I had no problems with the customer service when transferring over form talktalk to EE broadband, except they forgot to inform me when my broadband was ready for use, as they said they would.
The broadband itself is pretty useless and I wish I had just stayed with talktalk. Its ok for general browsing, but even that can be really slow sometimes. Absolutely useless for watching or streaming videos though, its not even worth trying with the amount of buffeting, stops and starts. Overall, I am very disappointed with EE's broadband, not what its made out to be in the slightest.

Have had EE broadband for nearly 2 years now, DSL for the first few months and then Fibre for the last 18 months.

Speed and reliability is excellent. I get the full speed of the 80(76)/20 product and line stability is perfect.

The only fault I've had was an external issue where the voice part of the line stopped working for several weeks, resulting in EE refunding that month and line being fixed within 4 hours.

Hardware is reasonable, although I do use my own wifi repeaters and turn the EE hub wifi off (purely so I can site the wifi signal optimally in the house).

Free Norton 360 (now Internet Security) is a nice bonus too.

No complaints from me at all, and I'd definitely recommend EE for broadband.

Overall EE is a company that usually lets you down when you need customer service whether it is about intermittent broadband service or equipment (e.g. cable) that they are meant to deliver but doesn't arrive or even looking into a bill query.

My experience with EE has been so good I feel I have to give it a positive review. The switch over from BT was smooth and easy although there was a slight delay it was all fixed 2 hours after I enquired about it. The major improvements i am seeing however are easy to sum up. I was paying £42 per month for broadband and phone line with BT on getting a new mobile contract and switching my broadband to EE my monthly communications outgoings have in fact dropped by £5 (yes effectively EE paid me to leave BT and gave me a new mobile phone). Not only has the service been infinitely better than BT's and it's a lot cheaper, but also just by changing providers (no change was made to the line) my download speeds have doubled.
    Thanks EE

I up graded to ee fibre broadband back in Oct 2015 due to slow connection, was all set for cancelling all together but got talked into upgrade. Since then we have had no consistency at all the broadband it is as slow as standard and keeps dropping Wifi is a complete joke. I call the customer nearly every other day to be fobbed of with all sorts of excuses. They say they will ring back within 24 hrs and 3 days later still waiting. Im now on level 2 fault enquiry (4th time on this)and waiting again. A BT engineer friend has stated that there sounds like a fault on the cable from post to house do to the way it drops out (especially when its windy) when I mentioned this to ee they dismissed it stating its my computer...its a bloody brand new gaming rig high spec etc. they then said it could be my lap top, had that tested on my friends BT line and worked perfect infact I was astounded how quick it worked so up yours ee its not my computer or laptop. I can only warn people DO NOT GO WITH EE THEY ARE AS MUCH USE AS A CHOCOLATE FIRE GAURD STAY WELL AWAY

I have a problem with the land line not working for a week, after calling and calling for help to EE, the sixth operator, said "Mi number and my name is not registered on their system" so I'm still without phone, and without technical assistance, but I'm registered to pay every month. Looks funny, but it's sad and shame, what they done to me.

EE are liars. they misinformed us about fees. We have sent a letter with our lawyer and they do not answer. they are misinforming to get you to sign a contract with them. they do not answer in their online chat, there is no way to call them directly and in the messenger chat they are just telling that they want to help and actually they are not helping at all

The internet was fine when it worked and given where we live the speed was just acceptable. However, do not have problem because EE do not care. The speed of my internet downloads dropped to 140KB/s so even email was a problem and many webpages timed out before loading. After 20 minutes waiting to speak to somebody I got through to an Indian call centre. At first they would not accept my problem as the account is in my wife's name and they needed to speak to her even to report a fault. Not a good start. I had all the account details including the password so finally they were prepared to listen to my problem. First, I had all the reasons why it was my equipment and not a fault with their system but after some tests I was told maybe there is a problem but it needs to be passed you to another department and they are very busy so expect a long wait. I had now been on the phone for 40 minutes so I asked would they ring back please which thet agreed to do. After 4 hours no call so my wife phoned after 30 minutes she too was getting nowhere and had been passed to 3 different people all of whom spoke with a very heavy Indian accent that was very difficult to understand especially when coupled to a very poor phone line. She did get them to call us and the line was then better. Finally we got an explanation that EE were doing some upgrades and these could take another 2 weeks as a result the internet speed had been reduced. However, the internet was still working so they were providing a service! The fact that it was so slow and in effect could not be used did not bother them as in the small print they do not guarantee any speed. When asked why people were not told in advance about this I got silence. Needless to say we are now changing provider. If this company spent a fraction of what it spends advertising for new customers on keeping the existing ones happy they would do much better. I have heard EE described as the RyanAir of internet company's not true even RyanAir are not this bad!

Switched from BT broadband to EE Fibre broadband, the main requirement was to get an improved call package as many of the people we call are on mobiles so was spending about £18 pm just on mobile calls. Any improvement in broadband speed (5Mbps) was a plus. Was very doubtful about the self install feature and wondered if the promise of a refund for my BT termination costs were too good to be true. Anyway, signed up, Brightbox 2 router arrived, waited for a text from EE to say when to plug it all in (no BT Openreach engineer visit). Did that, and it worked seamlessly and without a hiccup. Speed and reliability exceeded expectations - we live half way up a mountain in a house with walls over 3ft thick and it is a steady 37Mbps down, 6.5Mbps up and a ping of 17ms. Have had no need to contact help desk, so could not score. Had email yesterday from EE to confirm refund of £56.90 for my early termination costs. Very satisfied.

I have been using EE/orange as my broadband provider for several years, most recently on a 38 Mb/s. My household runs everything through the internet and so we have an average usage of over 150GB/month. The service of EE has been very good, the speed remains at a pretty constant level and doesn't ever appear to be throttled back.

The 5 GHz signal on the router covers my entire house, if you gadget can us it and this will provide the full 38 MB/s. The 2.4 GHz signal will cover the house, garden and some of the road, but as there is a lot of other houses using the channel it can slow down, it usually provides around 20 MB/s but this is not really EE's fault and just the facts of the technology.

I have had a few problems with my service, the phone stopped working and my internet became direly slow <0.5 MB/s. I phone EE, after being on hold for 10 mins (7pm - weekday), was put through to customer services and quickly escalated to tier 2. The next morning at 8am BT Open Reach were at my house checking the fault. Turns out there was a fault with internal wiring as the main inlet worked fine. EE didn't charge me for this work even through BT said they would be charging EE. I have relayed my interal wires and everything is excellent again.

I have been really happy with the EE provided service so far.

I’ve been with EE three years now, had some issues with sky before and it was a pain to speak to their Indian support.
Had an issue once with EE when switching from sky, had to call them a few times, they’ve fixed it and gave me one month free. I’ve had fibre, then fibre plus, now I’ve signed up for fibre plus again.
It’s easy to contact them, at 8:30am I had to wait for consultant about 7 min but then around 12:30pm they’ve picked up straight away.
Sky would be £3 cheaper monthly but I’m staying with EE as it was always fine for the last three years.

Dire Broadband. No words can describe how bad EE is. Download speed is so so slow it is unbelievable. I have complained so many times and all I get is that the area is bad and I should upgrade to Fibre (for another increase in price of course). Problem is that I have had 3 other broadband providers before EE and I only went to EE because they promised the same download speed at a cheaper price. LIES!!! how can other providers give me a good speed but EE cannot and the price has gone up mid contract. This is a scam company. Do Not Do Business with Them!!!

I've been with sky for 3 years and it was ok, went down once as far as I remember. I'm now switching to EE as I want a router with 5Ghz wifi.
I wish I've read reviews before I've made the switch, I'm starting to panic now as the contract with EE is for 18 months.
In the email they said my broadband will be activated on 25th Nov 2015, so Sky switched off the line on 25th and EE sent me a text saying it that the EE broadband will be activated on 27th (not 25th like they said before). They switched on the phone line on 28th Nov at 8am but the broadband is still not working. I've been on multiple calls with them now and they'll be sending someone to inspect the fibre cabin and will call me back within 24h.
I'm not impressed so far, I wonder if I can still quit this contract and go back to sky?

Appauling broadband speed!!!!!!. Should not be described as broadband. Should be prosecuted under the trade's description act. You phone them and they don't care. I was told the speed would be very good. Last so called customer advisor described the broadband in my area as "dire". So why did they lie to me about it? Their solution is for me to upgrade to fibre.....for another price increase. They have already increased their price mid-contract. NO Chance. I did not have this problem with sky or BT. had the 30 pound fibre installed as I need fast and reliable internet.

since installation I have been getting pings in excess of 1000 m/s when it should be less than 10. This means high levels of lag and dropping of connection.

Speeds have averaged at 10 mb/s when I should get up to 38, and a MINIMUM level of 23.

EE try to deny any claim of bad service by quoting a speed test they do in the middle of the night that is slightly above the lower limit. Very strange.

Refused that there was an issue until I said that I can e-mail them evidence of the poor connection.

Then after the phone call with the rude customer service person, I was kicked off the internet completely. Certainly looks like a retaliation by the EE staff.

    DON'T BUY EE

I only gave the top two categories one star because zero is not possible. This is not only the worst company I have ever dealt with, they are criminal. They breached their T&Cs countless times, made falls promises, proved to be completely incapable of sorting out the most minor of issues, haven't got the slightest modicum of customer service mentality and have even acted fraudulently. To everyone: Do Not Go With This Company!! You will regret it and you will find it almost impossible to leave!! I am on the brink of beginning a legal battle with these incompetent, scandalous, unintelligible people. Not to mention the complete uselessness of their call centre. STAY AWAY!!!!

Left sky broadband and thought would be great to have ee home broadband for a saving of about £7 a month and the thing that really was amazing is the 10gb mobile data added for free to my mobile phone account every month. I went for it this is what happened
1- ee didn't put a request to keep my landline number which I lost I HAD THAT LANDLINE NUMBER FOR 20 YEARS
2-broadband connects great up and running in no time.
3-wife and the family start to complain to me that the new broadband is showing full signal and not getting the Internet.
4-I tell them it can't be, it's there phones.
5-I phone ee and they are very helpfull changing the settings ect but nothing changes.
6-The internet is now rubbish on everything that connects to it i can't watch Netflix without it stopping every 2 seconds.
7-I am using my mobile as a hotspot for everyone to connect to in the house
8-I am so unhappy with the ee homebroadband i only hope that they are listening to the public and sort it out.
EE SORTOUT THE HOMEBROADBAND AND GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY ORDERED

Fibre Slowband. I was persuaded to 'upgrade' from my quite reliable copper line broadband to EE 37Mbps fibre broadband, What a complete farce it turned out to be. Fine in the day but at busy times the speed drops to as low as 5Mbps! Streaming video content is impossible. The so called customer service is terrible. The off shore tech support team are pathetic. You spend hours trying to get help and it amounts to nothing. Some are rude, most are uninterested. Others put you on hold never to come back to you. I've been told on more than one occasion there is a system fault, try again tomorrow. Utter rubbish. The problem is contention ratio, either that or a deliberate traffic throttling policy. I'm not sure if any other provider is any better but I can say avoid EE at all cost if you want to retain your sanity.

Changed from BT infinity to EE 38mb deal. Change over took for ever, over charged on my first bill. My speed dropped and TV streaming was just useless and not worth watching. Email system provided is the pits, just use google it's better. Customer service just full of people who know nothing. My connection speed got progressively slower as time went on and dropped to 25mbps at the router despite my line being good for 40mbps. Reason being EE had capped my service and this was confirmed by a BT engineer who tested my system. That was the last I heard from EE customer service after I gave them a mouth full for cheating me, if they cap it again I will cancel my DD with them. If your with EE check your connection speed regularly on your router stats page, you may be getting less than your paying for.

EE broadband is an absolute disgrace! Everything you must expect from a quality ISP is completely missing with EE. You cannot log on, then downloads are super slow, you cannot watch a video/movie because it freezes, emails cannot be accessed, gaming is impossible and it is impossible to use more than one device at a time!!! Technical department is useless!!!

Do not go with EE standard broadband. It is terrible, Netflix, YouTube etc are un useable. Customer service useless and it has cost me a fortune as the kids are constantly going over their mobile data plans because the broadband is forever cutting out. Rock solid with exceptional speed and stability. Way out in the sticks but get a ping of 16ms, down and up speeds of 37Mbps and 7Mbps respectively. Have had no need to contact customer services hence not scored. The install was problem free and prompt.

Broadband speed got one star just for being connected. Download speed of 0.90 and upload speed of 1.08. Something seriously wrong with this and not at my end. Will be looking around when my contract ends.

Switched from Sky was promised seamless transfer. Sky disconnected at 0430 5th May 2016 - No EE line activated.
Contacted EE Customer Service line faults do not open until 0800 - speaks volumes.

How do i describe my experience with EE. Here's and example, it took me ten minutes to get to the point of writing this review. loading this webpage with my internet speed was outraging. We will contact EE and they will make in just bearable for a few days, but then after those few days of barely average internet have passed it goes back to its frustrating slow self. I am completely sick of this.

THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU SIGN UP. Always had good service from EE on mobile phone so decided to go with them for broadband and landline. Complained about interference on landline and broadband interruptions several times a day and 10 days later after no contact I ring them again to be told that they have made an appointment for the next day - well no-one told me and the member of staff on that occasion was very pleasant and helpful and promised to ring back with confirmed new appointment. Later have a message from a different member of staff advising that the engineers had been unable to access the property due to snow and ice - a lie, the milkman, the postman and I, a mere woman driver, had been in and out several times. Engineer said he rang but line blocked to unknow numbers (true) but left no message. This member of staff then proceed to treat me in the most condescending manner telling me to alter the settings to make my phone more available and that I should call back in a few days to make a new appointment when the weather improves 'because you know my dear, they have large vans' She is obviously unaware that I drive a 7.5 ton lorry in good weather or bad. She was unaware of my conversation some two hours previously with a different member of staff. Whilst she was polite her lack of up to date knowledge and her condescending manner are unacceptable and the service the same. Time for a change.

Awful customer service, awful broadband quality. Connection constantly drops, not unusual to have to disconnect and reconnect to netowrk 4 or 5 times an hour. Customer service are zero help.

EE keep pushing up their prices and once you in their contact, they refuse to look at better deal. Their broadband is £13 more than most

Constantly got over charged. Broadband Speed is awful. Customer service is okay. And finally not only did I have to call EVERY month with a service/ Bill problem I also got disconnected every month too.
    Not worth it.
