I've had internet at crappy hotels better than this :l They wont even help fix it, they tell you it's your fault and tell you to unplug everything and plug it back in. That isn't going to help their problems. Don't bother with them, it's not worth it.

This is the worst ever broadband. Avoid it at all cost. As a reliable customer of over 6 years, I moved house and had to wait over a month to get an active line. I was then offered a month's discount for the inconvenience. I noticed my service was cancelled by EE for being in arrears of £2. How the £2 arrears was generated I have no clue as I was meant to have a month's discount and had a direct debit set up.

My account was terminated completely and was asked to set up a new 12-month contract for something I wasn't responsible for. I'm glad I'm rid of EE. NEVER AGAIN.

My time using EE broadband was hell. It ended when they cancelled my contact through a fault they gemerated and expecting me to sign up a new one. NEVER AGAIN! I'm glad I'm rid of them for good.

Appalling: rang them to move house and was told that all was fine. Rang again after the day broadband was due to be set up and was told that I had no account with EE (despite having used them for some time previously), eventually found out that they had messed up the transfer and that they would have to start again (broadband would now be set up on jan 2, we moved on Dec 16, I initially rang on Dec 7). Then rang today and they have no record of my last conversation and the broadband order has not been set up. So we are starting again, and apparently will now be expedited... broadband now set to arrive on Jan 6. If not I will leave as they will have to waive the cancellation fee (only possible if they have taken more than 30 days to process the order - a length of time that speaks volumes for their own confidence in their abilities to work to a deadline).

Annoying since prior to this we had no issues (hence the speed and reliability scores).

Changed from BT as it was half the price but they promised it was just as good, same company blah...blah. The reality is that it is truly dreadful, so slow that even broadband speedcheckers fail to work sometimes, ping speed up to 3,000+ ms sometimes and drops out all the time. Netflix, Firestick and Sky on demand no longer function properly now, Xbox and online gaming likewise. The Bright box WiFi is so weak I needed expanders around my house. They even had BT come and do line checks, exchange checks, supplied a new Brightbox (what's so bright about it ?) and reeled out a list of excuses so long I could fill a book with them. If you're thinking of using EE, simply don't. I would rate EE minus 10 stars if I could.

Appalling customer service. I would not use EE again. I took advice well in advance of moving house about the options of transferring the service to my new address, transferring my current service back to my landlady and setting up fibre in my new house. Every piece of information I was given by phone was incorrect. This included how to transfer an account into a new name, the notice period required (I was told none several times but have now been charged both for 14 days and a disconnection fee). New contract was mis-sold both by price and coercion (customer service agent lied about price plan changes that were due the following day). When I finally cancelled everything and made a complaint the customer service team could be heard heckling and whooping in the background. Completely unethical business with no interest in customer satisfaction. Also takes 20 minutes to get through by phone and several of their advertised numbers are routinely cut off once you've got through if they are busy.

The router supplied by EE was defective. I don't know if this is a widespread problem affecting the Brightbox 1 but, in our situation, it made internet browsing completely impossible - 5 to 10 second waits for a webpage to load; latency and ping readings through the roof. The connection itself is alright: we swapped out the router for a spare we had lying around and the speed was as it should be. If we hadn't been able to do this, though, we'd have had to put up with a shockingly slow internet experience for 12 months, as the staff at EE's call centre are hopelessly bad. We tried getting them to diagnose and replace the router but they were next to useless, so in the end we binned the EE router and stuck with our own.

To be honest, this is the second year using EE broadband, I am surprise that there are people suffering from EE internet service, I face some problems in the first couple of months, since that everything is ok, my bill is the same for 1 year and half now. I want to find another internet provider because EE is expensive I think maybe I will find best offer.

The internet connection goes from 6.69 to 18.52 Mb without warning, that is when I do not loose connection. I have notified EE several time with this problem without getting a resolution to it. FYI they advertise up to 76Mb per second in my area!!! But the monthly charge remains the same... Of course

I thought I would add my review of this totally joke of a broadband package. Just had a mid contract price hike on my "fixed for 18 months" contract. BAD, BAD badly slow download speeds render ee broadband all but useless. No point ringing customer service as there is no service. Cannot understand how anyone can think this is good broadband. NEVER AGAIN...AVOID!!!!!!!

Absolutely useless company, broadband was slow when it was working, and then for no reason at all the connection got cut off and we were told it would be at least three weeks until we would be reconnected, despite it being entirely EE's fault we had been cut off. Avoid this company, not worth wasting your time with them

THE worst broadband and phone line service I have ever come across and I am now stuck with them for a year. Firstly they have completely messed up moving my landline number across like a bunch of complete amateurs and now I have to wait up to 6 weeks for them to fix it because apparently there is nothing the supervisor at their Indian call centre can do. The broadband they provide if you can call it that is the worst slowest thing I have ever seen, it literally took me 3 attempts and about 5 minutes to load this WEBPAGE! Stay away from EE if you want an actual internet connection.

Don't waster your time with EE. After limping along with a speed of 0.2, I resorted to phoning the Helpline three times. Three times I was cut off after spending nearly an hour each time going through all the same points. They agreed the speed was slow but did nothing to help. I couldn't face anymore non Helplines so have now ditched EE & changed provider. Very happy now!

Lousy Broadband all the time. We were promised a faster than SKY download speed...a pack of lies. Nothing like as good and SKY wasn't fantastic. EE are can artists, they do nothing when you complain. Can't even get the email to download fast enough let alone videos. Streaming is impossible due to freezing like narrow band. Simply put ....AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

I cant express to everyone on here how thankful I am to have read these negative reviews in time to cancel my contract with EE. I would like to begin by saying I too experienced lies from sales staff in EE, router was a no show as well as BT Engineer all before my contract had even started. Called SKY, guess what?! Engineer arrived next day and I'm happily surfing the net with no problems. Save yourselves!!

Had problem with landline & rang EE who said if it was my equipment I would have to pay £60 but if fault was outside I would not have to pay. BT Engineer found fault in external wiring and said there would be nothing for me to pay. This was in June so imagine my horror when I opened my E Bill on Saturday only to find I had been charged for the repair. Rang EE immediately and eventually they said it was an error. This was having tried to get me to say it was an internal fault, They did not want to know the meaning of OUTSIDE !! I then asked for this amount to be credited before collection of the bill but was told that was not possible!!. In other words you have no way of seeing your bill before it is collected. When I said I was a pensioner and could not afford to pay this, I was told to ring my Bank and tell them there had been an error. So I am left with a bill that I owe a little of but have to pay it all and will get monies back next month (I hope). They made the mistake and I have to pay.
Ok I should get it back next month but I dont have that amount to 'lend' to EE for their inefficiences.

I think most of the clowns on here live in a parallel universe!
I have nothing but praise for EE. My broadband has always been fine but the customer service is such that if I did encounter an issue and let's face it s..t happens then I'm confident that it would be sorted in a timely manner.
All I can say is that if you speak to people in a courteous manner then you'll get a better response than if you go off on one.
    Ring any bells ????

Since EE have taken over from Orange and changed the Livebox to the "Brightbox" the service has reduced from 2mb to 0.97 down and from 2mb to 0.37 upload. That is when It connects, it "drops" out on a regular basis (Daily) which at first I thought was updating it self, but since the start of this year has been the most frustrating infuriating experience I have ever had, the on/off switch has been worked harder than a kitchen fan at high speed, Customer Support?..they cant spell it let alone practise it! Stay away from EEuk! (sadly cant give Zero Star rating! or claim for the anger management lessons)....Happy to pay a little extra and On my way back to BT from Tomorrow!

ive now gone to bt and will never go back im always getting speeds over 10 Mpbs during the evening .

just doing this review as i would like to save someone from making the same mistake as me and entering a 12 or 18 month contract and getting rubbish service

Avoid like the black plague. Slow speeds, constantly dropping connection which inhabited me from sending files, very poor customer service who asked me to disconnect my landland to help the broadband work. II felt like I wasted so much of my time trying to fix the broadband that I actually cut my contract short short and lost money for a service they never gave me. I'm now on Virgin fibre optic and I can't fault it. Problem solved.

No, I do not work for EE, just in case anyone gets that impression. It seems that if you have anything good to say about EE, then people think you work for them or are paid to do it. I switched from Talktalk to EE this week. My phone line switched over without a hitch and although there was a slight delay in activation of my fibre broadband (apparently caused by BT) I have been up and running for the last three days without any hitch, speeds of about 40M on average - and that's from a slave socket at the opposite side of the house - 22M on the wireless network in my office. No drop out. No interruptions and my movie streaming is flawless. Maybe I'm situated in a good area, or maybe I'm just lucky, but I haven't had a single thing wrong with the service I get from EE. The router arrived in good time, plugged it in and let it synchronise for five minutes, entered my password for the wireless and that's it. Up and running with no fuss or drama. I'm happy and based on my experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend EE to my friends or family as an internet provider. Far better than my Talktalk internet service, which did drop out far too frequently, usually half way through booking holidays or buying stuff online. As a self publishing author, I also need to upload my book files and design covers, and this was also frustrating. It didn't give me the speed that they claimed it would, and at weekends it was practically snail pace. So, I'm happy I switched, and I'll say it again for the suspicious...I do not work for a get paid by EE to say this! Okay?

    AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
When is works the internet is standard at best but overall highly unreliable internet connection and speeds (in London - what hope for anywhere else) that is rarely anywhere near reasonable speed particularly in the evenings. With one user we struggle to watch iplayer/OnDemand TV due to slow data transfer. Two users and it grind to halt and network/connection error. Worse still is their diabolical customer service. Much like other bad reviews I have experienced being on hold for long periods of time, then speaking to someone who talks nonsensical jargon and continuously swerves questions falling back to repeating nonsense. Promises of call backs, 'removed caps', manager call backs and engineer visits all empty. Highly unimpressed and would actively encourage to use alternative providers for the sake of your sanity.

I signed up for EE broadband and Phone package before I read any reviews (breaking a golden rule but I was so fed up with TalkTalk that anything had to be better!). The line activated one day after the quoted estimate, it has been constant ever since with no line noise or disconnects. I am for some weird reason getting almost twice the speed than my previous provider (around 11.2mbs instead of 5.4mbs)this must be down to their Brightbox router which also gives decent wireless coverage in a four bedrooom house. Despite initial fears I am a very happy customer!!!

router kept slowing down only resolved by resetting. never had the same issue with talk talk. they say must be my house wiring so brought to wall socket that phone line came into house and the same. Then asked me to unscrew this and play with wiring. Which was the same after i did on effect waste ten minutes but talk talk never had me do this. But of course worked great after call just few hours later when the router went wonky again. Think stay away as they are rubbish. Speeds so slow that google took 50 second just to load the google bar to ask questions. Could not watch any movies on now tv as glitched too much unless i reset the router just before watching the film. Never happened with Talk talk. Changing provider but warning others stay away.
