DO NOT PURCHASE A BROAD BAND PACKAGE from EE. There should be a health warning attached to this service. Its takes 40 mins to get through customer services and I contacted them on a few occasions, as the speed is shocking. If you want to watch a movie on line then you are going to have problems, welcome back to the early 90,s where broad band was slow as a snail and the customer services is even worst.

I see a lot of bad reviews about EE. So I'm guessing aside from my own personal experience, their services can be hit an miss. Though nevertheless I'll give an account of my experience with EE.
18mth Contract 76mb Fibre Broadband and Homephone.
I'm 19 months into using EEs fibre broadband and couldn't be happier. My download speeds sometimes exceed the 76mb advertised speeds by a mb or 2. I never seem to be slowed down at peak times and even though I use up an astounding amount of data. I've still not been slowed down or received correspondence to stop.
In 19 months, I have not once had any outages. Always a stable connection.
Aside from the actual product, which from my experience, has been amazing. Their customer service I have to admit is shockingly awful.
The customer service representatives don't really seem to care. Any complaints are dealt with in a, 'not our problem', kind of fashion. Usually only being resolved after escalating the matter.
I can understand why those who have had issues, don't rate EE highly. As I can imagine getting an issue sorted if something goes wrong can be very frustrating with EEs poor customer service.
For me, no longer being tied down by a contract as I'm now into a rolling contract. An never having issues with my broadband and getting the speeds I'm paying for. Is what keeps me with EE. If any of that changed, I'd be gone in a heartbeat.

its a shame I have to give any stars at all. having been a mobile customer and happy with the service, I bought into home broadband, 4 weeks installation time. it worked fine for the first two weeks then speed has dropped to a max of 0.2mps when it actually works at all. after spending a total of 14 hours over the following 8 weeks on the phone switching the router on and off then holding while a line check is done. then being told they will call me back and they don't. being transferred from dept. to dept. Im amazed a company can still be in business with this kind of service. but after reading reviews from all isp's it would seem that there isn't a good internet provider. much like choosing who to vote for or which bank to use, gotta find the the one who will screw you over the least

No one can understand how awful EE Broadband is until they try it!!! It is the worst broadband in the country. They know it and just do not care. We were sold this package with a tissue of lies. Did not have this problem with SKY so we know that EE is lying when they use the "it's the line" routine. They promised to exceed the line speed that we had with SKY. We are not getting a tenth of that speed. What we were promised is nothing like the garbage that we have. We have complained over a dozen times now but nothing. They are not to be trusted. We will let this contract run out and go elsewhere. Honest advice is keep as far away from EE broadband as you can!!

There is slow broadband, there is really slow broadband, there is dire slow broadband and then there is EE.
This EE broadband is lousy, unuseably slow, unreliable and the service department do nothing to fix it1

Simply terrible service. Since the broadband was purchased, over 6 weeks have passed. The line installed is still yet to be activated and the broadband box has only just been delivered. The only thing bright about EE is the name of their broadband box. I have nothing good to say about their service. The previous phone call included being put on hold for 20 minutes to attempt to register the account. This is unbelievably abysmal.

EE is Abysmal. ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL!!!! Often I simply cannot log on! Then downloads hover around the 1Megabite per second mark. Unbelievable! All that I was promised has not materialised. I cannot use one device, let alone mulitples. I often cannot access my emails. It is impossible to watch a video and as for linkin up with my Amazon FireStick....well that's hit and miss, with buffering, freezing and always defaulting to the most basic definition. I have quite literally lost count of the number of times that I have complained to their idea of a customer services section. Nothing....but NOTHING GETS DONE!!! In a Nutshell... EE is absolutely ABYSMAL!!! I cannot wait to get out of contract. I may even pay to exit, that is how numbingly bad EE is!!!

Absolutely diabolical service.
Was informed it would be a seem less transition from BT to EE, that was not the case, they took over the phone line knocking out our current supplier on 21st Dec, then 5 days later the Internet should have worked, but the phone line went dead.
An engineer was sent out on 31st December. So not Internet connection for 10 days.
All sorted broadband and wifi up and running, so installed the TV box, well complete waste of time, the channels are constantly jumping, can't receive channels 1-5. Retuned it so many times it's driving me mad.
Cancelling service and going With Sky. They also had the nerve to email me e a payment was due, safe to say they had an irate call which resulted in them offering me a months free service, still being cancelled as diabolical connection that does not work.

They are a bunch of liars. Router Packed in. 2 Agents assured me I would have a replacement by 22.12.17 - nothing! Complained to discover they never dispatched a replacement. New Agent profusely apologised and said he would dispatch immediately. He also lied. Then got tracking number which you can’t check anywhere online and when there is still no router and I call to chase, I’m told it was in late dispatch and I should receive “tomorrow”
I am switching if this package does not arrive tomorrow!

Stay clear. I had my broadband connected 6 days ago and today and today they try and take £91 from my account. Broadband wasn't turned on until a week after the promised date. I signed up for a half price deal, never got it.
Phoned costumer service to discuss and I have to say to phone operative was dam right rude she told me the half price deal I was promised would be applied within the first 12 month. My advice is to stay clear

SHOCKING! First of all when we fitted the box the internet signal was very poor, would rarely connect and if it did it was painfully slow. Spent HOURS on the phone to numerous ''support'" team members. Who promised ring back yet never did. Finally sent somebody out to have a look, the Internet worked for a few days and then stopped again. Definitely cancelling as I have wasted hours on the phone, rescheduling my work day as they cannot specify what time somebody can come out to have a look they only give a 24 hour window - very helpful!! On the phone now to cancel. DO NOT go with EE broadband

Worst broadband i have ever experienced. Being I loyal EE mobile user, I decided to try their broadband.Apart from getting 5Gb data boost, theres nothing positive to it.It keeps disconnecting and the speed is terrible at night time.If you are thinking of getting their broadband, please don't. you will regret the decision.

Worst internet ever. I pay £30 a month for 72 mps so that online games are completely unplayable, I live in the city centre and my ping on eu servers no matter what game I play is in the 90's and 100's most of the time. Downloading anything takes way longer than they should (took me 8 hours to download league of legends). Watching any movies or videos is pointless as it always ends up stopping and buffering even on low quality. I've asked for help from ee many times and all they've done is basically shrug me off every time. No. 1 internet service provider my bumhole.

I have been waiting since the day I recieved my router- for over a month- for EE to fix it as it's never worked. I've been passed around between Ahmed and Gourab and Raheem repeatedly. They tell me a higher tech team will be in contact, that never happens.
They diagnosed me with a line issue, now they tell me they need to diagnose it again, and for that I need to go out and pay for a landline phone to perform the tests myself again. They tell me that if they send an engineer who finds there's no line fault, they'll charge me £50-60 for the job. I told them I will eat them if they do this.
I've called them so many times now that I can tell you their entire 'on-hold' play list, which includes the likes of Katy Perry, Foo Fighters and Pixie Lott. I feel like Alex from a Clockwork Orange, with my eyes pinned back watching the horrors of terrible customer service and outsourcing.

Avoid at all costs! One week after our supposed switch date and EE have no idea when our broadband will be switched on, we haven't received a hub and they can't tell us when it will even be sent out to us. Blaming BT as EE say it is a department of BT Openreach which is responsible for sending out hubs & activating broadband however BT dispute this.
EE customer service appalling, they couldn't care less that we have been without wifi and will continue to be for the (un)foreseeable future - so we've switched back to BT back obviously now have two weeks' wait until that switch on date!
Total nightmare. Don't bother!

Moved from Sky Broadband due to price increase. Speed dropped from 5+Mbps to under 1Mbps and connection kept dropping. Phoned customer service 4 times regarding this eventually they sent a BT Openreach engineer. Nothing wrong on BT side. It took over a week for EE to do anything. Speed increased to 5+Mbps for about 1 week connection still dropped then speed dropped again. Now 0.9Mbps or less on a good day. Customer service here I come. I was promised a credit on my bill

EE has the worst customer service I have ever experienced first I ring up for a mobile contract only to be told I can't have one unless I also take out broadband I explain that I am already in a contract he replies saying that they buy out contracts and I don't need to do anything at all I ask if my you view box will still work (3 times I asked) his reply yes it will.. Next day I get an email from Talk Talk saying I owe them money so I ring back up only to be told I have to pay my contract off and they will reimburse me. I agree to stay with EE. My EE went live today only for my you view box not to work, I ring up again to be told the speed is too slow so no it won't work. I try to reinstate my Talk Talk only to have to do a new order which will actually cost me more than I was already paying and will be two weeks without Internet whilst I have exams and need to study!!! I ring EE back up the customer services are good and the guy was helpful I then look at my bill which has an outstanding charge on for 33.02 how can I have an outstanding charge on something I have never used?? And I see a 'deposit for service' of £50.00 has also been taken out of my account something I new nothing about! He never even told me how long the contract was for! This service is horrendous and has resulted in me spending time I should be spending studying re ordering a service I already had and was happy with. Absolutely disgusting! It annoys me I have to even give them one star!

Absolutely shocking customer service. Avoid at all costs!!! The free Norton virus software that you get with the broadband is a con. If you have the latest software on your Mac then the Norton is not compatible!! I have been on the phone to them for 45 minutes, passed between about 5 people all of which couldn't be bothered dealing with my complaint and so passed me to some other person to deal with. I hae been on hold for about 15 minutes and then told to call them back in about 30 mins as the systems are 'slow'. One bloke was very rude and refused to give me his name and job title, so he passed me on to someone else. Avoid!!!!!!

Never actually let the line went live because their pre-sales service was so bad.
- First guy who 'sold' the deal to me gave me factually incorrect information.
- The deal turned out not to be as advertised.
- I spent over an hour on the phone trying to sort it.
- Half the staff didn't know terms or general information about the service.
- In the end I told them to cancel it because I don't trust they will deliver or that I won't continue to have these issues once the contract was signed.
- Also I found out that even though I am on a 30 day contract for my mobile... apparently I can't drop my contract down a level... What's the bloody point then?
SUMMARY
Thoroughly disappointed with the service from EE, might move my mobile service also as a result.

Very poor customer service. We were waiting for the Internet for two weeks (promised within 1 week initially) only to be told that they set it up for a wrong address and to wait another week! We called them 4 times during this time to confirm our address. Can it be worse? ah yeah, and I work from home and need the Internet. Switching to a different provider for sure.

I made a big mistake in my life to change to EE broadband. I had sky, ,virgin, talktalk and BT never had any probleam. First two days its worked as fiberoptic broadband then its worst worst than normal broadband. I call the customer service and they done all the test and then they arrange for the BT engineer. I waited for first day no one turned up. Call the customer service no sorry nothing they said engineer come on monday. Waited all day no one came. I wanted to cancel and they want me to pay £350. Now I have request all my friends who is with EE . They all came up with lots of complaints. The T-mobile has lost lot of money from lyca mobil and they want to get all the money back from the customers.

The most ignorant useless company ever! They’re using a 3rd company openresch sent engineer to my house teicr now still could install the broadband.. inbetween there wa ssuppose to be a specialist coming but because of their miscommunication that did not happen. They then sent the engineer again to my address?? But without the specialist coming the engineer can’t do nothing ... however looks like its nothing new as engineer called me before buzzing up as he read the notes and told me there is no point in him coming as from the records he can see the specialist has not been in yet, and also the engineer was not suprised that they did this as its a common thing! AVOID AVOID AVOID openreach and EE are rubbish! I wanted the broadband for the world cup but because of their mistake and it taking them so long worldcups finishing. Im not gettinng the broadband no more! England have better chance coming hone with the workd cup than EE installing my broadband on time! The most useless company ever!!!

Since I took on a contact October 19th have had to contact EE at least 9 times regarding dropping of speed! Drops to 2.5 mg for the 4th time. You hang on for at least an hour only to be sent to different agents. They fix it I get all sorts of reasons why, then they parm you off when they can't fix and tell you it will be escalated. They will call you back in 24 hours.4 t times I never got a call back. They just palm you off all the time! BT has been out put a new box in but the line has no problems!Even begged then to send a new modem put finally got one stand up looks great. However still no joy! I have been taking pictures of the constant 3 day drop to at max 3.5 mb.then finally 2.5!if you have to do to the ombudsman record all calls you make. Use your lap top ect to record them as they will call you mobile to test! I will now request the details of the dozens of agents I have spoke to enen if I have to pay £10! Had talk talk last year never had much problems as these! RAY

Internet is super slow, constant lags. When you call customer services you wait at least 20 minutes (on more than 1 occasion) to speak to staff who keep you on the phone for over an hour trying things you have already tried (Switching on and off... come on). Promised calls backs that never happen. Ending up cancelling and going with another company. Terrible

This is appalling broadband. Doesn't work a large chunk of the time, and when it does, sometimes it's so slow, it's easier to switch it off and tether to the 4g on my phone. Avoid if other options available.

Slow doesn't cover it!!!!!. It just is not fit for the purpose. How can EE call broadband that is this slow a Broadband Connection. Oh, and don't forget the comedy show that passes for customer services that is able to do Nothing!!! Oh! And don't forget the price hike mid contract on a "fixed price for 18 months" contract. Dubious about switching to EE for fibre having read the reviews, but I couldn't be happier about my experience. We were kept updated every step of the way with texts, letters and emails. Full set-up instructions came with the router, plus a video link sent to my phone for additional help. Now it's set up we get the full 36GB speed that we were told we could get. I can't comment on customer service as we've had no reason to contact them. It's easy to leave negative reviews; if only everyone who had a good experience left a review it may be easier to get a true balanced review on all the broadband providers out there.

It was fine for a few days then it all went down hill. We lost our internet and when we phoned to ask why they said that the internet will not be up for 2 weeks. because they "accidently" disconnected us and then they told us to go and buy a dongle out of our own money and we all needed the internet for important courses and homework so we had no choice but to buy one. Thanks alot ill be sure to tell everyone of my experience.
