Valter Simão

Valter has been involved with Broadband Genie in one capacity or another since 2014, and now heads up the Product department. He's responsible for working out what we build, when, and why. He works closely with the team to turn problems and ideas into clear plans everyone can get behind.

What drives him is making broadband easier to understand. Choosing a deal shouldn't be a headache, and if he can take one more thing off someone's plate, that's a good day's work!

Fittingly, his very first proper job was tech support for a local council, fixing Wi-Fi and installing mesh networks, so in hindsight he was probably always going to end up here.

Outside of work he reads a lot of fiction, tackles DIY projects with more ambition than skill, and has fallen down the 3D printing rabbit hole, producing a steady supply of things nobody asked for.
