Happy to take the money, completely unhelpful when the service does not work. I am moving to a different supplier in a few days.

Zero rating for everything. The worst possible internet connection, and am fobbed off with cut and paste replies that "we cannot identify a problem". I recently lived in Madagascar and the connection and service puts the Post Office to shame. AWFUL!

Have not been with the Post Office for very long, but, thus far I've not been impressed with them. I signed up for claimed speeds of 30Mbs & quite often I'm seeing only 2.0Mbs ! Not impressed at all. Would not recommend them & will not use them again ...

I am so glad that my 12 months contract is coming to end this month. I upgraded for a better package thinking it will benefit me but the last 12 months resulted in nothing but a poor service all- round. Now they want to push me on to paying £37pm.Definitely not . It’s time for a change I have been a Post Office home phone and broadband customer far too long and the time has come to ditch them.

I used to be happy with post office until around a year ago then it was as if they just checked out and were replaced by robotic, uncaring, lazy, incompetent bunch of thieves! I am absolutely DISGUSTED at the way I have been treated as a customer on all fronts since they decided to nose dive to a deep cesspit with rock bottom service. My experience the last year has been a very negative one and I am still waiting to get to the bottom of the fault they charged me a colosssal amount for months ago without having fixed the problem or even telling me they were going to suddenly rob me out of my account!
    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I am absolutely incensed with the dreadful, dreadful so called service this bunch of lying thieves profess to offer. They have got to be about the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life! Their so called support is an absolutely non existent joke (but I'm not laughing) it is shocking they are actually allowed to trade at all. And they took almost £200 out of my account with no pre warning invoice or notification whatsoever for a so called service they never even gave me!! Unbelievable, stay well clear folks!

Absolutely shocking, I have lost count of the number of times I've rang to complain that my service keeps cutting out, sometimes 20 times a day. They send me an e mail insisting they have fixed the fault only for it to happen again within hours. If only I had read these reviews before switching to them. Don't even consider using them, no matter what the price is, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. If I could have left zero stars I would have.

Absolutely appalling service. I waited in 8am-1pm as per the slot I booked for the installation and had a voicemail at 1.20pm saying it would have to be rescheduled. When I tried calling to re-arrange, I was on hold for almost 2 hours with no luck. Finally got through the next day to be told the next available date was 2 weeks later leaving me without internet access. Customer service was poor and so I have cancelled the contract before it even started, which again caused a load a hassle. I don't normally write reviews but felt I had to in order to warn others thinking if going with them. Don't do it!!!

You can imagine my experience with PostOffice broadband that I started my service on 13/09 and I have cancelled it today. Postoffice customer service is the worst service in my life so far. Thanks for BT's buy out contract option, I will not have pay for termination charge.

When I tried to buy broadband from Postoffice, I got messsage that I need to call to buy it. When I spoke to them, provided all the information, however received no text, no email nothing afterwards confirming about my order. So after 15 days I decided to call them to find out. So Customer service said they were waiting for some information from me in order to complete order. That amazed me that no one contacted me, and they were waiting for information. So finally they said order gone through and gave me start date. When asked for email confirmation, customer service said they send only in post (couldn't believe that it is 2016).
So finally Broadband start date arrived, however broadband didn't start. So call again customer service from office. Customer service agent kept asking me to provide their reference number or phone number, which I was carrying with me. I told him to ask me data protection question, and for my disbelieve agent refused to do. He said you need to provide ref number from letter.
So I checked the letter at home and called again. They said it could go live upto midnight. I thought worst is over, as I dont have to call them again as my broadband will work fine. But I need to change my property so had to call again. This time they took the details and gave me go live date for new property 26/10. So I called them today to find out the progress, and as I suspected, go live date was changed to 3rd Nov. Asked them why I wasn't informed, so agent said PO tried calling few times, when I asked them what contact number you were using. Agent said that they tried calling on landline (which I told the agents in very start of the my order that I do not use landline, I prefer only mobile. They had my email still they didn't bother to contact. At this point I told him that it is one of the most incompetent company I had o deal with, to which agent said I was being rude and insulting to them and he will disconnect my call. I asked to apeak to manager or supervisor and he just disconnected the call saying "No one is here to talk to you".
There is lot more happened in between with their customer service, which I can go on and on.
So now I decided, enough is enough and cancelled it.
You dont have to suffer with postoffice, you can cancel it and Sky or BT will pay for the termination charge.

Appalling service. DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. They will only send you the router after 12 day cooling off period has started. Then for you to realise how poor it is, 3 days in to contact start I have asked them when an engineer will come out they have given no solid confirmation on times saying they will call you. Rude customer service after asking to cancel they want £160 which is a years contact near enough. Loosing business earnings due to their awful internet. KEEP CLEAR.

A terrible service. We have had post office internet for about 4 months and we can't even stream a video without it pausing several times. I have called the customer service in which I was spoken to with content and they have said I can only leave the contract if after 28 days they don't think my service is satisfactory. AVOID!

Don’t bother.......I singed up for an 18 month contract, terrible download and upload speeds, customer service is rubbish, constantly had phone calls from a robotic voice telling me my bill was overdue dispite it being paid. It is very cheap compared to other providers, but you get what you pay for, better pay the extra few pounds wash month for a decent service, I will never use them again!

I'm on the £15.90 package, I was with Sky but ended up ditching them because of increasing prices.

I signed up to PO broadband back in January as I thought £15.90 was a fair price to pay and 20% cheaper than Sky, then I read the reviews and was quite concerned this changeover would be a disaster.

I must say the complete swapover from sky to PO has gone like clockwork. PO broadband gave me the date of the switch, on the date sky went dead around 15:00, so I connected the Post Office router, internet light was green but no internet :-(, I rang customer services, a Scottish guy at PO looked into the sign-up and said everything's fine and going through and that it will be live at midnight at the latest The most terrible Internet service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Slow speeds. Random disconnects. As soon as one device is steaming Netflix / Youtube etc, you have extremely slow speeds on other devices. Wifi randomly shuts off. Weak signal when more than 2 metres away from router. What an absolute disaster.
YouTube freezings all the time in the middle of the watch.

I should have taken notice of the awful Post Office broadband reviews before switching from the(excellent) Fuel Broadband, who ceased trading unfortunately. I am now a week with no WIFI and incoming landline calls due to a faulty line, the Post Office says this is due to Openreach being 'busy' and 'understaffed'. Have had to call numerous times to get an update, each time I am fobbed off. Made a big mistake here and am going to do all I can to cancel the 18 month contract. My sanity will not last that long dealing with their extremely poor customer service

You really do get what you pay for with the post office broadband and that is utter rubbish connection. They also have told me on several occasions they would refund due to the inconveniences and interruptions in connection-they never have nor i expect will they ever.

The connection is down far more often then i have ever experienced with any other network. Next time i'll find a way to raise the extra few pounds because the stress of trying to work and being stopped by a bad connection is worse.

I'm not surprised they have reduced their price from 17 to 15 a month...they can afford to, it's the only way they would get customers. I've been with them a year and have spent more time phoning them than actually using my internet. You literally can't do anything on this service.moneys tight in my house but even still I would push to pay the extra because this service has actually affected my work it's so bad

I've not been compelled to write many reviews but I'm left no option - the Post Office Broadband is simply awful. I joined up at the beginning of the year and have encountered problem after problem. Having to wait over six weeks for an engineer was just the beginning. I wasn't able to use any form of internet for over three months - and even though it's connected now it's so slow it's impossible to use, so I've been forced to spend hundreds on purchasing extra data on my phone so I can use a hotspot. I was promised a refund for the months where I couldn't use the broadband, but nothing has come through. I then called to cancel my contract today as it's still not working well enough to use and now have been told there's a £60 cancellation fee! I'm cancelling because the service is so useless - but have to pay for the pleasure. Please avoid using this company for your Broadband - they are terrible!

I recently took out a fibre broadband contract with the PO. Initially speeds were much lower than estimated however when I contacted the PO about this the technical helpdesk were easy to contact, very helpful and arranged for Openreach to investigate. Speed is now within estimate, my only small criticism is that it took 8 days to resolve.

Do not sign up with these morons. We signed up for an 18 month contract. Everything was good for the first week. then one day the next week, no internet. Checked the phone and we were getting calls for another number. If we dialed our number it went to even a different number. Customer service would not help and threatened us with court if we cancelled. 1 month later still no internet and crossed lines!!!

    Post Office Broadband -
Most horrendous service one could ever experience, was fooled into this trap by the cashier lady at my local branch, switched from Sky to them .... and let me tell you: What a nightmare!!!
Every time one gets in touch with the customer service it’s 1 wasted hour guaranteed .... endless security checks, having to answer the same questions on and on and on... to exhaustion... nothing but headaches since we joined, trying to cancel the contract with them.... they’re trying to charge me over £300.00 .....
I am so regretful of doing ‘ business ‘ with Post Office! A word if advice: AVOID it!

Since going live, we have received a technical capability and customer service level which has been completely unfit for purpose. After weeks of engaging with the Post Office Telecom processes, we have no choice but to conclude that it fundamentally lacks both the engineering capability as well as customer service ability to competently rectify the problems.

We have been receiving fluctuating speeds on our broadband line from the start, with no clear pattern - sometimes as high as 6Mbps, but most evenings down to less than 0.5Mbps. This speed is poor enough that, at one point, we didn’t even have enough internet speed to search online for the right technical support telephone number to investigate the issue.

Worse than the actual technical problems, it seems that the business processes being followed at the Post Office customer support lines are in complete disarray.

In the first two weeks of service, the employees we spoke to assured us that the speed of our line would settle down after the fortnight “bedding in” period where speed vs. reliability tests were conducted. It did not.
Therefore, in mid-May we started conducting frequent speed tests using their tool, and feeding those data points back to Post Office Telecoms.
On 21/05/2018 we were asked to send in at least 3 ping and tracert data points using an ethernet connection and the RJ45 test socket in the main telephone point of the house (to support@pobroadband.co.uk) whilst no wifi was connected. This was done exactly per the instructions. An automated response email and later discussion with their employees confirmed our email was received - indeed, they told us, we should expect a response around 24 - 48 hours later. We just needed to give them time to look at the ping and tracert data we'd sent.
    Lovely.
    Except...
Between then and 07/06/2018, the primary account holder called in every 2 or 3 days to chase progress on this. At every call, the call centre script with your employees was basically the same: had we done speed tests? Were they on the test socket? Were wifi devices on? Was it on an ethernet connection? Can we send in ping and tracert data again? (GAH!)
Occasionally, the employees would try a variant… they’d confirm the issue had been passed to an engineering team, who had “closed the support ticket as they were waiting on ping and tracert data”. Which we duly re-sent via email the same day, and received automated email responses acknowledging its receipt.
On 07/06/2018, after many, many phone calls… as a native English speaker, who works in technology herself, and who has worked on IT support desks so has an unusually high level of patience when dealing with contact centres… our primary account holder gave up on the Post Office support team as a lost cause.
Spouse (co-account holder) took up the battle.
Thereafter has followed another week of regular support calls, with us sending speed tests, doing a fresh sets of ping and tracert data captures (with screenshot proof of wifi being off, pictures of the command line output, screen grabs of the speed test results).
The same lack of customer service has continued.
On 14/06/2018 17:46, we received an email stating that a technical fault had been fixed.
This morning (15/06/2018 09:10), we received a telephone call confirming that the Post Office had received the ping and tracert data we'd sent a few days ago. Apparently, the matter was going to be passed onto the engineering team and we would hear back within 3 working days.
Confused, we rang back to clarify why the email of 14/06/2018 had suggested a fault had been found and fixed but there was an engineering ticket open… only to be told that no one from the Post Office had emailed us, no one had called at 09:10 this morning, and that the latest status according to this colleague’s support ticket was that we needed to send in ping and tracert data. &^!^""%^"%%"^"!!!!?!?!?!
At this point, we decided to terminate the service.
We told the employee (Ryan) that we are going to post off a letter requesting that the service is terminated - the employee told her a letter won’t do any good, he will transfer her to the Service Termination Team on the call. We agreed. Except Ryan accidently cut the line whilst trying to transfer the call. Called back a few mins later to apologise and try again. We agreed again to talk to the termination team. The call was cut off again.
WE GIVE UP TRYING TO GET THEM TO PROVIDE ANY LEVEL OF SERVICE AND ARE RESORTING TO AN OFCOM COMPLAINT.
The Post Office is clearly unable to provide the service we purchased, technically or in terms of customer service. Our broadband experience has been an utter waste of time, with countless hours wasted in troubleshooting and in weeks of calls to a support team who achieved precisely nothing in that time.
We've never dealt with an organisation that was so inept!
Save yourself the headache and look to one of their competitors.
UPDATE JULY 2018: we've activated the service with a competitor and on the exact same line are getting reliable peak traffic speeds of 8-15mbs. More than ever, wish we'd not wasted 4 months of headaches with the Post Office!

I called post office at the time of when i was moving home and informed them to cancel my broad band at that time they agreed and 1 month later they called me and asked me to pay the bill for the services which i did not even use. So i explained this to them but instead of listening to their customer they started threatening me with bad credit score, they don t have an email where you can write to because on the phone everyone comes up with the different story and keeps delaying you to increase the bill. Worse company i have ever dealt with please avoid.

Absolutely awful!!!! Do not get the post office broadband!! We’ve been having sooo many issues since being with them and everytime a member of staff reviews it they say everything is fine when it’s clearly not. Hence why we are leaving. The slowest, most unreliable internet there is!!!!!

The post office broadband customer service is absolutely awful. We renewed with them 3 months ago only to get a bill the following month for a different tariff. I called straight away and they confirmed our renewal was not put through correctly and also the agent had mis sold the renewal tariff to a lesser quality broadband. They have sent us Bill's ever since and we have switched provider. They have promised me numerous call backs from the so called manager and they are completely afraid to give a surname. I am still awaiting a call 2 months later. I have told them I will report them to the ombudsman, trading standards and even go to court if I have too. They are just order takers at the customer service department and never want to deal with the issue, only collect the info and pass it to someone else who does nothing with it. I will be surprised if they fix the issue they've caused themselves

Absolutely atrocious company with abysmal customer service, The WiFi is inconceivably slow and has caused me prolonged anguish. There's probably better WiFi in Guantanamo, I even struggled to post this on the website. Overall its a company of incompetent, lobotomised kumquats.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Left my provider 1 month early and incured a charge. Signed up through topcashback online for broadband due to start 31.1.20. On 31st No internet no router received? Contacted them told me I only signed up for phone? I have evidence to the contrary
I was told to call back on the 1st feb as they where unable to put it through. I called back and told someone would call me back? No call back. Again 4th Feb promised a call back from complaints team? No call back. I cancelled before it started and went with another provider.post office is a Very unprofessional company.

Changed contract and they charged me £30 instead of £15. Fobbed off with "the contracts overlapped". Not good enough. With being disabled and the current situation we are all in with coronavirus, I can't afford £30 a month so if it's not back in my account next bill I will be cancelling and going elsewhere. Disgraceful!
