Worst internet ever. Stuck with them for 6 years before finally switching (it's like Stockholm's Syndrome). The broadband drops out regularly, at least once a month. When it does lose connection, it takes hours (sometimes up to three days) to work again.

They provide you with no updates regarding how long it will take to fix. Their website has a section for checking your broadband status but it sends you in circles (usually ending with a page telling you that the connection is fine!)

"Self heal" does sometimes work, but very rarely. The self heal is also full of patronising, unnecessary steps (I don't need to check the ethernet cables, just fix my effing connection!)

Here's hoping BT will be better

Very poor, previous broadband provider was really good an I wish I had stayed with them. Skys router is poor, we now have blackspots all over the house and Sky just want to charge me more to overcome this. Previous router from other supplier worked fine so obviously Skys equipment is poor. Nothing they can do apart from charge me more! Useless.

    BAD EXPERIENCE!
I have learned that sky is the limit of stupidity.
I ordered from them the broadband and sky talk package and after I received a letter of confirmation they didn't come to install anything. After 2 weeks when they were supposed to install the phone line and broadband, they are saying that my order was canceled because of "incorrect address". I wrote to them and they just continue to say that my address is incorrect and I have to make another order. We have exchanged 5 emails where I explain that my address is correct because I also received a letter from them so they have my correct address. The final answer was "there is nothing wrong with your address. However, I have also noticed that you have not attached the first line of your address while ordering the services. Hence, you order wasn't successful." Just stay away from them because they really lack any form of logical thinking, professionalism, and honestity.

i have been told by my broadband provider that due to the distance i am from the cabinet my fibre speeds are capped at 22 mbs- so by the time it reaches me it drops to between 9 and 13 mbs. i am paying for fibre broadband and i have been told that due to the quality of my telephone line i cannot get faster speeds. is this the fault of BT as they own the lines or is this sky who are telling me they cannot get it any quicker. or is it the quality of their HUB. sky customer service is very good, but not sure if truthful when it comes to speeds.

I had been with sky many years and left 2015, joined sky broadband and now leaving, they charged me £8 for leaving 1 day before contract end date. Now sorted with Michael who works from home. Top bloke removed charges.

SKY Broadband has been a disaster for me. These people failed to collect a direct debit (the account hadn't changed. They then charged me double. I changed provider but they still steal money from my account. They NEVER reply to my recorded delivery letters or my emails. They are DREADFUL!!!!!!

I'm meant to be getting 70 mbps and i've been getting 2 - 10 mbps. I've called them up and they say everything is fine, I can't do anything on the internet because it's so slow!! Also due to an admin error which they won;t admit to, they changed my phone number which I had for almost 40 years and they said I had to pay to get it back..

Sky Broadband I can honestly say (and as any unfortunate Sky Broadband customer will tell you) is abysmal. The actual download rates one gets with their 'Mickey Mouse' broadband is often 6.2 Mbps or less and much less than their so called advertised rate of 16-17 Mbps for their '(Un)Broadband Unlimited' package. I am probably now going to leave Sky Broadband and their excuse for a broadband service because I have had enough of the lies about non-existent actual download rates that you will never ever get in a million years with Sly....sorry..Sky!

Sky was great when we had an expensive package but we wanted to remove the TV package from our deal (when it expired) and 2 weeks later they turned off our WiFi! They said it got turned off when removing the TV package and this is rubbish as it has been 2 weeks since the TV package worked. Been told I had to wait 1 week til Internet could be reinstated for me (I have sky Q) because they had to set me up again and I had to wait til then with no Internet and no effort to retain me as a customer. Not good enough considering it's apparently their error and they aren't fixing it. Cancelled and moving!!

Consistently awful service. Ridiculously low speeds and dropped connections. Getting through to complaints takes an hour of waiting followed by an interrogation; a fix lasts a day. Attempting to cancel turned into another nightmare -- prevarication, obfuscation, being transferred to different people each of who begins the process from scratch, the strategy is to weary the customer out till they give up. Shocking.

too many times my new fibre connection has let me down. Living in a house with 3 gamers might not help but for the superfast fibre broadband to only give me just over 3mb of download speeds is pretty poor in my opinion. think its time to switch Virgin!

Our sky broadband via an Open Reach connection is not worth having and its reliability is very poor. We have been advised for the last 2 years that infinity would be available to our address. Sky or BT will not give us even a future date for when it will be available.

Terrible service since Sky fibre installation. Sky cannot resolve and recommended we cancel and go elsewhere. We did and now Sky TV service does not work effectively with another supplier. After 30 calls plus and 6 engineer visits they are struggling to resolve and acknowledge it’s a known problem. Pretty much been told to go somewhere else for our tv service. At a loss in what to do.

Our internet was recently updated so we would receive a new hub and all. Apparently our internet had to be turned off prior to this happening. We havent receive the hub and the internet has been down for 3 weeks now. For about 2 weeks the mobile data Tim the house wasn't working either so huge inconvenience considering I work from home.

For the 2 weeks I have had to pay extra money for my mobile data plan just to work.

NO HUB received yet. We were told the internet would be reinstated today. That hasn't happened yet.

We are long standing sky customers so I’m struggling to understand why it is okay to treat us like this. The only thing we have received is the Sky puck which is useless with no internet connection.

HONESLTY POOR POOR EXPERIENCE OVERALL. I’M IN DISBELIEF

Huge difficulties setting up account as I had previously had a Sky account a few years ago at a different property, and they could not create a new account (or link to my old one), with my current contact details. Unfortunately all of the individuals who tried to help with this seemed incompetent at this, as it was not on their script of answers to read off to customers.

When moving property, expensive cancellation fees (around 3 months value of current Broadband and telephone subscription!). I would strongly recommend another provider in future.

Worst service I’ve had ever. I was a sole trader and changed to a limited trader recently. I had a contract with Sky and called them to change the contract according to my new status, as the company as it was prior to the change would no longer exist. The CS staff member informed me that my contract would therefore have to be cancelled and an early termination fee charged to myself. I explained I did not wish to end the contract and wanted to stay with sky. He was
Having none of it and kept insisting I pay the fee. He was rude throughout and I believe even racist as he seemed to be talking down to myself. My husband then took over the call and the CS staff member spoke to him like dirt. He refused to talk at first and after I gave permission for him to speak on my behalf the CS agent instantly spoke down to my husband, not being interested in what he had to say. He even said he didn’t want to talk to my husband. My husband turned to me and stated the rude individual wouldn’t speak to him like that face to face. After which this individual then began ranting that he’d been threatened with violence. Unbelievable. Saying that a person wouldn’t speak to one face to face rudely is considered a ‘threat of violence.’ The CS agent then slammed the phone down. Disgusting behaviour and the worst treatment after years of being with sky, in my home and business. I’m now leaving sky and they can send as many threatening letters as they want. I simply wanted to inform them of the change of circumstances. I did not want to leave or end my contract. I feel the responses I received were Rude, arrogant, trying to humiliate and belittle me and even racist. He was literally talking down to me, like I was stupid or lower than him. I am registered disabled and tried explaining that I am partly deaf which is why I’m loud. My tone is loud due to my partial deafness. He didn’t seem to listen or care and continued to insult me by insisting I was shouting and belittle me and my husband constantly. Sky never ever again.
Customer service is below zero. I’ve been with sky since 2005 on and off but never ever face such a rude person. Am definitely leaving sky one way or other.

Ongoing intermittent problem since nov 2015. 6 engineers to date and the problem still exists. Asked to speak to a manager yesterday, i've given-up hope on receiving the call. To my horror, I was asked do I still have an extension cable from socket to router -- the last but one engineer moved the inlet cable by front door, some 6 weeks ago. Why has that not been reflected in my records? Performance is poor and i'm now considering moving house as I work from home for a technology company and expected to be online!!! come on SKY, are you really that bad?? I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU SERVICES TO ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND.

I am very disappointed with sky in all their services especially with my broadband it's been few months now my broadband is not working well I tried everything they told me to do through Facebook messenger but still is not picking up. The customer service guys are not helpful at all and are very impatient and I have been paying my bill without a faith. I have decided to leave sky and look for a better provider which I was recommended by my family. Its frustrating especially when they think you are just annoying though their broadband is not free and you pay your bill. I won't recommend sky to anyone especially their broadband provider and customer services it's appalling.

Didn’t want to know so changed to another provider for almost £10 less with !!! Very happy now good night sky… sadly won’t be ever going back due to them putting prices up far to much and far to often..
Ps… keep changing as being loyal is expensive !!!

If I could give ZERO star, I will. Customer service advisors are very rude. You will be extremely lucky to come across a polite one. They all need training.
Very impossible to escalate complaints to managers. It's like they are not even there as they are never available. Not surprised.
Promise of call back that never happens.
    Absolutely disgusting company.
I doubt the staff gets continous trainings as they behave and speak with no emphaty, they don't listen, they don't ask the right questions and can't even resolve. They interrupt and peak to you very rudely while hiding behind the phone.
You will feel worse after speaking to them compared to before calling sky.
Customer service is shocking and absolutely rubbish.
All noisy at the background and you will hear them laughing so loud like baberians as well as playing and that makes it difficult to talk or focus on the reason for your call. They speak to you grumpily and sometimes you feel like they have food in their mouth while attending to you.
They are so ignorant that they do not realise that you can still tell they are rubbish even on the phone. They think been on the phone can carmoflag them.
Very rude people and you just wonder how you find yourself doing business with such a disgusting company.

Safe yourself some stress and take your money elsewhere. Your mental health is very important and not worth sky and it's quack customer service.

We've been with sky for years, but since last October it's been gruelling.

We've had several days to a week without access. The WiFi from the router is exceedingly weak. we can only get it about 1/2 meters away from the router.

The speed has gone from 80mbs down to 40mbs, and I've had everything replaced from my house to the street box. Still they claim it's not their fault. I've given up, its a pain to change broadband but I've reached the point of it being the only thing I can do.

And they've charged us more for the privilege!

If you even consider going with sky, heed these words. They've got decent ratings on review sites (god knows how) but they're utter unmitigated rubbish.

The worst experience ever. Broadband stopped working and nobody at Sky seems to care. There’s no way to escalate it to a manager even after 2 weeks. They keep changing appointments, then when they come they say it’s someone else’s fault like openreach, who come back and say it’s definitely a sky fault. Nobody calls when they say they will. They don’t seem to keep notes on calls that have taken place, and you spend hours on hold trying to get through to them. Even the sky help staff say it’s not good enough but there’s nothing they can do. Stay away, anyone would be better than sky!

BEWARE have had a few broadband suppliers in the past I have to sky is appalling service all round never experienced such issues with a provider, had the service for a year constantly dropping service I mean at least up to 10 times a day speeds were terrible trying to run a business at home was made so terrible by these clowns and when u call them they go through the same robotic rubbish with you each time and five u off luckily my contract has now expired and going to virgin they had the cheek to call and offer 12 months free line rental as I cancelled the contract but I told them to stick it were the sun doesn't shine, that take ur money and give u a poor poor service and think it's ok, best of it is my previous provider O2 was excellent but was bought by these muppets so overall if u want broadband stay away sky as they live in the sky I think lol do ur homework first.

Service leaves a lot to be desired. Various reasons for inability to down downgrade subscriptions easily i.e. remove Sky Movies. Various responses from Sky, toraise an MHR in response to an MHR to already raised, to a phone call from Sky explaining due to data protection I could not be allowed to downgrade when signed in to MySky - although obviously no such issue in upgrades; also Sky rep would require my password - I declined. Also had the following response to my complaint to Sky - "Please be adviced that downgrading any package would involve changes in billing and this would not be easy for the customers to understand. Hence we request our customers to contact our Customer Service team in order to felicitate a downgrade on the Sky account." Obviously Sky customers are able to understand their bills when upgrading but understanding a bill following a downgrade would be a step too far - obviously we can't be expected to understand the complications of a pro rata bill. Please Sky, make up your mind what is the reason for inability to make downgrades on line - could it be income generated?
