Comparing home broadband in Sunderland
If it is home broadband you’re after, start by putting your postcode into the comparison table above: this will narrow our search down to broadband deals that should be available in your street. You can then compare based on price, speed and other factors such as upfront costs or even free gifts.
Alternatively, if you’re not too tech-savvy, head instead to our guides section to find out what all the jargon means. You're also welcome to give us a call on the number at the top of the page and let us do the leg work for you.
The good news is, all areas of Sunderland now have access to superfast broadband of at least 30Mb. Those in East Herrington, Hylton, Ryhope and Washington are also served by Virgin Media's cable network for fast fibre speeds up to 1.1Gb.
Comparing mobile broadband in Sunderland
Sunderland has reasonably good 4G coverage from all four networks - EE, O2, Three and Vodafone (although the latter is slightly more limited).
5G coverage is a bit thin on the ground, so you should confirm this with a provider before purchasing a new mobile deal if this is important to you.
Again, you’ll need to do a postcode check to make sure the network you want has good coverage in your area. Be sure to check everywhere you’ll want to get online (home, work, college etc). The difference is that you’ll need to go to the network’s coverage checker to do this – which you can do by clicking the network logos below:
