this problem with SKY therefore it is the provider. Do NOT touch EE with a bargepole.

We have been with ee/orange for about 3 years.
It used to be a good broadband service but since EE took orange over it has deteriorated hugely.
Our internet connection stops working on a regular basis; this has happened about 7 times and we are currently without Internet connection yet again for no apparent reason.
Calling to get it sorted out takes about an hour on the phone each time and they always "run tests" to ascertain the problem. But no one really seems to know what the problem is.
We have now been without Internet connection for 3 days and apparently no-one can sort the problem out today. someone from EE is going to call on Monday (today is sat ) to sort it out.
In addition to regularly losing internet connection, the signal has really deteriorated in power in our home.
I am going to switch to another provider. This service is rubbish.

I have never received such bad service in my life, I was given a slot to transfer my EE broadband today from 1-6pm which, we waited at the vacant empty apartment and no one showed or even called, the guy then arrived at 6.45 after we waited 5 hours for him and we had left the vacant apartment at 6.30. The Engineer that arrived was rude and obnoxious implying it was our fault for not waiting longer and has now cancelled our session which we booked in 2 weeks ago, due to his incompetence and inefficiency. My partner and I are looking at canceling both our cell phone contracts and broadband. Disgusting service and behavior!

I changed to EE 2 years ago as we have mobile phones with them.....We are on the basic BB and I have it in 2 locations, In both locals the BB has been reliable and faster than the BT equivalent, I have no experience of the fibre version. I have had no issues with EE customer service. Open reach are a separate company employed to do field connections etc and I have had problems from open reach in the past with other providers....but open reach are used by all providers and cannot be bypassed so we are stuck with them and there failings.

Left sky broadband and thought would be great to have ee home broadband for a saving of about £7 a month and the thing that really was amazing is the 10gb mobile data added for free to my mobile phone account every month. I went for it this is what happened
1- ee didn't put a request to keep my landline number which I lost I HAD THAT LANDLINE NUMBER FOR 20 YEARS
2-broadband connects great up and running in no time.
3-wife and the family start to complain to me that the new broadband is showing full signal and not getting the Internet.
4-I tell them it can't be, it's there phones.
5-I phone ee and they are very helpfull changing the settings ect but nothing changes.
6-The internet is now rubbish on everything that connects to it i can't watch Netflix without it stopping every 2 seconds.
7-I am using my mobile as a hotspot for everyone to connect to in the house
8-I am so unhappy with the ee homebroadband i only hope that they are listening to the public and sort it out.
EE SORTOUT THE HOMEBROADBAND AND GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY ORDERED

I've been with this RUBBISH company for 3 weeks.Youtube keeps freezing and buffering all the time. Internet pages are so slow, my computer is 3 months old. Customer service put me onto an engineer in India who I could hardly understand. He told me I was getting the right speed. I was with AOL before and had no problems. I joined EE because they were.doing a cheap deal, now I know why. They want £116.49 to cancel the contract after I've already paid £132 upfront for the phone line. if you're looking for broadband don't join EE, RUBBISH COMPANY.

BT had become too expensive; have them the chance to sharpen their pencil. BT offered EE as a better priced alternative (since learnt that BT will soon exit this market and be replaced by EE). New service live 4th April. 2 decent days. Rubbish ever since. EE arranged for an engineer to show 8/4 am. Sat in all morning (then all day). No show. Unable to tell me why no show or when they will arrive. Omni shambles

Seeing so many unhappy customers i consider myself as a very lucky guy. I was switched to EE from Sky in 14 days. The day when I suppose to be connected there was some kind of issue and i was not connected after all. I called customer service. I took me less than 2min to speak with lovely lady. She explained that usually problem like that is being sorted within 2 days. Fallowing day I came back from work and internet was up and running. I have fibre plus 67 mb/s and I get 74 mb/s every day. No issues with EE what so ever. I would recommended EE broadband.
