We have braodband and anytime phone calls with the Post Office and setup has been quick and easy.
The braodband package is up to 38mbps which has proved very stable and consistent, we are getting at least 37mbps up to 37.78mbps at all times of the day.
The support team are friendly and know their stuff however we haven't needed much imput from them as issues with the service have been minor.
Based on experience from other providers of phone and braodband in the past and problems with braodband stability the Post Office have done us proud.
I would highly recommend the post office on our experience so far.

If only I had read these awful reviews before I transferred my broadband and phone from BT to the PO on 12th January. I am experiencing the same as everyone else and the general service is diabolical. I cannot continue or I will have a breakdown, my nerves can't take any more after just a few weeks. I have today sent a recorded delivery letter stating that I am cancelling my DD with them and returning to BT. I am paying more than I have ever done for broadband as I have no service after more than 20ft in a bungalow, so having to keep buying more data for my mobile. 4g seems my only way of using the internet. I have to use my printer using the IP address as it won't print from devices. If the PO wish to take me to court for cancellation, they can, I don't care, I cannot put up with this dreadful service any longer. It is they who are in breach of contract as they are not providing the service that we are all paying for. I wouldn't have the PO broadband if they offered it to me free of charge. I am ready to challenge them. If you value your sanity, please avoid this company.

Where do I start?! Reading all other reviewers is like reading my own problems! 2 years of sheer headaches with this 'provider' and I've finally given up. Initial set up went wrong leaving me with no service for over a month, then the service was so bad that I might as well not of had any quite frankly. Numerous calls to technical support were carbon copies of other reviews on here, plug into test socket, it's your home, charge for engineer etc. Engineer visited and said the problem was with BT, I have been screenshotting the connection when it drops and have 100s! Told by Post Office once issue was resolved that I'd be compensated and that I wouldn't receive this bill only to receive it anyway. Rang customer service and told blatant lies that there's no problem and the bill will need paid despite me being promised it didn't! If the internet is working fine then how come I have screenshots saying connected but no internet or ready to conbect when quality of internet improves? And how are so many people here saying the same thing?! Avoid this shoddy company at all costs, terrible customer service and total lack of internet at times and sometimes internet being off the whole day! I'd of liked to give no star at all but had to so I could leave a review.

I was switched from fuel broadband to post office broadband when the buyout happened. The assumption was that only the name of the provider would change but how wrong I was !!!!! Speed is up and down, never as fast or as stable as Fuel Broadband was and sometimes I just give up trying to watch netflix. Stuck in a contract, any way out?

DO NOT SIGN UP. CHEAP FOR A REASON.
Promised good speeds but actual speed was 0.7mpbs at best - totally unusable. Previous broadband supplier gave speeds of 6mpbs.
Post Office tech support initially blamed it on my phone socket until I told them it worked fine with previous supplier.
They finally admitted that they couldn't deliver the speeds promised and contract was ended.
They didn't complete switchover correctly which took several calls to resolve.
Back with my old supplier and I suddenly have 7mbps!
Very nice staff at the post office telecoms team but unfortunately let down by poor broadband speeds.

Appalling - don't even be tempted. I placed my order, they told me when the service would go live and then cancelled the order. When I called to sort this out I was told I had to wait another 2 weeks and there was nothing they could do. I then had to phone 3 times to get the voice mail service switched off, each time I was told it had been done. My broadband speed is at best appalling at worst unusable at 0.1 mbps
Everytime I ring customer services they tell me to send in screen shots of speed tests, ping tests and trace tests. Then there's some reason they can't accept them. The last lot I sent were going to be sent to BT openreach to investigate the fault - but they didn't send them in time so that I now have to spend a day performing tests again and send them again. Each time I send them something it's another week before they respond. .. I'm now 6 months into an 18 month contract and loosing the will to live. I couldn't even be bothered to be angry about it today!

Not even worth one star i have had problems from the very start when pput in they put it against a wall so I couldn't take the face off the box if anything went wrong, he then changed the leads and told me i would not be charged then tried to bill me. then called them after i came home from work to find it not working ,they asked me to take the face off the box and I couldn't so they had to send an engineer to fix it and told me i could be charged up to £140 he was here for 4 hours they sent me a faulty kit to start with then went up the pole to check that out and other things after he left it worked the day after fine then 2 days later netflix on my tv stopped working and random websites like adsa wont load on my laptop i called them up and they said if you are connected by one device thats good enough for the company absolutely disgraceful service

Furious that I pay for fibre and still get a cheap speed that constantly buffers. Customer service do not help in the slightest and tell lies. I was turned of today even though I paid my bill at the beginning of the month I was even told when I called that he could see that and does not know why my internet was turned of he said he had gone straight to exchange to get it lifted within an hour 3 hours later still not lifted so my boyfriend called them and was told I called today paid the bill after the restrictions no I have proof from my bank it was at the beginning of the month and k was told that by the previous customer service rep. But then the second one said the first one had not spoken to exchange so therefore it would take 24 hours. So I went mad no way I paid my bill and should not have been restricted. He now says he definitely has spoken to exchange and it will take 2 hours to lift no I want it on now I need it on I'm furious. I will be speaking to the ombudsmen if it isn't on in 10 minutes.

I switched from BT to Post Office broadband in Jan 2018. The big switch over day was 5th Feb.18. BT switched off my services at about 10.15am. Post Office livened things up at about 16.30 so the switch isnt quite seamless. The internet was quite unstable for the first 12 hours. Mobile phones having trouble connecting etc. I reset smart plugs a number of times. Amazon echo and dot ended up having a mind of their own.!! I called Post Office and they did SOMETHING to the router and everything seemed to settle down. A week later I was still thinking that although it was all working, things were not as they should be. I sent a message to Post Office online and they called back within 24 hours. I previously used my own TP Link modem router when I was with BT. They were very friendly and talked me through the settings I needed to set my own router - log in name and password etc (not that same as the account log in) and suddenly EVERYTHING was working great. All smart devices - plugs, bulbs, phones, tablets, TVs laptops...the lot. Im now getting a slightly faster speed than when I was with BT. My conclusion is that the Post Office router just isnt very good. It works but it should be better. To be fair I didnt think much of my BT or Sky one when I was with them so I think a lot of ISPs are simply giving out 'free' modem routers that are just not as good as they should be. If you want a decent modem router, best buy your own than use the ones ISPs send out.!!

Was struggling financially and at a low point when I saw this PO home phone & broadband advertised in my local branch.
Was given a ‘Go live’ date in October 2017. Day came and went. Had already received welcome pack and router, no engineer showed up to do installation. and no phone or internet service ‘went live’. Calling customer services. spoke to various personnel. ranging from politely useless to downright nasty. Eventually, long story short, ‘service’ started. They had told me that if I report a fault, and it turns out to be my equipment or home wiring ( I don’t even own my flat) then I will be liable to pay £140. I am too nervy to report the constant faults, in case they somehow manage to blame me. And the call charges are a rip off and I can’t view my bill online, even with a device that can handle the outdated adobe flash that they use. Grrr. I’m ditching this **** as soon as I can.

Worst decision I ever made. Switched providers from Sky to Post Office. Post Office switched off my Sky then left me with no broadband and told me it would take a week to sort. Only after blasting them on Twitter did they attempt to sort it in 24hrs. Problem was it would only work on my laptop not my phone nor catch up TV. Rang tech support they told me that that as I had internet connection any issues with my phone were my problem and same for TV. Impossible to log in non phone - several people have tried it and its impmossible. I am cancelling the contract I have had it 3 days. Rubbish don't use.

PO failed to fix the issue so i left the service, they promised to compensation for 3 months of payments which I never received.

I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I was tempted by the £19 per month offer for broadband and telephone.from BT. I was given two dates..one for my phone transfer and one for my broadband...they didn't even inform but I was moving my broadband...supposed to happen in 23rd of this month and was told it is not going to happen due to technical problems and they can't give me a date. Now I am laying £16.99 for their phone line and BT are charging me £38.00 for broadband only...£54.99 a month as opposed to £32.99 for both broadband and line with BT. The biggest mistake ever in changing internet providers. Don't ever switch to the Post Office. I am going to cancel regardless of the costs...they are appalling.

Worst provider in UK. My download speed is 1.5 Mb since the beginning of my contract. Customer service is friendly but they can't do anything. I'm going to complain to the ombudsman. This reminds me the times you had to dial on the phone to get online. The service drops without notice, well, really a disaster. Users and customers don't have any right nowadays, which is nothing but hidden crime. Avoid this please, it's the worst thing I have experienced in more than 20 years.

WORST MISTAKE I EVER, EVER MADE!!!!. I'm usually very savvy with things like looking at reviews but this one I missed. Was persuaded by the price cause I was paying through the nose for sky. IT HAS NEVER WORKED. Broadband drops out every time the telephone is used and wifi range is shocking. I wanted to cancel within 1 day of going live and they told me it would cost me over £200 to get out of the contract. Technical staff are fobbing me off and one guy even told me it was my house that was the problem and have just been told it will cost me £135 to get an engineer to come and check out the wiring. 18 months of this shocking service is going to be hard to bear. Going to complain to the ombudsman. This surely can't be Service in the 21st century.

As a post office employee I changed to Post office Broadband- after all it's a product I'm supposed to promote. The transition was smooth, but the broadband seemed slow. Its wasn't until I wanted to watch a programme on iplayer over christmas that I realised how useless it was! it took 3 hours to download a half hour programme- it buffered too much to watch it without downloading- in the end I missed the opportunity to see one of the few programmes that apealed to me! :(
unless all youwant to do is readi your e mails- this is not for you. The post office broadband staff were very sympathetic and helpful, and I was able to break my contact without penalty because the minimum guaranteed speed of 8 rarely got above 1.2!

This is the worst service I've ever had, the broadband keeps dropping out, I'm on my second modem from them still a rubbish service. The so called online engineer tries to blame me and my equipment which is not faulty, my son is a Microsoft certified engineer. No other provider has had difficulty in providing broadband. I strongly suggest DON'T USE THIS COMPANY they're unable to provide what you pay for, I'm 5 months into an 18 moth contract and am going to leave and will take the Post Office to court for breach of contract and claim the £300+ and all costs I've had to bear. They are rip off cowboys.

Wow, I never though the internet could be so slow. After switching a couple of months ago we get a little blip of normal speed in the mornings but then it all grinds to a halt after lunchtime, after weeks of daily phone calls they admitted there was nothing they could do to fix the issue - old tech, rural location, too far from exchange etc, which is funny as our previous supplier had no issues supplying us reliable bb) The only positive is they answer the phone within a few minutes, unfortunately they're usually clueless on the otherside and it's extremely difficult to speak to a manager even after repeated direct requests and multiple failed promises of call backs.

They may be cheap but it really isn't worth it.

    AVOID AT ALL COST

I am still waiting for a reply to an email I sent their help team in the same month (now January 2018). My broadband stops completely when there is an incoming land line call. I went through all the options when this first happened, including taking the cover off the phone line box and attaching the filter directly inside there, leaving the box exposed to my grandchildren fingers is NOT a good idea. Also, I cannot view my bills at all. I have had no repose whatsoever from Post Office to any of my queries. I can give them thumbs up though for when I decided to switch to them. They were helpful, polite and very encouraging. However, I really do regret moving. Downside for me, I foolishly paid upfront for a years line rental. If I close the account now, I will lose that payment. But it is going to be worth it to get decent broadband and decent customer service. I moved because I thought they would be cheaper than my previous provider. They are but they are most certainly NOT anywhere near as good. None of my friends are with Post office and none of them have the hassle I am getting to simply view my account online and certainly not being able to view my bill is ridiculous. Over all I cannot recommend anyone using Post Office for broadband and phone.

Absolutely terrible. If you are thinking of changing then don't, especially if you are a gamer on console. You always lag and the customer service is rubbish , I would recommend moving to Plusnet as they cost the same and higher Wi-Fi speeds.

When I moved from Dorset to Sussex I kept my phone account active as, to start with, I was still visiting my old flat.

When I finally came to close my account at the start of October I went onto Fuel broadband website and discovered they'd sold their telecommunications business to the PO; this was the first I knew about it. I then checked my bank statements and discovered the PO were charging me nearly double what FB had been. Not a nice way to discover my telephone provider has been changed

I finally found some emails from the PO in my spam folder; I now had an account number for them. I E-Mailed them requesting my account be closed, they told me I have to ring up to close my account and that they won't close it till I ring; surely it's not legal for them to blatantly ignore my instructions. I finally got a cancellation order put on my account today though 14 days seems like a long time to take to cancel an account; maybe 14 days is how long it takes their slow internet speed to deal with the cancelation request.

I went with Post Office Broadband due to its price. It cuts out multiple times a day. Customer service tried to be helpful but as it is intermittent there wasn't much they could do. I would not recommend unless you really can't afford anything better.
