Broadband patcy and often didn't work on my phone. When a promotion ended they didn't tell me it would double the bill and rolled over the contract for another 18months without me knowing.

This company is in my opinion run by gangsters,or at least they act like them. Today when after spending hours sorting a faulty broadband connection via there overseas call center, they finally traced the fault over the line to my BT wall mounted connection box. Its seems the boxes built in filter has developed a fault.They then said that I needed an engineering visit and it would cost me £40. I went ballistic pointing out that the box has nothing whatsoever to do with me and is from BT as part of the line rental. They then had the audacity to say that I had somehow broken the box. The wall connection box is in perfect external condition and lives behind furniture in my study. They have now agreed to to a free visit after I turned nasty.
This company are absolute rubbish who hide from their customers in overseas call centers.Do not go with them as you will surely live to regret it.

Still not managed to get it working!
I was lured by the cheap internet high speed fibre cost.. More fool me. My switch from Sky to Talk Talk sounded straight forward enough, seeing as I already had the latest Openreach master socket and was switching to the same high speed fibre service... How wrong was I. The new hub arrived just the day before the engineer was due and the switchover scheduled last Friday... The engineer turned up 5 hours early (lucky i was in). Told me I was good to go and to phone Talk Talk to get it activated. I phoned Talk Talk who after an extremely frustrating discussion told me I had to wait up until midnight for it to go live. So I left it all plugged in, my phone still worked. The next day still no internet... So I phone back. Oh, I now need to wait until Monday, so no internet all weekend. They didn't tell me Sky was still active, so by accident I tried that old Sky hub and it still worked. Phew.. Monday comes and I saw an Openreach guy in the green cabinet down the road working, then suddenly no phone line (dial tone), no sky, so I think oh, I'll plug the Talk Talk hub back in. Nothing works now not sky, Talk Talk or my phone line. Hours of frustrating phone calls later and repeating myself and the customer service finally agree to raise an Openreach fault so an engineer can investigate. This by the way is still not fixed. I had to insist on speaking to the persons manager before they would raise a request for an Openreach engineer. To do this they run through hours of scripted conversation from their call center in India (which turns out isn't even a Talk Talk service center but a 3rd party). Then "Nadia" kept me on hold for about 20 minutes whilst I waited for her manager who mysteriously had to go to a meeting but authorised my engineer (They wanted to charge me by the way to have an engineer fix a service that had never actually worked). I have not dealt with such an incompetent company before in my life. If I thought I could switch somewhere quickly I would but I think leaving them would be just as arduous. Please just avoid this shambles of a company for your own sanity. I am still without any phone line or internet and am losing my own time and money trying to fix this for my family and me. If it ever works I might update the speed rating...

Had another issue with talktalk again this week. Giving me a customer service charge for a late payment when I actually paid before the deadline. The customer service agent who I spoke with regarding this issue even tried to convince me that a £5 reduction on the service charge was a gesture of good will. The customer service agents on call can't even understand English and have no interest in resolving situations.It's not the first time this has happened and I cant wait for my contract to end and be rid of this broadband company for good.

Talktalk is the worst broadband i dont recomend them to anyone, they dont tell you when your contract is up and they put the charges up we started off paying 17 pound then ended up paying £30+ we tried to cancel twice and they tried to stop that from happening by saying both times we have to wait 30 days to cancel (60 altogether)

Costumer service ridicules, every single month problem with payments. I told you my few times my wife change the surname automatically change bank account surname is well, 10 month battle for change account details. Every single month talk talk charge me 12£ extra for send me email with remainder. You are ridiculous, you never happened again. And for future customers, stay away from talk talk .

If I could I wouldnt rate them at all. They dont deserve any stars. Not had proper broadband for 3-4 months now. I have been going round and round in circles with them saying maintenance is fixing the issue, messaging me saying it's fixed when it clearly wasnt. I have switched the virgin now. And will be ensuring I have written evidence that my contract has been cancelled. DONT GO THERE, AVOID THEM!!!

4 years on TalkTalk never been asked to get new router. Every time speed is 0.1Mbs - 0.85Mbs.
Ask for help many times no ones help.
Looking for new supplier and TalkTalk never suggest to any one . The poorest service . Customer service very bad . Sad for waisting money.

upgraded to talktalk faster fibre broadband and gave me a new router .. router initially failed to connect to the internet took 2 hours to find remedy on online and telephone chats .. day after internet was still constantly crashing 2 more hours wasted .. Talktalk state average speed should be 38Mb but speed checker only shows 20 now they are going to arrange for a free engineer call ... frustrated

Unbelievably atrocious.

Statements like, "void the contract and delete my details," and, "I am no longer a customer of talktalk," are apparently not clear enough to qualify as cancellation (even if you open correspondence with them by registering a complaint and asking them to convince you not to cancel).
But they won't tell you this, they'll wait two years, sell off a "debt" to collection agents, and claim they have no evidence of your statements..because they deleted the correspondence, the complaint and the accompanying message chain.

Never have I been so glad to be a hoarder of correspondence.

Also, appears team members, and team leaders, in the CEO complaints division are unaware of some fairly basic things of great relevance to their work, up to and including talktalks own customer complaints code of practice lol.

I'll, eventually, be taking talktalk to court.
The lawyer says I should wait for my deadlock letter, head through CISAS, then get talktalk in court to try and defend themselves. I'd describe the lawyers' current attitude as, "laughing all the way to the bank," lol.

Do not ever enter in to a contract with talktalk, they will not provide what they promise, they will obfuscate and outright lie, and they will ignore your requests to cancel.

Never has a company been so deserving of a negatively starred review.

Talk talk. What can I say that hasn’t already been said, they are an awful provider. I have spent 6-8 weeks with little or no connection. The live chat is pointless, twitter support is worse, they eventually get you through to ‘ceo’ support. None of these people do anything to resolve your issue. Lots of talk and questions, never a resolution. Just do not bother with them pay the extra for Sky and BT.

I am sure talktalk will post a reply about ‘contact us’, ‘we are sorry’ get the message folks, get some engineers and people who can actually fix issues. Not these low paid customer service folks who want to be your mate. Your killing your customers.

They are phoning me night and day to try and get me to take their broadband. Keep telling them I am happy with who I am with but they are not listening. Keep blocking them but they keep using different numbers. I hate to think how they treat you once you have a contract with them!

Today my internet was cut off for no aparant reason or without warning at 1.20pm. I called the customer help line and found the person rude and evasive. She informed me that there had been restrictions on my account. I found this very strange because I had called talk talk earlier that day at 8.20am to pay my set bill. I immediately asked to be put throught to a manager or someone who can help me. I then spoke to mike from technical support who was understanding and patient who truly understood what I was going through I explained the situation and he calmly explained it happeneds all the time and that it's a common thing he totally defused the situation and helped me get back online. I found this to be great customer service because I was not happy with my internet being cut and I was very close today switching broadband networks.

Shout out to mike from technical support your a legend mate and deserve a raise.

If only- rating is available,talktalk well deserve a (-) rating. Terrible connection, unbelievable how slow. DO NOT USE TALKTALK and they even make my partner wait for 40 mins on line, terrible terrible service.

After a while, broadband starts getting unstable. Usually just before an ad campaign for expensive upgrades. It then takes ages to work your way through customer service until you finally get to technical support who can adjust te signal to noise ratio. Then it works again. We had this 3x in the last 4 years, and every time they try to sell us an upgrade first...

They were charging me to find my mobile without it going to answering machine, because I hung up when I heard where it was. I had a conversation with the customer service, they contradicted them selves over and over direct lying to people, just think if they do that to all customers they could be making billions per year. When some of us could do with that extra pound or two here and there.

Awful service, I am getting huge mobile Bill's because I have to use my phone data because internet keeps disconnecting. Everyday it disconnects and will not work. Average speed tends to be around 6mps when working, really really really terrible

Talk Talk broadband is a joke. In order to watch Netflix or anything on TV I have to use my personal hotspot with my phone’s 4g to have internet on my laptop and then connect the laptop to the TV with HDMI because 80% of the time my broadband doesn’t work.
I will never ever get talk talk again!

Rubbish service , i had better download / upload rate through wireless from neighbour (BT - via BT-FON) than i had from them . Also loads of problems with customer service . Been away from country for 3 months but i paid the full bill when i returned 109£ (around 60 was penalty)in same day i paid i got the service disconnected even that bill was paid in advance and they supposed to provide me another month of service . Then they charged me the next month with another 31£ disconnection fee clause when was not even my choice to be disconnected and i didnt had a fixed term contract either . Rubbish avoid them, TalkTalk should be the last resort .

Terrible, a lot worse than the wifi in my Year 1 accommodation. It's so slow, even when I'm the only one in the house. It often doesn't load websites properly and when I video call my boyfriend he says I sound robotic and my video lags. Can't wait to move into my new student house and use a better provider.

Been with talk talk for many years. Recently price increased due to end of contract. Offered better price if upgrade to faster fibre. When we did slow speed. Line test showed fault. Engineer booked but didn't come.Waited in all afternoon. On calling they said engineer came but couldn't gain access. They charged £30 for missed appointment although we WERE in. Feel as though I have to prove I was in my own home. Terribly disappointing customer service for a loyal customer? will get out as soon as I can. Avoid at all costs!

Speed and reliability is absolutely appalling. I have contacted customer services on several occasions and become increasingly frustrated with the way in which they try and fob me off with feasible excuses and tell me that I need to upgrade to fibre rather than to try and resolve my problem.

If I could sue them for false advertising I would there isn’t a day goes bye that this awful broadband service isn’t down so much so I’m on first name terms with their engineers you should avoid at all costs you will only be giving yourself another problem as if life isn’t bad enough with your business can’t be done because your chasing engineers you can’t stress enough to avoid never ever go near this crew of inept suppliers.

Was with Talktalk for a few years and honestly, I think the only reason for it was the cheaper price... I had the broadband only package which was fine for me. It worked alright for a good while - not the fastest speeds around but it did the job. The trouble started around 6 months before we finally left - the connection got very unreliable - it would cut out frequently, streaming anything uninterrupted just didn’t happen. We got an upgraded router and things seemed to be ok for a little bit until the trouble started again - at the end we literally had to message them every day as we could not get online for hours on end. As this happened after i came back from a holiday, suspected i could have gotten capped due to inactivity although they claim there are no caps... The customer service was not helpful at all - not one of them could tell what the problem was and on a couple occasions i was just given instructions how to connect to wifi on my smartphone... seriously?! Although our connection would coincidentally get restored once I’d message them... An absolutely infuriating experience. Have moved on now and couldn't be happier. Hopefully don’t have to deal with them again.

I was one of TalkTalk customers.I havent been a customer since a year Jaunary since their broadband speed is terrible.
I found out after one year TalkTalk charges £36.95 per month now comes up to £547.86
Now TalkTalk they are messing around and avoiding to refund the amount.
When you switch to TalkTalk think before doing so.

Absolutely shocking, avoid to all extend! They will shut you off if you want to cancel, and absolutely DO NOT sign-up via phone. Get everything in paperwork! as I was lied to about the T&C.

We've been with TalkTalk for five years now. I know they get a bad rap, but I honestly can't fault them. I had an issue with the phone line that did talk a while to get sorted, but the fault was at the exchange so the blame there lies with Openreach, not TalkTalk. I get consistuant 70Meg download speed and 20Meg upload in my North Essex village, so speed is good. They even sent me the latest router free of charge as a sorry for the phone fault.
My only slight annoyance is a lack of UK call centre. The staff in the Indian call centre do try their best, but they can be hard to understand at times.
Prices are very good too. Much cheaper than BT and many others. Overall, very happy with the service.

Service drops out all the time. Dealing with their customer service is a totally miserable experience. DON'T use them. If you have a problem it is actually easier just to switch provider than try to resolve it with Talk Talk.
