My friend suggested EE I said why not this was the biggest mistake!!! It took 3 weeks for engineer to come around to reactivate the landline than we have waited another 2 weeks for the rooter to arrive being honest we are still waiting!!! How they expect people to live without internet. EE if you can’t keep up with the demand DO NOT take any more orders!!! Disappointed

Buyer beware. This oversold service is so throttled outside core business hours to be useless for the consumer. A guaranteed 30 Mbps connection cannot, for most of the evening deliver more than 0.2 Mbps. Customer service has a script that dates from the early millennium referring to a cabled interface not provided in modern equipment. Avoid. Like the plague. Look elsewhere.

Worst customer service ever! In the last 3 month's I've had at least 3 weeks with no internet. They take so long to resolve issues. The customer service people are extremely patronising and rude. They keep you waiting for hours with no apology at the end of the wait. Difficult to understand them. Nothing good to say.

EE is the worst service provider I have ever come across! They must have the most appalling customer support in the world!
Our internet cuts off quite frequently and, for the second time in about 6 months it slowed down in speed so much (544kpps) that it became impossible to load a website.
After many hours (and days) of going through answering machine menus, waiting time and trouble-shooting on the phone, they finally agreed to send an engineer.
So this engineer not only couldn't solve the problem, but also broke a freestanding shelf in the flat, and didn't let us know about it nor reported the misfortune to EE.

The internet slowness was reported in mid-November and the broken furniture accident happened on the 8th Dec. It's the 3rd Feb today and I still haven't received a compensation from EE. I have been put through the most various teams,

All their customer service seems to be in India, the sound quality is frequently terrible on the phone, and they keep apologising about technical problems with requests not going through - almost hilarious for a telecommunications company.
I waited at home for the visit of a second engineer, as the problem wasn't solved by the first one and, instead, got a phone call from EE to tell me that the engineer wouldn't come because my request didn't go through. But, surprisingly, this very clever man on the phone thought he knew what the problem was and how to solve it.

Also, it's impossible to get anyone's direct contact. There's a lady who seems to now be responsible for my case, but I haven't got any of her contact details, so I need to wait for her to call me!
After 2 months and uncountable hours on the phone, I was given a phone number to call about the furniture damage – no contact name, nothing, just a reference number that the lady dug out from somewhere. And, guess what, this was not even an EE number, it was from BT and they had no idea whatsoever about the case. So now, after sending through all the details again, I am waiting for feedback from BT!

So DON’T swap to EE under any circumstances!!!

I signed up to EE fibre broadband and anytime calls as an existing mobile customer on 22nd March 2014 to be informed that the switch would be seamless..... still on 23rd April I have no broadband! No updates, poor communication, no explanation... I am lost for words at the appalling service and cannot believe that companies believe that they can sustain this sub-standard service for the long term without penalty. I wish someone would look into this company...... AVOID! I have, needless to say cancelled my order with the pre-activation team!!

I don't usually leave reviews, however... having left Virgin Media due to an on going over-utilisation problem (On-going for 12months+) I decided to give EE a go, despite reading all of the negative reviews. Their customer service to far has been spot on and the Broadband connection hasn't dropped below 65mbps (even at peak times), very stable connection - much better than VM, I was paying for 100mbps with VM and was actually downloading at aroun 1mpbs. I am more than happy with EE and intend to stay as long as the service continues. (EE Fibre up to 78mbps)

    Thank you EE

Been having trouble with my broadband since December 16 they changed the router as days gone by programmes would still buffer. Contract now ending after paying 74mbps fibre for 18mths now saying fibre does not exist at my house and can only see 2mbps after talking to someone for the 5th time on different days. Not happy ending the ee box for sure it was a pure waste and waiting to fix my phone line after all this time. Just be careful with what they tell you.

BEWARE if you are considering a fixed price contact with them, their current contract give them the right to increase your by CPI. so much for a " fixed price contract"

I have been a customer of EE mobile for many years, after having a terrible experience with Virgin Media I decided to switch to EE Fibre. I went for the 72mb/s package with EE TV.

I have had EE broadband for over 18months now, and have just renewed my contract for a further 18months. I have experienced no problems what so ever, speed is consistently higher than the advertised at all times of day. Upload speed blows VM out of the water! The connection is not only reliable, but stable 24/7.

I don't understand all of these negative reviews, EE have guaranteed me a speed of at least 40mb/s and said that if it falls below this then I would be released from my contract. Virgin media don't openly offer this kind of guarentee. Speed has never been less than advertised when using ethernet cable or 5ghz WiFi. I would imagine many people are complaining about speeds over WiFi when they do not understand that lower end WiFi can only transmit slow speeds! - Try plugging it in via ethernet or connecting to the 5ghz WiFi channel.

Would highly recommend EE to anyone! - Before anyone says it - No, I am in no way affiliated with EE, just a happy customer who's tired of reading bad reviews! - Not many people take the time to write a review when they're happy with a service, but we all feel the need to report when we're unhappy.

Keep up the good work EE, excellent broadband, excellent TV, excellent mobile and fantastic customer service!

Shocking!!! Wish I could turn back time as I would never have transferred from Sky.
EE has slow speeds. Constantly dropping in and out of connection. Terrible customer service.
I could go on but given that I have nothing positive to say about EE, I won't say anything more.

I was an EE mobile customer and the service has always been excellent, I received an email from EE offering a deal on their fibre broadband and, as a mobile customer I would get 10mb of free data on my mobile. It also came at the same time sky put up its prices.

Having switched to EE fibre (easiest and best part) I have now had to visits from bt openreach to try and resolve the poor speed issues the last one on Tuesday the engineer was here for almost 2hrs, rewired the house, the connection in the cabinet but, still the speed is no better used to get 34mbps from sky now I can only get 18mbps down the same phone line! BT say it’s an issue with EE, EE says its BT.

    Worst service ever.

Having used (or tried!)to use the ee broadband service for 12 months we are about to give up. Customer service is so poor and blatant lies they tell you, we were told we had to have a new order after THEY disconnected our service in error only to find out 7days later the order had not been placed, they promise to ring you and never did. I have spent a total of 8hours plus trying to get to the source of the problem without success. Must be bt showing their influence. Never again will we touch ee. Broadband and 5 mobiles about to be moved.

Pay as you go data sim. Overall coverage and speed is good, however. The web site is rubbish and topping up or buying more time is unbelievably painful and unreliable. I have been without service for days at a time because I have been unable to purchased more time. The customer service really is an absolute joke. They commit to do things such as refunds or add extra time and then do nothing. They promise to fix the issue and call back but the issue is not fixed and the call back never comes. I have spent over 4 hours on the phone to the CS centre over the last 3 months. The representatives do not know the system and give misleading or just plain incorrect information. The merging of these organisations has been a fiasco for customers. This company is the single most frustrating organisation I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Do yourself a favour, look elsewhere for your mobile services.

Pathetic. The speed I get is 0.3Mbps. That is not enough to watch a youtube clip. The internet is virtually unusable in my house as a result. Worse than dial up speeds in 2014. This may be EEs or BTs fault. I have no idea. But after complaining for 2 years nothing has improved.

I initially bought the non fibre broadband simply because it was the cheapest option. It was a bit stupid to be honest because before switching over to EE I was with Virgin on fibre optic so it was like switching from a coloured TV to a black and white one!
I ended up upgrading to the EE fibre package and haven't looked back since, its even faster than Virgin! The customer service was spot on and they even wavered the fee you pay for an engineer to visit!
A bit of advice for those of you that are debating on what package to get, if you use the internet for the bare minimum like online shopping, facebook and web browsing the non fibre one will be fine for you but if you have people in your house that watch a lot of youtube videos or Netflix then whatever internet provider you choose always choose the fibre package. Check if your area is compatible before you do though :)

I once heard an expression about someone who was so trying he had "hit rock bottom but just kept digging". It is my feeling that if EE hired that guy he could be the smartest guy there. Unfortunately zero stars are the least I can give here but if it was an option I'd be about a minus 4 average. Do not ever contact or consider contacting this company. If I was to relate here our experience, though technically we never used them, you would think I was exaggerating. Not so. Even attempting to use EE has proven to be an hilariously disastrous experience. If you have an abundance of time, patience and a curious sense of humour (plus you don't actually want broadband) please disrefard my advice. In summary, a bunch of lesser known clowns who will reduce you to tears.

Terrible connection issues continually for almost 14 months now. Continually cutting out with download speeds of a shocking 7.42mps as measured by BT speed test and upload speeds of 0.67mbps. Sick to my stomach of the EE spiel saying they are the best company yadda yadda, total rubbish! Post office Broadband provided a far more reliable service with consistant speeds of 17mbps for a single house which catered for around 4 devices with no trouble. I can only connect one with the EE contract and it is still cutting out. £20 a month for this so yes I am fuming!! They also guarantee at least 10mbps so they have fallen short of their own contractual promise! Aiming to take this further, such a rip off!

I don't doubt the difficulties other customers have with their provider. I have had poor service many times in the past. I design global computer systems that must run at the fastest possible speed no matter what the cost, but that doesn't help much when ordering broadband. I've been using "high" speed connections from my homes since the before internet was even "born". I recently had a new domestic fibre connection installed by EE, and I really must say that the installers did a fantastic job.

Good speed at start, then it declines, i complain, speed goes up for a few weeks then declines, and so it continues. Have found out that they are limited by BT on bandwidth at my local exchange. An engineer told me The more customers they take on others have to sacrifice their speed. Pure greed and no customer care.

They came & checked the whole of my house & said they would come back. Customer service called to ask how they had done & they booked a call out for following day - stayed in whole day & NO ONE came from OPENREACH - no phone call to apologise for not turning up & no call back from EE. I think they just want you to go away !!!!

After being with sky for many years , decided to go with freesat , which put up the cost of the broadband , then got a call from EE offering the same deal as sky but for £24 inc vat which was a saving of £140+ , so after a lot of thought made the switch , broadband and telephone was 4 days late due to sky acting up , staying that l could not switch until my next payment date had passed .
Anyway have nothing terrible to report , broadband and phone up and running (7203 kbps) ,speed slighty better than sky.Have contacted customer services twice , also polite and helpful also 0845/0870 numbers are free ( sky charge for these ).

I ordered home bb, went live apparantly on 29th Feb, still on the 6th March no Internet. Altho after calling every day and no help, no commitment, failed promises, Mind you, EE were quick enough to bill me on the 2nd March.

The only time they didn't send text reviews funny that) not only being charged for Samsung tablets of which I've never received.

This service that I have received is truly disgusting.

Do not go with EE standard broadband. It is terrible, Netflix, YouTube etc are un useable. Customer service useless and it has cost me a fortune as the kids are constantly going over their mobile data plans because the broadband is forever cutting out. Had Talktalk broadband previously (all the same cables, connections etc) and it was ten times better. Feel like I've been robbed and conned by EE

EE Broadband is about as bad as it gets. It is just too slow to work properly. I was lied to about the download speed when they sold me this package and I have complained loads of times to the customer services department but not one thing has been done to make it better. Never go to EE!!

Doesn't deserve 1 star deserves zero! Worst broadband I have ever had. Down to 1.2Mbps most of the time. Sometimes can't log on. No way to stream with buffering and freezing just about all the time. Try ringing customer service - JOKE! Nothing ever done. A price rise half way through the contract to add insult to injury. Woeful company. I will never ever use EE again!

The worst broadband company ever! Speeds average 1mb/s! USELESS!! EE cannot deliver an adequate broadband and simply hide behind a tissue of misinformation! This company is fundamentally dishonest. KEEP AWAY!!!!
