Really bad, barely had it few day now and hardly had any signal from my broadband at all. I was promised of a good and reliable router with the signal speed of 19 to 23mbps, all I could get is 100 to 30kbps (old dialup strength) to put it bluntly it is dreadful considering I work in the video games industry which requires me use the internet to move and upload lots of data around. If anyone is looking wireless broadband I highly recommend you avoid EE's bright box simple horrible I only wished I stayed with BT I never had this problem with them.

We bought an 18 month deal up front at the same speed as our previous broadband deal (~20MB), which is perfect for us as 2 people living in a small flat, only using the internet for streaming SD videos. The speed is abysmal since we switched, and regularly drops to below 1MB. EE have tried to fix this my playing around with our router settings remotely, but we really haven't been happy with the service at all! It just keeps happening, and we cant even load the speed test website sometimes, let alone watch videos! On top of this, they raised the charge by £2 a month a few months after we joined, when we thought we were getting a fixed price deal by paying for 18 months up front. Really disappointed!

Have been without broadband for 3 weeks and service still not restored. Spent MANY hours on phone already and 4 visits from Openreach engineer which have taken up 5 hour sliots for each. Warning that £50.00 penalty would be imposed if equipment at home is found to be the problem.
Long delays each time I call with assurances that they pride their excellent service. One return call promised faithfully but not fulfilled and one promise to supply replacement route by return not honoured. Personnel appear to be helpful but no progress has been made. The Management need to know these problems and take positive action to provide acceptable level of service.
We have two mobile phones from EE and receive low level of internet access or occasionally no service. All this living within 4 miles of a major city centre and less than 1 kilometre from the control unit. Decisive action required or replacement of senior staff who CAN DO and justify their positions.

I switched to EE as I was having problem with TALK TALK. The presentation was great: good salesman, UK based call center: so we signed.

We left as EE turnt out to be worse than Talk Talk.

BROADBAND: it kept dropping out and the speed kept dropping. After 6 o clock and on weekends, we were not even able to stream movies. We had to call Tech Support each time and after going through their painful troubleshot procedure (which include checking the same things every time despite having checked already 20 times) the speed was back to normal only for a few days - then again painfully slow.

CUSTOMER SERVICE - although their customer service is UK based, when you go to TECH support the support is based in India or Pakistan. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as it is but the line was bad and there is a 2 second delay which makes talking really hard. We had to scream on the phone and sometimes was really hard to understand each other.

    So...not a good experience for us :)

I have been with EE for the past four years! And how do they re-pay you for loyalty? - By constant price increase and decrease in their service!

When I first ordered EE - I had 17MB broadband speed with no issues, no disconnections, no problems. I was really happy with it!

After the contract ended the price increased and broadband speed dropped to 15mb. Year later price increased again and broadband speed dropped to 12mb. This year price increased again, and the speed dropped to 6MB.

They do not watch their lines for faults at all. If your connections drops you will have to prove them its their fault, as they will never admit it. If you contact them by mail, answer will arrive just about a week later.

If you are with EE and your contract ended, change the provider, as your service will drop and they just don't care about you no more.

I had enough, switched the provider last week.

The internet connection goes from 6.69 to 18.52 Mb without warning, that is when I do not loose connection. I have notified EE several time with this problem without getting a resolution to it. FYI they advertise up to 76Mb per second in my area!!! But the monthly charge remains the same... Of course

I was supposed to have a 4GB max sum plan that I could use abroad, however, they never set me up for abroad roaming so now my phone is set to the wrong time and I can't text, call or use data abroad. It's annoying as I don't even get the he message to confirm i'm in another country. The workers also don't know what the he here talking about. I asked about my plan and they said it wasn't for abroad, yet when I checked it was. I called again and they said it was. They have no idea what they are telling thwir customers and are not fully educated in what they inform. It's devestating.

Avoid EE broadband. Worst WiFi I’ve ever had. Constantly drops connection even to devices in the next room from the router. Parents also have EE broadband in a different area and they’ve had exactly the same experience.

We changed from BT as they offered the same speed for a much lower price. We are supposed to be getting 35 Mb/s however from speed tests done at various times I struggle to get 5 ... most getting 2-3. EE themselves have tested it and got 6 ... at 11am on a weekday. They have sent two engineers, neither of whom know how to fix the problem and have said it's probably because the cable has broken a few times so they have made new connections and each connection reduces the speed. So why weren't we told this before hand?? Why are we paying for 30+ and not even getting 5! I can't play any xbox games online as it is sooo lagging. I can't watch a 30s video without it buffering 10 times. EE have royally f****d us over.

So very disappointed with EE broadband. They have made it clear they are not big players as a supplier. We regularly get new routers - the light box that doesn't last long. Very awful. Cannot wait til the contract ends - we will be leaving EE broadband. Please, if you have not yet bought EE broadband then DON'T!!! Waste of time, money and effort.

If you want to sit for hours staring at things loading then this is ideal for you, however if you actually want to recieve a service your actually paying for like reliable broadband speeds then dont bother with EE and thats saying alot as ive been with talk talk previous and let me tell you they were 100x better at providing a good relatively fast speed. EE is so pittifully slow that ut would actually be faster to go down to the local library and use books to find the answet to anything you may need. 0/5!!!!!!

I was sold this package, told that I would receive 3 months free and free installation. Neither of which have materialized, setting me back £75. I have been in store 3 times to try and get this sorted and have called the broadband customer services team a number of times. Every time there is a 'new' procedure that can be tried, or I have to contact the other option (so the store send me to the phone broadband team or vice versa). Plainly put it's a nightmare. The speed is OK (not great) and the reliability is poor, over the WiFi even though the router is on my desk the connection keeps dropping. Have to use a wire for my devises that have that option. I would stay away at all costs! Still chasing, will edit if I get any joy.

Unbelievable, i wan't to upgrade to fibre optic, spend 10min on phone going through all the particulars, then right at the end he says "you have to have a mobile phone with us to get fibre optic" what the hell has a mobile phone got anything to do with fibre optic broadband. The mind boggles, my contract runs out in August so will sign up with someone else...

    AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
When is works the internet is standard at best but overall highly unreliable internet connection and speeds (in London - what hope for anywhere else) that is rarely anywhere near reasonable speed particularly in the evenings. With one user we struggle to watch iplayer/OnDemand TV due to slow data transfer. Two users and it grind to halt and network/connection error. Worse still is their diabolical customer service. Much like other bad reviews I have experienced being on hold for long periods of time, then speaking to someone who talks nonsensical jargon and continuously swerves questions falling back to repeating nonsense. Promises of call backs, 'removed caps', manager call backs and engineer visits all empty. Highly unimpressed and would actively encourage to use alternative providers for the sake of your sanity.

I only gave the top two categories one star because zero is not possible. This is not only the worst company I have ever dealt with, they are criminal. They breached their T&Cs countless times, made falls promises, proved to be completely incapable of sorting out the most minor of issues, haven't got the slightest modicum of customer service mentality and have even acted fraudulently. To everyone: Do Not Go With This Company!! You will regret it and you will find it almost impossible to leave!! I am on the brink of beginning a legal battle with these incompetent, scandalous, unintelligible people. Not to mention the complete uselessness of their call centre. STAY AWAY!!!!

Persuaded in store to take up Home Phone & Broadband with EE. Always been ok on mobile phones and they told us we could keep our email address so got ourselves talked into it. Worst move ever! E mail stopped working, spent hours on the phone waiting to get through - then cannot understand what they are saying most of the time. Technical staff were abrupt, rude and very unhelpful. Asked to speak to a supervisor and they put you through to a phone that rings for half an hour then cuts you off. Get through to their complaints team who promise to investigate and call you back and a week later you're still waiting. Get back in touch with the original store and turns out they lied!! Letter done to their Head Office and Ofcom.

No communication from ee towards end of yearly contract regarding possible new packages available, they just slung me on a monthly tariff despite my having paid yearly in advance previous 2 years.Their accounting procedures are labarythim so it is difficult to work out when you year is up as time money comes out of your account bears no relation to start/ending dates of your 12 months.

BT had become too expensive; have them the chance to sharpen their pencil. BT offered EE as a better priced alternative (since learnt that BT will soon exit this market and be replaced by EE). New service live 4th April. 2 decent days. Rubbish ever since. EE arranged for an engineer to show 8/4 am. Sat in all morning (then all day). No show. Unable to tell me why no show or when they will arrive. Omni shambles

The router supplied by EE was defective. I don't know if this is a widespread problem affecting the Brightbox 1 but, in our situation, it made internet browsing completely impossible - 5 to 10 second waits for a webpage to load; latency and ping readings through the roof. The connection itself is alright: we swapped out the router for a spare we had lying around and the speed was as it should be. If we hadn't been able to do this, though, we'd have had to put up with a shockingly slow internet experience for 12 months, as the staff at EE's call centre are hopelessly bad. We tried getting them to diagnose and replace the router but they were next to useless, so in the end we binned the EE router and stuck with our own.

I purchased the package detailed and was delighted with the speed and reliability initially. However for over a month the speed has been dropping as low as 0.41 Mbps, bearing in mind I'm on an up to 49.7 Mbps fibre connection. EE continue leaving me voicemails at 5.00 pm after I e-mail them, informing them I work until 5.30 pm and can they contact me at 7.30 pm. On each occasion they agree to that, then call at 5.00 pm stating they are unable to assist me because they can't get in contact! Next stop is Ofcom.

So disappointed with EE broadband. Have been with Sky for years and years and got talked into changing to EE when my mobile contract came up for renewal. So wish I hadn't! Fed up with constantly seeing "no internet connection, no internet connection"
Had to wait weeks for an engineer to come out to tell me that there is nothing wrong, it could be the BT line and if they find no fault I will have to pay. Can't wait for my contract to end!!

Awful customer service. 30 minutes wait to get through to a rude, abrupt and impatient worker! Further 30 minutes pulling wires out, sticking paper clips into the back of router, rebooting etc. End result, told cannot fix and hung up!

Next day I ring cancellations, they try every trick in book to keep me as a customer but when they failed to convince me, they now keep me waiting for days to release a Mac key which I need to change supplier. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Awful broadband speeds and even worse customer service. Excuses for poor speed ranged from "a problem at the exchange" to "it must be something your doing wrong". Changed provider = no more issues. They really don't care about customer service or customer retention. Avoid!

    WORST WIFI EVER!
Do not do it to yourself. Even when I am the ONLY person as home and I am RIGHT next to the router, it still does not work.

    AVOID EE BROADBAND.
Switched from BT to EE and nothing but problems from day 1. Their level 1 help kept telling me line speed was OK and would not accept it kept dropping out. Got through to Level 2 who insisted on an Openreach visit even though it was clear it wasn't a fault on the line (since perfect service with BT). After 3 call outs and an unacceptable amount of bad service they agreed to release me early from my contract. Switched back to BT today, no faults.
