    TalkTalk webmail and landline services are the worst services i have ever had to deal with.My talktalk webmail is really slow and very regularly doesnt work at all and when talktalk supplied my telephone services charged me for a mobile phone service i have never had with them.Avoid at all costs.

    Just like to say how I feel about my talktalk internet and phone
    i implove even beg if anyone is disabled and need a reliable internet connection and phone
    do not I repeat do not use or even look at tt it is hideous I have been with tt just under two and a halve years it has been the worst service I have ever dealt with in my life
    keep losing both services terrible
    i have to use 999 or emergeny services regualr with me disability problems and by god the times I have been in trouble because of losing phone line is unpresidented in my life
    the suffering and anxiety because of tt
    and if you call them its f u pay
    everything wheather you have service or not its f u pay takes days to get any help
    i beg anyone not just the disabled do not touch these people at all
    and be very carefull with tt mobile my god
    this company should be stopped
    review all isp online before you make any sort of deal and talk to them and knock them down in price the time will be worth it
    just please I implore great britain do not not deal with talktalk any way shape or form

    So disappointed and frustrated with the appalling level of service, poor communication, and slow broadband speeds. I have wasted so much time and money trying to get things resolved without success. Please don't choose Talktalk, choose better!

    I would leave zero stars for customer service if I could. Trying to find someone to talk to to fix a connection that never went live is near impossible. Website is structured to keep you going round in circles without being able to contact customer service. Online chat doesnt work on phone or a PC. Every support page you try to gain information from has a broken link. I will never use talktalk again even if half the price of others. TV package is awful due to equipment and menu system, its very slow and hard work. We ended up putting the TV box back in the box after a month or so.

    Simply the worst broadband provided I have ever dealt with and to be honest they do not deserve 1 star. After a week of requesting a router be sent as my had given up, I was told that I would have to sign up to a new contract in order for me to get one. TalkTalks customer services is literally that bad that they know once you have dealing with them you'll cancel they services so the try to strong arm you into a new contact to say the connection.

    The company is shocking and a joke.

    Worst broadband supplier I came across, avoid at all cost.
    Customer service is not existant.
    Still have problems to cancel with them, even that is not easy.
    Don't get into cheap, but very deep trap.
    This is a genuine review, don't even think of falling to that....
    Please avoid, go somewhere else

    Potential customers be aware of joining TalkTalk; It is near impossible to get away from them. Even when they agree zero penalties they will immediately bill for full termination cost. You can spend endless hours talking to foreign customer Centers’s in my case at least two different countries). But never the same person or any way of picking up the thread from one agent to another. Keeping transcript of conversation are also useless as they only record selected parts on their side. There is no way of comparing these conversation record as they will not forward you their copy and will not accept your copy (TalkTalk has no email address). TalkTalk Customer Service Manager eventually offered to reduce the termination charges by half. Naturally I refused this offer.. If you are within the 20 cooling off period or the 30 day Customer Service Guarantee offered to new fiber Customers, they will still bill you. I have been with them for two weeks most of the time talking to people in these call Center with nothing resolved. Looks Kline taking another 8 weeks before we get arbitration involved and maybe even longer to get back any money owed to me. Be aware TalkTalk are seriously bad for your health.

    Worst company I have ever had to deal with... If I could put less than 1 star I would.

    Steer well clear of them, I have only been with them 4 months and asked them to send me a bill for both mobile phone and internet to get me out of the contract with them.

    Issues with them cutting off my internet service, when the bill was paid.

    taking out DD in the middle of the month incurring in addtional charges and refuse to amend DD date.

    Cut off my talk plan after spending £22 on a 0845, as these where not inculded in my bill so suspended my free mins/texts.

    and the customer service is appealing. I was warned off them amnd i should of listened!!

    Zero is the service and the score. Obviously run from overseas using contracted BT engineers to install. A week after instalation I received emails and incoherent voicemails telling me there was a problem with my line - there wasn't. Then they cut the line and sent me an email saying they'd received a cancellation request from another provider - they hadn't. When I rang I spent 20 mons being transferred around overseas call centres to be told eventually that it would take 14 days to reconnect me - my advice - avoid!

    Talktalk is a complete disaster in every way possible.

    1. The broadband seldom works at capacity, when it is working you can expect to have web pages not displayed owing to their web filtering software which even when off creates page load times circa 1980s dial up.

    2. Customer services - From extensive knowledge of dealing with customer services from weekly calls you will be lucky to speak to someone who speaks more than broken english if more than a few grunts. You will be exceptionally lucky if your not cut off at the first time of the call being difficult to handle e.g its not on the list they have in front of them. I broke my previous record when trying to cancel the service being cut off a staggering 8 times during the process, and they definitely won't call back so don't hold your breath.

    3. If your fortunate and manage to get the service cancelled without paying the remainder of the contract which they are all to happy to throw back in your face and demand a complete payment for despite it not working you will be then presented with the issue they will just not perform the cancellation and continue billing it !

    Talktalk is a complete shambles from technical side, customer service side and even customer loyalty and cancellations cant seem to do the most sensible thing and just cancel the bad service.

    Thoroughly looking forward to Ombudsman looking into our case in due course.

    Spent hours on the phone to customer services who have not resolved my problems of slow speeds 0.2Mbps (unbearable). I have tried to be patient and work with them but everytime I call I get different advise and it seems that none of them seem to know what they are talking about and they are difficult to understand too.

    The customer service is dreadful.
    I have been charged £65 for an engineer who spent only 3min in the house.
    After speaking to the customer service I was told that the £65 charge can't be cancelled or decreased. After 20 min on the phone I asked to cancel my contract since I was allowed to change my mind after 14 days of signing the contract but even for this I was told I have to pay circa £160.
    WTF!!!
    DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE TO SIGNE WITH TALK TALK. THEY ARE DREADFUL.

    It’s cheap but not worth the troubles. The customer service is the main problem it was so bad that we canceled using the. Company. Over 6 hrs on the phone trying to resolve issue. Very unprofessional the staff who are superficially polite but never resolve the issues simple , everything turns into fiascos, waisting so much valuable time .

    Wouldn’t recommend. I have contacted them for disabling my land line, they have restricted my broadband as well. I had to call them several times to get my broadband connection back. Finally they have enabled my landline as well without my consent. You are not served for what we ask. Customer service is too bad.

    Absolute terrible customer service, bad broadband. Every bad name under the sun can be used to describe Talk Talk. If there was an option to give 0 stars then I would. Call them and when I get to number 1, they disconnect the call & are showing attitude and disrespect to the customers. Horrible service.

    Moved to talk talk from sky. Worse mistake I ever made constant line drops every bit of hardware connected to it could not stream etc. Fell outside 20 day cooling off period. Customer service advised could leave due to issues. Then got a bill for early breakage. Said need to give us 28 days to remedy said would start from when first lodged complaint so only 11 days left. Contacted sky to arrange for change over then got bill from talk talk for 357 due to early breakage. Then called talk talk and they then said 28 days was from yesterday when they escalated the complaint. Advised sales of good and consumer act and drafted letter to ombudsman. In the end they waived the 357 and I paid the remainder until sky returned. Will never use anyone other than sky and BT.

    Let me tell you about my experience with Talktalk: I work as a doctor and part of my job is done remotely, surely fibre connection of relatively good speed is necessary for me. I recently moved to a new building of 2 floors and approx,10 apartments within M25 area. The address I declared in the conversation was in format: Flat X, 1 Y, Z postcode. It was possibly recorded by talktalk as Flat X, 1Z - such an apartment doesn't exist, the building does and is 5 min walk from mine, mine has a separate name and flat numbers, unlike any others. Overall what I mean it is difficult to confuse the buildings.
    I am certain I recorded the address correctly - I got my eero device from Talktalk via Yodel company.
    So when I spoke in the middle of August to the representative, I was told my internet will be ready for me to use it on 31 August the latest, but possibly sooner.I was told in the initial agreement when direct debit was set up that the engineer will come to my building. I was aware and made talktalk aware there is already their Box in the building -one of the neighbours uses their services. I had no confirmation of such a visit from an engineer and on 31 August I was told my internet is operational. I called talktalk helpline and spent 3 hrs trying to locate devices they told me about in the building, I was assured engineers would come until the end of the day (never happened and they have not been booked). Eventually, it was discovered the box was installed in a completely different building (not even a neighbour).I was put to the complaints department, where I was told I would have call from the manager on 5 September. That didn't happen. I used chat again and was notified that I would get call from the manager on 7 September. That didn't happen. When I contacted them again the same unhelpful agent started to lie/gaslight me that no such thing was declared to me and that I didn't understand what they said. In response, I presented screenshots I have been keeping of every exchange I had with them, in the end he refused to provide date of a managerial call. Meantime I have no access to the internet, I can't work in public places due to confidentiality issues and I don't have the ability to secure separate quiet clinic area outside my regular hours. So overall I lose remuneration, patients lose care and talktalk stays happy not providing internet and invoicing me.The whole situation is extremely stressful and as I already work under huge pressure, have to deal and spend hours (overall approx 7) trying to convince someone to take a simple action. I was told managers won't speak to me as they are not front desk workers. I was told that I can't make more than one complaint when I wanted to complain about how my complaint was being handled (I was misled twice and was in expectation of managerial call as declared by their staff). I obviously have screenshots of conversations I had with them proving what I say. If the national healthcare system worked like talktalk in my case, you would get a stranger's surgery and and a shaman for consolation. update 1: on 08/09/23 I got a mail asking me to assess how a call from TalkTalk went, This call never happened, there have been no unanswered calls and no voicemail. After that email I feel inspired to post this story whenever I can.

    Update 2: representatives from this site writing PM me for assistance: obviously I PMed them, gave my complaint number, on 11/09/2023 was told that there will be a call on 12/09/2023 between 4-6PM. Obviously nothing happened. This was 4th time I was misled about a call and x-th time somebody in the company declared something that didn't happen
    Update 3. It is now 12/09/2023 I have now been charged 40GBP for nothing, as no service was provided whatsoever, what am I paying for ??? I tried to contest the payment, only to learn that it can only happen to debited accounts. The automatic payment was set up upon joining talktalk. I feel my customers rights have been abused left and right. I am now willing to share my story with everyone who will listen!

    I switch BT to Talk Talk becouse thier adverttise speed was good and price was only £34 per month but now my broadband speed is much less than they advertise and price also gone up within the four months so I am going to end this contract

    Attention!!
    Talk talk it's fraud company, grab money for really bad connection. Guaranteed is 35 mb but in the test have only 10 mb. If you try contact with service, you never get answer. Engineer should be come in 2-3 days but this is never happen. For my Scammers! Better switch for different broadband company.

    Absolutely horrible Internet from this company. Max download speed is around 500kb/s which is terrible and the router disconnects and can't seem to handle more than 1 device being connected at once. Web pages load up incredibly slowly, can't watch Netflix or YouTube and even social media apps on my phone don't load up when I'm connected to the WiFi. Horrible company.

    I feel very sad to give 1 star, if there is less then talktalk deserve it, I had fiber, yes talktalk said fiber is the best but that's totally wrong, the same bad and slow download, minimum I should reboot the router 5 time each day and at 12-4-8-12 always internet stoped for short time, offcours when you call the customer service and if you had luck to find sombody to talk with, the answer is (the mistake not from us) so stupid answers becouse I similar talktalk with someone live in the same apartments and he had no problems, the only solution is to wait till the contact finish and no way to return to this company, very very very bad

    I upgraded to the fibre package a while ago which proved to be no faster at all and keeps dipping in and out and at times freezing. Engineer checked and said no fault, I asked for a new router and they put me in a new contract, I told them to cancel and they said they want £90 exit fee. Never again. It takes hours to get through and the.online chat disconnect you once you tell them to cancel. Lesson learned to only ever sign a 12 month contract in future. A sign they have been taken over by private equity so I say no more. One time they were good but no more.

    Terrible company over all. So it was a 30 day wait u til I had an engineer come to install the connection, he damaged my wall trying to replace my old door bell as he thought that was where the connection would be (wtf) then the Wi-Fi came and it didn't work so I called them up and spoke to a woman in Pakistan (surprise suprise) they replaced it and I waited 7 days for the new one to arrive only for that one not to work either so I again called them up and said that I wanted to cancel the contract but unless I paid 300 quid plus to get out I couldn't. I haven't just got 300 quid lying around for this crap! So the 3rd wifi box arrived as I had no choice (3rd time lucky) this one actually worked but the signal didn't even reach upstairs so I called them again and they said I'd have to buy an adapter from then at another 50 quid (I don't think so) any way I got one from argos at half the price just so I could watch Netflix in the bloody bedroom. I've been with them now for about 18 months of my 2 year contract and I can't honestly wait for it to be over as I'm basically paying for something that doesn't work even with the adapter thing I got the internet is so slow it's frustrating, constantly disconnecting and reconnecting and buffering. It's basically aload of s**t don't bother!waste of time money and effort. Feels great to get that off my chest!

    I don’t even know where to start. I am very annoyed with this company. I had call them to cancel the network not only did it go up after I had it the internet just got worse. From paying £19 to £31 and nothing comes out of it. I had to call them to cancel and the worst is to be told they will cancel after a month that means they are going to take money and for crap service. Ever hit me I have to switch the internet I don’t know how many times a day just to refresh the damn thing. The worst network ever I am moving back to sky I don’t know why I left them I will gladly pay £40 for best network. Regardless sky is even offering cheaper. My neighbor who lives 2 door away uses sky and it actually works in my own houses and I wonder why I am paying this talktalj

    i have tried and i have been patient, but enough is enough.

    3 year i have been with them.
    started well, then issues of strength in internet line, spending hours on phone to them with no real improvement.
    always saying you area as fibre, if you took it it would be better.... after many times of trying to get it to work, i took fibre optic!! it shows as improved but is it??? not really, when it works it works however its the keep cutting off I'm annoyed with!!!! yes it keeps cutting and loosing connection....

    recently i got the courage to call them again and after an hour long discussion they agreed to send an engineer, he showed up dome days later, tell me their is a fault on the line, apparently fixes it and disappears, 2 month late they charge me £60 plus for the vast. so i call them, they say they will look into it and call me back. .... 2 days later no news, which suspects up TalkTalk!!!!

    i asked the engender how fibre works, the question was how do you connect fibre to the house with out installing fibre cable to the house? apparently fiber goes to the main board nd then its the old coper ADSL cable from the main exchange box to your home... how does that work? also that how the need the phone line with it.. only virging uses its own fibre so perhaps when its time, i will switch to another provider....

    its all a lots of non sense and talk talk are probably the worse of all of them... PS: they charge without notifying me that they would!!!!!

    While I couldn’t give a solid review on their actual internet speeds and reliability, I have a very good reason for that, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP.

    I paid for their fibre broadband and tv (including installation) and all I got was a letter 2 months later saying that they’d moved the time the engineer was going to arrive to install it. I ended paying for a good few months of nothing but paper and broken promises. Honestly, this company is a joke.

    I’ve never complained in my life. BUT I’m utterly shocked at this “service” been with talk talk for 6 weeks. Not had a single day of internet. I’ve had 2 engineers out who left not fixing the problem. I have been on the phone to them for literally 8.5 hours repeating the exact problem to different agents. I’ve been assigned a “dedicated agent to fix the issue” told to wait another 72 hours... call them back and they closed my case saying it’s fixed. Mean while they are still taking my money and haven’t refunded me or fixed the issue.

    Fibre service worked for 4 days and then was down for 2 weeks. Repeatedly called India around 6 times and each time there was no record of any previous calls or faults registered on the line. Each time I was told I would be called back within 48 hours - never happened.

    On one occasion after repeatedly demanding to speak to someone in technical support I was transferred to a friendly guy (also in India), but after 10 minutes of talking to him about my fault he declared he was from the accounts department and couldn't help. I believe I was just fobbed off to a random extension on this occasion.

    On another occasion after repeatedly refusing to accept that I would get a call back, and after a muted discussion with a co-worker, I was told a network engineer was currently looking into the problem. This was a problem that they had said earlier in the call that there was no record of. Fob off for sure but I expected nothing more by this time.

    There was on one occasional talk of me paying in the region of £150 for an engineer to visit to check the original installation 4 days after installation. This would be refundable if it turned out not to be my fault.

    I abandoned the idea of ever getting the TalkTalk Helldesk to do anything about the fault so instead went to their official forums to post updates on all the lies and promises I had gotten verbatim. The issue very quickly got escalated to what's known as the "CEO's office" and I was given a personal handler to see out the rest of the complaint. This is the stage when somebody did something and the next day, an engineer came out and fixed the problem. That was thankfully the end of the technical problems.

    [The fault was eventually diagnosed to be that a BT OpenReach engineer pulled my cable out of the port in the street cabinet during another customers installation. Funny how every TalkTalk line test showed my line to be working perfectly even though I wasn't plugged into the exchange and my router was lit up red for DSL connectivity]

    On the billing side, they failed to notify my old supplier (BT) that they were taking over my phone line so I ended up paying line rental to both companies on the same line for months. Neither company would refund anything.

    In addition to all of this, the £120 of vouchers that were part of the offer never came and when I asked for them they denied there was ever any such thing.

    On a good note, there has only been a couple of hours of downtime in 3 years and as a heavy internet user I have always found the speed good.

    What can I say- rubbish reliability and slow speed. My connection drops out many times a day (sometimes half a dozen times an hour). Customer service is utterly useless, staffed by rude people with poor spoken English skills and very hard to understand. I will be moving back to BT as soon as my contract finishes. It's true that you get what you pay for...... Talk Talk had a poor reputation from the start and after a brief period of improved service, it's been getting steadily worse again. Several of my neighbours have the same issue with dropping connection and poor speed and have also got nowhere fast with customer services. AVOID!!!

    worst service provider ever!, almost without fail every 2 weeks we will loose broadband for a whole day or 2, and when we contact them they behave as though it is a problem on our side,I wish now that I had never swithed!, I tell everyone not to use them

    NO stars for anything. Appalling customer service Nobody spoke or indeed understood reasonable English.Problem solving was non exsistent.When my contract ends I will be out of there before you can blink.I don't know how they survive.PLEASE don't go there
