Atrocious broadband service. Keeps hiking the prices up. Locks you in for another 12 months so you can't leave. Service keeps dropping, I keep calling up to get engineers to come fix the problem, the engineers can't find a problem but then miraculously the service is fine for a month after the engineer visit and then starts dropping again the month after. I call up again, they say there are no faults on the line, and the cycle repeats. Last time I called up yesterday they blamed ME for poor service because I was doing things on the internet that would make it break like WATCHING NETFLIX?! C'mon guys, EVERYONE who has internet streams TV. If your poor excuse of a broadband cannot cope with TV streaming then clearly something is terribly wrong with your service! The rude lady then said I needed to upgrade to fibre to get a better service at an extra £15/month! I said no way so she said she'd send an engineer out to fix the problem at a £15 cost!!! To fix SKY'S problem!!! When I questioned this, she said it was because the engineer was coming on a Saturday (a "premium" day) and the lady was doing me a favour so I didn't have to take time off work. I said I work from home so am happy to have the engineer come during the week. She was clearly just trying to make an extra £15 for Sky. What absolute scam artists! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

What a joke this Mickey Mouse service is, the router resarts itself every 5 minutes. I have phoned sky up many times, I have had 3 brand new routers and still no fix. And engineer comes out, his report was that I need an engineer out... Sky internet is an absolute disgrace, and shocking customer service is awful.. Whatever you do guys, DO NOT USE SKY INTERNET

DO NOT USE SKY INTERNET!!!
Router always resets itself and sky flat out refuse to fix it. 1 Engineer never bothered to turn up. After I was told the problem was with the phone line on the telegraph pole, the next engineer never bothered going up there!!
Such poor customer service on the phone, you have been warned. DO NOT USE!!!

Broadband speed varies between 0.25mb/sec and 1.8 my/ sec usually on the lower end. BBC I player unwatchable due to excessive buffering . Tried new router and all sky recommendations to no avail. Considering move to Virgin as it runs outside my property

The customer service and communication of Sky is truly awful. They make it almost impossible to be cancel.
I had weeks of trouble trying to get the broadband set up (whilst paying for it of course) having to make regular departures from my place of work. This eventually caused months overhang on my 12 month tenancy which I had to pay for.
Every phonecall/transaction results in you losing money, you have to spend hours on the phone to get them to agree that you're in credit after they've wrongly vaccuumed what they like from your personal bank account.
I've had phonecalls that have descended to me having to explain simple maths. Once you've got agreement they still don't do what they say and you start the whole thing again.
I'm not a usual reviewer/complainer but this type of behaviour needs to be documented as they do not deserve your money.

Very difficult to get through to CS using their "live chat" facility. Phone team unable to offer any real deals. Lure in with great deals then more than double after deal ends. Broadband with sky feels congested during the evening.
The difference in deals for new customers and old is really terrible. If you have a choice of signing up with a provider that doesn't more than double the prices after their deal ends and has good customer service track records - go for that!!

Sky used to be the best company for tv and broadband, well worth the price (back then). All i can say now is very over priced for a very poor quality service and terrible broadband speeds. Very unreliable aswell. Been with sky for over 8 year and its got that bad im looking into other companys to go with. Not good sky, not good at all.

Pretty poor. The service is slow. They once sent out an update which somehow managed to break my modem. The then sent out a disc to manually fix the update which didn't work, then they sent out a new modem which they wanted me to pay for. Eventually I got a new modem for free of charge but I was without any internet for 2 weeks and I didn't get refunded.
Every so often the service cuts out and customer services are pretty poor.

I've been with sky broadband for a few years now. The connection is very slow and they lied about how fast it would be - I've put up with that. The main problems are the lack of reliability and their complete lack of care for the customer.
Every few months the router stops working - the self-heal mechanism only mends it for five minutes or so. Each time I phone them up they do a test that solves the problem for another few months. I ask them if they will replace the router and they say they will if it happens again, but they never replace the router.
The pandemic has compounded things so that now I can't phone them up now its happened again. They do not seem to have any phone people working from home - probably because that would mean they may not follow their scripts and actually be helpful. The online repair does not work and they seem to expect me to carry on paying for a servive that does not work and they will not fix.
The UK compares very badly with other countries when it comes to internet services. This is because of money-grubbing corporations such as sky who do not care about their customers. As far as I can tell most of them are like that. I am changing providers even though I am not expecting anything much better. I do not recommend sky, stay away from them.

I used to be with BT. In seven years with them my internet only failed about four times and was usually fixed with one phone call. Once they had to send out an engineer but he fixed it on his first visit. Been with Sky since last November. Considering they use the same cables as BT their connection is appalling. It fails at least three times every week and my connection has dropped at least ten times today alone. The website simply directs you to their useless self help. Pointless ringing them because my wife is the account holder so they claim it would be a breach of data protection to take details of the fault from me. Anyone who knows the Data Protection Act knows this is nonesense since I'm not asking them to reveal any of my personal data; I'm just trying to get them to fix the fault. So I can't tell them about a fault unless my wife is at home. Anyway, six weeks to go until I can go back to BT and boy oh boy I can't wait.

Sky Broadband Everyday Lite has been fantastic! I moved to Sky from TalkTalk a few weeks ago. At TalkTalk the reliability was terrible. But at sky the speed is good enough but reliability is excellent. I was looking for broadband that wouldn't disconnect when I'm playing online video games, and sky were
perfect for me. I'm glad the reliability is good and I can make do with the speed.

Two years using sky broadband speeds were on average at 10-11mbps but for the last 4 weeks it has varied between 1.2 to 5.3mbps after 4 logged complaints you experience the most frustrating issues. If you ywant to speak to someone live you will be on hold for at least 20 minuets. The option is to use their text service which has taken from a start time of 0953hrs to 2145hrs then the assistant passes you on only to repeat all the security requirements again. I have had even worse service from talk talk because that's all they do.
Sky has become the next worst service, I am going to find some other provider !

Worst Internet experience I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am supposed to have super fast broadband for streaming ect. It doesn't work to the standard that sky advertises. I am coming to the end of my contract in march, I have agreed to a new contract and a upgraded my broadband with sky. However after my experience especially over the past few weeks I will be cancelling that contract and switching to plusnet who have offered me better wifi for a much cheaper deal. No matter how much loyalty I have shown sky for the past 4 years I still get provided with the same old poor service.

Sky has been great for us for years and we have only just started to have problems with it. I think this is because working from home is a lot more demanding but when we rang to end our contract because we where moving to Zen the person was very understanding and polite overall I would get this if you have young children through their first faze of using technology overall great!

Internet drops all the time, it can drop hundred of times a day and doesn’t come back up.
They sent many engineers and none is able to actually do their work. I worked for them a few years ago, and seeing advisors not knowing the bare minimum, even if you explain them who they need to talk to to be able to check hidden settings, they don’t care in the slightest!
I’m sick of their incompetency and I’ll move with BT. There’s no point paying for a service you don’t get!

Switching was easy, no other contact with customer service. Speed good except afternoons when it often stops. Same as previous 2 ISPs.
Watching video on YouTube stutters due to buffering even when speed test shows 30+ mbs and PC is on ethernet to router.

Do not bothere going through the pain of trying to get this wifi to work as it just won't happen. Sky is so overrated. The connection if horrible, 95% of the time it doesn't give you any connection, my wifi bar is ALWAYS on just 1 bar. No matter whether your stood right next to the sky box or in the next room, it never works. It took me about 30 minutes just to get the wifi to work to get to write this review, it took me literally 16 minutes just to send 1 message. Not to mention how the connection always disconnects by its self, and then I have to go through typing the passwords all again. I do NOT recommend

Well where do you start a very poor service, which is difficult to speak to someone who really knows what they are doing constantly getting fobbed off with lame excuses, and of course SKY constantly inflating the internet speed< hey sky we are not stupid we can see what your doing the trouble is this country is so weak know one has the balls to take action, lots of useless MPS sitting around doing nothing positive.

Having been with BT for a number of years, took the plunge and went for a Sky deal. We are based in rural Norfolk, so I was worried changing from BT would be a mistake, but I was wrong! Our speeds have been so much better, sitting at around 11mb, compared to 5mb. We are now at then end of our year contract and I have only had to call them once during that time as we had a couple of days of drop outs. The customer service centre was fabulous and all was sorted. Now going to sign up for another year as confident in their products.

No issue with initial communication and setup. However, the signal drops out constantly . I have checked hub/followed guidance etc. But I guess I’m learning you get what you pay for. I wish I’d never left BT. It was pricey but ultra reliable and never lost signal in 6 years. I can’t even get the app to work. Can’t wait for my contract to be over and move providers. So disappointing- no number to ring them on any paperwork or emails.
