    TalkTalk should be avoided at all costs! Do not use! Please.

    The service starts ok in terms of speed and reliability but if you want to change ANYTHING, your entire world will collapse around you. This NOT a joke.

    When I initially singed up, I got around 1MBps - not good but adequate and actually pretty good considering where we live.

    Over time, it degraded until I got only 0.1MBps or 0.2MBps on a good day. Their minimum guarantee was 0.8MBps.

    I called customer service -again and again and again. I lost count of the number of times I was told to reset the router and change the filter. I had 4 engineers visit, none of whom achieved anything whatsoever. I called customer services and my problem was 'elevated' to a solutions manager who promised to personally follow the whole resolution through until I was happy. Eventually, I had 4 such people 'helping' me and, of course, none of them achieved anything.

    I asked to be given the head office complaints contact details and had a long argument with the 'solutions manager' as to why he refused to give it to me.

    I informed that, since they had underperformed their guarantee massively for months, I was cancelling the contract and was not going to pay any penalties. They told me that they would sue me for all the outstanding monthly premiums. They said that they would only release me early was if I gave a further month to resolve the problem. I asked for the HO complaints contact and after asking for the manager's manager's manager (despite them promising me that they did not have any manager anywhere). I wrote to HO complaints and received an reply, eventually, saying my problem would be handed to a 'solutions manager' who would be responsible for resolving the problem to my satisfaction! (Ho! Ho!)

    The month elapsed after at least 4 more resets and tests and engineers.

    They then agreed to cancel the contract and then charged me for all the outstanding premiums.

    DO NOT EXPOSE YOURSELF TO THE RISK OF THIS HAPPENING TO YOU.

    If I could put no stars I would! Late with our 'Go Live' date, told us we were lying when they said our go live date was earlier. Telling us our internet and phone is working when it isn't. Tried speaking to Technical services and they told me to go through the wires myself to check the sockets. Tried to cancel and told it would cost £200 because our services were live when they weren't. Wasted 3 hours on the phone to them overall, waste of time.

    If I could put minus stars up I would. Completely disillusioned with TalkTalk. Was with them for over 3 years then moved house. 6 weeks in I've only just had my landline restored, Broadband, Internet and Tele are still not working (had nothing over Christmas which was horrid) and yet today they had the audacity to bill me for TV & Broadband. I have rung and emailed this company constantly for 6 weeks now and have still not had the issue resolved. What is even more frustrating is that I can't report them to the ombudsman until 8 weeks have passed. Shambolic company, non existant customer care don't go with these if you have any sense.

    Absolutely discusted yet again with the level of service with talk talk. My partner recently signed up for broadband at a deal for 2 years at 19.95 per month. He has then received an email stating after 18 months it would be 33.50? Has now spent 3 days being passed from pillar to post trying to get through different numbers and various emails with success. He finally managed today to speak to someone in South Africa today after asking to cancel the order. He has been charged for the call after being asked to stay on the line to listen to the t&c. As of yet he has not received any emails stating it has been cancelled.

    Talk talk r absolutely disgusting don't understand a word any of them say!!! Had no Internet for 10 days and not helpful at all I will defo be looking for another provider as they r a waste of time. Staff r terrible know nothing!!!

    worst company ever,if id i had read the reviews first then theres know way i wouldve went with them,i cancelled my contract on the 8th dec 2022,i told them to cancel my contract as from this date the offical date for the contract to end is the 20th dec,i was also one month in credit.since the 8th dec ive had emails phone calls txts asking me to stay offering me £20 to stay with them and get cheap broadband for £20 also,then today 12th dec i recieved an email saying thankyou for not cancelling youre contract and staying with us,how far will this company go? i spent 40min cancelling the contract on the 8th dec. how is the company allowed to continue with all the complaints from the public,trying to speak to someone in english is useless ask to speak to a manager no chance.this company needs to be shut down asap. if you think your getting a great deal because theyre think twice,read everyones reviews first i wish i had. before i cancelled my contract i was offered full fibre promised it woiuld be faster ect... so someone from open reach came to my property tried to install it he couldnt do it after 2 & half hours left my property saying its talk talk fault and walked out,mean while all the cable was left hanging outside left on the walk way for anyone to trip over,two days later 2 of the bosses from open reach came to my outside property saw the mess,next day i had two guys from openreach the whole job needed redoing thats how bad it was,so now ive got a hole through my property wall,and the joke is its still not so i called them that day i asked when it was going live 2hrs 20min i was on the phone for only to be told you dont have full fibre in your area that was it for me,that was all on the 6th dec & 7th dec,by the 8th i had enough the air was blue as hell.monkeys in a zoo couldve done talk talk job because clearly theyre absolutely useless,not got a clue what theyre doing none of them,so glad now ive got rid of them finally,avoid talk talk at all costs read others reviews dont just jump in because theyre cheap, seriously youll thank all the reviews in the end im lucky i was only with them 18months. talktalk couldnt run a kids picnic theyre that bad.

    WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER... WORST COMPANY EVER..

    Self-employed and home based..I have subscribed for the fibre and never had it since 1month now due to the fact that they never access the situation before selling you services. Lost 2 valuable client and 10K.
    Disrupt all my work flow and scheduled..had to drive 15miles with a baby in a car to share fibre of a friend.. Last but not the least I was hacked by scammer using talktalk pitch to approach me. they Had all my personal details in advance which I believe was leak internally by talktalk.. Had me to download a saoftware called "teamviewer" which allow them to access your device remotely..
    Talktalk customer service basically told me it was my fault as I allowed scammer to invade my privacy because they have put advert everywhere to inform their client..NO empathy, no concern about client and mainly giving you false informations especially when it comes to technical appointment.

    I am definatily not finish with them yet eventhough I'm switching to another provider right away..

    OOh the best part they asked me to pay cancelation fees for a services they have never provided to me..REally!?

    TALKTALK DON'T TRUST THEM!!!

    This cheating and useless company doesn't deserve even a star at all. Their customer service is totally bad, very very DREADFUL and I highly suspects that their telephone recipients don't know how to communicate in English. I have said I want to speak ONLY to the cancellation department and then they still transfer my call around 3 to 4 person and I have to repeat my personal details to each one of them. What makes me most angry and unbelievable is my account isn't cancelled in the end. This wastes my time around 1 hour each time and most importantly my phone charge escalates sharply because of their unbearable acts. After a long time of several months, I finally found a recipient which is "civilized" who said that my contract is "successfully" cancelled. I repeatedly asked whether my contract is totally cancelled and he said "YES" in a very rude manner, which seems like he wanted to go for a poo. However, next month the bill still comes with the as usual monthly charges, I am lazy and feeling helpless to call them to cancel my contract already.
    HIGHLY RECOMMEND every one to STAY AWAY from this cowboy company. DONT EVEN TOUCH TALKTALK. All their people don't know how to talk. You will regret forever!!!

If you sign up to talktalk good look!!! worst customer service in the world, cut off your service if you go 1 day overdue and then take upto a 3 days to restore service. Even the prices are terrible! Worst company I have ever had to deal with.

    Difficult to speak to anyone. I had e.mail to say my provider had been changed from another company to Talk Talk which I had not requested, sent router which I sent back immediately after receiving it. Then I lost phone and broadband for almost a month. I have had £31.98 taken from my account and I did not authorise a direct debit I did not wish to change my provider and I am never likely to go to Talk Talk in the future after this appaling service I can agree with everything that has been said about the Company I would like this sorted out otherwise I shall be taking it further.

    If I read before the review I never make contract whit this company ! Be careful everybody !
    They offer me 6 months half price and the charge 2 months full price !! And when I made a complain they a second months give me 10£ credit from 33.20£. When the contract 15.10£. ! Don't belive nobody !!

    Terrible inefficient and all agents give a different story. Do they actually make notes in their computers when we call.?
    I have phoned 9 different agents and still cannot get on my internet or landline.
    I am so disgusted by this service I am now putting in a complaint to the managing director if one exists and if no joy then to the ombudsman.
    I am looking to go with a different provider after I receive compensation from TalkTalk

    Leaving TT this coming week.
    After suffering for years with slow speeds and constant dropouts, final straw came last week, when I almost fell victim to a scam. A scam made plausible by TT.
    The scammer was very well versed in TT practices and came across as genuine. I've had numerous calls from and to TT over the years and was completely drawn in at first. However, as the call went on I became increasingly more suspicious and finally called an end to it but not before the scammer had messed up my computer and taken £100 from a debit card (later covered by my bank).
    Yes I should have known better than to have agreed to some of the requests made by the scammer and with hindsight the alarms should have been ringing earlier but TTs bad service, foreign call centres and security breaches made this scam a whole lot more effective. What was TTs reaction to this when I called them after? They tried to sell me an upgrade.
    I wouldn't recommend TT to anyone looking for a BB service. The product is poor, their customer service is poor, they cannot be trusted and more than anything they will leave you vulnerable.
    DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I CANT EVEN AWARD THEM 1 STAR IN ANY CATAGORY.

    They don't even deserve 1 starTalk talk are a disgrace you may save a couple of pennies initially but they are crooks and will try to rob you every opportunity they get they will spring unexpected costs on you charges that your not liable to pay they will then threaten to muddy you credit profile... The worst customer service ever rude robots who have no clue if you want to sort out an issue no1 listens and ppl are always passing the buck without dealing with issues... I just want talk talk to know I am not liable to pay an engineer call out charge if the engineer came in to my property but didn't do his job... If you want to resolve this through the courts go ahead but I think it's pathetic that you are giving me such undue distress... NEW customers RUN... old customers keep an eye out for sky or Virginia deals been with both and they are sooooooooooooo professional understanding and helpful....

    Have been with talk talk for few year
    They started out not brill but just ok about 6 months ago after putting price up d/load speed dropped from approx 2mbs to 0.6mbs i would ring they zapped the line improvement for few days then back to around 0.6mbs . Coming to end of contract tried to cancel, on phone for over an hour being passed from one person to another .had great difficulty understanding these people their english was very poor .cannot give them any rating what so ever worst customer service i have ever dealt with

    Don't be caught out bu their Love to shop voucher scam! Even after being PROMISED BY A MANAGER that I would get my voucher - NOTHING... HALFWAY INTO MY CONTRACT ALREADY....

    Dont even think your Internet will be slow - it is non-existent quite regularly, slow at best.

    Unreliable service and they still have the cheek to take money from you, also charge you a £224 cancellation fee for a service they promised but couldn't provide. They broke the broadband contract, not me! I'm am absolutely discusted with talk talk. Many calls, emails and still no service. They are nothing but thief's.

    How TalkTalk can call themselves a provider of internet and broadband beats me, i have constantly had trouble with them and over the past couple of months it's gone from very bad to completly almost non-existant.

    Many phone calls, many letters, promises of "Will call you back" which they never do so is nothing short of a lie

    TalkTalk has so called experts who even struggle to speak English about an English operating system.

    I have proved without a doubt that I have a problem with my internet connection, only to be told I don't have a problem, and almost to the point I and some others have tracked it down to a faulty router, but no TalkTalk are not allowed to send out new routers now...
    Thats what the TalkTalk expert told me, but it's okay for me to keep sending them money every month for nothing.

    Wouldn't we all like this type of business?

    If by any chance you do want an internet provider that will without fail......

    GIVE YOU MONTHS AND MONTHS OF GRIEF....MESS WITH YOUR HEAD .... TELL YOU NOTHING IS WRONG....TAKE MONEY UNDER FALSE PRETENCE'S....KEEP DROPPING THE LINE....TELL YOU THEY WILL PHONE BACK BUT NEVER DO....Then i can recommend the most rubbish / crapiest / useless / swindling internet company going...
    TALKTALK...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....

    Absolutely rubbish, I have been with talktalk for a month and yet to have any service from them, yet they still charge, the customer service is shocking upto 1 hour on the phone then no conclusion. They are a horrible company and have no respect for the fact you need the service for your business. I’m currently seeking legal advice as they want to charge me for cancellation yet they have not provided any product.

    How do you cancel your phone when person is 93 in a nursing home and they says can't do anything unless they speak to that person. When you try to phone from any other phone they will not put you through says something about talk talk. I have now had a,letter from Hendrickson for a bill I can pay the bill but can't discuss the account as,I have said the person is 93 in a nursing home,and can't deal with the account.I have only heard bad accounts about talk talk no good reports.

    I was happy enough with the person I spoke to on the phone. Its TalkTalk I am not happy with. I agreed a deal on the phone last time round which the person on the phone assured me was fixed. I even have a recording of that. Then guess what months into the contract TalkTalk put the price up, no choice at the time. So the person on the telephone who is trying to make verbal deals has no authority to do that. No point talking to them, is there ? So now my contract is up I have exercised my right and finally after some 11 years i have left. I have had enough run ins with this company so through thick and thin they have finally convinced me to leave. So all I can say is 'Well done' to their sales prevention department. Sticky buns all round. I have arranged for Plusnet to give their sales director a lesson in selling

    Pretty muxh what everyone said. Changed engineer date without warning. Internet dropping every 10 minutes. Asked to cancel within 14 days but as i placed initial order before the go live date, im.being charged 137£ to cancel. What a joke

    Internet has been intermittent for days probably due to a very unstable telephone box on the outside of the house. Even my telephone line is unclear. Been asked to switch off and on numerous times. Plugged in a new router, completed fourth line check to no avail. All I want is an engineer to fix the box yet I go round in circles. Leaving for another provider.

    Absolutely abhorrent service in every way. Customer service broadband speed etc. I wouldn't be able to fit all the problems I've had over the past few weeks into this review as it could be printed out as a door stopper. The company is absolutely disgusting, they've lied to me, they've tried to make me pay for things I didn't order, told me I had to pay for an investigation into wifi problems later, false advertising and rude staff - every single one. If the problems don't get sorted soon we will be taking legal action.

    Update on previous review. Broadband completely failed now and they can't get an engineer to me for 12 days so have told them I will cancel direct debit and walk away and they can pursue me thru the courts. No ratings at all as complete package and customer service is absolutely useless. Totally horrendous experience. Would advise anyone against signing up with them.

    I have had a number of problems with talktalk over the last 18 months and have now moved provider.
    I would never ever go back. If you are thinking about using or going to talktalk due to the cost DO NOT.
    First I had the talktalk TV.
    You cannot record any sky channels which I was told would be sorted in a few month/near future. I was still waiting 18 months on.
    The talktalk did not work and kept freezing. When I spoke to talktalk after explaining the problem a number of times was told to put a paper over the front due to interference from my other equipment.
    I have all Samsung equipment and this did surprise me.
    That was all they offered and basically told me it was my fault and tuff.
    I soon cancelled my TV package.
    I left on the 23/9/14.
    I received a bill to pay for service from 25/9/14 to 25/10/14.
    I rang and explained I was not going to pay them for a service I had not had as I had cancelled it. I have also cancelled my direct debit.
    I was on the phone for over 30 minutes and was told by the first phone operator that I had to pay and then a month later they would refund the money.
    To say I was shocked is an understatement.
    I again told them I would not be paying and I had cancelled my direct debit. I was then told they would charge me £10 for not paying.
    I was, I am sure you understand, not happy after being put through to another operator was again told I should pay the bill for a service I had not had!!!!!!!
    I then explained I was not paying for a service I had not had and it was as far as I am aware illegal.
    The operator stated it was not his fault it was the system. (Computer says no)
    After spending over 30 minutes on the phone they in the end agreed to waver the £10 for not paying them money I do not own them. (So nice of them)
    And they would then generate a final bill in a month.
    This was the final straw I am glad I have left and recommend strongly to anyone and everyone never ever use talktalk!!!!!!!

    This is the worse company there could ever be i asked them to disconnect me 2 month in and they didn't I was also on restricted use and they are now trying to charge me 700 pound yes you read rite when I spoke to them they said I would have to pay for it even tho I have not had services from them since August and that they want to charge me for broadband that was unusable and when I explained to them that they can not change you for some thing that can not be used they said yes we can I asked them to pass me to some one higher as I could not understand him he said yes I will and low and believe he calls me back saying he has spoke to some one but I still have to pay so yet again I have asked to speak to the ceo so let's see if I get any joy so please if any one is thinking of going with this money grabbing robbing company don't cos all you going to do is get ripped off

    When it takes over three months to have a broadband in a house,then you know the company is not what it seems, I had to get in touch with CEO herself to get things done, and the biggest problem with Talk Talk, is that none of the outreach staff understand or speak to each other , hence no communication and frustration to the customer, it need for the call centre to be brought back to the UK and the software system need to improve,

    The worst network in the whole wide world! They have no respect for their customers. They have bad communication skills and can never sort out a problem. They charged me for a service which they never provided. They took money from my account for a service that went live for only 24 hours. They then cancelled my order and asked me to reapply for it!     The real nightmare with TalkTalk begins when you try to leave. A month before my contract expired I used chat to cancel the contract and was assured this would be done. I kept a copy of the chat transcript. When nothing happened I rang them and went through to their call centre in the Philippines. They denied both that the chat had taken place and that I had cancelled my contract. After being hung up on twice I was told I could not cancel my contract and would have to keep on paying, this by people who have a very basic understanding of the English language, and apparently cannot understand it at all. In despair I contacted the Chief EXecutive Tristia Harrison (I wonder what she does all day for her millions) who then got someone from her office to contact me, who assured me verbally and by email that my contract and services would expire on the correct date, my DD would be cancelled and I would not be charged for the final month. Lo and behold, the end of the month has come around, my DD has not been cancelled and I have been billed £30 odd pounds for next month even though I am out of contract and my contract has supposedly been cancelled!! If there was proper oversight by the authorities in this country this company would not be allowed to trade. They are basically a bad PR company piggybacking on the back of BT. Charlatans and frauds.
