can only logon 3 times out of 10 attempts. Stays on 'loading' forever 3 times out of 10. Often does not 'send' or have to wait several mins. before it does. Often it doesn't work at all. Think I should change my e.mail to yahoo

A simple task like moving house is turning into a nightmare. I rang Talk TAlk last week and spoke to a very helpful chap. As ther is going to be a month or so gap between leaving one property and moving into another I was advised that my account could be frozen until I was ready to move into my new house and a note would be made on my account explaining this. All I needed to do was ring to give them 24 hours notice to close down the services at my old address and freeze the account. Thats when the fun began. This morning I attempted just that. After speaking to person A and having to explain exactly what I wanted I was transferred to person B and had to g othrough it all again despite there being notes on my file. Person B put me on "hold" while she actioned the request but after 10-15 minutes it donned on me that the line was in fact dead. I re-dialled and had to go through the whole process again with a different person A before being transferred to a different person B. After she spent another 10 minutes asking what Iwanted she then decides to tell me that the system is very busy and can she call me back before 6pm tonight. No she bloody well can't!!!! I am in the office and this should have taken 10 minutes max but I have been passed around for over 45 minutes now. Simple, if I do not receive a call by 4pm(my normal leaving time) I will cancel the DD and walk away. The ycan write all they like , I won't be there. I vote with my feet when I get crap service!!!!

We've just migrated from BT Infinity and were nervous about our choice given the poor reviews of talk talk and EE whom we were choosing between.
    TalkTalk have been excellent.
They delivered everything when they promised. We had a small DNS issue which they have resolved immediately and were available at the end of a phone on the 3 times I called them. Yes its an offshore customer service desk, but they know what theyre talking about and they answer the phone and that's what counts.
We are achieving 38MBPS consistently and this is more than enough for video conferencing, tv and video streaming and all our needs.
    Strongly recommend Talk Talk.

I have been with talk talk for many years. Over that time the prices have gone up and the service down. As for customer service - whats that. They don't listen, understand or do anything to sort the problems out. You are lucky to find someone on the other end of the phone who understands or speaks english. If the sevice works it's ok but the tv rarely works and the youview box is so slow you can make a cup of tea while waiting for it to change channels. In short don't go to talk talk unless you want poor service people who don't speak English and fast rising prices for a service that does not work. Bright side the phone works fine to phone them up to complain if you want to be on the phone for hours!

We were contacted by TalkTalk to say we had cancelled our contract to another supplier. It was not true as existing contract runs out 2024. They said the new co had an unusual name. They then talked my husband into renewing a contract for 12 months. He wasnt aware our contract didn't end until 24. He agreed. We had 6 letters saying sorry you are leaving saying we will owe over £120. We then had a letter re new contract. This week they disconnected us! I had emailed saying we didnt need a contract as we had one already. We have rang so many times, a promise to ting us back, putting us through to other depts, being cut off and still no response. Customer service is absolutely appalling. It says chat on line and all you get is the stupid chat bot. Once again sent urgent email. No response. Utterly disgraceful.

Rubbish Customer services, sent me another box even though being a customer I had one, charged £25 for their error, sent Two bags to send it back which are too small, tried to get me to pack it and pay for postage.

A so called Manager rang me with a lot of Rubbish and did not resolve anything.

    Go elsewhere

Upgraded to fibre broadband 2 weeks ago, so wish I hadn't bothered. Most unreliable internet I have ever had. Almost every day since I upgraded I have had to contact them with continuous issues, upload speed as slow as 1.23 on a speed check. Extremely frustrating! Escalated issues by customer services to open reach where no problems detected. Yet still no constant speed?? Absolute joke wouldn't bother upgrading and I am going to cancel contract and go elsewhere.

If I could leave zero stars for this company I would. They cut off the service for no reason, then couldnt recover the old number which our new provider managed quickly. Their help desk and communications are truly unbelievable. Dont go anywhere near this disorganised mess. Call lines where their employees dont understand and cant speak English. Total disaster

Wanted to charge 116 exit fee as I was moving house. Our buyers charged 27 by their broadband company how can they justify this difference. Wouldn’t let me speak to a manager then had the nerve to say ask your buyer to pay the exit fee!

Absolutely appalling. At least 2 or 3 times a day I only get "restricted" access for the broadband which really means not working at all. I wish I had never subscribe to their TV,Broadband and phone package. the TV box has to be reset almost every night or it does not allow me to watch on demand or record, or it's so pixelated that i cannot watch it. My phone line has gone down twice in 2 months. Choosing Talktalk was one of the worst mistakes

I have found TT perfectly OK, apart from the October scam last year (which I spotted straight away) TT has served me well. Price wise can not be beaten, speed for fast fibre is good. Whenever I need customer support (which is rare) always satisfied me. I know TT has had some bad feedback BUT I talk as I find. I have NO connection with TT just a satisfied customer.

Shockingly bad. Over paid a monthly payment and having to battle to get it refunded. During the process, it transpired I am also owed a refund from a previous talk talk account from previous years. They sat on it and never notified me. Thats appalling. The actual broadband was rubbish despite being assured it would be ideal for my requirements. I strongly advise NEVER to use this company.

When I ordered the broadband, they pestered and pestered me with emails and messages that I should make sure I had the router ready for the engineer to install. When he arrived, he told me he wasn't supposed to install it and I should do it myself.
When I got going, I found that I had only restricted access to the internet. I complained, and they told me that "Kids Safe" was implemented on my account. I'm considerably in excess of 6 years old. They would not remove it, and gave me long instructions as to how I should do this myself, including changing my internet browser if necessary. I'm really hacked off with them.

Do not use this company under any circumstances. Like other customers who have left recent reviews, I have been charged £65 which they will not refund as the fault is apparently on my equipment, which is certainly is not. I have tried 3 different routers, 2 different handsets, had a new socket installed and changed all cabling. It cannot be my equipment. Speed is poor, router is second-rate. All the issues (strange router behaviour, outages, odd 'data' noise on the landline) that appeared last October are still there now. Also they tied me in to an 18 month contract and upped the price after doing so. I can't afford to pay 6 months rent in cancellation fees, so I am taking this further. I have already spent hours on the phone, and still have dodgy behaviour on the router (it has a red light, but activating my smart phone *sometimes* triggers the broadband connection), I still have the weird noise on the line, I have taken time off work for engineer visits, and nothing has changed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I have been penalised for paying early! They refuse to lift the bar on the account despite payment received. They will not offer any compensation for loss of earnings and inconvenience. Customer Services is the worst I have encountered. Too many departments. I have spent many hours being passed from one to another with no resolution.

I had joined talk talk, they gave me a installation date, which the failed to come, phoned them, and they apparently didnt have any record of me on the system, then magically founf us, they gave us another date that they were coming, which they did.
Broadband was working fine for 3 weeks, then talktalk cancelled our order, and cut us off.
Phoned talk talk several times, they they didnt know why we had been cut off of our broadband, but amitted it was there fault.
After conversations with talk talk they have said they can only re-connect us in 2 and half weeks.
As this wasn't good enough, i spoke with the CEO, who also wasn't helpful, i had explained that my wife works from home, and as its talk talk fault i had bern cut off, i want compensating, she said it wasn't her problem that my wife works from home, and the only date to reconnect is 2 and half weeks, with a £15 credit.
I told the CEO that it wasn't good enough.
I have now left talk talk, what an appalling company, and an appalling CEO.
Virgin media have great deals on and have decided to go with them.
Also i have reported them to watch dog.

Terrible, how on earth can they claim to be Britain's favourite choice!!! Terrible connection speeds, always dropping out, customer services are about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. We had problems from day one, and despite jobs being logged to try and fix TV/broadband with a service engineer, no-one ever showed up and the jobs were closed as completed. I gave then 2 weeks to fix the issues, they did not and I cancelled my contract. I had to fight to get them to waive the cancellation fee, which they eventually did. DO NOT USE!!!!!

Without a doubt the worst service I have ever experienced.

Staff are rude, they constantly hang up and generally don't care about the appalling service. I had one guy start laughing before he hung up the call.

I have spent well over 10 hours trying to resolve an issue with their broadband (currently getting 0.06 download speed)

    Avoid Talk-talk at all costs!!!

We've had our phone with TalkTalk for some years and it's been OK, however, in July we upgraded to phone and broadband, it's now nearly October and still we wait! We get a "progress" report every few days which always ends with "we'll call you again with an update" Oh, and another thing, we can't receive phone calls anymore, I explain this but I may as well be speaking Esperanto for the good it does. "You'll go live on 14 September" they say, which year would that be I ask! We need a decorator now to repair the wall that's been damaged by my head banging. If only I'd known.... hindsight and all that!

I've switched to BT fibre as good offer now , as they are phone provider, there can be no doubt who is responsible

As a customer for many years, I can’t really express how poor the broadband reliability is and has been. It’s simply atrocious. I actually don’t think the problem is with Talk Talk. I believe it’s the phone line to the house. After changing routers three times and running through fault finding procedures at least four times, Talk Talk always tell me there is no problem. The speed regularly drops to sub 2Mb and drops out completely once an hour at the moment. It can recover temporarily but the problem always comes back. I remember the Outreach engineer, who was up a nearby telephone pole making repairs, telling me he was surprised we ever got any broadband service at all (due to the condition of the lines). So what should we do ? Talk Talk take no responsibility. Outreach says contact Talk Talk. What a great system we have created in the UK. Would changing service providers fix anything ? Now fibre is in the area. Time to upgrade. But not with Talk Talk.

Talktalk is absolute rubbish, worst provider i have been with. To start they were perfectly fine, but for the last year they have gone. Poor broadband speeds made me upgrade to fibre for the extra 10 pound.. 54mbps download, yes please! Sadly i went from 18/20mbps from normal to 4/8mbps on fibre. And that's the times it's working, most of the day the service is really bad with 1.0/1.2mbps speeds, im having to turn the router off and on to try boot the internet back up just to get it to do anything. When it comes to using your mobile data to go online because it's faster than your internet shows there is something wrong. Last couple of months they have been going down everyday, some days having no internet for a few days. Customer service is a joke also, i now refuse to phone. Past to different people on the phone, i seem to spent the first hour repeating the same problem to different workers, to the point im fed up of saying the same thing. I will be so glad when my contract is up, lets get some better internet for once.

So far i feel im wasting my money, i should of opened my window and thrown it out. Least then i could of seen where it went.

But don't worry employers of talktalk, sainsburys take on anybody so you wont be out of a job for long. Because the way talktalk is going, they'll be out of it soon
Anybody looking for a internet provider, stay clear of talktalk, because you will regret it.

( So far ive tried 4 times to sumit this post, but due to the fast speed of talktalk i just get a white page with an error, haha.. Service is to fast for the internet to catch up )

First when I bought talktalk it seemed ok but after a year of time with them it seemed like they were disconnecting us from the internet because they always kept saying are setting have been changed which obviously ment they were changing the setting. Then after several calls they told us they are going to send an engineer... when the engineer checked everything he said there is no fault so they made us pay £60 for the engineer and the was still appearing... DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING TALKTALK!!!!

Promise the earth, deliver little. I was supposed to get a new modem when I renewed my contract, several conversations later I am still waiting. The old one has packed up so no internet. Time to buy myself out of my contract. If you have any sense you will stay away.
It will cost me £210 to buy myself out of the contract but worth every penny. My son plays his Xbox online but the broadband drops regularly; it's not stable. He has ADHD and has wrecked his room due his frustration with the service.

In the last 12 months I have received dreadful broadband speed plus losing connection many many times. I have had numerous visits from talk talk and open reach and have been overcharged on three separate occasions. I have spent hours on the telephone trying to get a service that I was promised in their literature.

Talk talk what a load of rubbish . After being on the internet on chat to them for two hours to try and sort out why our phone would stop working after a couple of minutes and broadband . They said they would send a bright sparks engineer out to fix our problem but would cost £50 . On the chat they asked if the box inside the house has BT on it we replied yes . Ok we will send him out . The night before the appointment the bright sparks man phoned and asked if it was a BT box we replied yes again . When he arrived at my house the next day he looked at the box and said I carnt touch it it belongs to BT and went . After a big argument with talk talk I have now cancelled what a con . Going back to sky

Absolute disgrace. I have been with talk talk for 3 years on my home phone and broadband. applied 8 weeks ago for new broadband line in garage conversion we have - simple so one would think !!!!- your couldnt' be more wrong. The frustration, countless calls, and total incompetence of talktalk customer services beggars belief. Simple task which i informed them from the start of the order was that BT Openreach had to do a survey before they could even put a line in. Time after time after time, they totally ignored this with poor communication, lack of response and understanding. The sooner they move their call centre operation back on the UK shores the better - at least we have escalation process and standards that deals with this type of thing and i'm sure it would not have resulted in the pain and agony i went through. In the end after arguments for non-deliver and breach of their contract to me - i cancelled the same after threatening to take legally if i needed too and knowing all calls are recorded they admitted they had far from delivered anything but agony to me. They agreed in the end and now im off to place a brand new order with a UK based operation. At the end of my other Home contract - they will loose this custom too - so from what should have been an easy additional broadband line they have now lost my customer for good - i don't care how cheap they make their prices - their operation is a disgrace and for me Dido Harding couldn't run a few meters never mind a company - STAY CLEAR, STAY AWAY, AND KEEP YOURSELF SANE! - a true review from an honest ex-customer.

Broadband is so bad. Sometimes it randomly turns off and we have to wait for minutes to turn on again. Sometimes, like now, it is just crippingly slow. When I asked customer service they tried to help and said it was an issue on my end

Problem plagued internet connection, the same goes for +TV, worsened by cheap unreliable equipment. Outsourced incompetent low-grade customer service, who are only capable of escalating your issue to uk staff, who are even worse to deal with. AVOID.

As a long standing customer of Virgin I'm now being forced over to Talk Talk as Virgin exit the ADSL market.

I suspected that the move had taken place when the speed and bandwidth totally collapsed literally overnight. I now recall the horror of dial-up speeds! Using a speed checker reveals a download speed of <0.5MBS during evenings and weekends - I'm getting up at 6am to do larger downloads (e.g. update Firefox, not films). Both the speed checker and a call to Virgin confirmed that my migration onto the Talk Talk servers had occurred.

Suffice to say I'm off, no way is this speed acceptable especially when Virgin did so much better on the same infrastructure.

I have not called Talk Talk as at this stage the MAC can be provided by Virgin so I have no experience of the Talk Talk service experience but feedback from others doesn't bode well.
