Speed is slow. Drop off in the evening regularly after 11pm, and also during the day time. Spoke to the customer service last time was not satsified. Just rang them again, be told to hold on the line was cut off automatically. Thinking to change a supplier.

We have been with ee/orange for about 3 years.
It used to be a good broadband service but since EE took orange over it has deteriorated hugely.
Our internet connection stops working on a regular basis; this has happened about 7 times and we are currently without Internet connection yet again for no apparent reason.
Calling to get it sorted out takes about an hour on the phone each time and they always "run tests" to ascertain the problem. But no one really seems to know what the problem is.
We have now been without Internet connection for 3 days and apparently no-one can sort the problem out today. someone from EE is going to call on Monday (today is sat ) to sort it out.
In addition to regularly losing internet connection, the signal has really deteriorated in power in our home.
I am going to switch to another provider. This service is rubbish.

EE broadband is sensationally lousy! Fantastically slow.....beyond belief. Not fit for the purpose. As good as unusable. Disgraceful customer services. Not interested in the customer only interested in money. Excuse on excuse but never an improvement. I absolutely cannot recommend this excuse for a broadband company to anyone at all!!!! The very moment the contract expires I am off to anyone but EE!!!!!!!!!

EE stole us without permission from BT. Their underhand tactics left us in no man's land for two weeks as I had to re register as a new customer with BT. The law has changed and new providers no longer need a Mac code. So they just went ahead and poached us!Surely some sort of law has been broken! Anyway, they have dreadful customer service. EE should be avoided at all costs. They are an unscrupulous company.

If only I could give no stars or better still minus stars for this disgusting excuse for a broadband Internet service provider. Snail pace download speed. Totally unreliable. You can guarantee being unable to log on. Buffering and freezing video streaming is the norm and as for their joke of a service department.....just don't go there!!
AVOID EE LIKE THE PLAGUE.!!!

This ee broadband is very slow. Ocassionally it is impossible to log on at all. The slow speed is a real issue because it prevents me from being able to use my internet and this happen most of the time. I was promised around 55 megabites but I am only getting 1.2. That is a massive difference. I have complained so many times but it is never fixed. Basically this is fraud. I cannot recommend EE to anybody. The moment the contract expires I am off to another provider. Frankly, I will never, ever go to EE again!

I have never known broadband as bad as this. All these reviews are right it is too slow to work and thus unfit for the purpose. EE has structured itself to not give a toss for its customers. They must know how bad it is. I have complained enough times but no improvement happens, no compensation, no attempt to help....just no interest. I cant wait to sign up to another provider. Nothing can be as bad as EE.

What can I say? If you are thinking of getting EE broadband, think again. The service is appalling and unreliable: sometimes, very rarely, it will work but almost all the time speeds will go up and down. Not my idea of good service. Save yourself from the many hours I spent turning my router off and on and don't make the mistake I, and many other people, have made.

if i could give no stars i would. not fit for purpose. think dial up and then imagine something worse. terrible customer support which ive had to call at least 5 times every year. takes them an hour on the phone to sort it out and then give it a month or so and back to dial speeds again. just get a couple of bean cans and a bit of string. it'll be more reliable. anyway ive cancelled . it was quicker to just switch rather than spend another hour on the phone to their pony customer support team .and its cheaper and faster. good riddance

This company is RUBBISH!
Was called before end of previous contract, offering decent sounding upgrade from bb to fibre
The seamless switch took 2 weeks, leaving me with no service. BT engineer was called out and fixed the issue externally. Imagine my surprise when ee took £195 from my bank account for the call out!!!
Service was sold as guaranteed 38mb, never achieve more than 20. When i questioned this with ee, they told me it is only 38 when you're using a cable connection, not wifi - funny how they forgot to mention that when they were selling me the product
Would definitely not renew with them, but am now stuck in a contract :-(

Product/cost: EE Broadband unlimited with anytime national, international and mobile calls, line rental advance / £22 pm (1st 3m £5 off)
Firstly, I do not work for EE. I have read many EE reviews here after I switched. I don't need mega broadband for P2P or gaming, just for email and catch up TV and I am happy so far with what I have bought. The switch was handled smoothly and was on time.
I moved from legacy Talk Talk with free broadband several weeks ago and have cut costs by a third - even over free broadband - as basically all calls are inclusive and as my wife lives on the 'phone and her parents live abroad, that's essential.
The router setup is plug it in and that's it. Set up Airport with details provided on a handy plastic card and working straight away. It hasn't dropped once and connection uptime is continuous, unlike the Talk Talk dropping every hour annoyance.
Speedtest increased from 1.89 Mb/s to 3.80+ Mb/s. Best though, the choking or traffic shaping that rendered the internet and especially BBC iPlayer unusable has gone. Streaming is continuos without re-buffering and two laptops can stream catchup reducing arguments.
I haven't needed to call customer services to complain about anything so far, though they called us to see if we were satisfied. If I ever have a problem with customer services I will complain in the EE shop with a raised voice on a busy Saturday morning.
All in all I am happy with this product and with the service that was and is provided. I have no reason not to recommend this.

Never before have I dealt with such an incompetent, rude, disorganised and pathetic excuse for a 'service' provider. Two months after entering into a contract with them, they are still failing to provide any connectivity whatsoever. Their technical support team is rude and uncooperative, interested only in getting you off the phone. I've been hung up on more than once and often find them to be happy to defend their terrible service.
The 'second level' technical support are just as bad. Calls are not returned, you can it thought to speak to them yourself because 'they are too busy to talk to you right now', and when the elusive, mythical engineer appointment appointment is finally allocated, he doesn't even bother to turn up.
So, two whole months on, I am stuck in a contract I cannot get out of, not once have they provided any broadband service whatsoever, and now I'm told they won't cancel the contract unless I pay them £260.00.
They are thieves, liars and time wasters. Please please please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend EE to my worst enemy.

To all do not sign with ee biggest mistake you will make.we signed up last month and since then our landline has crashed twice not only that we had two wait over three weeks each time to get it fixed.the call.centre in india are pathetic idiots who are rude and uneducated dumb retards who dont have a clue.now our broadband crashed which has been nearly four weeks running I have had to phone them up everyday to find out what's going on as they don't phone back, I have also told them taking court action in which there blocking my calls or keeping me on hold for up to half an hour at a time then reject my calls. Biggest bunch of morans who canny sort it.am now moving to another broadband after this carry on.oncw again please do not make same mistake I did.dont go with these hillbilly retards

I don't doubt the difficulties other customers have with their provider. I have had poor service many times in the past. I design global computer systems that must run at the fastest possible speed no matter what the cost, but that doesn't help much when ordering broadband. I've been using "high" speed connections from my homes since the before internet was even "born". I recently had a new domestic fibre connection installed by EE, and I really must say that the installers did a fantastic job.

If you have children DO NOT GO WITH EE.
I have had such a nightmare trying to put parental controls on the boardband.
they offer a year's worth of norton protection. which is so stupid and wrong because your in a contact with them for 18 months. after that you have to pay for your own protection.
With norton, you have to spend time downloading norton onto every single device. if teenagers have friends over with mobiles, tablets etc, they will not be protected!
Sky puts a direct block on the router. however, EE does not do this. After calling up 6+ times and evenually getting through to someone who knew what he was kinda doing, we got into the router controls but you can only block keywords.
I am thinking about paying the 220 pound cancellation fee to go with a provider such as sky that does block 18+ sites through the router so everyone going into my home is safe.

I changed to EE from Primus Newcall for which there is not a low enough rating as far as I am concerned! When I was connected to EE I could not initially get broadband and spent several hours on the phone with the technical support team (all of whom were extremely helpful) culminating in a home visit from a BT engineer who had been told the job was urgent and quickly resolved the problem. Broadband speed is excellent but only just up and running so can't comment on reliability. What a difference from months of almost daily phonecalls to Primus trying to achieve a service fit for purpose . Thank you EE for treating me as though I matter all systems can have problems it's the way they are dealt with that counts.

in the days of Orange, they were the best.. now, they are even worse than 3, and that is saying something!!. I have a fibre connection, and currently I am getting a P2P download of 180K, the phone now doesnt work in my area (weak signal). I dont know what they are doing but if they want to keep any customers the better sort it out, an QUICK.

Reported buffering problem Customer service very helpful & arranged for Openreach to visit as they said I had a problem near my home. They came & checked the whole of my house & said they would come back. Customer service called to ask how they had done & they booked a call out for following day - stayed in whole day & NO ONE came from OPENREACH - no phone call to apologise for not turning up & no call back from EE. I think they just want you to go away !!!!

EE broadband is so bad it cannot be used. It cannot serve one device let alone multiples so the router is trash as well. My firestick freezes all the time (it did not with SKY) so my 3 year old gets really frustrated with her cartoons. This ISP it totally UNFIT FOR THE PURPOSE. Customer Service department takes the p**s out of us. What a disgusting company this is. DO NOT GO NEAR EE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!!!!

This is Dire Broadband. Just absolutely totally DIRE BROADBAND!!! It is so slow that it is hard to log on and difficult to download even emails. All those things that I took for granted with my previous internet service providers are a distant dream to me now. Words fail me to describe just how dire this ee company is. No help when I complain either, just a pack of excuses. I was mis-sold this. Make sure you avoid ee.

I've had ee wifi for just less than 24 hours and I'm still in the cooling of period so tomorrow I will be cancelling this poor service, how on earth they get away with giving people this is beyond me...absolute garbage, I just left sky who where good (for Internet only) and wanted to start saving a few pennies this year so joined this joke company...BUT IF YOU ARE THINKING LIKE ME AND WANT TO SAVE PENNIES THEN DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GET THIS CRAP...POOR POOR POOR...THAT'S ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT IT...

I used to work for Orange, before they got taken taken over by France Telecom and then had to be bailed-out by the French government. Even while I was working with them I saw investment in network hardware drop-off and a sales-focused service under France Telecom replace what used to be a customer-service focus under Hutchinson Telecom (who started Orange). Since they've merged to become EE I can imagine what's happened. I still have my Blackberry with EE because the service on that is very good - I'm on contract so I'm paying for it to be very good! The issue is with my broadband, which has become near to useless since Orange became EE. As an ex-employee I know the sort of things they're likely to get up to. I got a message last night that I couldn't use iPlayer because I had 'insufficient bandwidth'- that's an ISP server-issue. I would imagine that since the merger, they've been 'rationalising' use of the servers to squeeze maximum profit out of them by giving preference to TV-package customers and throttling everyone else's service out of existence. They probably won't invest in better servers, and even if they do, with the BBC under threat and people like Sky to compete with for TV services, they'll probably still pass the advantages on to TV customers. I'll keep my mobile with EE but I'm moving my broadband, probably to BT so that I can get a combined phone/broadband deal and stand a chance of getting improvements on the access line at the same time.

Over-priced, incredibly slow and EE teams that are very difficult to pin down what is happening / why it's terrible. When I asked to leave they all said that they understand why and they are surprised at how long I have stayed given how terrible it is. Even leaving - they have made it so difficult - my new provider will do it / i should have done it - here is a bill for last month even though you thought you'd left etc. Good news when you're really messed around they offer you a £15 voucher towards a bill that you don't think you should be paying anyway!

My interaction with EE broadband has been farcical. It has been two months since I first registered to have broadband installed. Since then, my appointment has been repeatedly moved without any communication from EE - it has now been moved 10 TIMES from our original start date. Between us my flatmates and I have missed 5 days of work in order to wait for the EE person, who never arrives. At one point they actually cancelled our order without telling us. A week later we rang them and they told us they had tried to come to our address but couldn't find it so they cancelled the order. At NO POINT did anyone get in touch with us. Eventually someone in their customer service department told me that they would send us an intermediary wifi solution while we waited for the actual installation. This never arrived either. I will now be cancelling my contract and will never EVER be using their services again. This has been the most appalling customer service I've ever witnessed - I'm exhausted, pissed off and I just want my money back. I will let you know what the conclusion to this story is!

So far:
48.5 hours of chasing EE
4 days off work
22 of above hours on phone
Affected my sons birthday waiting in for an engineer that has not turned up that despite confirming it EE didn't book with BT.
Service is intermittent, drop out, latentcy is is no less than 90 but typically between 200-450.
After CUBE engineer (a clueless fob off way of charging you for a defect in your house) They claimed it was a defective router, and that it would take a week, so I buy a decent TP link one and guess what it also doesn't work.
EE finally admitted BT have known the fault exists all along.
Call centre is in Plymouth, the staff are apparently helpful however I was fobbed off for more than 2 weeks of the last 4. But they are still charging me and my EE mobile boost box doesnt work as a result due to lack of reliable broadband. Ive moved 6 times in 5 years and the reoccurring theme of shoddy broadband keeps coming up, but this is by far the worst yet.
Its seriously affecting my ability to trade Iam sick of it. Update whilst typing this another BT engineer, another day to wait and 'monitor' the line. Offered free exit but what does that solve, ill still be connected the the same line and the same box and exchange, and served still by BT openreach who are incompetant morons.
