Problems from day one. Very slow speed and constantly drops off and cuts out altogether. After one review they called me and promised to fix but never called back on the date promised and never fixed issue. I want out of contract as I have had enough. Spoils my movies and can't play games as too slow.

I looked into getting service with talktalk. There were two requests that we had. 1. A 12 month contract and 2. Installations on Saturday. I asked this before discussing any plans, because I wanted to make sure this was fine before proceeding. On the Saturday installation, I was told it was not a problem. On the 12 month contract I was told no company does less than 18 months. So go with us and if you need to leave, pay the cancellation fee.

So I proceeded to go through the plans. Chose one. And once we were confirming installation times, I was told Saturday installations would not be possible. I said then I'll have to go with another provider, but they tried to persuade me that every internet provider uses the same service to book engineers and they do not work Saturdays.

Shortly after the phone call I found two other companies that both offer installation times that suit. And to my su
rprise, a 12 month contract.

Unfortunately, Virgin was the first of these providers and they did not provide services in my area. But they referred me to 'simplify digital' and now I've signed up to Sky without needing tp compromise any of my needs.

What I found extremely disappointing is that they tried to convince me they were providing a service which is standard and I would find no better. Better customer service would have been to tell me unfortunately they cannot fulfil my needs and all the best.

Worst internet ever. If you are deciding to go with talk talk you should think twice.every time I'm in a game of FIFA/2k/ cod...it buffers so bad that it even kicks me of the server sometimes. I was an idiot when deciding what broadband to get and didn't look at the reviews.had I Known that it has a 2.6 rating I would have never had gone with it

Tomorrow I'm cancelling my direct debit and my contract. I've been with Talk Talk for 5+ years and when we moved they just took the mickey of it.

Was told would get max speed of 3.3 mbs/s and a min speed of 1.2 mbs/s and instead we barely get .70 kb/s. When called spent two hours on the phone to sort the issue out. They took 10 mins just to run a line test and told us that the fault wasn't with them, but somehow with us or there was no fault at all and although they were supposed to send out an engineer for our new home, one never showed up. They say one wasn't needed, but now they want to charge us £65 to have the engineer that we were told was supposed to come out, actually come out.

When making a complaint of the unhelpfulness of the customer service rep. Was told a ridiculous story that it can take 10+ days for 'the line to settle' so we could get the speeds listed.

Not buying it. My neighbors all get 2.62 mb/s to 37mb/s on other carriers. So I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Customer service is awful. I am moving properties (From a rental into a new build I have purchased). I have been with them for nearly 2 years. Got like 5 months on my contract. Wanted to renew it long term in the new property but I had 2 months where I had no where for the line to go (my new property doesn't want me to add a line into the property as they already have broadband) so for the sake of me having 2 months away from their service they charged a massive early cancelation fee.

Customer service didn't really care about keeping me as a customer. Just seemed a lot more interested in getting the cancelation fee out of me and moving on.

100% will NOT use talk talk again. Disgusted with their customer service team. Very inflexible and considering I've been with them for several years and called to say "Look, I'm going to be homeless staying with family for 2 months but I have a new build property I am moving in to in 2 months, I want to use your service when I am in my own owned property, can we do anything?" and was just told no you have to pay the cancelation fee, put the broadband onto another property (not possible for me) or get a friend to take over the service (I won't have any friends who have no internet that will want to take over my internet service for 5 months. Who does that?)

Awful options. Awful customer service. Very inflexible and just generally unhappy with what I was offered. Would have been more than happy to say something like I still absolutely owe you 5 months of service so I will re-instate those 5 months once I am in a position to receive the service, plus I would have been happy to extend my contract and/or guarantee that I would sign a new contract after that period. Happy to work with them but nope, just wanted rid of me, biggest cash payment they can off me upfront and to shove me on elsewhere. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

I wish i could leave an even lower score. I switched my broadband on the 30th november 2016 and nothing has worked properly ever since. The only thing they have been efficient with, is taking my money. Luckily because they did not bother to fix my problem within the 28 day time frame i have been lucky enough to escape the £280 they were demanding i paid to leave, even though they never provided me with anything that worked. I spent hours trying to get this sorted and one night alone i spent 3 hours on 1 call, they constantly passed me from one department to another and then eventually just hung up. Please don`t waste your time or money. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH

Do not attempt to use this absolute useless company. Over 1 month waiting for them to install it and when the installation day came they did not turn up and rearranged for two weeks later. Today is the second installation day and low and behold they did not turn up again. 10 times and 3 jours on the phone today trying to get this sorted and there response is they will rearrange and have someone call back in 24 hours. 2 days from work and still no internet.

Moved to Scotland from London and therefore terminated my agreement - unbelievably poor customer service which eventually got an outcome when I stopped the Direct Debit but three months on still haven't received the £12.53 they owe me for over payment. Have written three times with all attachments They have yet to reply to my letters even though I asked them to and with their customer service you are wasting your time as it's clear the staff are reading from a script and can't take or make decisions. Pathetic - AVOID

Would give 0 stars if possible. Broadband intermittent at best. Unable to watch tv continuously. No tv for 1week, broadband failed. Cancelled contract. Customer services do not speak English. Open reach engineer turns up, puts card through door, but doesn't knock or ring door bell. Why do we still have a monopoly in 2018 ? Complained to CS who advised they wouldn't charge, I wouldn't have paid anyway. You have been warned...do not use...

TalkTalk have absolutely the worst customer service I have ever known. They do not know their knee from their elbow. I wanted to upgrade the broadband & landline to getting TV and extra packages. I could see great offers online 50% off pretty much everything I wanted. I called to confirm what I could get. Offshore call centre, didn't know the packages and keot putting me on hold. I went on the online chat, he couldn't advise on prices. after an hour I gave up. Next day I tried again and did get a helpful advisor who after an hour (some kind of time delay at his end!) gave me a good offer to renew my broadband & landline at half price but couldn't give me TV prices, gave me the Upgrade Team number to phone. I called them but she wouldn't give me the price the earlier advisor had. Not even the 50% offer plastered all over the internet. After 40 minutes debate and being put on hold, she advised me to speak to the Loyalty Team! Yes really!
I called SKY and within 20mins had an excellent offer with whistles & bells.
TalkTalk Cancellation Team were extremely helpful today.

If you are thinking about getting talk talk broudbrand don't because it is terrible. It's constantly goes off all the time and it is so slow I struggle to watch a 30 second video. So please don't get this wifi, it should be illegal for how bad their wifi is.

Having been with Talk Talk for quite a few years with no problems I was happy with the service I was receiving. The broadband worked and the billing was fine. People had warned me however to be careful with them because when it goes wrong, it goes very wrong. I smugly didn't believe them as I was paying a pound less than them for a working service.

All I can say is when it does go wrong it goes about as wrong as I have ever seen anything go.

Basically my broadband kept cutting out.

The call centre staff in India or wherever aren't native English speakers and every time you call in you have to explain everything from the beginning again. This gets pretty frustrating.
They sneak things onto your bill, my last bill was for £148.00 for just the broadband.
They've been trying to resolve my fault now for nearly 9 months, they fix it every third day and then it breaks again the day after, starting the process again.

I've dealt with some pretty incompetent companies in my time but Talk Talk take it to a new level.

If you are with them I would suggest swap them as soon as you can, don't suffer my pain when it goes wrong. It will !

If you are thinking of using them as your provider, just don't. They really are shockingly bad.

Very disappointed with the service. Three weeks after ordering the broadband, I still have no connection.
An engineer came once, but didn't finish the job. I spent hours on the phone, trying to get another engineer, but it's useless. I really regret my decision to join TalkTalk.

I have been with TalkTalk for many years and have put up with their generally poor customer service as it seemed too much hassle to change provider. Recently though things have gone rapidly downhill with consistent problems on both my broadband and phone with the technical support that is offered being completely useless. After waiting to be put through you find yourself talking to a call centre in India where they just keep running through the standard script. So far it has taken over 5 hours of calls just to make the realise that I have fibre (not dsl) and that the problem is not with my router. I know that what I need is an Openrrach engineer but the process they insist on going through will take nearly two weeks.
Based on this I have decided to finally leave TalkTalk as things seem to be getting ever worse and they really don’t seem to care if you stay with them or not. Needless to say that they are charging me over £100 to leave as apparently I ‘extended’ my contract with them and it is still running (despite them being apparently unable to offer the service that I contracted them for). This alone shows how badly they treat existing customers so I would warn anybody who is thinking of using them to shop around as nearly everybody else seems to be better.
I am sure this review will get the ‘standard’ response from them about contacting their chat service - this again proves how little effort they put into their customer service.

Terrible service . Internet is always really slow . Customer service is terrible. They promise you a phone call back but never do . I’ve never had it sorted when I’m always on the phone complaining had it over a year but I’m going else where now . Best advice I could give anyone is to never have talk talk broadband is all lies you never get what they promise and simply do nothing to sort it out . They should be shut down and banned. I’ve never heard one good word spoken about them. I’m ment to be having super fast broadband!!! Slowest internet I have ever had.

Avoid at all cost. Have had problems with broadband speeds for several months. Despite several hours on the phone problem still ongoing. Telephone assistants unable to grasp the issue and insists on taking me through initial checks every time. they basically are not interested in sorting out the problem. it would appear that too many of us are using the same signal thus as the day goes on with more demand by talktalk users the broadband speed just slows down. appalling service. Had to phone the company last Monday and last night because of the broadband cutting out and my partner neede it for work.Unfortunately I rang a very sarcastic young lady at about 7 last night -I was told on the first Monday that I would not have to carry out the internal line test again however I was told I had to 'do it again' sarcastically by last nights telephonist and again in the same tone of voice she told me -'Make sure your in when the engineer calls right!'after I told her that we work till 5 every day .I could not believe her attitude -she was so impatient and rude . I unfortunately am in an 18 month contract with Talk Talk but if there is anyway I can get out of it I will.

If you want cheap - go with TalkTalk but if customer service, honesty and integrity matter to you then don’t. Be aware also that every time you contact them, for any reason at all they automatically extend your contract. I called to terminate today because I’m moving, they want to charge me in excess of £135 - I have a letter stating my contract end date but three separate operators all stated it was 4 months later than said letter. Their online chat system is shocking, I was online for over an hour and a half and my complaint is still not resolved. There is a language barrier because the company is outsourced and the operators cannot deviate from their ‘script’.
Please don’t sign up to TalkTalk - they are truly awful to deal with.

Speed is terrible! I signed up on 13th february 2016 and its now may and i still havent received the £75 love 2 shop voucher. Always giving comflicting information. Going to trading standards to see if i can get out of this contract

Worst company I have ever dealt with! Engineer booked to come to my home on the 29/11/2018 and my services to be active by midnight, engineer never turned up. I rang him to be told he didn’t have the job and to call someone else, I then speaks to the person who is suppose to be here, to be told he’s now out of town so it’s tough luck!!!
I rings talk talk and not once did I get to speak to someone I could actually understand propley! I kept been put on hold every 2 minutes.
Then then text me, and after explaining the issue a further million times, they still haven’t come to a resolution!
I woke advise anyone to NOT USE TALK TALK, unless you like been pissed about, and wasting valuable days waiting in for engineers who do not actually turn up!
I will be cancelling my contract with immediate effect!!

Dont get talktalk its a pile of crap, we pay over £20 for internet speeds of 0.9 mbps (average download/upload speed) and every time we call up to fix something it takes up to an hour to get through and the person on the other end are always really unhelpful plus when the technicians come to fix the internet they just give us a new modem which fixes the problem for about 5 minutes. Also the ethernet ports at the back of the modem only run speeds of 100mbps which isnt enough.

If I didn't have to pay the exit fees, I would not be with this company. Customer service is absolutely shocking... have problems with my bill as in, they are different every month!. All sorts of problems, never a English person on the phone, not that I'm racist, box not working on a few occasions. Terrible company...
The post office is only £15.90 a month so everyone knows.

if there wasd a minus star i wopuld pick that this bis the most disgusting isp there is 3 months of nonsense aboiut my 2half speed try to cancel wait forever on the phone they couldnt care less but charge for a full service chats are a complete waste of time today was the final straw with the agentcompletely contradicting what I was told last friday they cant even get their stories right despicable useless technical people how is it possible that today they have an open complaint which they say they are dealing with when they have been saying that since October 2017 their service is terrible their agents usless and as slow as their broadband most disgusting company that i have ever had the misfortune to deal with shocking and unacceptable

Probably one of the worst companies i have dealt with, £50.00 charge for how to on installation ,engineer here no more than 10 mins 18 month contract absolute waste of money broadband has never worked from installation/ tv service useless unable to use had to be reset, every time i use , hidden charges not explained . I am a pensioner and found the whole experience appalling hard to deal with customer service of no help any contact was made by email only now after 18 mths have i received a return call when i requested cancellation AVOID THIS COMPANY

The single worst customer service and broadband service I have ever received.

After complaining profusely about the strength of signal around a fairly small one bedroom apartment and several visits from engineers I was advised that for better service to upgrade to the Faster Fibre option as I had been getting drop outs consistently, and very very low speeds - 0.5 - 1gb/s. We argued hard and felt we were well deserving of a contract break due to the lack of agreed service. We were offered a new deal! Fast fibre broadband with speeds of ATLEAST 32.5 gb/s and here I am posting this review at 5gb/s. After complaining yet again I am stuck in the process of many engineer visits and arguments but I will, with every ounce of spirit I have be rid of this menace to my work and gaming life alike, please heed my advice go with Virgin.

absolutely awful customer service. I applied for a new line. On the day it was supposed to be installed the engineer did not arrive. talktalks customer service department they told me there was no way to know why the engineer did not turn up or where he was.
all they could do apparently was call me 48 hours later to let me know when another engineer might be available. This was after speaking to multiple staff members including 2 managers and spending an interminable amount of time on hold. needless to say I have cancelled my account an will be going to ma different internet provider

Avoid talk talk. DO NOT hire talk talk. After a long set up wait and an engineer visit, internet was not working. Then had to wait for 3 extra weeks for a talktalk engineer appointment. He didn't fix the issue, and had to wait 2 extra weeks for another engineer who allegedly fixed the line, but still no service. After more than two months with not trace of service, I tried to cancel. This was even worse. They made me repeat my story over and over, having unbelievable excuses to postpone my cancellation. I have been told that I had been cancelled 3 times already, but bills still keep arriving. They look for reasons to charge you wherever they can, whether you are getting the service or not is out of the question. Don't trust what customer service says either. After 8+ hours at the phone, I can tell you, DO NOT HIRE TALK TALK.

Absolutely terrible:- customer service, download speed, upload speed, continuity of service and router !!. If your thinking of an internet PROVIDER, this company isn't the place to look. I'm leaving them and will fight the legal ramifications that will come along with it. AVOID this company at ALL costs !!!.

I'm not a keyboard warrior. Most of the time I can't be bothered to leave reviews but I had to for Talk Talk. They are so rubbish at their job it's laughable. I have super slow broadband, they have charged me for repairing it. I have to pay over £200 to leave and am seriously considering as they are HORRIFIC. If I was as bad at my job as they are at theirs I would never be employed. Do not be tempted with their cheap deals, you get what you pay for and it's just not worth it. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Absolutely rubbish, a internet provider should not be able to take money of people when their service is this bad. Waste of time. You will regret it if you use talk talk. Internet is slow and when it works it can't handle anything on the internet which shows a red light on the box. Not a good word to say about them.

Terrible company, have had no emails for 15 days now. I have rung every single day as instructed but all they say is they will escalate my problem and for me to ring in 24 hours.
How hi can you escalate after 15 days????
I have lost work because of this useless company and now have changed my provider. Please please don't use Talk Talk.
