Careful if placing an order online...
Previously on BT standard broadband - switched to EE fibre service. The website states 'no need to contact your existing supplier to cancel your existing service - we do this for you...'
When placing the order on their website, it was made clear that our existing BT line could not be maintained, and it wasn't possible to proceed with the order unless a new line was ordered - costing an extra £30 for installation. As the property is old (with old wiring) we took EE's instruction as genuine and didn't question the validity of this. The installation went smoothly, and the service seems up to scratch, however it soon became clear that the existing BT line had not been cancelled, and was still live. On contacting BT, they couldn't understand why the existing line had not simply been transferred to the new provider. It would seem that EE knowingly mis-sold a new landline to us unnecessarily, and their promise that they would take care of any switch-over from existing supplier was not truthful in this case. I don't know how such a high profile company can get away with this deliberate mis-selling.

BUYERS BEWARE SCAM!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!!! this network has to be the worst one I've ever experienced in my life, the customer service teams know absolutely nothing about what they are talkin about , the managers are rude and very argumentative, I've rang up todAy and been called a liar and fraud. I haven't had signal propally since I've been with ee, they are the worst network around and I have full 4gee with the iPhone 5s and unlimited everything And they can't help me. I will be cancelling my bank account so they are unable to transact any money from my account . Andi will not bee paying them for a service I was promised but yet never receeved. Thank you and good day

Arguably the most horrendous WIFI I have ever used. Constantly disconnects, cannot support more than one large device such as an Xbox or TV, and has ridiculously low download speeds. Said they would send someone out within 48 hours and it's been a week and no one has done anything about it, worst customer service I've ever seen regarding the problems being fixed. Would have rated everything with 0 stars if it was physically possible.

I have been a customer of ee for a number of years. Recently my livebox died (RIP Big Fella) so ee decided to send me the "much more capable and, my friend, much better" brightbox. Great I thought, what can possibly go wrong. Well when BT Wholesale speedtest can't actually measure the speed as its too low then it seems like things can go wrong. So I did what a 5 star reviewer suggested....I called support. Only problem is that customer support is very difficult to get hold of. Fancy watching GoT tonight? No I think I'd rather sit and listen to hold music all night long. Fancy watching a film on netflix? Nah...I'd rather listen to customer support hold music. So this goes on for a while. Get through a few times, many platitudes uttered, lots of empathy, a couple of times even a bit of help....although the speed always dropped back again. So I found out eventually that the "intelligent internet" function had never been enabled. Don't worry they said, we've typed out a memo they said, it'll be sorted out in 72 hours they said. No, no it wasn't. Put in a complaint. We'll be back to you soon...within 72 hours...nah. This company has truly gone down the crapper. Moving asap....mobile will be going too as soon as contract allows

EE treat their loyal customers, who have been with them for decades, unfairly. They charge them way more then new customers.
Last time I upgraded my broadband into Fibre broadband after having lowest speed. I agreed to pay £27 monthly by direct debit.
It has improved for a short time and got even worse after that.
Moreover, I was charged £32 per months.
This month I found out that I was charged £41 with no notifications or whatsoever. Very disgusted by this!!!
Can’t wait to leave EE!!!!!!

Recently I moved to EE from TALKTALK.
I am a T-Mobile customer for 7 years.Following an advicer called me several time and I ignored their call
many time. Finally I thought why not try their broadband and phone services. The day she called me I picked the phone thats it.She did not gave me time to think about and ask a question. She was hurry and onceshe got the information she need, she always tried to end up my conversation.Instantly I understood something is not normal.Every thing went normal.I am informed my connection date.Fine.They told me patient for ten days to get normal Broadband speed.Waited hopefully. In between I found the speed dropped several times and continued until now.Contacted the EE.First advisor spoke to me politely.Very good and he was kind and helpful. After seval questions he said an engineer will visit.Never happend. Then next day EE contacted me how the issues fixed.I way for work.Cant say the progress. That day i got 12mbps.Finally again the speed dropped.Called EE.Spoke toa advisor. After sevsral conversation he asked me to see my router log.I Logged to my router.I am told to look broadband state.I said it says CONNECTED.I told him. Then he asked what is your problem.I have decided not extend my conversation.I understood according to if it says connected thats fine.Dont care about speed.what it is.My smart tv and mobile phone spinng and spiraling with 6.6 MBPS speed now.Frustrations.I leave the decisions to Customers to
judge.Thanks for reading.

I have never been through such a vile experience as I have with EE broadband. Firstly they enroll you onto a 24 month package when you move home without knowing it. Secondly the internet did not work what so ever at the property. It keeps dropping in and out constantly, any hope of doing work from home is futile. Then after months of the persistent issues and showing them evidence of the drop outs they can not do anything. So naturally I opted out to leave for another provider, but they obviously won't release me of the contract without a crazy termination fee. (Forget about their 'policy' if the broadband doesn't work, you can cancel your contract for free). It was months of me on the phone to them, to the point I had to pay for an extra broadband service to work from home. They do not help you what so ever. Forget about trying the ombudsam service, they are paid by the internet companies, and will always side with them even when you have heaps of evidence. A word of warning to anyone considering EE. DON'T. IT HAS BEEN HELL. Started in February last year and is still going on now.

Worst experience ever. I was told the switch from Sky to EE will be seamless. Now I don't even have broadband for a month and half. The sky discontinued the broadband and then EE gave a new date which is after 10 days after Sky discounted my connection. Nothing worked on the day of activation and I spent nearly 2 hrs with customer services team and I was told that the order was failed as they couldn't transfer my number. After serious debates they started a new order which was supposed to golive today. I came to know today that the order was again failed and the new activation date is next Friday. The service is pathetic and I wonder how they are surviving in the business. I will never ever recommend anyone to move to EE for Home Broadband. This was putting me and my family under lot of stress as kids are struggling with their studies due to lack of internet.
I have officially lodged a complaint with EE and got a call to apologise. I was told that they will give me a follow-up call today which did not happen. I can't believe the service EE providing to their customers. I think the EE team is not capable of running broadband business.

Absolute rip off. They reduced the price for the plan I am currently on to 28 GBP. Strangely, they increased mine to 36.88 GBP. When I asked for a price match they refused saying you are in a contract. Instead of valuing their existing customers they rip them off. Avoid EE broadband. They will try to tie you in a contract and then they will rip you off

I moved from TalkTalk 10 months ago and have not found any of the problems experienced by other reviewers here. Compared with TT, our broadband feed is rock solid with reasonable speeds. As far as I know, all connections are provided by BT Openreach so there shouldn't be any difference between suppliers but while TT had constant dropouts and outages, we don't get any of that or the severe buffering when streaming and downloading at the same time. There is an annoying phenomenon that occurs which does clobber the network - the router polls every few seconds to refresh its IP table. There is absolutely no reason why it should do this and it creates unnecessary traffic. If I can stop that I reckon I can improve my network performance by several notches. Other than that, no complaints and really pleased with the swap from TT to EE.

Poor guaranteed speed on Fibre Plus 76MBps just 32MBps...
Even line Fibre can handle up to 80MBps, EE acknowledged line fault , sent an engineer who said line is faulty and EE customer services ditched job because speed is in limits.
Traffic is managed all day. Real speeds are 2-4MBps from services (no problems with test servers)
You wouldn't be able watch TV, Netflix or play games.... That slow.
EE Customer services attitude: we locked you into contract - Ha Ha Ha, give us your money and get junk in result

Have been with Wanadoo/Orange/EE for 23 years but due to their inflexibility and customer satisfaction have cancelled my service. All I wished to do was move house and take my existing broadband arrangement with me but they will not allow me to. Totally dissatisfied. Broadband speed at best has been 764kps.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM EE OTHERWISE YOU'LL PROBABLY FACE THE SAME...Very poor speed and drops in connection. When you phone up they are useless giving you diffrent stories and making you go round in circles. They took a month to fix my brodband after it just stopped working. Un-believeable how they get away with such rubbish service and jeep your money. I'm changing as I write this review.

I have been with EE for the past four years! And how do they re-pay you for loyalty? - By constant price increase and decrease in their service!
When I first ordered EE - I had 17MB broadband speed with no issues, no disconnections, no problems. I was really happy with it!
After the contract ended the price increased and broadband speed dropped to 15mb. Year later price increased again and broadband speed dropped to 12mb. This year price increased again, and the speed dropped to 6MB.
They do not watch their lines for faults at all. If your connections drops you will have to prove them its their fault, as they will never admit it. If you contact them by mail, answer will arrive just about a week later.
If you are with EE and your contract ended, change the provider, as your service will drop and they just don't care about you no more.
I had enough, switched the provider last week.

Do not go to EE unless able to get fibre as the speed is terrible. BT engineering called out to fault find and there was no fault EE set the rate low. Rate reset but two days later guess what rate reduced again. Very polite customer service most of the time although this will not help you get acceptable broadband. Please do not risk EE. Three years with SKY without problems why why did I do this.

one word: AVOID! The worst ever broadband experience I have ever had. When we signed up for it (may 2013), we received an email regarding the activation date of their service. On that date, it was not activated. When I called them they told me that my service will be activated in 2 weeks. Even though I was very annoyed, I waited 2 more weeks then it was really activated.
Then suddenly, my router want down. I called the technical team and the person I spoke to knew less then me about a broadband connection and a router. After a long discussion, I convinced him to send me a new one.
Finally, I was moving house 3 weeks ago. I called them and told them about my move date and the gentleman on the phone confirmed the day of activation and told me that my current line will stay live till the move out date. About 1 minute after I hang up my broadband was gone and the landline was cut!
I called them again and told them that I need internet before I move out and asked them to reactivate. They said it was impossible and I had to wait. I moved to my new house, then guess what? There was no connection! I called them again and they told me that I need to wait another 2 weeks to be online again.
I had a horrible experience with them. I was thinking of leaving them but other broadband providers told me that activation will take around 10 days. I wish I cancelled my contract at that time.

AVOID this company
Sign us up for a wrong contract (£9.95 per month not £2.5!!! + line rental). Services started just yesterday and I can not cancel contract. (They send me first bill and start services AFTER the date I can cancel contract). Quality is much worse we had with previous provider (Talk Talk)

worst provider ever, I registered with their cheapest bundle and immediately got the creeps when I received a confirmation with wrong bundle. So I cancelled immediately and within 14 day, EE said all sort of lies as to why they didn't process the cancellation in time, they really tried their hardest to make it hard to cancel, I then contacted Ofcom, am glad I cancelled, god knows what else would have happened

Slow speeds, but they are apparently what we are paying for. Consistently drops out, and has gotten worse since FTTP started being rolled out here. ASlways has been an issue in the bedrooms. Plotting a switch to Trooli and leaving EE and the Openreah network as a whole.

We switched to EE in 2020 because of an awful Post Office broadband experience. In my initial 2020 review of EE, I said that it was not intermittent yet and that I was having a good experience with EE so far.
Well, this no longer is the case. Some portion of the blame does lie on Openreach who decided to use aluminium instead of copper to connect our area to the DSL broadband. It always seemed to drop out in my bedrooms, but every time we had an Openreach engineer round to investigate it, the engineer found that there wasn't anything wrong, we had them round 3 times, all three times they said to use a full fibre connection but there is nothing wrong with the router. On their 2nd of 3 visits an engineer mentioned that they were using aluminium instead of copper. It was that engineer who ordered us a new router which had been promptly delivered but there wasn't much of a difference. It got worse each callout. I believe it's to try and get us to use fibre as it got worse ever since Openreach started installing fibre in my town. And naturally EE was going to approve it so that they could get more money out of us. In the end we are now switching to Trooli who gave us a good starting offer. We just need to know when they are going to come round and connect us

This is some woeful broadband. To be fair to this broadband, Openreach did literally use some aluminium under the roads for it, but still. I suppose that the only saving grace before we had our router replaced was that provided you were in the living room, it mostly didn't drop out. If you have Fibre To The Premises available and have the funds to do so, do switch and don't go with EE.

Only had this broadband provider for about 2 weeks but I have had good experiences with them so far! We chose them because they kept on calling us about switching to them and persuading us. We initially said that we’d wait around until September to decide whether we would stay with Post Office or move to EE, but because Post Office has been intermittent and lockdown and everything, along with the inability to play Roblox properly, we made the decision to switch in June and not in September.
I like that it’s faster, much more faster than PO who I’ve had to use for years.
Minimal drops of connection occurred from the broadband end. Only two so far from the router’s end and they happened on the first day (it was the first day so it’s understandable)!
It does drop a little bit in some apps but I just close them out of the app switcher and open them up again and it works fine! Might be the iPad but I do not know.
Not intermittent yet but it’s still early days. I would recommend this lot for your broadband but I wouldn’t recommend Post Office! I’m glad that mum chose this broadband!
